Days of Our Lives Update Monday 12/21/20

Kristen holds her family photo in prison when Brady shows up to wish her a Merry Christmas. Kristen rushes up to hug him and they kiss.
Maggie enters the living room of the Kiriakis Mansion and tells Victor that it's Christmas Eve so enough with business. Maggie then presents Victor with a Santa hat but Victor refuses to put it on. Maggie encourages that everyone is going to be there soon and Victor's attitude will send them all away. Victor says that works for him. Maggie insists so Victor agrees to wear it but not until people get there. Victor then asks if Maggie is okay. Maggie wishes Sarah and Xander were together for Christmas as they were so in love and it doesn't make any sense that they just ended things.
Sarah is in her room and calls Xander to wish him a Merry Christmas. Xander is walking through the town square and tells her it's not very merry without her. Sarah says she's supposed to be celebrating with her family but she misses him too much so she came to call him. Xander says he didn't count on them being apart for Christmas as part of their plan. Sarah says he's all she wants for Christmas and she'll be thinking of him. Xander says he loves her. Sarah responds that she loves him too and hangs up as Philip then appears in her doorway and questions if she was talking to Xander.
Justin visits Adrienne's grave with roses as he talks about wishing he was waking up with her. Justin talks about past Christmas traditions and missing their sons. Justin cries that most of all he misses her as she will always be the best part of him. Justin wishes her a Merry Christmas.
Xander walks through the town square and peeks into the salvation army donations bucket. Chloe appears and questions if he's still looking for easy money. Xander says he was just donating and wishes a Merry Christmas. Chloe brings up their past in Mexico with El Fideo. Xander apologizes for that and says it was more Theresa's fault that they left her behind. Chloe says that's the Xander they all know and despise. Xander points out that she survived and suggests they let bygones be bygones for Christmas.
Sarah tells Philip that she was talking to her sister Melissa, who wanted to join them for Christmas but she can't. Philip says he's sorry to hear that and that he jumped to the wrong conclusion. Sarah assures that Xander is the last person he'd like to spend Christmas with. Sarah suggests they go get some of Maggie's Christmas cookies. Philip apologizes for kissing her before since she's on the rebound and doesn't want another relationship so he will try to respect that from now on. Sarah thanks him. Philip admits that he is very attracted to her and thinks they'd be good together. Sarah says she does too but she's not trying to rush in to anything. Philip jokes with her to avoid the mistletoe as he then exits the room and Sarah follows him out.
Kristen asks Brady about Rachel. Brady tells her that she has a slight fever so he and Marlena agreed not to bring her to be safe. Brady knows that disappoints Kristen. Kristen talks about Christmas being magical for children so she was looking forward to seeing it through Rachel's eyes. Brady suggests maybe they can still do that. Brady tells Kristen that Rachel isn't with them now but they can focus on their future and having Christmas together at home. Kristen says she imagines that all the time. Brady wants to know all the details that she sees. Kristen imagines their home being wonderful and welcoming. Kristen says she couldn't take the DiMera Mansion from Chad but points out that's not the only mansion. Kristen then imagines a future Christmas at the Kiriakis Mansion with Maggie as the maid, Victor as the butler, and Xander as the gardener. Brady tells her that he loves it and then gives her a Christmas present from Rachel, a card that she made just for her.
Chloe tells Xander that she has put what happened in Mexico behind her and says it sounds like he has too. Chloe calls it a big step up to go from drug lords to running Titan with Philip. Xander brings up Chloe and Philip going way back. Chloe says they are friends so she warned Philip not to turn his back on Xander or he might find a knife in it. Xander tells her that he's not the man he was in Mexico thanks to love. Chloe questions why he's alone on Christmas Eve then. Xander tells her that he and Sarah broke up so he's persona non grata at the Kiriakis Mansion. Xander asks why Chloe is not with her family. Chloe says she was planning to be but her flight was canceled. Xander then gets a call from Maggie, who invites him to join them for Christmas Eve, saying that he belongs with them. Xander asks about Sarah. Maggie says she will deal with her and orders Xander to just come. Xander says he never could say no to her and hangs up. Xander tells Chloe that he will be with his family after all. Xander adds that Chloe shouldn't be alone on Christmas Eve and invites her to join him. Chloe points out that Victor would have a fit. Xander notes that she's a good friend of Philip, who wouldn't want her to be alone on Christmas Eve.
Philip and Sarah join Maggie and Victor in the living room. Maggie says she was about to come looking for them. They all wish a Merry Christmas. Sarah spots the cookies. Maggie tells her not to fill up on those as she has to help hang the stockings. Philip picks up Xander's stocking and says it can be thrown away. Maggie brings up Xander but Sarah says she doesn't want to talk about him today.
Bonnie comes out of the Brady Pub and runs in to Justin. They wish each other a Merry Christmas. Bonnie says she was just on her way out. Justin tells her not to let him keep her. Bonnie says she has nowhere to go so she's not in a rush and it's good to see a friend. Justin asks about her date. Bonnie jokes with him while Justin says it's obvious that she's trying to make him jealous again. Bonnie asks why as she believes he's back with Kayla but Justin assures that he's not which she questions. Justin reveals to Bonnie that he was late for their date because Kayla needed some emergency legal help for her son but she didn't give him a chance to explain. Justin repeats that he and Kayla are not back together. Justin says he's sure Bonnie has plans and wishes her a Merry Christmas. Bonnie informs him that she doesn't have any plans. Justin asks about the guy she went out with. Bonnie admits she just wanted to get back at Justin because she thought he and Kayla got back together. Bonnie suggests they can have their date now if he wants. Justin says he would like that but he's celebrating Christmas Eve with his family. Bonnie understands his family hates her. Justin suggests they go out sometime soon, maybe for the New Year. Bonnie says that would be great. Justin says he will call her and wishes her a Merry Christmas. Bonnie starts to walk away but Justin stops her.
Maggie tells Sarah that she knows she and Xander broke up. Sarah says she never wants to see him again. Maggie argues that Xander is family and family should be together on Christmas Eve. Xander then walks in and says he couldn't agree more as he wishes them a Merry Christmas. Sarah questions what he's doing there. Xander informs her that Maggie invited him. Sarah questions why she did that. Maggie declares there's no better time than Christmas to be with the people you love. Sarah argues that she doesn't even like Xander or want to be in the same room as him. Sarah then claims she's moved on. Xander says that's good to hear because he's moved on as well as Chloe then walks into the room, shocking Philip. Victor shouts absolutely not and that he'd rather have coal in his stocking than Chloe Lane in this house. Xander tells Victor that's no way to treat his date. Chloe quietly questions that but Xander nods at her to go along with it as Sarah and Philip look on. Xander says he hopes Sarah won't be too jealous. Sarah questions why she would be jealous. Sarah then grabs a mistletoe and kisses Philip. Philip says he's getting into the Christmas spirit. Xander then grabs a mistletoe as well but Chloe tells him it's not happening. Sarah and Philip laugh as Philip guesses his date's not that into him. Maggie wants to keep the peace. Philip remarks on Xander having two women completely repulsed by him. Xander tells him to shut his mouth. Philip asks if he's going to hit him. Xander claims he would never hit his co-CEO, especially not on Christmas Eve, since Victor is counting on them to behave as adults and work together.
Kristen talks to Brady about knowing Rachel is so excited for Christmas. Brady jokes about getting everything on her list. Brady adds that he got her a doll that he made sure was from Kristen. Kristen wishes she could see her. Brady promises to take thousands of pictures and says they will have a photo album for every Christmas.
Philip tells Chloe that he's glad she's not alone on Christmas even if she had to come with Xander. Chloe says she should've known something was up when Xander invited her. Xander goes over to Sarah and comments that she looks beautiful. Sarah reminds him to hate her because they have an audience. Sarah questions what was up with bringing Chloe. Xander admits he thought it would set off Philip. Sarah points out that it backfired. Xander says he kept his cool and got to see Sarah on Christmas Eve so he's a happy man. Sarah whispers on how difficult it is to pretend she doesn't want to hug and kiss him. Justin arrives and wishes everyone a Merry Christmas. Maggie hugs him and says it's so good to see him. Victor is glad he could join the celebration. Justin says he wouldn't miss this and hopes it would be okay that he brought a guest. Victor asks if it's Sonny. Justin says Sonny unfortunately couldn't make it. Victor asks who he brought then. Justin explains that he wanted to prepare them for her arrival. Victor says to just tell them. Bonnie then walks in and wishes them a Merry Christmas, surprising everyone in the room. Victor demands he get her out of the house now because they are not celebrating anything with Bonnie Lockhart. Maggie tells Justin that for once, she agrees with Victor and questions how Justin could bring Bonnie in to this home after what she did to Adrienne. Justin insists that Bonnie deeply regrets what she did and has resolved to become a better person. Justin says no one was more upset with Bonnie after what she did to Adrienne but when Bonnie hired him for some legal work, he got to know her better. Justin assures that Bonnie has changed and reveals that she donated her large settlement to Sonny's new business venture to help women with breast cancer. Justin says he saw her heart and remorse which impressed him so they have become friends. Justin declares that if Bonnie is not welcome here, they will just leave. Bonnie tells Justin to stay and she will go as it was a mistake to ever come. Victor stops Bonnie and praises Justin as a person, saying they should all try to be like him. Victor admits he doesn't see what Justin sees in Bonnie but if he wants to include her in their Christmas Eve celebration, then she's welcome to stay. Bonnie says she's surprised and that it's really nice of him. Bonnie promises not to bother anyone. Victor tells her to just enjoy herself. Bonnie jokes about Victor being softer than he lets on while Maggie jokes that it must be the Santa hat. Philip tells Sarah that Xander bringing Chloe to the party was obvious but it didn't work. Sarah calls it a stupid and petty thing that he would do. Philip knows kissing Sarah was for show but he felt it was more than taking things slow. Sarah apologizes and says she's just confused and she's not the only one. Sarah brings up Philip's face when Chloe walked in so she thinks he still has feelings for her. Sarah thinks before Philip thinks about them, he should make sure it's what he really wants. Philip then goes and pulls Chloe aside. Philip recites a poem that he wrote for her in high school. Chloe recalls that as one of the sweetest Christmas presents she ever got. Philip says they were really happy back then and that what they had was special. Chloe says she thought so too. Justin shows Bonnie the ornaments on the Christmas tree that his sons made. Bonnie talks about missing her daughter Mimi and granddaughter Emily. Bonnie tells Justin that it warms her heart to be here with him so she's grateful that he invited her. Justin is grateful that she accepted because Adrienne always said Christmas is about the joy of being with the people you care about.
Kristen tells Brady that Marlena has been wonderful about everything and she wanted to get her something special. Brady confirms that he got her a picture frame with a picture of Marlena and Rachel. Kristen wants Marlena to know how much she appreciates everything she has done. Kristen thinks it's important to remember everyone who has enriched their lives. Kristen continues her imagination of Christmas. Brady tells her that even though they won't be together tomorrow, she will be in their hearts every day.
Chloe goes to her room at the Salem Inn and talks to her son Parker on the phone. Chloe says she misses him, loves him, and will see him soon. Parker puts Chloe's mom on the phone. Chloe says she wishes she was there too. Chloe's mom then convinces Chloe to sing "Silent Night" over the phone as a Christmas tradition.
Philip goes downstairs and picks up a Santa hat.
Sarah goes to her room, shocked to find Xander inside. She questions what he was thinking and what he's doing here. Xander tells her that it's Christmas Eve and he then kisses her.
Kristen thanks Brady for suggesting she imagine their perfect Christmas as it has given her hope that someday they will be together as a family again. Brady assures that they will as he hugs her.
Maggie tells Victor that it wasn't exactly the Christmas Eve that she imagined but under the circumstances, it was delightful. Maggie tells Victor that he can take the Santa hat off now but Victor says he's getting kind of used to it. Maggie tells him that she loves him as they hug. Victor says he loves her too. Maggie adds that she's proud of what he did for Justin and all of them. Victor tells Maggie that like Justin, she inspires him to be a better man. Maggie wishes him a Merry Christmas and they kiss.
Justin and Bonnie walk through the town square together. Bonnie says she never would have imagined spending Christmas Eve with his family. Justin calls it a Christmas miracle and then kisses Bonnie.
