Days of Our Lives Update Wednesday 12/9/20

Gwen angrily gathers up the kids toys from the park and complains about Jack forgiving Abigail. Gwen declares that Abigail might get her father back but it won't work when she takes Chad from her. Gwen screams that she will destroy her life if it's the last bloody thing she does as Jennifer then approaches and questions what Gwen is doing.

Abigail goes home and asks Chad if he wants to help Jack and Thomas with the puzzle. She notes he's distracted and asks if something's wrong. Chad then questions Abigail if she's having an affair with Jake. Abigail asks where the hell that comes from.

Rafe goes to see Allie, who is thrilled that he's back in town.

Nicole walks through the town square with Henry in his stroller then she comes across Tripp.

Kayla goes home and tells Steve that surgery took all night but it went well and she can't wait to go take a hot shower. Steve stops her and says there is something he needs to tell her. Kayla asks if it's about Tripp and if he told him to move out. Steve says he didn't get the chance because something has happened. Ava then comes out from the back and comments that Kayla looks like hell.

Gwen questions what Jennifer is doing here. Jennifer responds that she came to see the kids. Gwen tells her that she's sorry but Abigail took them home. Jennifer says it was good that they weren't there to witness whatever Gwen was doing. Gwen claims she was just blowing off steam but didn't mean what she said. Jennifer informs her that she didn't hear what she said but what she saw was enough. Jennifer questions what Gwen is so mad about.

Abigail asks Chad again where the hell that comes from. Chad explains that he was just with Jake and he asked him why he and Gabi weren't together and he didn't have an answer. Abigail questions there being no other logical explanation. Chad brings up finding Abigail passed out in his lap. Abigail argues that she was asleep. Chad brings up Jake spending every night in the garage where he found her scarf and then she invited him to Thanksgiving. Abigail mocks the idea. Chad then points out that she hasn't denied it.

Gwen tells Jennifer that she doesn't want to talk about it. Jennifer says that's too bad as she needs to make sure her grandchildren are in good hands and asks what if they had seen that. Gwen says she just had two minutes to herself and has never lost control in front of the children. Jennifer asks if they are working her too hard. Gwen tells her no and that it's her job to take care of children and help Abigail. Jennifer insists on asking what is bothering her. Gwen then tells her it's about Abigail.

Abigail tells Chad that she didn't deny it because she took it as a joke. Chad remarks that it wouldn't be the first or the second time that she slept with one of his brothers. Chad then apologizes saying he didn't mean that but Abigail cries that he meant it so much that he couldn't help but say it. Abigail tells Chad that she hasn't forgotten that he has been through hell because of her illness and she would never intentionally hurt him or risk their marriage and family for a cheap fling. Abigail says Chad might not understand what it feels like to be accused of something like that so Abigail then asks if Chad is sleeping with Gwen. Chad calls that ridiculous. Abigail brings up how she came home from Florida and they were in each others' arms. Chad says he explained that. Abigail points out that she believed him but when she explained, he threw EJ and Stefan in her face. Jack then comes into the room and questions what the hell is going on.

Allie tells Rafe that she's excited to see him and mentions it's been a rough couple of weeks. Rafe says he knows since he talked to Abe, who told him what Tripp did to her. Rafe tells Allie that he's sorry and wishes he had been here. Allie tells him it helps just to see him and talk to him. Rafe asks how Sami is doing. Allie tells him it's a long story but she's okay for now. Rafe asks how Allie is. Allie admits she's not great. Allie says it was so hard coming forward about Tripp but now that he might get away with it, she doesn't know if she can go on.

Tripp tries to walk away but Nicole calls it unbelievable that Tripp doesn't even care that his son is here. Tripp argues that it's not his son. Nicole brings up the DNA test and wishes he was in prison to pay for what he's done. Tripp questions it being perfectly okay for Allie to pull a gun on him.

Ava remarks that Kayla looks like she's seen a ghost. Steve tells Kayla that he tried to call her last night but she was already in surgery. Kayla questions how Ava is alive. Steve tells her it was Dr. Rolf. Kayla asks how long she's been here. Steve informs her that she showed up last night. Ava says that her son needed her. Kayla realizes this means Joey didn't kill Ava. Kayla argues that her son has been in prison for four years and Ava did nothing. Ava remarks that there was extensive rehab because coming back to life is hard and it's not like a soap opera.

Jennifer questions if Gwen is mad at Abigail. Gwen says of course not but that Jack was there and he and Abigail have patched things up. Jennifer says that's good since she told Jack that he had no right to be mad at Abigail. Jennifer questions why that makes Gwen mad. Gwen says what Jack did to Jennifer is what Jake did to her and these men create so much pain and humiliation then just get to go on with their lives. Jennifer says not necessarily. Gwen says that something about Abigail forgiving Jack made her feel all the feelings from when Jake did that to her and everyone came boiling up. Gwen agrees that Jack shouldn't be angry at Abigail but says that Abigail should be angry at him for what he did to Jennifer.

Jack says he heard them from halfway upstairs and came down because the kids were ready. Jack asks if they need to talk but Abigail says they've said everything they need to say for today and walks out of the room. Jack then asks Chad what happened. Chad admits that he accused her of having an affair with Jake. Chad says things kept piling up and then he heard himself accusing her and he doesn't know what he was thinking.

Allie informs Rafe that the London police don't think there's enough evidence to press charges. Rafe says that seems unfair but it doesn't give her the right to take the law in to her own hands. Allie realizes Abe told him about that too and explains that she thought she could get Tripp to admit what he did to her but he still refused. Rafe is sorry but glad she wasn't hurt. Allie brings up Rafe being back on the police force and asks if he's here to arrest her.

Nicole questions Tripp being morally outraged at Allie for snapping. Tripp argues that he didn't do anything to Allie but she was crazy last night. Nicole brings up Ava showing up and remarks that mothers really are a boy's best friend.

Kayla tries to attack Ava but Steve holds her back while Kayla complains that she wants to kill her. Kayla questions Steve not calling the police. Steve explains that he didn't want to let her out of his sight until he had a chance to talk to Kayla. Kayla wants Ava thrown in jail. Steve says it's not that simple as there are things she needs to know and they need to talk. Kayla wants Ava turned over to the police so they can go get Joey. Steve tells her that they can't do that and she has to listen to him for Joey's sake. Ava points out that the fact that she's back doesn't change that Joey tried to kill her so she has the legal right to press new charges for attempted murder and whether she does or not is entirely up to them.

Jack tells Chad that this is all his fault since he cheated on Jennifer so he's sure it's been on Chad's mind since the party and maybe he thinks cheating is a family trait. Chad assures that he doesn't and that Abigail is upset about how she handled the party and is worried about them. Chad says he's an ass and he doesn't know what came over him. Jack says from one ass to another, he knows they can work this out because Abigail loves him and he knows she would never hurt Chad, the way that he hurt Jennifer.

Jennifer encourages Gwen about getting over Jake and talks about still having to get over Jack lying to her. Gwen suggests Jennifer try letting her anger out the same way. Gwen finds it very interesting that Jennifer said she was so angry when she found out that Jack lied to her but not that he slept with Kate. Gwen says it was like Jack was trying to get away with it. Jennifer brings up living in the same house with Kate and that Jack could have told her to move out but he didn't say anything. Jennifer wonders if they were laughing at her. Gwen questions Kate holding on to the letter. Jennifer questions why Jack didn't just kick Kate out. Gwen encourages Jennifer, asking why Kate wanted to stay. Gwen offers Jennifer the toy bat and urges her to pretend the bushes is Kate so Jennifer takes it and starts beating the bushes.

Rafe tells Allie that he's not going to arrest her yet as he needs to talk to Tripp and assess the situation. Allie asks if he thinks Tripp will press charges. Rafe thinks he can persuade him not to and tells Allie to stay away from Tripp in the meantime. Allie complains that she was just angry and had this idea in her head of Sami doing the same thing. Rafe questions handling the situation like Sami would. Allie admits that's a bad idea but she understands how Sami felt. Rafe instructs her to keep that in check for her sake and her son's. Rafe then questions where Allie got the gun. Allie admits she took it from Kate's room but Kate doesn't know she took it. Rafe asks if she still has it. Allie informs him that Ava took it. Rafe wants her to tell him everything she knows about Ava.

Tripp realizes Allie told Nicole about Ava which Nicole confirms. Nicole says she realized Ava was probably in the DiMera warehouse in Nashville at the same time she was. Tripp knows what Nicole thinks of her but he's glad Dr. Rolf saved her. Nicole informs him that at one time, they were friends as they had a lot of awful things in common. Nicole states that she's done some terrible things but what Ava did to Steve and Kayla is why Joey wanted to kill her. Nicole says that Ava wanted to destroy a family. Tripp guesses she hates Ava like everyone else does. Nicole clarifies that she hates what Ava has done but even so, she feels like she understands her.

Kayla guesses Ava is looking for a deal. Ava acknowledges that she's still wanted for kidnapping Kayla which is why she had to stay away all these years but then her son needed her. Kayla asks if Tripp knows she's back. Ava confirms that she held her son for the first time since he was born. Kayla calls Tripp a rapist. Ava remarks that Tripp's never smothered anyone. Steve encourages Kayla not to let Ava get to her. Ava explains that she can't bear to give Tripp up now so she will need Kayla to get the kidnapping charges to go away and then she won't press new charges against Joey. Kayla argues that Ava's not dead so Joey didn't kill anybody. Ava says it's up to the district attorney and the judge but it's a very complicated legal process that she can slow down by fighting it every step of the way. Ava points out that Joey will remain behind bars, wondering why Kayla didn't do anything to help him get out. Ava decides she's going to shower, joking that Steve doesn't want her out of his sight. Ava tells Kayla to think about it as she heads to the shower. Kayla questions how this is happening.

Allie explains to Rafe that Ava wrestled the gun away from her and she thought Ava might shoot her. Allie talks about Ava screaming about how she accused her son of rape. Allie calls it weird how Tripp talked her down. Rafe shows Ava's picture for Allie to confirm that it was her. Rafe says he has to go but tells Allie to call if she needs anything. Rafe encourages Allie and hugs her.

Tripp acknowledges that Nicole hates him which she confirms. Tripp adds that Nicole may be the only person to say anything positive about his mother. Nicole points out that Ava did cause deep pain to people. Nicole brings up how she did horrible things so she has no place to judge Ava. Tripp points out that she judges him. Nicole argues that Tripp won't own up to what he did and he's torturing Allie. Tripp argues that he didn't do it but realizes there's no point. Nicole tells Tripp that he can tell Ava to call her if she wants to see her grandson.

Kayla complains about Ava being in their house and she can't believe Steve let her stay. Steve says he explained that and he knows this is horrible for her but he hasn't forgotten the things Ava has done which is why she's here so he can watch her and contain her. Steve knows it's hard for Kayla but he decided to do this for Kayla and their family.

Jennifer tells Gwen that she does feel better. Gwen says she deserves to feel better. Gwen asks if she's going to take Jack back. Jennifer responds that she doesn't know. Gwen guesses she still loves Jake and part of her wants him back but it just keeps hitting her over and over that she cannot trust him so she would spend the rest of her life worrying about him and she doesn't want to live like that. Gwen asks if Jennifer wants to live like that.

Abigail returns to the living room and tells Chad that she was waiting for Jack to leave. Chad apologizes and admits he was wrong and so out of line. Chad brings up Jake looking like Stefan and bringing back bad deja vu so he thinks the worst of him. Chad asks Abigail to forgive him. Abigail tells him that she will forgive him eventually. She understands in her head but she's going to be hurt for awhile and a little angry. Chad tells her she has every right to be angry. Chad repeats that he's sorry. Chad asks if she wants space which she thinks is a good idea so Chad then exits. Abigail looks over at a photo of her and Chad as Gwen enters the room and asks what just happened. Abigail informs Gwen that Chad just accused her of having an affair with Jake.

Jennifer goes to Julie's Place and works on her laptop. Jack enters and jokingly asks if she's hoping to pick up some more young men. Jennifer says no. Jack tells her that Bonnie told him what happened but he guesses he doesn't get to make jokes yet. Jack says he's just trying to get through to her but if she keeps shutting him out, he won't have a way to make things better.

As he leves the apartment, Rafe runs in to Nicole as she is coming home, who is surprised that he's back. Rafe tells her that he got everything taken care of. Nicole then introduces him to Allie's son, Henry. Nicole guesses Rafe saw Allie which he confirms. Nicole says that's great because Allie needs all the support she can get. Rafe adds that it was partly business since he's back on the police force and Abe told him everything that happened between Allie and Tripp. Nicole argues that Rafe can't arrest Allie. Rafe assures that he's not at the moment but he has to go take care of something important.

Kayla complains that her father is dead because of Ava and her son is in prison. Kayla says it's not right that she has the upper hand. Tripp comes home with coffee but is surprised to see Kayla, who goes off about Ava being back from the dead. Ava argues that she's only doing what's best for her son just like Kayla is. Tripp apologizes to Kayla for not telling her even though Ava says he doesn't have to. Tripp asks if Steve called the cops. Ava says not yet as they decides Kayla should make that decision.

Jennifer tells Jack that she can't talk because she has to finish a story. Jack agrees to leave her alone then but says he's not giving up ever as he then exits.

Gwen tells Abigail that she doesn't understand and questions how Chad could ever say she would sleep with Jake. Gwen says Abigail is so devoted to Chad and says he has a lot of nerve. Abigail says everybody in her family has been pushed hard but she really didn't need this. Gwen tells Abigail that she's so sorry and hugs her. Gwen asks how Chad expects her to get over it.

Tripp asks Kayla but Rafe shows up at the door. Steve answers the door, surprised to see Rafe is back. Rafe greets Steve and Kayla then informs Ava that he's arresting her for the kidnapping of Kayla. Rafe reads Ava her rights and handcuffs her. Ava asks if Kayla has something to say. Kayla responds that there is.
