Kayla has Lani at the hospital for a check up. Kayla mentions it being so close to her due date. Lani jokes that they will be seeing a lot of each other then. Lani adds that she's ready to have the babies. Eli then enters the room. Lani questions what he's doing here. Eli responds that he's here for the appointment. Lani asks why since it's her appointment. Eli reminds her that those are his kids.

Nicole is at home finishing a call when Brady shows up at her door. Nicole says she hasn't seen him in forever. Brady knows their hands have been full but he hoped to catch her alone. Nicole tells him that Holly is in school while Henry is with Lucas.

Lucas walks through the town square with Henry in his stroller and runs in to Steve. Lucas calls him their grandson. Steve says he's a beautiful baby but he's not his grandson. Lucas guesses Steve must be relieved that Tripp got away with what he did to Allie. Steve questions what he's talking about. Lucas informs Steve that the London authorities decided not to press charges against Steve's rapist son.

Ava tells Kristen that there's not much to explain but Philip ran up some big gambling debts with her family's organization and he agreed to pay them back by laundering money through Titan. Kristen is surprised that he's willing to dirty his father's name. Ava says no one will ever know what they are doing. Kristen brings up Xander. Ava notes that Philip did say that Xander is desperate for Victor's approval and he'll try to get anything on Philip that he can. Kristen points out that Ava doesn't seem too worried about it. Ava responds that she's not because she told Philip to deal with Xander and if he doesn't, she will. Kristen tells Ava that she hoped to get out early for being good so she needs to stop hearing whatever is on Ava's mind. Ava says she will try to find out who leaked her information to Xander from the guard's desk. Ava tells Kristen to take care of herself and goes to leave but stops when she sees the nearby computer screen open on an article from the Spectator about Tripp titled "Rapist Walks". Ava tells Kristen that it's her son. Ava is shocked that her son is being accused of rape.

Tripp sits at home until Allie shows up at the door. Tripp asks what she's doing there. Allie says she thought he'd want to hear the news. Allie guesses the London police told him they decided not to charge him because that's what they told her. Tripp asks if she's kidding and if it's over. Allie says not exactly and then pulls a gun on Tripp. Tripp questions what she's doing. Allie responds that the cops may have let him get away with what he did to her but she sure as hell won't.

Steve tells Lucas that he's glad this is finally over. Lucas says maybe for him but not for Allie since she was devastated. Steve says he's sorry but Lucas argues that Steve only cares about Tripp and keeping him out of jail, not Allie, her pain, and her fear. Lucas complains that Allie came forward only to get dismissed. Steve calls it a claim while Lucas argues that the baby is proof of what happened. Steve insists that the baby is not proof that Tripp hurt Allie. Lucas shouts that Steve's son raped his daughter and now she has to raise the child all on her own while Tripp gets to walk around like nothing happened. Lucas declares that Tripp belongs behind bars.

Ava tells Kristen to read the article to her and find out what happened and when. Kristen says the article is short on details. Ava decides she has to get to her son. Kristen questions if she really wants to do that when she's wanted by the police and will face kidnapping charges if anyone knows she's alive so she could go to prison. Ava responds that she doesn't care what happens to her as she needs to put her son first.

Tripp questions if Allie has a real gun. Allie confirms the bullets are real too and it's fully loaded. Tripp asks where the hell she got a gun. Allie reveals it was in a lockbox of Kate's and she knew the combination. Tripp guesses she came here to scare him. Allie responds that she came to bring him justice since no one else will. Tripp says there is a reason they decided not to press charges against him. Allie yells at him to shut up and says she's done listening to him and everyone who wants to let him off the hook. Allie tells Tripp that he's going to own up to what he did and he's going to start by telling the truth about that night.

Nicole tells Brady that she talked to Eric earlier and he wanted to know the latest on John. Brady reveals that he just came from the courthouse and John is better as he is out on bail so Marlena took him home. Nicole says that's a relief but guesses Brady didn't come over to tell her that. Brady admits he wanted to talk to her about something pretty important concerning him and her.

Lani tells Eli that he doesn't need to be here but Eli says he wants to be. Lani wants Eli to leave. Kayla offers to step out to let them settle this but Eli argues that there's nothing to settle as he's been at all of Lani's other appointments so he wants to be at this one. Lani argues that he doesn't get to decide that. Eli responds that he has a right to know how his babies are doing. Lani gives in to let Eli stay so that Kayla doesn't have to wait around while they argue. Lani warns Eli not to get too comfortable.

Ava argues that her son needs her but Kristen tells her that she can't just race out while she's upset as she could get careless and make a mistake. Ava feels she can't sit around and do nothing. Kristen urges her to calm down and thinks this through so she can come up with the best way to approach Tripp. Kristen suggests a disguise but Ava says she has no time for that while her son is being prosecuted for rape. Kristen points out that she read in the article that the district attorney is not pressing charges so Ava questions who is saying these terrible things about her son.

Tripp insists to Allie that he didn't do anything. Allie questions how she got pregnant then and why her son has his DNA. Tripp says he has no idea how to explain that. Allie accuses him of assaulting her and says she then gave birth to his son. Tripp says he can't talk to her while she's holding a loaded gun. Allie threatens to shoot him right now if he doesn't talk and asks what it's going to be.

Brady tells Nicole that it's something he's been thinking about for awhile. Brady explains that when he came back to Salem because John was in the hospital, it was only going to be temporary so he could get back to Kristen and Rachel as soon as possible but then things changed in a way he never imagined. Brady adds that Kristen is behind bars and is going to be for a couple years so that means he needs to be close by and to figure out his life here. Brady knows that means he will be a single parent to Rachel and he's also going to want to work. Nicole says that makes sense and asks if he has any idea what he wants to do. Brady responds that he would like to come back to Basic Black as Nicole's partner but Nicole says she doesn't think so.

Lani asks Kayla if there's anything she needs to know about her next appointment. Kayla informs her that she enrolled her in the next Lamaze class. Eli says that he will be her coach but Lani says like hell he is.

Steve tells Lucas that Tripp isn't behind bars because he's innocent but Lucas disagrees. Steve says there's no proof. Lucas brings up the DNA test which Steve calls a mistake. Lucas argues that Kayla ran the test four times. Steve says he can't explain that but he knows his son and he could never do anything like Allie says he did. Lucas questions if he's saying Allie is a liar too. Lucas tells Steve to go enjoy his victory. Steve tells him not to make a scene and adds there are no winners here because everyone is upset. Steve insists that what happened is terrible but it doesn't prove Tripp did it. Lucas remarks that he knows it's hard for Steve to believe but points out that Tripp is not just Steve's son, he's Ava Vitali's son too so he's capable of anything.

Kristen tells Ava that it doesn't say who the woman is and guesses they are protecting her identity. Ava argues that the woman isn't a victim but an accuser. Ava guesses this is why Tripp looked so dejected the other day when she saw him in the park. Ava declares that now that she knows what Tripp is facing, she has to go comfort him. Kristen understands the instinct but reminds her that Tripp is not being charged so he's not going to prison. Ava feels it doesn't matter since the damage is already done as his picture is all over with the word "rapist" on it so this is going to completely ruin his life.

Tripp tells Allie that he will talk so she tells him to go ahead. Allie orders Tripp to say what he did to her and to stop stalling. Tripp wishes he could give her an explanation but he can't. Tripp says he's incredibly sorry for what happened to her. Allie insists that there is proof so Tripp questions why they didn't prosecute him then. Allie blames it on being in another jurisdiction. Tripp points out that London isn't pursuing it either. Allie argues that Kayla ran the DNA test four times. Tripp wants her to put the gun down but Allie says not until he admits to being Henry's father. Tripp says he has already told her. Allie demands the truth so Tripp then claims to her that the truth is they had sex that night.

Brady doesn't understand and asks Nicole if there's a problem. Nicole says yes because he left her high and dry at Basic Black before so he could take over Titan without notice. Brady apologizes for that and says he was just trying to get revenge on Victor for letting him believe his daughter was dead for a year. Nicole blames him for not considering how his big move would affect her. Brady admits that she's right. Nicole says she was upset and angry too because he left her alone because he had a personal score to settle. Nicole questions why she should believe she could count on him now when she couldn't then.

Steve tells Lucas that he's well aware that Tripp is Ava's son but says Lucas should know as well as anyone that a son does not necessarily turn out like his mother. Lucas tells him not to turn it around on him. Steve admits Tripp has made bad choices but he's gotten past it and is a good person with a bright future. Lucas remarks that good people do bad things all the time, it happens. Steve says not this time. Lucas accuses Steve of being in denial since Tripp's DNA matches with the baby. Lucas shouts that Steve is the only one who believes Tripp. Lucas asks how Kayla feels about Steve's denial. Steve responds that he's not in denial but this whole situation is tearing his family apart. Lucas advises Steve that if he's the only one that believes Tripp is innocent, then he's the one tearing his family apart. Steve then walks away.

Eli states that he's going to be Lani's Lamaze coach but Lani says no because she decides who her coach is going to be. Kayla decides to let them sort it out and tells Lani that she will see her next week as she leaves the room. Lani tells Eli that he can leave now. Eli says not until they settle this but Lani says there is nothing else to settle as he's not going to be her coach. Eli asks who is then. Lani says she will find someone. Eli questions who she will find on such short notice. Lani says she doesn't know since she can't ask her father since he's on Eli's side and she can't ask her best friend because she's in prison because of Eli. Eli shouts that he's sick and tired of Lani throwing that in his face.

Kristen tells Ava that for a long time, she thought what people thought of her was etched in stone and she couldn't change anyone's mind but it is possible. Ava says not for Tripp after people see these headlines as this will follow him where ever he goes forever. Kristen doesn't think so and says when it dies down, people will remember that Tripp wasn't charged because he didn't do it. Kristen encourages Ava to give it time but Ava says she can't while knowing that Tripp is suffering. Ava feels he needs his mother. Kristen reminds Ava that Tripp doesn't know her or that she's alive so she better think about what if Tripp turns her in.

Allie asks if Tripp admits it then. Tripp says she's not giving him much choice. Allie tells him to keep talking as she wants to hear the rest. Allie argues that they didn't have sex, he raped her. Tripp says he's trying to explain the DNA results. Allie tells him to tell his version of what happened that night as she wants details to the whole story. Tripp goes over how they met at a club in London and she was wasted so he brought her home in a cab. Tripp says she kissed him then claims one thing led to another, they had sex in her bed and then he left. Allie asks about the note that he said he left. Tripp says she never found it so that means he must not have written it. Tripp asks if they are done and if she's satisfied now. Allie says not even close. Tripp asks why since he just admitted everything. Allie says the problem is that he's lying.

Nicole accuses Brady of abandoning her, their company, employees, and clients. Brady admits he wasn't thinking straight as he was mad at Victor and blinded with rage but that doesn't matter because it's no excuse for letting her down. Brady wants to do everything he can to make it up to her. Brady says when they were partners, it was a massive success and they were an excellent team. Nicole says then when he ditched her, she was scrambling for weeks but she managed to right the ship and now everything is smooth sailing. Brady says he knows how hard the job is and she used to have a partner to handle half of it but now she's by herself. Nicole claims she's fine. Brady thinks the pressure and stress could be overwhelming. Brady brings up Eric being a world away and Nicole raising Holly by herself while having Allie and Henry living there as well. Brady thinks they can help each other a lot and suggests they team up again to take Basic Black right to the top. Nicole calls it a huge request. Brady says if he doesn't meet her expectations, he will let her kick him out the door, no questions asked. Brady then asks what she says.

Lani questions Eli yelling at her when she's 8 months pregnant. Eli points out that Kayla just said she's doing fine. Eli complains that he's been holding his tongue as there's only so long she can lay in to him about Kristen before he loses his mind. Eli tells Lani that he did what he did to keep her out of prison so she didn't give birth behind bars. Lani asks if Kristen just doesn't matter. Eli asks her to stop about Kristen since she plunged a knife in a man's chest so she should pay for that, not Lani. Lani argues that Kristen is paying for it since Eli ripped her family apart. Eli says she can guilt trip him for that until the end of time but he's not apologizing because he was not going to let Melinda lock her up. Lani reminds him that she was talking to Melinda and she was about to drop the charges. Eli shouts that he didn't know that at the time because he was busy trying to protect his wife. Eli says if he could go back and do it all over again, he would do the exact same thing. Lani calls him unbelievable. Eli says if she's looking for another apology, she can forget it because he has had it with apologizing for something that any man would do for the woman he loves. Eli declares that he wasn't wrong then and he's not wrong now, she is.

Tripp asks Allie if no matter what he says, it's wrong. Allie argues that she asked for details and he told her nothing but lies. Allie says one detail he left out was that she said no and that he pinned her to the bed against her will while he made it sound consensual. Allie argues that he did not have the right to force himself on her and tells him to admit it. Tripp calls this ridiculous and admits he made up the story about them having sex because it didn't happen and he was just telling her what she wanted to hear so she wouldn't shoot him. Allie argues that he left out the most important part of pinning her down and raping her. Tripp calls that not true. Tripp says he's willing to go far to save his own life but he won't say that he raped her when he didn't. Allie warns that this is his last chance to tell the truth. Tripp repeats that he did not rape her, they didn't have sex, and he did write that note but she clearly never found it. Allie argues that Tripp is not going to cooperate since he's still lying and calls him a sick rapist. Allie declares that she won't let Tripp do that to anyone ever again while holding the gun on him. Tripp asks if she's really going to kill him. Allie responds that she never said she was going to kill him.

Steve goes to the hospital and greets Kayla. She asks what he's doing here. Steve informs her that he has news about Tripp and wanted to tell her in person. Steve reveals that the authorities in London are not going to pursue a case against him. Steve feels Kayla is disappointed. Steve asks if they can go to her office to talk. Kayla would rather not talk about it. Steve says they have to talk about it. Steve adds that every time they see each other, there is tension and anger under the surface. Steve mentions their argument the other day. Kayla says she has nothing to hide from Tripp as he knows what she thinks. Steve tells Kayla that it's over since they are not pressing charges in London so that's the end of it. Kayla says as far as the law goes, it is. Steve asks about as far as they are concerned, insisting that it's over and they can't change the outcome so they have to learn to live with it together. Steve questions how they can let this tear them apart, urging that they have to get past it.

Ava argues that Tripp won't turn her in since he is her son. Kristen points out that she doesn't know that and they don't even know each other which Ava admits. Kristen reminds Ava of when they were Italy and the story Ava told her about her father making her give Tripp up. Kristen notes that she never finished that story and she'd like to hear it. Ava says she doesn't have time for that since her son is in trouble and needs her. Kristen warns her to think about if she's really willing to risk her freedom.

Tripp asks Allie what she's going to do if not kill him. Allie responds that it's what her mom did. Allie says it's funny as she spent her life hating her mom and how she was always trying to control everything but after learning about what happened to her, she finally understands what that's all about. Allie realizes she needs to be more like Sami. Tripp asks what she found out about her. Allie reveals that Lucas told her that Sami was raped when she was younger than she is now, she reported it, pressed charges, and went to court but the rapist won. Allie remarks that they let him off, just like Tripp, so her mom took the law in to her own hands and got her own justice by making sure that guy could never rape anyone else again. Tripp asks how she did that. Allie reveals that she shot him in the groin, which is exactly what she's going to do to him.

Lani questions Eli's attitude. Eli says he doesn't expect anything from her but criticism as every time they see each other, it just gets worse and that's not good for her or the babies. Eli then agrees that he should not be involved. Lani questions what exactly that means. Eli tells her to find another coach but he will be there when she delivers. Lani acknowledges that she can't ban him from the hospital. Eli adds that she can't ban him from seeing his babies either because no matter how hard it gets, even if she doesn't want to be married to him anymore, those will always be his children. Eli then exits the room.

Kayla tells Steve that she would like nothing better than to get past it as she doesn't want to fight with him. Steve says he doesn't either as he loves her. Kayla is sure they can move on but she doesn't know how under these circumstances of the three of them living under the same roof. Steve questions what she's saying. Kayla thinks it's time for Tripp to move out.

Tripp argues that Allie can't be serious but she says she is. Allie says this is her only way to get justice. Allie complains about how unfair it is that he got off. Tripp argues that she would go to prison for years. Allie says it would be worth it since he wouldn't get away with what he did and won't rape anyone again. Tripp pleads with Allie until Ava suddenly bursts in and grabs the gun from Allie. Ava warns Allie to get the hell away from her son, leaving Tripp shocked in disbelief to see his mom.

Nicole gives in to Brady and admits that she misses him as her partner and friend. Nicole agrees that they can help each other and she trusts that he will do the job right. Brady promises not to let her down. Nicole asks when he can start. Brady decides on tomorrow and says he has tons of ideas to share with her so he will go send them to her. Nicole stops him and informs him that she did hire someone else, not as a partner but in a pretty big role, and it is someone he knows. Brady asks who it is. Nicole then answers the door to reveal that it is Chloe making her return to Salem.
