Days of Our Lives Update Wednesday 12/2/20

Sarah informs Xander that Philip suggested they work on a charity event together for Titan. Xander calls him a weasel who is trying to get close to her to get him off his game. Sarah explains that Philip doesn't realize that she will be getting closer to find out what he's up to. Sarah calls it her opportunity to get Philip to open up to her a bit but she has to get him to trust her first. Xander wonders if that's even possible. Sarah reveals that she has an idea but Xander won't like it...

Charlie searches Philip's computer until Philip comes back and says the coffee shop is closed for remodeling. Philip then sees Charlie at his desk and questions what the hell he is doing..

Allie goes to the DiMera Mansion with Henry where Lucas greets them in the living room. Lucas mentions that he can't believe Tripp got away with what he did to her. Allie responds that he might not because Melinda said she could forward everything to the police in London if she wants. Allie then informs Lucas that she told Melinda to go ahead with it.

Steve tells Tripp at home that he finished putting up the Christmas lights outside. Tripp informs him that he just got grilled by a detective from London so he's not in the Christmas mood.

Claire walks through the town square and sits down on a bench, holding the necklace she got of Ciara's. Kayla walks by and asks how she's doing. Claire says she's okay and tells Kayla that she just came from helping Ben pack up Ciara's stuff. Claire shows Kayla the locket on the necklace with a picture of her and Ciara inside. Kayla encourages that nobody can break their connection.

Philip questions what Charlie is doing on his laptop. Charlie says he knows what it looks like but his laptop froze and he knew Philip would want the latest market quotes. Philip asks about his phone. Charlie claims he left his phone at home. Philip remarks that it's looking like he's having a bad day and warns that it will get a lot worse if he doesn't start telling the truth. Charlie thinks back to Xander instructing him to try to find dirt on Philip.

Xander asks why he wouldn't like Sarah's idea and says he would love if she got the goods on Philip. Sarah asks even it means they break up?

Kayla tells Claire that she heard what happened at her parents' wedding. Claire talks about not believing her parents about Jan and now Jan is in a coma while John is in jail. Kayla wanted to reach out to Marlena to see if there was anything she could do but she doesn't think Marlena wants to hear from her because of everything with Tripp and Allie. Claire states that everything is such a mess. Claire asks if Kayla believes Tripp since he's denied Allie's accusations. Kayla responds that she would like to believe him but he and the baby are a DNA match. Claire concludes that Tripp is a rapist and also a liar. Kayla notes that Steve doesn't believe it. Claire adds that she didn't want to believe it either but now she's wondering if everything she ever thought about Tripp was a lie.

Lucas encourages Allie that she's making the right decision and calls it the first step to putting that night behind her. Allie doesn't think she'll ever put that night behind her but knows he means to be comforting. Allie doesn't think getting justice will make her forget that night but thinks it will help her start figuring out what to do with her life and Henry's. Lucas points out that if the authorities in London press charges against Tripp, Allie will have to go there to testify. Lucas thinks it would be a good time to tell Sami what has happened to her but Allie doesn't think there will ever be a good time to do that. Allie talks about how Sami was when she found out she was pregnant and screwed everything up. Allie worries that if Sami found out that she was raped because she was too drunk then she'll just say it was all her fault. Lucas doesn't know about that and thinks she might be surprised to see how sympathetic Sami would be. Lucas hates to be the one to tell her this but reveals that the same thing happened to Sami when she was younger than Allie. Allie is shocked to learn that Sami was raped.

Ava visits Kristen at prison and asks what she wanted to tell her. Kristen informs Ava that Xander just paid her a visit.

Xander reacts negatively thinking Sarah wants to break up with him. Sarah explains that they aren't going to really break up but just make Philip think they did. Xander claims he was just pretending to go along with it. Xander agrees to listen to her plan. Sarah explains that if they can make Philip believe they have broken up then she will have more reason to spend time with him. Xander admits he hates that. Sarah says she'll make Philip trust her and then maybe he'll open up about what he's doing. Xander doesn't think it will work. Sarah suggests if they get closer, she can figure it out on her own. Sarah adds that they have to do a really good job convincing Philip that they are done because if he thinks they are working together, then she won't figure out anything. Sarah asks Xander if he's in.

Philip questions what Charlie has to say for himself. Charlie claims he told the truth about using his laptop just to get today's market quotes. Philip decides Charlie doesn't have to tell him anything because he's fired. Philip threatens to call security to escort him out of the building but Charlie tells him he doesn't need to do that. Charlie then admits he was using Philip's laptop to try to spy on him. Philip questions why. Charlie then reveals that Xander put him up to it.

Steve tells Tripp not to worry because he's going to talk to Justin about the best way to handle this. Steve assures that he has Tripp's back and he's there for him no matter what happens.

Kayla guesses finding out about Tripp must have been hard on Claire. Claire admits that she was in love with Tripp and that feels like another lifetime ago. Claire informs Kayla that she's dating someone really nice now. Kayla says that's great and she would love to meet him. Kayla hugs Claire and tells her to have a nice Christmas as she walks away.

Philip questions why Xander asked Charlie to spy on him. Charlie informs him that Xander thinks he's up to something. Philip questions Charlie just going along with what Xander wanted. Charlie points out that Xander is his boss too and it's not easy working for both of them. Charlie adds that Xander was there and Philip wasn't so he didn't feel like he had a choice. Philip is sorry he put him in that situation but orders Charlie to stop spying on him now. Philip tells Charlie not to tell Xander a thing and keep him thinking that he's going to get what he wants. Philip then instructs Charlie to keep him posted on everything Xander says and does. Charlie worries that Xander will get upset but Philip suggests he'll understand there is nothing to get on him. Philip states that Charlie is new and has no idea how a family empire works. Philip argues that Xander brought all his problems on himself because he's jealous of Philip's position and isn't working hard enough to prove himself. Philip states that getting Charlie to spy on him and getting him arrested never works out for Xander and he's on thin ice with Victor. Philip declares that Charlie was backing the wrong horse but now that he's with him, they will go all the way to the finish line together. Philip then exits the office, leaving Charlie feeling stuck in the middle as he breathes a sigh of relief.

Kayla goes home and tells Steve that he did a great job with the Christmas lights. Tripp mentions that he was busy and goes to his room. Kayla asks what that was about. Steve informs her that Tripp got a call from a detective in London since Allie turned the case over to them. Kayla notes that it was quick but says Allie has a right to do that. Steve feels like Kayla thinks it's a good thing.

Allie asks Lucas about Sami being raped. Lucas explains that it happened in high school by a guy named Alan Harris. Allie asks if Sami went to the police. Lucas confirms that she did and that Alan was arrested but the trial ended since there was no evidence. Allie questions Sami not getting any justice either and asks what happened, wanting Lucas to tell her all of it. Lucas responds that Sami got her own kind of justice.

Ava knows Kristen and Xander have a history. Kristen acknowledges that Xander worked for her for a while and then later did the worst thing anyone has ever done to her. Ava asks why he came to see her. Kristen informs her that Xander didn't come to see her but he wanted information about "Angela Vandercamp", which shocks Ava. Kristen explains that Xander knows she got a visit from "Angela" and he asked all about her involvement with Titan Industries.

Xander admits to Sarah that the idea of her cozying up to Philip makes him want to put his fist through the wall but he knows Philip would like nothing better. Sarah points out that Philip could tell her things that he normally wouldn't. Xander says he hates it but he'll do it as long as he knows they are the same. Sarah explains that they have to keep their distance so Philip really thinks they can't stand each other. Xander asks if she can do that. Sarah says she'll have to think back to when they first met and she did hate him. Xander asks if she's sure she can resist. Sarah says if it means getting rid of Philip then she'll have to manage. Xander points out this could be their last chance to be together then and goes to kiss her but Sarah senses Philip's arrival so she shoves Xander off and yells at him to get the hell off of her. Sarah and Xander then loudly argue as Philip walks in and questions what's going on. Sarah claims that after telling Xander about their charity event, he accused her of covering for an affair with Philip. Xander and Sarah continue to argue. Xander tells Sarah to tell Philip that he's on his own with the concert but Sarah instead asks Philip who he thinks should be the headliner.

Ava questions Kristen as to how Xander even knows "Angela Vandercamp" exists. Kristen says Xander wasn't sharing information but it was obvious that he doesn't know Ava and Angela are the same person, only that "Angela" is working with Philip. Ava says Philip wouldn't call her by her name or her alias and they point out the only time she used the alias is when she came to visit Kristen.

Charlie paces in the Titan office until Claire arrives. Charlie says he was just about to call her. Claire asks if everything is okay as he seems a little stressed. Charlie says it's just work stuff and dealing with his dueling bosses. Charlie asks what brought Claire by. Claire brought him a smoothie. Charlie acknowledges her necklace and asks if she just bought it. Claire informs him that Ben gave it to her, which seems to upset Charlie.

Kayla tells Steve that she's not happy that Tripp is facing criminal prosecution and she wishes none of this was happening. Kayla says that she loves Tripp but Allie is her niece and she loves her too. Kayla adds that Allie was a victim of a horrible crime and questions if Allie should just act like it didn't happen because Tripp said it didn't. Steve brings up how many times paternity tests have been messed with in this town. Kayla argues that she supervised the tests. Kayla wishes Tripp wasn't in this mess but he is and Steve is not helping by denying this. Kayla argues that if Steve loves Tripp then he will help him own up to what he did.

Allie questions Lucas saying that Sami got her own kind of justice. Lucas explains that Alan was walking around town bragging about getting away with it so Sami wanted to make sure he would never rape anybody else. Allie asks what she did. Lucas reveals that Sami got a gun and made sure that Alan would never rape anyone else again. Allie then gets a call from the London police. Allie asks if they are calling to tell her they will be arresting Tripp Dalton.

Kristen asks Ava if she knows any other way that Xander could have found out about her alias. Ava says maybe if he was having her followed, but as far as he knows, she's dead. Kristen says that Xander thinks there's a connection between "Angela Vandercamp" and Titan so she asks how he came up with that. Ava says she has no idea. Kristen wishes she has an answer but she stonewalled Xander. Ava thanks her for that. Kristen says now that she's proven herself, she thinks she deserves to know why Ava is involved with Philip Kiriakis. Kristen questions what's going on between them.

Xander and Sarah continue to argue in front of Philip. Sarah tells Xander they are over and calls him an insecure child. Xander mutters that she's laying it on a little thick. Philip comes over and questions what he just said. Sarah continues their argument and says she's over making excuses for Xander and if he can't handle her being friends with another man then this relationship is completely over.

Charlie questions Ben getting Claire a present. Claire clarifies that it was Ciara's and she found it while helping him pack her things so he gave it to her. Charlie asks how Ben is. Claire asks how he would be doing if the love of his life was murdered. Charlie says he would be terrible. Claire notes that she and Ben miss Ciara every minute of every day. Charlie asks if Claire and Ben are pretty close. Claire responds that they both love Ciara. Charlie questions if that's it. Claire asks why he keeps asking about Ben and if he thinks there is something going on between them.

Allie finishes her call with London police. Lucas asks what they said. Allie informs him that they interviewed Tripp and decided there's no case against him. Lucas complains about it. Allie talks about there being no evidence and questions how this could be happening. Allie argues that Tripp changed her life forever and he gets to go on to med school while she's the bimbo that got knocked up and it's just not right.

Kayla argues that she thinks Tripp needs to be held accountable for his actions while Steve obviously doesn't and accuses him of turning this into a revenge fantasy. Kayla questions Steve closing his mind to scientific evidence and logic. Kayla gets a text and says she needs to get to the hospital which is good because they both need to cool off. Steve agrees as Kayla then storms out of the house. Tripp comes back out. Steve guesses he heard all of that. Tripp worries that Steve and Kayla love each other and he's screwing it all up. Steve tells him not to worry about it as they've been together long enough to know their tempers and they will get through it. Tripp just wants it to be over. Steve says he's going to see Justin so that he's up to speed if it goes to trial. Steve repeats that no matter what happens, they will get through this. Steve then exits.

Lucas hugs Allie and tells her that he's so sorry that Tripp isn't going to pay for what he did to her. Allie doesn't know how to keep going since she kept telling herself that she'd be okay when Tripp got what was coming to him. Lucas says it doesn't look like that will happen for now so they should start thinking of other ways to get her the help she needs. Allie asks if he means a shrink. Lucas suggests Marlena. Lucas says he's sorry she didn't get what she wanted but therapy may be a good first step to healing. Allie agrees that she needs to find a way to heal. Allie asks if Lucas can watch Henry for awhile. Lucas agrees and says he'll take him on a walk. Lucas tells Allie to take all the time she needs to feel better.

Xander and Sarah continue to argue for Philip until Xander storms out. Philip tells Sarah that he's sorry as he didn't want her to break up with Xander on his account. Sarah claims she knew it wouldn't last so she's glad it happened and just angry she wasted so much time on him.

Ava tells Kristen that there's not much to explain but Philip ran up some big gambling debts with her family's organization and he agreed to pay them back by laundering money through Titan. Kristen is surprised that he's willing to dirty his father's name. Ava says no one will ever know what they are doing. Kristen brings up Xander. Ava notes that Philip did say that Xander is desperate for Victor's approval and he'll try to get anything on Philip that he can. Kristen points out that Ava doesn't seem too worried about it. Ava responds that she's not because she told Philip to deal with Xander and if he doesn't, she will.

Charlie tells Claire that the way she and Ben looked at each other, they seemed close. Claire questions that making him think they were a thing. Charlie remarks that it wouldn't be the craziest thing since it seems like every time he turns around, he trips over one of her ex-boyfriends. Claire assures that she'll never want to be in the same room as Tripp again while she and Ben will never be at thing. Claire adds that she and Ben didn't even like each other and they only have in common that they love Ciara but now she's gone. Claire swears to Charlie that she and Ben is not going to happen. Charlie says he believes her. Claire points out that both of his bosses are gone so she suggests they take his lunch break together. Charlie agrees and they exit together.

Philip thinks Sarah will see how much better off she is without Xander in her life. Sarah tells him that it just hurts so Philip hugs her while Xander peeks back into the room.

Lucas walks through the town square with Henry in his stroller and runs in to Steve. Lucas remarks to Steve that he was just babysitting their grandson so maybe he'd like to meet him.

Kristen tells Ava that she hoped to get out early for being good so she needs to stop hearing whatever is on Ava's mind. Ava says she will try to find out who leaked her information to Xander from the guard's desk. Ava tells Kristen to take care of herself and goes to leave but stops when she sees the nearby computer screen open on an article from the Spectator about Tripp titled "Rapist Walks". Ava tells Kristen that it's her son.

Tripp sits at home until Allie shows up at the door. Tripp asks what she's doing there. Allie says she thought he'd want to hear the news. Allie guesses the London police told him they decided not to charge him because that's what they told her. Tripp asks if she's kidding and if it's over. Allie says not exactly and then pulls a gun on Tripp.
