Philip goes to Ava's apartment and knocks on the door. Sarah hides behind the corner watching him. Philip knocks again on Ava's door. Ava answers and says it's about time. Philip says he came as quick as he could. Ava tells him to spare her the excuses and get in. Sarah remains hiding around the corner and she uses her phone to take a picture of Philip heading inside the apartment.

Xander tells Charlie that if he sees anything out of place, he wants to know about it. Claire arrives and tells Xander that she needs to speak to Charlie. Xander says not if she's going to jerk him around again which she questions. Xander goes over Charlie telling him that he took her on a very nice date last night and then tonight asked her out again but she blew him off. Claire tries to explain but Xander won't hear it. Charlie says he can handle this. Xander says he just wants to understand why Claire wouldn't want to go out with a great guy like him. Xander questions what's wrong with Claire and what's not to like about Charlie. Claire argues that she does like Charlie a lot so Xander asks why she turned him down for a date. Claire tells Charlie that she's sorry for the confusion and that he's upset but her parents are getting married today so she was hoping Charlie would be her date to the wedding. Charlie questions her wanting him to come to her parents' wedding. Claire tells him that they are getting married today in like an hour but she totally understands if he thinks it's weird after one date but she figured she would ask. Xander interjects and says that Charlie would love to go.

Marlena walks through the town square and runs in to Brady with Rachel. Marlena has flowers which Brady asks what the occasion is for. Marlena realizes he didn't get the message and informs him that Belle is remarrying Shawn today.

Shawn jokes with John about asking for permission to marry his daughter. John assures that he's always had his permission and says he couldn't ask for a better husband for Belle than him. Shawn assures that Belle and Claire mean the world to him and he will always do his best to protect them.

Jan shows up at Belle's room at the Salem Inn. Belle questions what she's doing there. Jan explains that Claire told her that Belle and Shawn were getting remarried today so she had to come congratulate her. Belle asks how she knew where she was. Jan tells her that Claire is so excited. Belle says she still has things to do. Jan knows how Belle feels about her but claims she's really happy for her and Shawn which Belle laughs at. Jan then reveals that she brought her a wedding gift.

Claire tells Xander that she wanted to hear from Charlie himself. Charlie agrees that he'd love to go as long as Xander will give him the rest of the day off. Xander agrees to do so and tells Claire to let Victor know that he made it happen. Claire tells Charlie that she has to go help her mom get ready so they can meet at her grandparents' place where the wedding is taking place. Claire tells Charlie that she will see him later and exits. Charlie sits down and questions Xander about meeting the family alone and worries about what he's gotten himself into.

Brady tells Marlena that he saw that Belle left him a voicemail but he hadn't listened yet. Brady didn't even know Shawn and Belle were thinking about getting married again. Marlena explains that it was completely spontaneous as Belle thought it would be fun to get remarried on their original wedding date so she proposed. Marlena knows Belle would love to have him there if he can make it. Brady assumes none of their other siblings will be there. Marlena confirms that with such late notice, they couldn't possibly make it. Marlena admits that she doesn't know if Sami was notified since Belle is still angry at Sami for unleashing Jan Spears on Salem.

Belle reminds Jan that her last gift was a cake with a bomb in it so she'll pass. Jan claims that this is the new her and promises there's no bomb. Belle asks why she would want a gift from her and tells her to go away. Jan argues that she's trying to make amends and she's been on her best behavior. Jan talks about only pressing charges against Philip because she was in fear for her life. Belle argues that she just wanted to make trouble and accuses her of harassing Claire. Jan insists that she and Claire are friends as they have a bond over doing terrible things they regret. Belle warns her not to compare herself to her daughter. Jan praises Claire and swears that she wants to make things right just like Claire does. Jan says everyone has given Claire a second chance so she questions why Belle can't give her one too. Belle then accepts Jan's gift and tells her she may leave now. Jan asks if she's not going to open it. Belle then opens the gift and it pops, scaring her which Jan laughs at. Belle calls her a sadistic bitch and says she scared her half to death. Jan responds that she doesn't like to do things halfway as she pulls a gun on Belle..

Xander tells Charlie to relax as Claire is obviously in to him if she wants him to meet his future in-laws already. Charlie worries about how much he sucked getting this far with Claire and now he has to talk to her parents and grandparents which could be a disaster. Charlie wonders if he should cancel but Xander encourages him to breathe. Charlie continues to worry while Xander encourages him. Xander tells him to man up if he wants to be in a relationship with Claire. Charlie decides he can do this and thanks Xander for giving him the day off. Xander responds that he can pay back the favor by keeping an eye on Philip. Charlie agrees to do so and then exits Julie's Place as Sarah arrives. Sarah joins Xander, who asks if she followed Philip to his big meeting. Sarah confirms that she did and she knows who he is working for.

Ava questions Philip's mood. Philip tells her about running into Shawn and Belle, who are getting remarried today. Ava asks if he's still carrying a torch for Belle. Philip admits he thought he was over her but he's not. Ava laughs at Philip thinking he had a chance when Shawn will always be the love of Belle's life. Philip admits deep down, a small part of him thought Belle would come back to him but he guesses it's time to put that dream to rest once and for all.

John tells Shawn that Marlena will be home soon to finish up any last minute details. John asks Shawn what he's thinking about. Shawn wishes more people were there since Chelsea is in London and Hope is out of town so it's like he has no one to represent his side of the family. John points out that he still has them and they are his family too. Shawn thanks him and says it means more than he knows.

Belle questions what Jan is doing and what happened to making amends or doing the right thing. Jan guesses she lied and blames Belle because she had the perfect plan and she ruined it. Jan explains that she only pressed charges against Philip because she knew Belle would take his case and be spending all that time with her former lover. Jan thought it would drive Shawn crazy and right in to her arms but Belle had to cut a deal for Philip and ruin it. Belle calls her insane because Shawn doesn't love her. Jan tells Belle to accept that what she and Shawn have is once in a lifetime and the summer they spent together proves it. Belle argues that Jan locked him in a cage, tied him to a bed, and held him against his will. Jan argues that Shawn would've come around eventually but Belle ruined it. Belle asks her to put the gun down and go get some help. Jan mocks her tone and says Belle has always been afraid that Shawn would dump her for her. Belle calls that ridiculous. Jan brings up seeing Belle propose and says Shawn only accepted because she put him on the spot. Belle thought Claire told her. Jan explains that she only pumped Claire for information on where to find her. Belle tells Jan not to do anything stupid if Claire means that much to her. Jan admits she doesn't like the thought of causing Claire any pain but says that Belle is the only thing standing in the way of her happily ever after so she has no choice but to stop Belle from marrying the man that she loves.

Xander asks Sarah who Philip's partner is. Sarah admits she doesn't know her name and she's never seen her before but she did manage to snap a photo so maybe Xander will recognize her. Xander looks at it and is surprised.

Ava asks if Philip is going to pout about not getting the girl or focus on what needs to be done. Philip calls her a cold-hearted woman. Ava relates to what he's going through as she wants to break something every time she thinks about Steve with Kayla. Ava mentions going to Steve's place yesterday. Philip thought she was staying away from him. Ava says that's what she told herself but it's love. Ava adds that she knocked on his door but in the end she couldn't do it. Philip says that's probably for the best since she's supposed to be dead and Steve's son is still doing time for killing her. Ava brings up that she saw her only son Tripp yesterday and she almost touched him but he walked away. Ava says there is so much she wants to tell him and so much she wants to know about Tripp and his life. Ava doesn't know how much longer she can stay in hiding. Philip reminds her that she's supposed to be dead and is still wanted for kidnapping Kayla so a big reveal won't have a happy ending. Philip repeats that it's better for everyone if she stays dead. Philip suggests she pack up and leave town. Ava responds that she would if she thought she could trust him to do what needs to be done here. Philip insists that she can but Ava says all he's done is let her down. Ava says unless Philip stops disappointing her soon, she might decide he's not worth keeping around...

Charlie goes to John and Marlena's. He introduces himself to Shawn and informs him that he took his daughter to dinner last night. Shawn brings up them being out past midnight. Charlie claims not to have realized and mentions working at Titan. Shawn questions if Charlie works for Philip. Charlie says he does and calls him a really great guy but Shawn says not in his book. Charlie adds that he also works for Xander and he's much closer to him. John points out that Xander shot Marlena. Charlie tries to back track and says Xander has just been giving him advice about Claire which John questions. Charlie swears that he really likes Claire. Shawn questions Charlie's intentions with his daughter.

Brady tells Marlena that he would love to celebrate Belle and Shawn's wedding so he will drop Rachel off at a play date and then swing by. Marlena says that's great and she is sure Belle will appreciate having at least one sibling there. Marlena wishes Belle and Sami could solve the rift between them. Brady says Sami always goes a step too far so he understands why Belle is upset with her. Brady guesses the good thing is that Jan Spears isn't causing any trouble for Shawn and Belle aside from being her usual annoying self. Marlena mentions Jan seeing a psychiatrist so she hopes she is taking her medication and working on her issues..

Belle asks Jan to think about what she's doing because if she kills her, Shawn will never even look at her again and he'll hate her. Jan suggests Shawn will thank her for getting rid of the woman who claims to love him but had no problem cheating on him, first with Philip and then the guy from Maine. Jan says she's done her homework and calls her a slut who doesn't deserve Shawn's love. Belle agrees that she probably doesn't but the bond they share is unbreakable and she has earned his love back. Jan warns that her luck is about to run out as she loads her gun towards Belle.. Belle pleads with her and then Claire knocks on the door, saying she's here to help the bride get ready.

Sarah asks if Xander recognizes the woman with Philip. Xander reveals that he only sees Philip and a big blur in the picture. Sarah realizes she had to turn off the flash so they didn't see her and they must have moved too fast so she apologizes. Xander asks Sarah to describe her. Sarah says she has a similar build to her with brown hair and brown eyes but she knows that doesn't narrow it down. Sarah reminds Xander that they know where the woman lives and where she and Philip are right now.

Philip asks Ava to pull back on the threats. Ava responds that she will when he delivers what he promised. Philip says he will but it's not easy laundering millions with his co-CEO breathing down his neck. Ava argues that she spent time with Xander while recovering at the warehouse in Nashville and says he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. Philp complains that Xander runs crying to Victor every time. Ava warns him to find a way to neutralize Xander or she will.

Charlie assures Shawn that his intentions are completely honorable as he would never hurt Claire. Shawn says that's good to know and informs Charlie that he and John are both cops. Shawn adds that Claire has been through a lot so they are very protective of her. Charlie repeats that he would never ever hurt her. Shawn warns that he better not. Shawn then says it's time for him to go change for his wedding so he heads to the back.

Jan tells Belle that it sounds like Claire wants to join the party. Belle asks her not to hurt her daughter. Jan says she wouldn't but warns Belle to do exactly as she says to make sure that doesn't happen. Claire knocks again until Belle answers and claims she was just getting out of the bath. Claire asks if she's going to let her in so they can get ready. Belle instead asks Claire to call Shawn to ask if he knows where her bracelet is so she can wear it to the wedding. Claire asks why she can't just call her. Belle responds that she can't and claims she's just so nervous. Belle says it's better to get ready alone and she will just meet her there. Claire asks if she's sure because she was going to do her makeup. Belle says she's fine and she'll see her there. Belle tells Claire that she loves her so much. Claire says she loves her too as Belle shuts the door. Claire walks away saying that was weird then she runs into Brady, who asks her about it. Claire tells him what happened and how she felt Belle kind of yelled at her like she was trying to get rid of her. Brady suggests it's just her imagination and that Belle is just excited and nervous. Brady decides to give Claire a ride and they walk off together.

Philip tells Ava that as much as he detests Xander, they don't need to kill him and they have a much better weapon to use against him in Sarah Horton. Philip informs Ava that when Xander thought he was making a move on Sarah, Xander nearly lost his mind so all he has to do is push his buttons until he does something really stupid. Ava asks if Philip plans to use his charm to seduce Sarah. Philip asks if she doesn't think he can do it. Ava responds that she doesn't care how he does it and tells him to just get rid of Xander.

Xander looks up the apartment and finds that it is owned by someone named Fred. Sarah suggests it could be a share situation. Xander calls it useless and decides the only thing to do is go over there, bang on the door, and have it out with Philip. Sarah points out that Philip will deny everything, run to Victor, and say that Xander is harassing him. Xander admits he would get fired again and it would also tip Philip off that they are onto them. Xander says they need to use stealth to find proof that Victor can't deny. Xander suggests a stakeout at the apartment because the woman has to leave at some point so when she does, he'll break in and find something that proves Philip is up to no good.

Brady and Claire arrive at John and Marlena's. Charlie tells Claire that he's so glad she is there. Claire introduces Charlie to Brady. Claire notices Charlie is sweating. Charlie says it's just hot in here. Claire asks if he met her family yet. Charlie says he did and claims they are all really welcoming. Claire talks about Belle being nervous and rushing her away to meet her here. Claire hopes Belle doesn't end up needing her help.

Jan tells Belle that she's glad she didn't try to pull anything because she would have hated to hurt Claire. Jan calls Claire the best friend she's ever had. Belle says Jan talked about second chances and asks her to give her a second chance to be the friend she should've been. Jan tells Belle to stop acting like a condescending bitch. Belle says she can help her but Jan argues that this isn't a cry for help. Jan declares this is her taking back what Belle stole from her years ago and nothing can stop her.

Philip tells Ava that Sarah is the key and he will use her to push Xander over the edge then Victor will fire him from Titan for good so then he can launder her mob money faster than she can make it. Ava laughs off how getting Xander fired didn't work the last time and says she'll believe it when she sees it. Philip wants to be clear that after he launders her money and pays off his gambling debts that she will then leave him alone. Ava says of course she will and gives her word.

Sarah returns to Xander at Julie's Place with a bag of snacks for their stakeout. Xander is against Sarah coming along but Sarah insists that she is going. Xander warns that it's illegal and could be dangerous as they don't know what kind of people Philip is working with. Sarah argues that she's a doctor so she doesn't scare easily. Sarah entices Xander with his favorite biscuits in the bag of snacks so he agrees for her to come along. Xander says they are a team but she has to do exactly what he says and can't go rogue so if he says to stay put then she must stay put. Xander thanks her for believing in him. Sarah wishes she did from the beginning and says she's really sorry but she's here now. Sarah declares that they will take Philip down for good.

Claire informs Brady that Charlie is an intern at Titan who works directly under Philip and Xander which Brady jokes about. Claire tells Brady not to scare him. Brady advises Charlie to keep his head low and stay neutral so he doesn't get in a war between Philip and Xander. Brady then walks to the back. Claire encourages Charlie not to worry. Charlie says Brady seems nice and claims that everybody in her family is great. Claire brings up Charlie sweating when she walked in. Charlie then admits that John and Shawn were eager to set him straight but he understands they love her so much. Claire is sorry she wasn't there to protect him and asks if he wishes he didn't come. Charlie assures this is the only place he wants to be. Claire tells Charlie to come with her as she has to get things from the car so they exit. Brady comes back out with Philip. Philip says that Claire is going to be Belle's maid of honor so he asks Brady to be his best man. Brady says he'd be honored. Shawn jokes that it was between him and Charlie. Brady asks if there is anything he can do for him. Shawn has Brady hold the rings and says now all they need is the bride.

Belle argues that she knows Jan doesn't want to hurt her. Jan blames Belle for her life being so screwed up and says if she just let her be with Shawn then everything would've been different. Jan cries that she wouldn't have spent half her life in a coma and she would be with Shawn. Jan complains that Belle had all that and took it for granted when she cheated on Shawn so that's why she doesn't deserve to be Shawn's wife. Jan declares that she will make sure Belle never hurts Shawn again. Belle then grabs Jan and tackles her.

Ava tells Philip that she doesn't want to track him all over town and orders him to check in with her, warning him not to test her. Philip then exits her apartment and walks away while Xander and Sarah hide around the corner. Xander mentions the woman's voice sounding familiar and says now they wait.

Claire asks Shawn what he thinks of Charlie. Shawn says he's alright but he feels nobody is good enough for her so Claire settles with alright. John tells Marlena that he finally gets to walk his daughter down the aisle which he never thought would happen since he missed Belle and Shawn's last wedding. Marlena is sorry that Stefano prevented him from being there. Marlena says that was a lovely ceremony and flashes back to Belle and Shawn's first wedding. Shawn gets a text that Belle is parking the car so Claire calls for everyone to get in their places and John calls for the wedding to get started. John steps outside to walk Belle in. John walks down the aisle to Shawn but when they remove the veil, it's Jan Spears instead of Belle, leaving everyone in the room shocked.
