Days of Our Lives Update Wednesday 11/11/20

Theo and Claire finish listening to Claire's song for Ciara. Theo tells her it was beautiful and praises her. Theo says Ciara would've loved it. Claire calls it incredible that Theo came to see her as if he felt that she needed him. Theo and Claire then kiss as Charlie walks in and is shocked to see them kissing.

Xander goes through the paper work at the office and finds something odd, wondering why Philip would transfer those funds.

Victor sits alone in the town square when he gets a call from Xander. Xander says when Victor sees what he sees, he's going to wonder what the hell Philip is up to. Victor responds that the better question is what is Xander up to.

Philip enters the living room of the Kiriakis Mansion where Sarah is reading a book. Philip jokes with her and tells her he's sorry about interrupting her romantic dinner last time.

At the DiMera Mansion, Gwen tells the portrait of Stefano that she told him she'd pull it off. Gwen declares that Jack and Jennifer's marriage has been blown up and it's all Abigail's fault. Gwen says she couldn't have planned it any better. Abigail then walks into the room. Gwen says they were so worried about her and that Chad went looking for her. Abigail says she just had to get out and didn't want to talk to anybody so she went out the emergency exit and ran in to Jack. Gwen asks what he had to say for himself. Abigail says that Jack ripped her to shreds and basically blames her for everything. Gwen acts surprised and says it's not Abigail's fault. Abigail explains that Jack thinks it is and that she ruined the party and their marriage so he probably hates her. Gwen tells Abigail that she has her so no one is going to blast her here.

Kate asks Jake if he wants them to have a secret affair behind Chad's back. Jake asks why not and jokes that it will be hotter to sneak around and says what Chad doesn't know won't hurt him. Chad then knocks on the door, asking if Kate is inside. Jake says so much for Chad not finding out. Kate orders Jake to hide now because Chad can't know about this. Kate tells Jake that if he wants this to happen again, he will hide now. Chad calls for Kate to let him in because it's important and he needs to talk to her. Kate then answers the door, asking what he wants because she doesn't want to do this and she wants to go to bed because it was a very long night for all of them. Chad tells her it's not over yet and asks to come in so Kate invites him in.Jake then sneaks out the door as Chad enters. Kate asks Chad what the big emergency is. Chad informs her that Abigail has disappeared.

Abigail tells Gwen that she wanted her parents to have this amazing night but she ruined her entire family instead. Gwen tells her that she did not ruin her entire family. Abigail says she humiliated her mother and her father hates her. Abigail blames herself for drinking. Gwen responds that if it's on anyone, it's her. Abigail argues that Gwen has been nothing but great. Gwen says she's the one that suggested finding shoes in Kate's room and told Abigail to read the letter. Abigail is glad she knows the truth but says this night was supposed to be celebrating the strength of her parents' marriage and she blew it to pieces instead.

Charlie turns and exits after seeing Claire kissing Theo. Theo pulls away and asks where that kiss came from.

Philip tells Sarah that he ruined a beautiful evening she had planned for Xander. Sarah jokes that Xander kind of ruined it too but says all is forgiven. Philip offers to check for leftovers. Sarah decides to go finish reading her book bed so she says goodnight and exits.

Xander tells Victor that he's not up to anything but he's looking at an alarming spreadsheet. Victor doesn't want to hear it and questions Xander searching for a problem to pin on Philip. Xander explains that there's a large sum of money missing from one of the corporate accounts so he followed the trail and it seems that Philip transferred the money to what looks like a shell company. Victor asks if he's sure. Xander says he will e-mail him the spreadsheets so he can see that Philip moved the money and told them nothing about it. Xander argues that it's not just bad for him but bad for Titan. Victor responds that he will handle it as they hang up.

Kate questions Chad saying that Abigail disappeared. Chad argues that he knew something was wrong and he tried to ask her multiple times but she wouldn't tell him. Chad brings up the letter and how wrecked Abigail was then the next thing he knows, she was gone. Kate asks if that's her fault too. Chad explains that he thought maybe she came to confront her. Kate says obviously not and complains about Abigail going through her personal things so she doesn't care about her welfare. Chad argues that Abigail left her purse and doesn't have her phone so he has no way to reach her or idea of where she could have gone. Chad brings up Abigail being on medication and says he's really worried that she could be in trouble. Kate says she's sorry and doesn't want to see her harmed. Chad says the harm has already been done and questions what Kate was thinking by sleeping with Abigail's father while her mother was in a coma.

Abigail talks to Gwen about the look on Jennifer's face and says she should've learned the truth privately instead of in front of her friends and family. Gwen says that every family goes through a rough patch and her family has always ended up stronger on the other side. Abigail worries this may be too much but Gwen bets they will put this behind them eventually. Gwen tells her that until then, she has Chad and her. Abigail doesn't know what they would do without Gwen. Abigail then starts feeling sick again and heads back to the restroom. Gwen repeats to herself that Abigail has her and she's just getting started. Jake then walks into the room.

Philip gets a call from Victor, who questions what the hell he is up to.

Xander continues going through his computer when Charlie comes back in. Xander asks what he's doing back. Charlie informs him that it turns out Claire was busy. Xander questions what happened to taking charge and making a bold move. Charlie explains that he didn't have the chance because she was kissing some other guy.

Claire tells Theo that was a welcome home kiss and tells him that she's missed him so much. Claire says she just felt so close to him now like they used to be and it made her feel so comfortable and right. Claire wonders if maybe they could give it another try.

Philip claims to Victor that he's not up to anything. Victor questions why a large sum of money was transferred from a corporate account to an apparent shell company then. Philip says he can explain. Victor warns him about embezzlement. Philip claims that the shell company was set up as part of a deal they talked about. Philip assumes that Xander was trying to incriminate him over something totally legitimate. Philip offers to send him the contract but Victor says that's not necessary. Philip says Xander would just come up with a new way to frame him. Victor says he will have a word with Xander. Philip points out that it hasn't done any good so far. Philip remarks that he is as unhappy as Xander is with the co-CEO thing but he loves Victor so he's willing to do it to make him happy while Xander's only agenda is to get him gone.

Xander questions Charlie just walking away without a word. Charlie says he didn't want to interrupt. Xander argues that he's too polite. Xander admits that Claire kissing another guy is not an ideal start but not necessarily cause to be alarmed. Xander suggests it's a good thing. Xander says Claire will have lots of men chasing her but Charlie can be the one who wows her and blows her away. Charlie questions what he has to offer. Xander guesses he really needs his help. Xander reminds Charlie that he works for them at Titan so he has a future and he already has a connection with Claire. Charlie guesses the other guy has a lot to offer since she seemed happy to be kissing him. Charlie wonders if he should just give up as he dumps the flowers in the trash.

Theo tells Claire that he doesn't think it will work. Claire knows it won't be easy since she lives here and Theo lives in South Africa but says he could always come back to Salem. Theo disagrees and says he has a life in South Africa. Claire apologizes for being selfish and suggests that she could totally move to South Africa so she asks for one good reason why this won't work. Theo then reveals to Claire that he is seeing someone.

Kate tells Chad that it's not like she and Jack were having a torrid affair behind Jennifer's back. Kate says that Jack needed a friend and it just happened and they knew it couldn't happen again so they buried it. Kate argues that it would've stayed buried if Abigail hadn't dug up that letter.

Gwen tells Jake to go away and says it's been a horrible night. Jake argues that's exactly how she planned it since she told him it would be a night to remember and then all hell broke loose. Gwen questions him thinking that's her fault. Jake goes over Gwen showing up late with Abigail, who happens to have a letter that reveals her dad cheated on her mom while she was in a coma. Jake says it has Gwen's claws all over it. Gwen questions Jake thinking that she moved here a year ago, found out about the affair, wormed her way into the house, threw Abigail's parents a party, arranged for her to discover the letter and got her drunk in hopes that she would destroy her parents marriage and herself in the process. Jake responds that it's exactly what he's suggesting. Gwen accuses him of coming up with conspiracy theories and mocks him as she walks out of the room. Jake pours a drink and then Abigail comes back in. Abigail asks where Gwen went. Jake tells her that she just left. Jake then comments that Abigail looks terrible. Abigail says she had too much champagne. Jake reminds her that he was there. Abigail calls it a total disaster that was all her fault. Jake asks if she wants to talk about it. Abigail wishes she never found that letter. Jake asks how she did find it.

Claire questions Theo seeing someone and if it's serious. Theo says they have been hanging out for the past couple months and questions Claire not seeing anyone. Claire says she's not and jokes that she's going to be an old cat lady alone forever. Theo believes plenty of guys want to date her. Claire then brings up there is one guy that she's been getting to know lately and she likes him but she hardly knows him.

Xander questions Charlie giving up and asks if he would be with the love of his life if he just gave up. Charlie argues that it's different for Xander with his looks and accent. Xander talks about how Sarah hated him and had zero interest at first but he never gave up because they had a real connection and it took her awhile to admit it. Charlie thinks he feels that connection with Claire. Xander encourages him to trust in that feeling and believe in it because the path to true love is never smooth. Xander talks about knowing he and Sarah were meant to be. Xander urges Charlie to never give up and make Claire forget about this other guy. Charlie notes that Claire seemed pretty into him. Xander promises that if Charlie wants to be with Claire, he can make it happen. Xander adds that he's never been happier in his whole life.

Philip makes a call and says there was a little hiccup today but he got it straightened out. Philip says Xander is starting to get suspicious but he can handle him. Philip then shouts that he's doing the best he can and tosses his phone as Sarah comes back into the room and asks if everything is okay. Philip tells her that he was just frustrated by a deal he's putting together. Sarah tells him that he has an incredible co-CEO who is great at putting deals together so she suggests he talk to Xander. Philip says he will do that.

Charlie agrees that maybe he needs to take more initiative but he's not going back there tonight. Charlie asks what his next move is. Xander suggests it won't be his move at all and let Claire come to him. Charlie questions thinking someone as hot as Claire will come to him when she's kissing another guy. Xander tells him to give himself more credit.

Theo asks Claire who the guy is. Claire tells him that his name is Charlie and he works at Titan. Claire explains that they met when she spilled smoothie on his shirt and he was sweet about it. Claire says they talked and he was really sweet and understanding about Ciara. Claire admits that Charlie made her feel really good and he wants to take her out to dinner. Theo tells her to go to dinner with him already. Claire doesn't know if now is the best time for her to start a new relationship. Claire says she screws everything up like she did with Theo and Tripp so she worries about screwing this up too with Charlie. Claire doesn't think she could handle being hurt again.

Chad tells Kate not to put this on Abigail when she slept with her father. Chad says the way it came out was not ideal but Abigail was upset and not thinking clearly. Kate tells him that she's sorry as she never wanted anything that happened between she and Jack to hurt someone. Chad questions why she kept the letter. Kate argues that she kept it in a box in her closet. Chad thought she'd be smarter than leaving that kind of evidence around. Kate guesses she was foolish to think it would be safe in her closet in her own house.

Abigail explains to Jake that she was looking through Kate's closet for a box of shoes and knocked loose a box of letters when she saw Kate's name in her dad's handwriting. Jake feels that was kind of careless of Kate. Abigail notes that Gwen encouraged her to look. Jake comments on Gwen always being so helpful. Abigail asks if he's going to warn her about Gwen again. Jake points out that tonight never would have happened if she didn't take Gwen's advice. Abigail says Gwen has never been anything but honest and kind to her so she would appreciate it if he wouldn't badmouth her friend.

Xander tells Charlie that it's time for him to go home to the woman he loves. Xander asks Charlie to file papers before he goes. Xander takes the flowers from the trash and says he won't waste them. Xander encourages Charlie that he's got this and to keep the faith as he exits the office.

Theo tells Claire that it makes sense that she's scared to start a new relationship. Theo talks about being nervous in his relationship since his autism makes some people uncomfortable but he had to put himself out there and take the chance. Claire says that's great but she has a very complicated history. Theo says everybody has a past so she can either get stuck in it or look forward to the future. Theo notes that it sounds like she found a great guy so she should see how it goes. Claire worries about it crashing and burning like everything else in her life. Theo praises her and encourages her to take the chance to see how it goes. Claire decides maybe she will and thanks Theo.

Jake admits to Abigail that he's an ass when it comes to Gwen so he will keep his opinions about her to himself. Abigail wishes she could wake up and have this whole thing never happen. Jake guesses she will have a hell of a hangover but he can make a killer hangover cure which Abigail accepts. Gwen then walks by and sees them laughing together, causing her to look concerned.

Kate tells Chad that she'd like to go to bed if he's done with her unless he wants to take a swing at Jake for being her plus one. Chad says not to get him started. Kate says goodnight and that she hopes Abigail comes back tonight. Chad decides to call JJ to see if she reached out to him. Kate guesses Abigail is okay and just went to cool off so she'll be back soon. Kate asks Chad to let her know if she doesn't show up because she will do everything she can to help him find her. Chad then exits her room. Chad runs in to Gwen, who informs Chad that Abigail is home and downstairs. Chad thanks her and hurries downstairs, leaving Gwen with a smile.

Philip tells Sarah that he's going to bed and offers to walk her to her door but she declines. Sarah mentions finishing the book she was reading so she's going to start a new one and wait for Xander to get home. Sarah says goodnight and Philip leaves the room as Sarah watches him go with a look of wonder.

Claire surprises Charlie at the Titan office. Charlie questions what she's doing here. Claire says she decided to bring him a frappucino since he was working late. Charlie thanks her but reacts disinterested. Claire asks if she can help with what he's working on. Charlie asks if she has somewhere else to be but Claire says no. Charlie says what he's doing is complicated and he has a deadline so maybe some other time. Claire then exits confused.

Xander comes home to Sarah and brings her the flowers from earlier. Xander hoped to make up for the other night when he made an ass of himself. Sarah calls the flowers a good start. Xander tells her that he will keep working his way back into her good graces. Sarah knows one way he can start. Xander wants to have dinner first. Xander stops and asks if Victor talked to Philip tonight. Sarah says she doesn't know and asks why. Xander knows she doesn't want to hear it but he's pretty sure Philip is up to something. After Xander walks away, Sarah remarks that she thinks so too.

Kate retrieves Jake's leather jacket from under her bed and says she's not putting that in her closet so she sneaks out of her room with it. Gwen then walks up behind and wonders what Kate is up to now.

Abigail falls asleep on the couch next to Jake. Jake puts a blanket over her as Chad walks in and questions what the hell.
