Bonnie approaches Jennifer in the town square and comments on Jennifer and Jack's anniversary, wishing them a happy celebration. Jennifer questions how she knew it was their anniversary. Bonnie informs her that Justin told her.

Jack goes to the Kiriakis Mansion and asks Justin if he has a minute. Justin asks what he can do for him. Jack tells Justin that he was trying to figure out how to say it but then he walked in and saw him looking at Adrienne's picture. Jack tells Justin that he's really sorry.

Kate thinks back to Jake telling her that he prefers bad girls. Chad then enters her room and asks if Kate was expecting someone else.

Ben sits in his holding cell when Jake shows up and says he came to get him the hell out of here.

At the DiMera Mansion, Gwen gets ready for the party and comments on what a Salem party would be without one big nasty surprise. Abigail walks in and asks Gwen if something is wrong since she sent her a text. Gwen says it's nothing and stupid but she wants her to tell her that everything is going to be alright. Gwen worries about all these rich, fancy people coming to a party she planned. Gwen says if it turns out to be a disaster, it would be her fault and Abigail would hate her. Abigail says she just got off the phone with Julie and she said everything is perfect. Abigail thanks Gwen for everything. Gwen says she's enjoyed it and it's easier to make things nice when you don't have to worry about money. Abigail says she went above and beyond and she didn't have to worry about anything. Gwen says Abigail is a very busy woman while she had all the time to plan the party. Gwen repeats that she really enjoyed it so she wants to see everybody else enjoy it too, especially Jack and Jennifer. Abigail says they deserve a really great night. Gwen responds that Abigail does too. Gwen tells Abigail that there is just one more thing.

Justin asks what Jack is sorry for. Jack knows today can't be an easy day for Justin as it's not just Jack and Jennifer's anniversary but also Justin and Adrienne's. Justin talks about that day where they showed up for Eli and Lani's wedding but then they decided to get married. Jack says he came over to tell him that he gets it if Justin doesn't want to come to the party because it's hard to celebrate somebody else's happy ending after a terrible loss. Justin tells Jack that he's happy for he and Jennifer and thanks him for giving him the out because he doesn't think he'd be the life of the party. Jack points out that's not the only reason which Justin questions. Jack says it's not just about Adrienne but about someone else as well..

Jennifer questions Bonnie being with Justin when her case was settled. Bonnie informs her that they are friends. Jennifer brings up finding Bonnie crying after Justin pushed her away after she kissed him. Bonnie explains that since then, they've come a long way and Justin has forgiven her for all the terrible things she did. Jennifer thinks she's being overly optimistic, reminding her of how much she put Justin and Adrienne through. Jennifer states that Justin would be a saint for forgiving her. Jennifer hopes that Bonnie isn't thinking there could ever be any more between them.

Kate claims to Chad that she was just hoping it was her dry cleaning. Kate asks why Chad needed to see her. Chad questions why he needs a reason. Kate points out that it's late and he has a look on his face. Chad admits he was hoping he could talk her in to coming to the party for Jack and Jennifer tonight. Kate doesn't think that's a good idea.

Gwen tells Abigail that she has a surprise. Gwen has Abigail close her eyes and turn around. Gwen then has Abigail open her eyes and she is shocked to see her brother JJ has returned. Abigail asks what he's doing here when he said he couldn't make it. Abigail can't believe Gwen did this. JJ jokes about how complicated it is to get from South Africa to Salem and says it was all done by Gwen. Abigail realizes all of Gwen's worries was just bull to get her to come in. Abigail asks JJ if Jack and Jennifer know he's there. JJ says that Gwen thought it should be a surprise too. Gwen says she loves surprises. Abigail says she's so happy that JJ is back. Gwen figures they have a lot of catching up to do so she will leave them alone. Abigail tells her how grateful that she is for the amazing surprise. Gwen says she will see them later and exits. Gwen remarks to herself that if she thought that was a surprise, she hasn't seen nothing yet.

Chad questions Kate not coming as he thought she loved parties. Kate points out that she wasn't invited. Chad says he's inviting her now. Kate feels it's last minute and half-hearted. Chad argues that he wants her to be there. Kate reminds him that she's not close with Jack and Jennifer. Chad says plenty of people will be there that aren't close to them. Kate claims she's waiting on her dry cleaning. Chad questions why she's fighting him on this. Kate questions why he's pushing her. Chad admits that he's noticed lately that she's been loving a solitary life. Kate asks if he's feeling sorry for her. Chad says he cares about her and she hasn't been with anyone since Andre died so he thought tonight would be a good chance for her to bring a date.

Jake brings Ben back to his room at the Salem Inn. Jake invites Ben to rent his old room over the garage since he's staying at the DiMera Mansion but Ben says it won't make him think of Ciara any less as it doesn't make a difference where he is because she's gone.

Abigail can't believe Gwen arranged for JJ to be here. Abigail says Gwen has been great in so many ways and talks about the kids loving her. Abigail continues praising Gwen. JJ jokes that Gwen is good looking too. JJ tells Abigail that he missed her and asks how she's doing. Abigail thinks things are really back on track and asks about JJ. JJ says he likes working with Theo and he really likes the people in South Africa. JJ admits he crashed and burned after Haley died but so many people there need help so he feels like what he does matters. Abigail brings up that a year ago yesterday, they never thought they would have Jennifer back but then she woke up. Abigail comments that it's like they are all getting their lives back on track here, especially Jack.

Justin asks Jack what other reason he would have for not wanting to go to the party. Jack brings up that Steve and Kayla will be there so he knows it won't be easy for him. Justin assures he wants Kayla to be happy. Jack says he knows that since Justin let her go when he didn't have to. Jack talks about how Adrienne always talked about Justin always doing the right thing. Justin reveals that he even found it in his heart to forgive Bonnie Lockhart and wonders how Adrienne would feel about that.

Bonnie tells Jennifer that she doesn't need anyone to remind her of what she's done but she doesn't care what anyone else thinks. Bonnie says it really mattered what Justin thought and with everything he's dealing with, he doesn't need to be hating her. Bonnie adds that she had more money than she ever had in her life but it didn't matter because of all the awful things that she did to Justin. Bonnie reveals to Jennifer that she gave it to Sonny's company in Adrienne's name. Jennifer admits she didn't know that. Bonnie says that Justin did and he forgave her. Jennifer never thought she'd say this but she believes Bonnie. Bonnie guesses that's good. Bonnie says Jennifer doesn't have to remind her that Justin lost Adrienne and Kayla. Bonnie admits that with Sonny out of town, she's worried about Justin. Jennifer says they are too. Bonnie says it's nice they are having this party but thinks it might be kind of hard on Justin. Jennifer acknowledges that it's Adrienne and Justin's anniversary too and says that Jack is talking to Justin about that now. Bonnie apologizes for shooting off her mouth too. Jennifer understands that Bonnie cares about Justin and says they do too.

Jack questions Justin forgiving Bonnie after everything she did to Adrienne and Lucas. Jack argues that Bonnie is after Justin. Justin informs him that Bonnie took her settlement money and gave it to Sonny's breast cancer company in Adrienne's name. Jack argues that Bonnie is just reeling him in. Justin shouts that he doesn't care as he's sick and tired of being angry and frustrating and living in the past. Justin remarks that being mad at Bonnie won't bring Adrienne back and nothing will.

Jake offers to take Ciara's things out of the room but Ben says it doesn't matter as nothing makes a difference. Ben goes over dragging Vincent out of the police station to make him tell him that Ciara was still alive but instead, he told him that he shot her at point blank range. Ben felt Vincent was screwing with him so he still refuses to believe she's gone as he thinks that's what Vincent wanted.

JJ asks Abigail about the whole party being Gwen's idea which Abigail confirms. Abigail talks about how happy Jack and Jennifer will be to see JJ. JJ says that Gwen thought he should see them here before the party so there's not a room full of people watching. Abigail calls it so weird since when she first met Gwen, she thought she was self-consumed tough girl but now she's summoning JJ and making all his arrangements so he can have a private moment with Jack and Jennifer which all seems pretty sensitive. JJ agrees and then asks Abigail if Gwen is single.

Bonnie tells Jennifer that she doesn't want to keep her from the party and tells them to have a nice evening. Jennifer stops her and guesses she's glad that Justin has forgiven her but tells her not to accept everyone else in town to. Bonnie guesses she's talking about Jack. Jennifer says that Bonnie took a year of his sister's life and now she's gone so she can't expect everyone to be like Justin.

Jack tells Justin that he came to see him but made everything worse. Jack says he shouldn't say what Justin should do and it's good that he forgave Bonnie as he hopes it makes things easier for him. Justin knows he wishes Bonnie was burning in Hell. Justin tells Jack that he didn't just forgive Bonnie, he thinks he likes her. Jack asks if he's testing him. Justin tells him that Bonnie makes him laugh and right now in his life, that's a very big deal. Jack calls that great but Justin knows he hated saying that. Justin tells Jack to go have a great time at his party and give everyone his love. Justin knows it doesn't make sense but talking to Jack has made him feel better so he thanks him for coming by. Jack says that Adrienne always did have great taste as he then exits the mansion.

Abigail tells JJ that Gwen is single and jokes with him about it. Chad then comes in, surprised to see JJ and hugs him. Chad thought he wouldn't be able to make it. Abigail explains that Gwen made everything work for JJ to be there. JJ says he wanted to be there for his parents. Chad says it's going to be amazing. Abigail adds that it will be a night to remember. Abigail asks Chad to go help JJ get ready. Chad stops and says he needed to talk to Abigail first.

Jake tells Ben that he's thinking about going back to work at the garage so maybe Ben can work with him. Jake worries about Ben sitting around here. Ben admits it's probably a good idea and he can start paying him back for bailing him out. Jake tells Ben that money is not a problem for him right now. Jake suggests they go have beer and nachos at the Pub but Ben says not tonight. Ben assures that he'll be fine. Jake tells him to hang in there as he exits the room.

Abigail questions Chad inviting Kate to the party when Jack and Jennifer can't stand her. Chad explains that he happens to be very fond of Kate and that her parents won't even know she's there. Chad asks Abigail to be okay with this because Kate means a lot to him and he'd really like for her to be there. Abigail jokes that Chad always gets his way. Abigail worries about Kate messing up the night but Chad says he will make sure she is the ideal guest as they hug.

Kate gets dressed for the party and leaves her room. Gwen then sneaks in to Kate's room and pulls out a shoebox. She sees a paper inside and says it's still there so let the games begin.

Kate walks through the town square and runs in to Jake. Jake whistles at her and asks where she's going dressed like that. Kate informs him that she's going to the party for Abigail's parents. Jake talks about Gwen planning it and how Gwen doesn't work for anything that doesn't serve her.

Gwen hides a pair of Abigail's heels underneath the couch in the living room as Abigail comes back in. Gwen says she looks nice. Abigail tells her there's one problem as she can't find her heels. Gwen suggests Charlotte was playing dress up and maybe she has them. Abigail says she already asked and she doesn't. Gwen says she would loan her a pair but she gets her shoes at a thrift shop. Gwen then suggests Kate's shoes and leaves the room with Abigail.

Ben remains sitting his room, holding Ciara's dress.

Justin runs in to Bonnie outside the Brady Pub. Bonnie invites him to join her for a beer but Justin declines. Bonnie starts to head inside then but Justin stops her and says maybe another time. Bonnie accepts that and jokes that Justin has her number so she'll be seeing him. Justin says that sounds good as he walks away.

Kate tells Jake that she's looking forward to this celebration of Jack and Jennifer. Kate then suggests Jake come with her since Chad told her she could bring a guest. Jake says if he didn't know any better, he'd think she's asking him out on a date.

Jennifer joins Jack in the living room of the DiMera Mansion and asks if he talked to Justin about coming to the party. Jack confirms they talked and that Justin said he's forgiven Bonnie. Jennifer informs him that Bonnie said the same thing. Jack questions her chatting with Bonnie. Jennifer explains that they bumped into each other and she thinks Bonnie is trying to change. JJ then walks in and says he heard there was a party tonight. Jennifer and Jack are thrilled to see him and they hug him. JJ wishes them a happy anniversary. Jennifer asks why he didn't tell them he was coming. JJ says he didn't know until the last minute but Gwen arranged it and said it's a night he wouldn't want to miss.

Abigail goes knocking on Kate's door but Gwen says she left already. Abigail feels they can't just barge in. Gwen argues that Kate lives there rent free so she owes her. Abigail thinks Kate probably isn't her size but Gwen reveals that she's exactly her size. Gwen brings up the silver shoes that Kate wore to the press conference which Abigail admits would be perfect. Gwen points to the box which is full of letters. Abigail questions Kate keeping her letters in a shoebox. Gwen remarks that they are probably just old love letters. Abigail doesn't want to think about who they are from and starts to move through them but is shocked by a letter she finds. Gwen asks her what's the matter.
