Sarah goes to the living room of the Kiriakis Mansion where Philip informs her of the power outage and the prison break. Sarah calls that terrifying and hopes the prisoners have been caught but Philip says not yet and that they are considered armed and dangerous.

Shawn and Eli go over the prison break and power outage at the police station. Eli complains that it's like the convicts disappeared as they have no lead. Shawn hopes that Dr. Rolf shows up at Princess Gina's old lair as he has units waiting there. Eli wonders why Rolf even showed up at the DiMera Mansion since he doesn't have any allies there. Shawn wonders how Rolf escaped. Shawn adds that they suspected Orpheus to go to Marlena's and Clyde to go to Ben's but both turned out to be dead ends too. Eli hopes that Clyde turns up at Ben's since Ben promised to let him know if he heard from his dad.

Clyde points out that Ben didn't say no. Ben thanks him but says he will pass. Clyde questions what Ben has to stick around for, pointing out that people will never accept him and he'll just be crying at his dead wife's grave. Ben picks up the gun and tells Clyde that it's for revenge. Clyde questions where Ben got the gun. Ben informs him that he took it from the police station. Clyde questions Ben finding peace with Ciara's death by killing the man who killed her with his own weapon.

Belle goes home and calls Shawn, saying she saw that he called but there was no message. Belle is sure he's at the station but hopes he's on his way home soon. Belle says to call when he gets this and hangs up. Belle hopes Shawn gets home soon as it's spooky and dark and she's alone. Jan Spears then enters and tells Belle that she's not alone. Belle questions how she got in. Jan says the door was unlocked so she wasn't going to stay outside when they are dangerous criminals on the loose. Belle tells her to get the hell out and go home. Jan informs Belle that she brought her a little present and reaches into her purse...

Clyde guesses Ben was on his way out to kill Vincent when he showed up. Ben talks about how Vincent shot Ciara and left her to die in that burning car. Clyde offers to take care of it but Ben wants answers. Ben says he wants to look Vincent in the eye and hear him as he begs for his life. Ben wants to see Vincent's fear like how Ciara felt when he pointed the gun at her. Ben shouts that he needs justice and this is the only way he's going to get it.

Philip fills Sarah in on the prison break. Sarah brings up Orpheus being the one who kidnapped Maggie and caused the car accident that killed her baby. Sarah wants to warn Maggie but Philip says to let her sleep. Philip assures that he put security on high alert and won't let anything happen to Maggie. Sarah agrees that she doesn't want to wake her up and scare her. Philip asks if Sarah wants to stay here with him instead of going back to bed alone. Sarah asks why he would say that. Philip talks about Xander wandering around earlier and how he wouldn't admit that she kicked him out of bed but it was obvious that's what happened. Philip claims he hopes he wasn't the cause of that. Sarah assures it wasn't Philip but Xander's caveman behavior. Sarah talks about how if he wasn't trying to oust Philip at Titan, they wouldn't have been having dinner together and there wouldn't have been anything to be jealous about. Philip says they were just two friends having dinner. Philip claims he wouldn't have said yes to dinner if he knew it would cause so much trouble. Sarah says that Xander should be apologizing to both of them. Sarah mocks the idea that she would have a romantic dinner with another man and what that says about Xander's faith in her. Philip laughs at Xander spilling wine on her dress and makes Sarah laugh about it too. Xander then enters the room and sees them together.

Claire walks outside and gets a call from Charlie. Claire says she just ran out to get flashlight batteries and asks what he is up to. Charlie says he's stuck at the office. Claire says he must be dedicated but Charlie reveals that he's literally stuck in the office.

Jan approaches Belle. Belle backs up, asking Jan not to hurt her, and ends up falling down. Jan offers to help her up but Belle tells her to stay away from her. Jan laughs at the idea that she was going to hurt her and tells her to relax. Jan points out a candle that Belle dropped and says she could've burned the place down. Jan offers to light the candle but Belle doesn't want her having matches and asks her to go. Jan reveals the present from her purse was a healing crystal for Claire to comfort her through Ciara's memorial. Belle tells Jan to stay away from her. Jan talks about the crystal but Belle tells her to get the hell out of her house.

Claire asks Charlie what happened. Charlie explains the power outage caused an electronic glitch with the doors that locked automatically. Claire asks if he can't overwrite the system. Charlie tells her that he never wrote down the password so he hoped she might know it since her family owns the company. Claire says she doesn't and tells him to just call Philip or Xander but Charlie feels they would think he's incompetent for getting locked in the office and waking them up. Claire assures they will understand. Charlie then asks if Claire can come by the office to let him out from the outside.

Xander questions Sarah and Philip laughing together. Philip brings up Sarah kicking Xander out of bed. Xander questions her sharing that with him. Sarah feels they've had enough stress for one night. Xander points out that they are both finding humor when someone is deeply hurt. Sarah argues that Xander just threw a jealous fit over nothing. Philip mocks Xander. Xander calls Philip arrogant and says he fails at everything he does. Xander adds that if Philip wasn't a Kiriakis, he would be a dead beat. Sarah tells Xander to stop. Philip says it's obvious that Xander is projecting his own insecurities onto him. Philip accuses Xander of spying on them. Xander argues that he came to sleep on the couch and suggests they take their romantic laughfest elsewhere so he can sleep. Sarah explains that she didn't want to sit in the bedroom alone in the dark and says there's nothing romantic about the escaped prisoners. Philip points out that two of them are Xander's old partners Clyde and Orpheus so he asks if Xander knows anything about it.

Clyde warns Ben not to do anything stupid and says Vincent is already in jail so he should just let the justice system do it's job. Ben points out that Clyde just offered to take care of him for him and just broke out of prison tonight. Ben doesn't trust the justice system anymore and brings up how they tried to execute him for a crime he didn't commit. Clyde points out that if Ben kills Vincent, he'll be right back on death row and Ciara won't be able to rescue him. Ben doesn't care but Clyde says he does. Clyde tells Ben that he risked busting out of prison to be with him as they are the only family they have left. Clyde asks what else is out there for him except Ben. Ben responds that he has nothing left himself.

Eli and Shawn go over Dr. Rolf being in town meaning Orpheus and Clyde are likely traveling together. Shawn wants to reach out to everyone they have history with after Marlena and Ben. Shawn says he has already sent cars to Kate and Steve and Kayla's. Eli gets a call but there's no news. Lani then arrives and announces she has something.

Claire agrees to help Charlie. Charlie calls her an angel. Claire notes that she's not sure she will be able to get in the building but she will try. Charlie says that's all he can ask for and hangs up.

Jan tells Belle that she wants to give Claire the crystal. Belle says she's not here so Jan says she will wait. Belle offers to give it to her but Jan doesn't believe her. Belle tells her that Claire doesn't need her gifts or her friendship. Jan responds that Claire is an adult so it should be up to her. Belle insists that Jan is not Claire's friend. Jan asks why she is so threatened by her. Belle brings up Jan kidnapping Shawn and locking him in cage for weeks, trying to electrocute Victor, and then trying to blow up their graduating class. Belle calls Jan a psychopath. Jan remarks that she's surprised Belle would say that when her own daughter dealt with mental illness. Jan says she got help just like Claire did and that's why they understand each other. Belle argues that Jan is preying on her. Jan feels Belle is jealous that Claire can turn to her and they have so much in common. Belle points out that Jan is like 20 years older than Claire so her friendship with her is completely inappropriate. Jan responds that what is inappropriate is Belle's relationship with Philip.

Xander tells Sarah and Philip that this is the first he is hearing of the prison break. Xander says he hasn't heard from Orpheus or Clyde in years. Sarah questions Xander knowing Orpheus and being friends with him. Xander says he wouldn't say friends. Philip questions Sarah not hearing about that part of Xander's life. Sarah asks Xander why he never mentioned this when Orpheus kidnapped her mother. Sarah asks how he even knows him. Xander calls it a long story. Philip explains that back when Xander was in prison, he and his buddies broke out and terrorized the whole town. Xander threatens to shut Philip's mouth.

Clyde tells Ben that Ciara risked everything to save him from death row so she wouldn't want him to throw his life away. Ben questions what life, arguing that Ciara was all that was good in his life and now she's gone because of him. Ben says Eve and Vincent wanted to punish him for what he did to Paige and Wendy so now Ciara is gone because of him. Clyde argues that all killing Vincent will do is get Ben dead. Clyde tells Ben that if he wants to honor Ciara, he should be the man she wanted him to become and live the life she wanted him to live.

Lani shows Shawn and Eli the security footage from the DiMera Mansion which means they might be able to see Dr. Rolf escaping. Eli still doesn't understand how Dr. Rolf got himself untied. Lani guesses they are about to find out.

Sarah separates Philip and Xander. Xander continues to complain about Philip and wants to go to bed with Sarah. Sarah tells Xander to stay on the couch. Philip suggests begging for forgiveness but Xander refuses to apologize to him. Xander adds that he won't sleep on the couch while there are dangerous criminals around so he will sleep in the bed with the woman he loves. Sarah says she is exhausted so if sleeping in the bed means he stops making such a fuss then fine.

Belle tells Jan that Philip is her client and there is nothing inappropriate about their relationship. Jan argues that they both know it's so much more than that, bringing up that Philip is Belle's ex-husband, former business partner, and the guy she cheated on Shawn with multiple times. Belle refuses to have this conversation with her. Jan says she's just pointing out that it's not like Belle and Shawn are married so she can still have Philip and maybe she still wants him. Jan suggests that's why Belle is waiting so long to make it official with Shawn. Belle stops her and says she is not interested in Philip which Jan questions. Belle says she feels sorry for Jan for having this sick obsession with Shawn. Belle tells Jan that she needs to face the truth that even if she and Shawn didn't work out, Shawn would never want to be with Jan.

Lani, Eli, and Shawn are shocked to find the DiMera security footage is blank. They guess Rolf must have erased it and known his way around their security system. Lani says now they are back to square one. Shawn mentions trying to get a hold of Belle during the blackout. Shawn then sees a missed call from Belle and a notification from his doorbell security camera from 30 minutes ago. Shawn finds out that Jan Spears is at his house and says he has to go as he rushes out of the police station.

Belle says Jan keeps talking about being healthy, better, and healed but she snuck in her house in the middle of the night. Jan says she cares very deeply about Claire and has never had a friend like her. Belle tells Jan that she's never had a real relationship and never willl as long as she's living in this fantasy world. Belle declares that Shawn does not love Jan, he never will love her, and doesn't even like her after everything she's done. Belle adds that Shawn hates Jan. Jan then screams at Belle to stop and not say another word.

Claire gets to the Titan office but can't get the door open for Charlie.

Jan raises the crystal at Belle until Shawn rushes in and questions what is going on here. Jan says she was just dropping off a gift for Claire. Shawn questions doing it at this hour. Jan complains that Belle is so hateful. Belle says Jan is mad because she told her that Shawn hates her. Shawn questions that surprising her. Jan argues that he doesn't after what they've shared. Shawn tells Jan that's enough as he has a blackout to deal with so she needs to leave now.

Eli tells Lani that she needs to go home as she's been up for 24 hours and that's not good for her or the babies. Lani assures that the babies are fine and asks how she's supposed to go home when she doesn't know if her family and friends are okay. Eli points out that the entire force is on this so they can manage. Lani keeps thinking she's missing something or someone who has to know one of the prisoners. Lani brings up Dr. Rolf being on Kristen's payroll for years and wonders if she knows something so she's going to go down to her cell. Eli stops her and says she can't do that.

Clyde tells Ben that if Ciara knew what he was doing, she would kick his ass. Clyde orders Ben to do the right thing, get rid of the gun and move on with his life. Ben questions Clyde lecturing him about doing the right thing. Clyde declares the lecture is over as there's somewhere he has to be. Ben asks where he has to go. Clyde tells him there's something he has to do. Ben asks if it's a drug deal or kidnapping. Clyde tells Ben it's nothing for him to worry about. Clyde acknowledges that he was a lousy dad to Ben but somehow he found a way to rise above and be happy with Ciara. Clyde knows Ben is a changed man because of that love so he's asking him to think long and hard before he does something that he will regret for the rest of his life.

Claire continues trying to open the door for Charlie and eventually they get it open. Claire says it's a good thing he had her number. Charlie says this wasn't exactly what he had in mind. Claire is glad she could help. Charlie asks Claire if she wants to go to dinner with him sometime and says that he owes her one if she's interested. Claire agrees that dinner sounds good.

Xander wants Sarah to come to bed but Sarah says she only said Xander could sleep in the bed but she will stay with Philip until the lights come back on. Xander pulls her aside and questions why she's doing this and says they've been through a lot worse. Sarah complains that it's one thing after another and she won't tolerate being treated like she belongs to him and can't have a friendship with another man. Xander says a friendship with another man would be fine but that Philip just wants to jump her bones. Sarah declares this conversation over. Philip tells Xander not to worry as he will take good care of Sarah.

Jan just wants to talk. Shawn threatens to throw her out so Jan agrees to leave. Jan guesses she will see Belle and Philip in court. Belle confirms that she will. Jan remarks that Belle will fight her heart out for Philip after everything they've meant to each other and probably still do. Shawn tells Jan to get out. Jan asks if she hit a nerve. Belle tells Jan to take her crystal back so she does. Jan comments that they will need to clear the negativity and she was just trying to do something nice as she storms out. Shawn questions what Jan really wants. Belle wishes she knew.

Claire asks Charlie if they should go now that she rescued him. Charlie wishes but he has a project due tomorrow. Claire points out that it's after midnight and there's no electricity so Philip and Xander will understand. Charlie tells her this job is everything to him and that last week an intern got fired for bringing the wrong latte so he has to stay, even if it's by finishing with his phone light when his laptop dies. Charlie tells Claire that he'll be in touch about dinner. Claire tells him not to let the door close as she exits.

Philip questions Xander objecting to him treating Sarah with respect. Xander objects to him using her as a pawn to get him out of Titan. Sarah asks if she's stupid. Xander says that's not what he meant. Sarah says goodnight to Xander and hopes he wakes up a little less paranoid in the morning. Xander then exits the room.

Lani questions Eli not wanting her to see Kristen. Eli tells Lani that Kristen is in a cell so there's no way Dr. Rolf could have contacted her and even if he did, she wouldn't talk to him because it would add time to her sentence. Lani insists there must be something she can do. Eli suggests going through tips that have been called in. Lani feels they are always a waste of time but she comes across someone saying they saw Clyde in the town square and Salem Inn about an hour ago. She asks if Eli is sure that Ben was telling him the truth about his dad. Eli says he didn't search the place but Ben seemed pretty convincing and he felt for him with Ciara's memorial coming up. Lani asks if he's sure Ben wasn't playing him. Eli decides to go back and check on him.

Ben tells Clyde that he wants Vincent dead. Clyde asks Ben to promise to sleep on it before making any decision which Ben agrees to. Clyde promises to check on Ben in the morning. Clyde says goodnight and then exits the room.

Shawn holds Belle at home and says nothing is more important to him than her and Claire. Shawn wonders what Jan is up to now...

Jan walks out of the town square with her crystal in her hand as she thinks back to Belle telling her that Shawn will never love her and that he hates her. Jan imagines smashing Belle's head in with the crystal. Jan says not to dare tell her that she'll never be with Shawn..
