Marlena tells John that she wants justice as much as he does but she doesn't want to see it cost John his friendship with Steve. John responds that it will be up to Steve. Marlena suggests giving them both time to cool down. Marlena knows John wants to go home but John says they have one stop to make first.

Tripp returns home. Steve says he's sorry about what happened with Kayla before. Tripp says it's not his fault and asks where Kayla is. Steve says she had to go out. Tripp asks if it's so she wouldn't be under the same roof as a rapist. Tripp tells Steve not to make excuses as it's obvious what Kayla thinks of him and it's the same thing the whole town thinks of him, except for Steve. Tripp heads to his room while Steve pulls out Tripp's toothbrush.

Kayla gets DNA from Henry. Nicole says after they compare it to Tripp's, they will know for sure. Allie remarks that she already knows for sure and after the test results come back, Tripp will never be able to deny what he did to her again.

Sarah complains while trying to clean the wine stain off of her dress. Xander wants to help but Sarah tells him that he's done enough after making the big scene for no reason. Xander argues that Philip was coming on to her. Sarah says he wasn't but even if he was, she could handle herself. Sarah suggests he go find stronger stain remover but Xander decides he can help her out of the dress instead.

Philip makes a call and says he pushed Xander's buttons and got exactly the reaction he was hoping for. Philip says it was almost too easy and he almost lost his mind. Philip knows if he keeps poking, Xander will eventually do something really stupid and Victor will fire him once and for all. Brady then walks in the room so Philip puts the phone down. Philip asks what he's doing here. Brady responds that he needs to see Victor right away. Philip suggests he make an appointment but Brady says this is a matter of life and death so he demands to know where Victor is.

Sarah tells Xander that looking sexy won't work on her and says he was a colossal jerk. Xander apologizes for overreacting. Sarah argues that he acted like a caveman and ruined her dress. Xander asks what he can do to make it up to her. Sarah tells him to go downstairs and apologize to Philip.

John tells Marlena that they have to make an important stop. Marlena points out that he hasn't fully recovered and his hand is banged up so she suggests he stay in the hospital another few days. John argues that he doesn't need a babysitter. Marlena doesn't want him to go to Steve's and pick a fight. John says that's not what he intends to do. Marlena asks what he does intend to do. John says when they get out of the hospital, he will show her.

Kayla returns home and informs Steve that Allie let her take a sample from the baby and she has it in her bag. Kayla notes that Allie is so sure this will prove that Tripp is the father of her baby while Steve points out that Tripp remains adamant that he's not. Steve adds that Tripp went to bed early. Steve tells Kayla that he didn't tell her about stealing his toothbrush for the DNA test but Kayla says maybe they should.

Xander refuses to apologize to Philip. Sarah points out that he just said he would do anything for her but Xander says not that. Xander doesn't want to talk to or about Philip. Xander wants to focus on Sarah but she says she's not sleeping with him. Xander tells her that if she's withholding sex as punishment then he will lay in bed and not touch her. Sarah then responds that he will be sleeping in the guest room.

Philip asks what Brady is talking about. Brady tells him that Kristen was arrested for stabbing Victor. Philip says he saw the news that she confessed. Brady calls it a long and infuriating story but she's being sentenced tomorrow so if Victor doesn't do something, Kristen won't see her daughter for a very long time if ever. Philip argues that Victor doesn't have to do anything and questions why he would go out on a limb for the woman who tried to murder him. Philip remarks that he thinks Kristen should pay for what she did.

John brings Marlena to the Brady Pub. She questions him really needing a burger at this hour. John says the hospital food sucks. Marlena thinks he needs to be home in bed. Marlena then turns around and sees that the Brady Pub is closed which annoys John. Marlena realizes this is about more than a burger. John says he just wants to be normal again and for things to go back to the way it used to be so he thought maybe having a beer and a burger at his favorite Pub with Marlena would get him there but he guesses it wasn't meant to be. Marlena says not so fast and goes to see what she can do. Marlena heads in to the Pub and tells Roman that she knows the Pub is closed. Roman informs her that it's poker night and asks if everything is okay. Marlena says things are fine but an old friend of his was really wanting one of his Brady Burgers so she thought maybe he would stay open for a minute longer. John then enters the Pub. Roman exclaims that it's good to see him out of the hospital. John responds that he just got out and wanted to make the Pub his #1 stop. Roman then questions what happened to John's hand. John says he had a little disagreement with Steve and Tripp. Roman guesses it was more than a little. John says things just got intense. Roman asks what it was about.

Steve tells Kayla that they aren't telling Tripp anything after how angry he got when she suggested a DNA test so he doesn't want to upset him anymore, especially when he feels he's the only one who believes him. Kayla asks how Tripp will feel when he finds out what they did. Steve thinks all will be forgiven when the results come back and he is vindicated. Kayla argues that he doesn't know that will happen. Kayla says no matter how it turns out, she doesn't like the deception as it feels so wrong. Tripp then comes out of his room and asks what's wrong and what's going on.

John guesses Kayla hasn't filled Roman in on what's going on between he and Steve. Marlena calls it nothing and claims it was just an argument. Roman points out that John said it was also with Tripp. Marlena claims he just meant that Tripp was there is all. Roman guesses that it's none of his business and goes to get their burgers. John questions why Marlena wouldn't let him tell Roman why he and Steve were fighting. Marlena informs him that Roman doesn't know what happened to Allie. John argues that he should know because Allie is his granddaughter. Marlena feels it's not up to them to tell him, it's up to Allie if she wants to. Marlena brings up how hurt Allie is and how traumatized she is by what happened. Marlena adds that Allie is ashamed that she doesn't remember that night. John questions what she has to be ashamed about and complains that her life will never be the same because of Tripp. Marlena tries to keep John quiet while he shouts that the one person who should be ashamed is Tripp.

Nicole puts Henry back to sleep and goes back to tell Allie. Nicole then asks Allie what's wrong. Allie says it's just the DNA test. Nicole asks if she's having second thoughts. Allie insists that she wants the truth to come out but she doesn't know why Tripp does or why he would agree to this. Nicole states that Kayla said Steve thinks it will clear him but Allie argues that they both know it won't. Allie questions why Tripp would go along with the test results proving he's a rapist.

Kayla tells Tripp that what is so wrong is Steve and John being at odds. Tripp agrees and he's sorry Steve has to deal with it. Steve assures he and John will work things out eventually. Steve thought Tripp was going to bed. Tripp says that he was but he can't find his toothbrush...

Xander asks Sarah if she can try to see from his perspective how he comes home from a long day at work to find her having a romantic dinner with his cousin, who he detests, with candles, wine, and flowers. Sarah tells him that she set it all up for him and then he said he wasn't going to be home for a couple hours. Xander says he finished up quicker than expected and wanted to surprise her. Sarah says she never would've asked Philip to join her if she knew. Xander asks if they can just put it all behind them and go to bed. Xander promises not to make any moves as he just wants to be close to her. Xander removes his shirt but Sarah insists that he's going to the guest room and she's not changing her mind.

Brady says Philip is still a heartless Kiriakis. Philip says he does feel sorry for Brady thinking he lost his child but he was devastated to think he lost his dad. Brady points out that Philip didn't even bother to come see Victor after he was stabbed. Philip says they are on better terms now. Brady says that's because Philip strong-armed him to putting him half in charge of Titan. Brady reminds Philip of when they were co-CEOs back in the day and now Victor is doing it again with Philip and Xander. Brady argues that Philip has to be sick of Victor constantly manipulating their lives and not caring who goes to prison. Brady adds that Philip has to play ball to stay on Victor's good side because that's the only way he's going to get Xander fired. Philip questions him but Brady reveals that he heard him on the phone when he came in so he obviously has something up his sleeve. Brady asks Philip who his accomplice is and who he was secretly on the phone with.

Xander questions Sarah being serious about him sleeping in the guest room. Sarah tells him to think about what happened tonight and then he can thank her for being smart. Xander asks if she was just playing nice tonight. Sarah says Philip lives there and they are running Titan together so he needs to make himself look good to Victor. Sarah brings up Xander thinking Victor would always take Philip's side because he's his son but that Victor would never let Philip destroy Titan. Sarah says they both know that Philip is incompetent and that Xander should be running the company by himself. Sarah encourages Xander to let Philip fail while staying in Victor's good graces by playing nice. Sarah says she started tonight by getting to know Philip a little better. Xander still complains about having to spend all day with Philip and then coming home to seeing him with his woman when all he wants is time alone with her. Sarah says she wants time alone too and tells him to enjoy the guest room. Xander jokes that she's going to miss his arms around her tonight as he then exits the room.

Philip tells Brady that he was just on the phone with a business associate. Brady questions if they have it in for Xander too. Philip says it's none of his business. Brady threatens to make it his business by going to Xander to give him a heads up that he wants him out. Philip asks why he would do that. Brady points out that Philip is being a heartless bastard and won't help him keep Kristen out of prison. Xander then walks in and says he has something to say to Philip so he asks Brady to leave them alone.

Marlena tells John that she knows Allie was a victim of a terrible crime. John argues that everyone knows that except Steve, who refuses to see the truth. John gets angry and calls Tripp a liar. Marlena decides they are leaving the Pub but John insists he will calm down. Roman comes back and says the burgers are about ready but asks if John is okay. John claims that he is. Roman suggests getting his hand checked out at the hospital but John refuses to go back to the hospital. Marlena says he's just been through a lot lately. John apologizes to Roman and says the aneurysm has changed him but they hope it's temporary. John says he just needs a good meal and a night at home with his wife.

Nicole agrees with Allie that it's strange that Tripp agreed to the DNA test unless Tripp believes he's telling the truth. Nicole says she's read about people who tell their fake version of events until they start to believe their own lie. Nicole adds that if that's the case, the test results might be a shock to him. Allie declares it will finally prove that she's been telling the truth this entire time and she won't have to live her life ashamed of something that wasn't her fault.

Tripp says he could've sworn his toothbrush was there this morning but it's gone now. Kayla claims she was cleaning the bathroom earlier and might have thrown it out but there are extras in the closet. Tripp then goes to get one but Kayla stops him to tell him that she's sorry that things are tense between them. Kayla says she cares about him and doesn't want them to be on bad terms. Tripp says they all want things to be better but that's easier said than done. Kayla offers to talk about it to clear the air. Tripp continues to refuse the DNA test. Kayla says she just wants the truth to come out. Tripp argues that he's already told the truth over and over again but she just doesn't believe him.

Allie asks Nicole how long it will take to get the DNA test results. Nicole hopes she will have answers tomorrow. Allie points out that Ciara's memorial is tomorrow. Allie talks about how happy and in love Ciara was a few months ago. Allie says it's so sad to think Ben and Ciara's life together just started and now it's already over and Ben's all alone. Nicole says that is why they have to remind themselves not to take each other for granted and to tell the people they love, how much they mean to them. Allie asks how Nicole handles being so far apart from the man she loves.

John and Marlena finish their meal. John calls it still the best burger around and thanks Roman for staying open. They joke together. Roman says it's on him but John insists on paying for it. Roman tells John to take care of his hand as he heads to the back. Marlena asks John if his hand hurts. John says it's nothing he can't handle. Marlena tells him that he doesn't have to suffer since they can pick up painkillers on the way home. John says if Kayla let him leave the hospital, he's sure that just being with Marlena is the best medicine ever.

Philip tells Brady that Victor is upstairs and it's getting late so if he needs to talk to him, he should go. Brady says not before he says something to Xander. Brady tells Xander that because of he and Victor, Kristen is going to prison. Xander says he has expressed his regret many times. Brady regrets wasting time and says that's all he's doing here so he goes to talk to Victor. Philip asks what's on Xander's mind and if Sarah kicked him out of bed. Xander responds that his relationship with Sarah is none of his business. Philip claims that Sarah made him involved and likes to confide in him about Xander's behavior. Xander says he was really considering apologizing to him but now he is reminded of what a total jerk he is. Philip argues that Xander came at him like a rabid animal. Xander warns about him continuing to go after Sarah. Philip says they are just friends and he did nothing wrong. Philip adds that Sarah apologized to him for Xander's behavior and that he made her pretty mad. Xander claims they worked things out and everything is fine. Xander says Philip may think he's her friend but Sarah only feels pity for him because he's a loser and a failure in every way. Philip tells him to get out of his sight. Xander responds that he won't take any of his crap and warns that he will regret it if he catches him moving in on Sarah again. Philip remarks that Xander can't be that secure in Sarah's love if he's that threatened by his friendship with her. Philip guesses Xander is starting to realize he's way out of his league.

Allie knows Nicole and Holly talk to Eric as often as they can but it's obviously not the same as being together. Nicole admits that it's not but she insisted Eric go because she knew he had to. Nicole adds that it is hard being apart. Allie can't believe how selfish she's been when Nicole let her move in and helped take care of her baby. Allie feels she's been so wrapped up in herself that she hasn't done anything for Nicole. Nicole responds that she and Henry have given her more than she knows. Nicole tells Allie that she inspires her with her strength and Henry's smile brings her joy. Nicole says Holly misses Eric too but having Allie and Henry there helps since they'd be lonely without them. Henry then wakes up crying. Nicole offers to take care of him but Allie decides this time she really wants to.

Steve tells Kayla that he almost thought she was going to tell Tripp about the DNA test. Kayla says she could tell Steve didn't want her to and she gets that Tripp is still upset with her so telling him would make things worse. Steve thanks her for understanding. Kayla says she just can't envision a good outcome here. Kayla says Steve and Tripp believe Tripp is not Henry's father while Allie is so sure that the DNA test will prove the baby is his. Steve asks what she thinks. Kayla thinks the answer is in the test and whatever the results are, people they love will be devastated.

Brady runs in to Sarah upstairs. Sarah asks what has him upset. Brady tells her it was running in to Xander downstairs and says he doesn't know why Sarah bothered to get back with him. Sarah remarks that she sometimes asks herself the same thing.

Xander tells Philip he won't give him a response but he can only wish to experience the love he and Sarah feel for each other. Philip says love and passion can be eroded quickly with anger and disgust which is how Sarah is feeling since Xander won't apologize. Xander tells Philip to go to Hell and storms out as Philip warns that if he makes too many mistakes, he will lose Sarah.

John suggests he and Marlena walk slowly back home. Marlena gets a call from an unknown caller. She answers but they hang up. Marlena wonders if her assistant gave her number to a patient. John says that can wait until tomorrow because tonight, he just wants to hold her all night long.

Allie holds Henry in the living room while Nicole watches. Nicole knows Allie said she has a hard time being around Henry so she asks if it's getting any easier. Allie admits every time she looks at him, she still thinks about what Tripp did to her. Allie guesses now that she knows the truth is coming out, she feels it is making it easier because everyone she loves will know that it wasn't her fault or Henry's. Allie remarks that no matter how much of a monster his father is, he still has her.

Kayla tells Steve that she's going to take the samples to the lab and put a rush on them so hopefully they will get the answers tomorrow then they will have to figure out how to deal with this. Steve tells Kayla that he loves her as she exits.
