Days of Our Lives Update Wednesday 10/7/20

Tripp swears to Justin that he didn't do anything and was just trying to help her. Justin warns that if he's charged, this will be a long and nasty process. Tripp brings up Allie trying to say it's his kid and this can't be happening. Justin asks him what went down in detail. Tripp says that nothing happened. Tripp declares that he can't take this and has to get out so he rushes out of the room.

Allie tells Claire that Tripp just held her down and didn't listen when she said no. Claire asks if he was drunk. Allie says she doesn't know but they did come from a club so she assume he was too. Claire states there is no excuse for rape. Claire tells her that she's so sorry. Claire suggests Allie find someone to talk to now that she's reported it. Allie realizes she left Nicole with the baby and lost track of time. Claire tells her that she's there if she wants to talk more. Allie thanks her and says she'll remember that as they hug. Allie then walks away.

Philip calls Victor and says he just wanted to report that it was Xander who put Jan up to having him arrested. Philip then transfers the call to Xander and informs him that Victor wants to have a word with him. Xander answers the call from Victor, who questions what he has to say for himself in regards to orchestrating the mess with Jan Spears.

Charlie walks through the town square but drops his money. He gets down to pick it up when Claire walks by and trips over him, dropping her coffee onto Charlie's new shirt. Claire apologizes but Charlie says it's okay as they get up and look at each other.

Kayla is on the phone at the hospital, talking about watching Tripp grow and how he'd be a good fit. Kayla hangs up and sees Nicole with Henry so she asks if everything is okay. Nicole tells her that Henry just had a check up and is doing great. Nicole adds that she couldn't help but overhear the end of Kayla's phone call. Kayla explains that Tripp wants to transfer here and put her as one of his references. Kayla asks if something is bothering her. Nicole responds that there is something she doesn't know about Tripp.

Steve joins Justin in the interrogation room and says he was told Tripp was in there. Justin informs him that Lani was interviewing him but he shut that down and then Tripp stormed out. Justin tells Steve that this isn't good. Steve says if Tripp has been charged with a crime, he needs to know what it is. Justin clarifies that he hasn't been charged yet but Allie Horton made a statement to the police saying that Tripp raped her.

Allie goes home and finds a note from Nicole that she went out with the baby. Tripp then shows up at the door. Allie tells him that she's not letting him in. Tripp says all the neighbors can hear what he has to say then so she does let him in. Tripp questions why Allie told the cops that he raped her. Allie says because he did.

Kayla assumes Nicole is going to tell her about Tripp and Allie meeting in London. Nicole responds that they didn't just meet in London. Kayla adds that she also knows there is a chance that Tripp is Henry's father since Steve talked to him. Nicole informs her that Allie is 100% sure that Tripp is his father. Kayla brings up that Tripp hadn't spoken to her since and didn't even know she was pregnant. Kayla says if Tripp is Henry's father, he will step up and take responsibility. Nicole says it's more complicated than that. Kayla asks what she is getting at. Nicole informs Kayla that Allie spoke to the police today. Kayla questions what the police have to do with it.

Steve says this has to be a mistake because Tripp told him all about the night he met Allie at a club and assured that he did not sleep with her, let alone rape her. Justin notes that Tripp told him the same thing but then took off. Steve wonders where he went.

Tripp tells Allie that there is no way that he raped her. Allie brings up Tripp being at the club and asking her to dance. Tripp says he left her alone until she asked to dance later. Tripp explains that he volunteered to take her home because she was so wasted. Tripp questions why she is making a big deal about this now, a year later. Allie says she just remembered what he did. Tripp argues that she was so wasted, she could barely give the cab driver her address, so he questions how she could possibly remember anything else about that night. Tripp insists that he did not take advantage of her and they never had sex but Allie doesn't believe him. Tripp tells her that he liked her and adds that he left his name and number then went home. Allie says she never got that note and questions how she got pregnant then. Tripp says it must have been another guy but Allie says there was no other guy and that she didn't have sex with anyone except when Tripp raped her. Tripp argues that's not what happened. Allie admits she was drunk and doesn't remember everything from that night but she does remember Tripp on top of her and holding her down while she yelled for him to stop but he didn't.

Kayla questions Nicole saying that Allie told the police that Tripp raped her after all this time. Nicole adds that Allie admits she had too much to drink that night but her memories just came back and she knows she was in no state to give consent to having sex. Nicole says that Allie remembers telling Tripp to stop and him holding her down. Kayla questions when these memories came back. Henry wakes up crying so Nicole says that is all she has to say since she needs to get Henry back to his mother as she exits.

Steve calls Tripp and leaves a message for him to call him back immediately. Steve tells Justin that this is wrong and he knows Tripp was telling him the truth about the night he met Allie and that he would never do this to a woman. Justin warns that this is not going away since the police are in on it now. Steve argues that if they had any proof, they wouldn't have let him leave. Justin says they don't know what they have other than Allie's statement. Steve suggests Justin find out from the district attorney. Steve asks if Justin is Tripp's lawyer. Justin says he agreed to meet Tripp but he had no idea what this was about. Justin brings up that Will is his son in law and Allie is Will's sister. Steve brings up that Tripp is he and Adrienne's nephew and he needs a good lawyer. Justin notes that the case could get moved to a court in London. Justin agrees to get a copy of Allie's statement and go from there.

Claire tells Charlie that she owes him a new shirt. Charlie mentions that it was a new shirt. Claire wants to make it up to him but Charlie tells her not to worry. Charlie adds that he has other new shirts since this is the second time today this has happened. Charlie mentions just starting a new job today and his two bosses hate each other then he ended up with a smoothie on him then he got money to buy new shirts. Claire asks where he works. Charlie tells her it's at Titan so Claire realizes his two bosses are Philip and Xander. Charlie questions how she knows. Claire informs him that she is related to them.

Xander tells Victor that he may have misunderstood the situation. Victor thought Xander had grown up enough to share authority but he was obviously wrong. Victor orders Xander to clean out his desk and get out of the building. Xander can't believe Victor is firing him over this. Victor declares that he gave him a chance and he blew it so now he's going to have his son run Titan as he sees fit. Xander argues that he can't do this to him. Victor says he just did and warns him not to hire a homicidal maniac like Jan Spears. Victor hangs up and then Jan enters the living room, warning Victor to watch who he is calling a homicidal maniac. Victor questions how the hell she got in. Jan tells him that she told Henderson that Xander wanted to see her. Jan asks if Xander is here. Victor informs her that Xander is cleaning out his desk as they speak so she won't be able to come in and finish what she started all those years ago. Jan remarks that the world doesn't revolve around him and his money and that she's not the same girl he used to know.

Claire informs Charlie that Victor is her great-grandfather and he is Philip's father and Xander's uncle. Claire then introduces herself and apologizes for ruining his brand new shirt. Charlie asks if she has any advice on how to climb the corporate ladder in her family's business. Claire questions if he's sure he really wants to do that. Charlie asks why he wouldn't. Claire says from what she's heard, most days the sharks at Titan are out for blood.

Philip argues to Xander that Jan Spears tried to blow up a bunch of people 8 months ago and that he and Belle were two of those people. Philip says he threatened Jan because she planned on making friends with Belle's daughter. Xander says he didn't hear any of that. Philip says Xander made a rookie mistake trying to get him in trouble with the cops. Philip tells Xander that Charlie can help Xander move his desk and then he can stay out of the company. Xander warns Philip that he will end up very sorry for doing this to him.

Steve goes to Kayla's office and asks if she's seen Tripp because he's not answering his phone and he doesn't know where he is. Steve informs Kayla that he was just at the police station and she won't believe what's happening. Kayla mentions that Nicole told her about Allie saying Tripp raped her.

Tripp tells Allie that he obviously doesn't know everything that happened that night. Allie accuses him of being wasted but Tripp says he wasn't and he just doesn't know what happened to her after he left. Allie says after he left, she fell asleep then woke up in the middle of the night and she knew what he did to her. Tripp insists that he didn't do anything but help her in to bed. Allie accuses him of taking her clothes off and taking advantage of her. Tripp assures that he would never do that and questions why he would want to have sex with her while she was wasted. Allie calls him disgusting and tells him to get out. Tripp refuses to go anywhere until he makes her see that she's wrong about him. Tripp questions Allie ruining his life over something he didn't do. Allie threatens to call the police. Nicole then walks in and questions what the hell Tripp is doing in this apartment.

Victor tells Jan that she won't fool him and calls her the same girl who tried to electrocute him in a bathtub and who takes orders from other people. Jan says that's not true. Victor brings up Xander talking her in to filing false charges against Philip. Jan argues that the charges were not false because Xander heard Philip threaten to kill her. Jan adds that Xander called her and told her to back off. Victor doesn't believe her so Jan tells him that he can listen to the message himself.

Philip tells Xander that he's called an emergency board meeting to inform the members of the change in leadership and once he does that, Xander's brief tenure as co-CEO of Titan will be officially over and he needs to accept that. Philip adds that if Xander is looking for work, he and Victor won't be references then jokes that he could be the gardener's assistant. Xander warns Philip that he could end up pushing up daisies in that garden. Philip warns him about assault charges and the police then remarks that Xander will be back behind bars where he belongs. Philip then exits the office.

Claire tells Charlie that Titan is not like other companies. Charlie thanks her for the advice and decides he should change his shirt and get back to work so he doesn't get fired or worse. Claire tells him that she warned him. Charlie stops and brings up Claire wanting to make it up to him after spilling her drink on his shirt. Charlie asks if she'd like to go out with him after work for drinks. Claire says not tonight. Charlie apologizes and says he gets it. Claire stops him and assures that it's not him since he made her laugh and forget about the rest of her life for awhile. Charlie says he was going on and on about being an intern that he didn't even ask about her life. Claire says he did nothing wrong. Charlie wants to know. Claire reminds him that he's late for work. Charlie asks if she doesn't want to talk about it. Claire says not the details but there's been a death in her family of someone her age. Claire adds that she just found out something awful about her ex.

Nicole questions what Tripp is doing here. Allie says she tried to have him leave but he wouldn't. Tripp says he just wanted to talk to her and find out why she's lying about him. Nicole warns him to keep it down before he wakes up his son. Tripp responds that there is no way that's his baby. Nicole suggests Allie go put Henry in his crib so she does. Tripp tells Nicole that he's not here to make trouble. Nicole accuses him of barging in where he's not wanted and scaring Allie to death. Tripp tells Nicole that he knows for a fact that he and Allie did not have sex.

Steve tells Kayla that Tripp told him everything that happened the night he met Allie and he knows when one of his kids is telling the truth or not. Steve assures that he believes Tripp and goes over that he said Allie was at the club and had way too much to drink so Tripp just helped her get home. Kayla notes that is not how Nicole tells it as she said that Allie remembers telling Tripp and that he was holding her down. Steve says it's just not true. Kayla calls it disgusting and violent. Steve insists it's not true. Steve questions if Nicole is egging Allie on or something. Steve then stops and asks if Kayla thinks Tripp did this.

Charlie asks Claire if she's sure she doesn't want to talk. Claire says she just always thought of this guy as a good person but found out differently. Charlie comments that she wouldn't have that problem with him and jokes that what you see is what you get. Charlie hopes he's not too pushy as he gives Claire his card. Charlie says that he still really wants to make a name for himself at Titan despite her warning. Claire wishes him luck. Charlie says she knows how to find him if she wants to get together. Charlie then walks away.

Jan lets Victor hear Xander's message to her, trying to convince her not to go to the cops. Jan tells Victor that he shouldn't go after Xander but he should keep his eye on Philip because he was not kidding when he threatened to kill her. Victor says that's how people talk to people who try to blow them up. Jan admits that she liked the idea of Philip being in trouble with the law because Belle would rush to defend him and Shawn would just hate that. Victor asks if that would give her a clear shot at Shawn. Jan doesn't want to talk about her personal life which Victor calls insanity. Jan remarks that he's from a different generation where he's used to mistreating women and getting away with it but those days are over. Jan declares that men like Victor and Philip need to realize you can't threaten to kill a woman without having to answer for it.

Kayla asks Steve if he's sure Tripp told him the whole story. Steve assures that he did as he practically grilled him. Kayla argues that men and women often have different ideas of what no means. Steve questions if she really thinks that Tripp raped Allie and tried to cover it up after how hard he's worked to turn his life around. Kayla brings up that Tripp was fairly dangerous before that. Steve asks if this is about Tripp threatening her with a scalpel. Kayla says Steve can call it threatening while she calls it him having a blade against her jugular. Steve thought she had forgiven Tripp. Kayla says she had. Kayla brings up how she and Tripp were discussing him staying in Salem and he said he was worried what people still thought of him but she told him he didn't need to worry because he had turned his whole life around and was a different person. Kayla informs Steve that Tripp then said maybe he hadn't changed as much as they all hoped. Steve questions what he meant by that. Kayla reveals to Steve that Tripp admitted to her that he had planted evidence to frame Ben for the fire that almost killed Ciara so he was okay with sending an innocent man to prison.

Tripp apologizes to Nicole if she thinks he barged in but assures that he was the sober one that night and he didn't do what Allie thinks he did. Tripp repeats that he helped her home and then left but if the police believe her, it will ruin his life. Tripp says he came back to finish medical school and become a doctor. Tripp adds that he would never force himself on a woman. Tripp doesn't know why Allie is lying but urges Nicole to get her to tell the truth. Allie comes back and says she already did tell the truth. Nicole responds that she knows she did. Tripp questions how she knows that when she wasn't there. Nicole warns Tripp to leave or she will call the police so Tripp exits.

Charlie returns to the Titan offices where Philip informs him that he doesn't work for Xander anymore. Philip orders Charlie to call maintenance to get them up here immediately as he wants all of Xander's stuff dumped in the trash.

Xander goes home to the Kiriakis Mansion and questions what Jan is doing there. Jan says she was just leaving and tells him there's nothing to worry about. Xander asks if Victor is in the living room. Jan says she didn't lay a finger on him though she was tempted. Jan then remarks that from the look in Xander's eye, maybe she's not the one Victor should be worried about. Jan then exits the mansion. Xander heads into the living room and argues that Victor has just been waiting for a reason to throw him out and hand the company over to Philip. Victor comments that he didn't have to wait long. Xander argues that he paid his dues and proven he's loyal a thousand times. Victor brings up Xander trying to stab Philip in the back and then going on about how he's wrongfully treated. Victor states that Xander is not an innocent victim.

Steve tells Kayla that Tripp made a bad call with Ben but he's sure he thought he was protecting Ciara. Kayla suggests Tripp couldn't deal with the fact that Ciara preferred Ben over him so maybe he's a guy that can't take no for an answer. Steve says that Kayla wasn't there when he talked to Tripp. Kayla brings up that Tripp dodged the question when Steve asked if he could be the father of Allie's baby. Steve says that was because Claire came up right after he asked and he didn't want to get into it in front of her. Steve talks about Tripp turning things around in his life and wanting to be a doctor because he admires Kayla so much. Steve questions Kayla not giving Tripp the benefit of the doubt and choosing to believe someone that she hardly knows instead of his son and her stepson. Steve says he can't tell her how much that hurts him.

Tripp finds Claire in the town square. She calls him a son of a bitch.

Nicole tells Allie that she's so proud of her for standing up to the man who raped her with no fear. Allie says she's just thinking about everything he said. Nicole says he had to deny it. Allie says it's not that. Allie states that Tripp seemed so shocked by all of it. Nicole asks if Allie is absolutely sure it was Tripp. Allie states that she remembers him holding her down and she remembers saying no and to stop. Allie says she just thought he was going to say something different like that she wanted it as much as he did but he's just saying nothing happened. Allie questions how he can say that when her son is proof that something happened that night and Tripp is still lying about it.

Kayla tells Steve that she would never want to hurt him but she doesn't understand why Allie would lie. Kayla asks what she could gain by making up such serious charges. Kayla thinks she'd have everything to lose. Steve doesn't know why Allie is saying it but he knows she was very drunk that night and probably has her facts mixed up. Steve adds that all of Tripp's hopes and dreams for his future could go up in smoke because of this lie.

Tripp asks why he's a son of a bitch. Claire responds that she talked to Allie so she knows what he did. Tripp tells her that she has it all wrong. Claire can't believe she used to be in love him and thought he was a good person since he was always so respectful of women. Tripp doesn't know what she is talking about. Claire remarks that she sees him for what he really is now and so will everybody else as she walks away.

Xander tells Victor that he made a big mistake with Jan but he tried to fix it. Victor reveals that he knows because Jan played the message where Xander urged her not to press charges against Philip. Xander asks if she agreed to it. Victor says no because Jan has her own reasons for wanting to prosecute Philip but he's sure Belle won't have any problem getting the charges dropped. Xander remarks that Philip is not the innocent that Victor seems to think he is. Victor says he knows what his son is but he also knows the kind of man that Xander has become. Victor admits he may have been a bit hasty in letting Xander go so he's going to give him another chance but he strongly suggests he work with Philip and think about something besides himself like what's best for the family and the company.

Philip makes a call and tells someone that Xander was fired today and the board just signed off on it so there's no one to stand in the way of their plans for Titan...
