Tripp tells Steve that he's not the father of Allie's baby because he never slept with her. Steve questions him but Tripp assures that he didn't. Tripp asks if Steve thinks he's lying.

Nicole introduces Lani to Allie. Nicole says Allie has something she needs to talk to her about but she didn't feel comfortable coming to the police station. Lani sits next to her and asks what's going on. Allie reveals that she wants to report a rape. Lani asks who the victim is. Allie responds that she was raped.

Melinda tells Eli that other than this, she believes Lani is a good cop so she'd much rather put Kristen away than Lani. Eli asks what she wants him to do. Melinda wants undeniable proof that Kristen DiMera is guilty, something that will put her away for life. Melinda declares that if Eli gets her that, she'll drop the entire investigation into Lani. Melinda brings up Eli arresting Kristen so he knows as well as anyone the things she has done so it's not fabricating a case. Melinda remarks that it would be a shame if Lani gave birth to Eli's children in prison. Eli argues that she's making it sound simple when it's not. Melinda says they either have a deal or they don't.

Kayla goes to the Brady Pub. Roman questions what she's doing here at this time of day. Kayla says her first appointment was cancelled and she hadn't seen him in a long time. Roman says she can help him decorate for Halloween. Kayla notes that he doesn't sound too excited about it. Roman talks about how Eric was supposed to help him. Roman feels like he's using family left and right with Eric, Sami, and Will all leaving town. Roman adds that at least they know they'll be back some time or they can visit but the worst and saddest is losing Ciara.

Ben and Hope go back to the police station to see Vincent. Vincent declares that he will tell them everything they want to know. Hope suggests Ben wait in her office and she will fill him in after his statement but Ben refuses to go anywhere. Vincent agrees to let Ben stay. Hope asks Vincent if Ciara was in the car when it exploded or if she is still alive.

Steve tells Tripp that he's not saying he's lying but the timing works out since he met Allie in December and 8 months later, she had a baby. Tripp assures that he didn't have sex with her so there is no way he got her pregnant. Steve asks what did happen between them then. Tripp says it wasn't a whole lot so he's actually surprised she remembers him.

Lani wants to make sure to take down Allie's statement correctly so she will need to take a few notes. Lani asks when the rape was. Allie informs her that it was last December. Lani says they can still prosecute the man who raped her and asks what she can tell her about him. Lani asks if she knew him or if he was a stranger. Allie says she met him that night so Lani asks for his name. Allie informs her that it's Tripp Dalton.

Vincent says in order to explain what happened, he needs to back up. Hope tells him to just start talking. Vincent explains that he took Ciara to Wendy's house with every intention of doing to Ben's wife what Ben had done to Wendy. Vincent adds that he prepared to inject Ciara with a drug to make her more docile but then she fought back and managed to stab him with his own syringe. Vincent says he still manage to subdue her and stop her from running away but then the drug started to affect his mind and he became confused as he thought Ciara was Wendy. Vincent talks about deciding to drive to the air field so they could go away together but as they got to the gate, he saw the wedding rings in her hands and was hit with the painful truth again that Ciara was in the car with him but his Wendy was gone forever. Vincent declares that he couldn't let Ciara make her way back to Ben so he picked up his gun and shot her.

Tripp explains to Steve that he went to London with some guys from med school and they decided to stay in the night they got there but he was wide awake so he went to the club. Tripp talks about meeting Allie and how she didn't mention her last name so he had no idea of knowing she was Kayla's niece. Tripp says he asked Allie to dance but she said she didn't like the song and he figured she was just playing hard to get.

Lani recognizes Tripp Dalton as Steve's son. Allie explains that she didn't know that at the time. Lani asks where she met him. Allie says it was at a club and then they went back to her flat in London. Lani asks if that's where this happened. Nicole asks if that's a problem. Lani points out that it's outside of the U.S. jurisdiction. Allie asks if that means he's going to get away with this.

Melinda offers to remind Eli what she has on Lani. Eli says that's not necessary. Melinda points out that the security footage directly implicates Lani and also implies that she knew Kristen fled to Paris since Brady flew straight there after. Eli argues there's no concrete proof of that but Melinda feels she has enough to bring to a grand jury. Melinda adds that she also found out more, like when exactly Eli knew that Kristen was back in town. Eli asks why that matters since he arrested Kristen one day after she came back to town. Melinda questions how he knew it was only one day later. Melinda guesses he got that information from Lani but not willingly. Melinda says that Eli knew that Lani knew when Kristen was arriving in town and also that Lani didn't lift a finger to take her into custody so he waited a day then did it himself.

Ben questions Vincent shooting Ciara. Vincent states that Ben shot Wendy so he made this happen to Ciara. Hope asks if Ciara is alive. Vincent says no and she never knew of the explosion. Ben then grabs Vincent and accuses him of lying, demanding that he admit it.

Steve asks Tripp if that was the last he saw of Allie. Tripp says he lost track of her for an hour or so but then saw her again so he asked her to dance again and this time she agreed but it was pretty obvious that she had gotten pretty wasted since he last saw her. Tripp says he offered to take her back to her place instead. Tripp assures that he was not drunk, just exhausted, so they took a cab back to her place where he helped her inside. Tripp says she put on music and tried to dance but was stumbling all over the place. Tripp says that Allie kissed him but then he realized he was holding her up so he put her in bed, left a note with his name and number, and hoped that she would call him the next day but she never did and he never heard from her or saw her again until he ran in to her here. Tripp tells Steve that Allie looked at him like she hated him and slapped him across the face which Steve questions. Tripp responds that he has no clue.

Lani tells Allie that she should've reported this in London. Allie questions if this is it and calls it a huge mistake, saying to forget the whole thing. Nicole argues that there must be something they can do. Lani agrees to take down all the information and bring it to the district attorney to see what the next step is but she can't guarantee that it will be out of their jurisdiction. Allie asks what to do. Nicole doesn't think Allie has anything to lose by telling Lani her story so Lani can get the ball rolling and she can feel like she fought back. Lani thinks that's good advice and asks if Allie wants to proceed. Allie guesses that she does so Lani tells her to start from the beginning with everything she remembers.

Melinda argues that if she throws Lani in front of a grand jury, she will have to answer their questions about Kristen so they will indict her and Lani will lose everything, her career and freedom, and Eli will have to raise their children alone. Melinda adds that she's willing to forget everything she knows because she doesn't want to take down Lani, she wants to put Kristen DiMera away once and for all. Eli brings up Kristen pushing Haley down the stairs. Melinda calls that murder and says she also tried to kill Victor. Melinda states that Kristen has been a danger to the society for years and never has to pay for it. Melinda doesn't care if Kristen has found happiness with Brady and their daughter because she hasn't changed and something will set her off so that she will kill again. Eli responds that Brady and Victor are both covering for her. Melinda tells him to work extra hard because she wants irrefutable proof of her guilt. Eli questions how she expects him to get that.

Kayla asks Roman how he found out that Hope caught Vincent. Roman informs her that Hope came by this morning and told him all about it. Kayla can't believe she found him so quickly. Roman calls Hope a good cop and highly motivated but notes that Vincent wouldn't talk without a lawyer. Roman then says that Lani called and says he changed his mind so Hope could be getting answers about Ciara as they speak and hopefully it's the answers she's looking for.

Ben argues that Vincent is lying and telling a story because he gets off on what it does to them. Ben wants to be left alone with Vincent to get the truth out of him. Vincent responds that Ciara is dead and it's all because of Ben. Vincent questions how Ben rationalized starting a happy family. Hope cuts him off and says that's enough. Vincent tells her that he didn't want to have to take her daughter from her. Hope tells him to shut the hell up, shouting that he killed her daughter. Hope then handcuffs Vincent. Vincent remarks to Ben that Ciara's blood is on his hands, telling him to never forget it as Hope then has Vincent escorted out of the station.

Lani asks Allie if that's all she remembers. Allie says it wasn't until today that she realized she was raped. Lani tells her that she's doing great but she has a few more questions. Lani asks if she knows if Tripp used a condom. Allie says she doesn't think so since she ended up pregnant. Lani asks if she believes Tripp is the father of her child. Allie responds that he has to be because she didn't have sex with anyone else. Allie adds that she knows how it looks since she was drunk and her memory of the night sucks. Allie asks if Lani believes her.

Tripp tells Steve that seeing Allie again was weird, like she hated him. Steve suggests she was embarrassed about getting so drunk. Tripp thinks she would be grateful. Tripp then recalls Allie thanking him for getting her home safely but then when he saw her again in Salem, she was really angry at him. Tripp can't figure out why unless she remembers him stopping her from kissing him differently. Tripp questions her being that furious after all these months since he explained he stopped kissing her because she could barely stand. Steve suggests she might not remember anything he said. Tripp feels Allie had to know that he liked her. Steve thinks she would be grateful that he didn't take advantage of her. Tripp repeats that he left his name and number but he never heard from her or saw her again until he came back to Salem. Tripp calls it a crazy coincidence that Allie is Kayla's niece. Tripp says it threw him for a loop to find out that Allie had a baby but he doesn't know what to make of the whole situation. Steve then questions why he's just hearing about this now.

Hope calls Shawn to inform him that Vincent is now claiming that he shot Ciara before the car exploded so she was in the car. Hope tells Shawn not to come and she will talk to him later as she then hangs up. Ben insists that Vincent is lying and he will say whatever it takes to torture him. Ben still thinks Vincent has Ciara locked up somewhere. Hope wants to believe that but questions why he would do that. Ben refuses to take Vincent's word for anything since there is zero evidence to back up his story. Hope responds that there may be and tells Ben to hang tight as she exits.

Roman mentions to Kayla that Tripp stopped by in the morning. Kayla tells Roman that Tripp is here to stay as he wants to finish med school here. Roman responds that Steve must love that. Kayla admits they are both happy about it but Tripp ran in to Allie this morning and realized he had met her before in London. Roman questions the look on Kayla's face telling him it's a big deal. Kayla explains that it was in December so given the timing and circumstances, she and Steve think Tripp might be the father of Allie's baby.

Steve brings up to Tripp that he asked him if he could be Allie's baby's father but he didn't answer the question. Tripp says that was because Claire showed up. Steve argues that he could have just said no so he didn't have to wonder all night and morning. Tripp says he wasn't comfortable keeping up that conversation in front of Allie's cousin. Tripp adds that things are awkward enough between he and Claire. Steve points out that Claire will find out eventually. Tripp informs him that she kind of already knows because he told her that he met Allie before. Tripp says Allie clearly thinks there is something else or she wouldn't have slapped him. Tripp swears he has no idea what he did to offend Allie.

Lani assures Allie that she believes her but she still has to take down as many facts as she can. Nicole asks if she has enough to arrest Tripp. Lani doesn't want to speculate about that but says there are a very small percentage of rape accusations that get a felony conviction. Allie and Nicole can't believe that. Lani points out that it doesn't mean she can't win the case. Lani says it was a big step to come forward. Allie feels people will just say she was drunk and had it coming. Lani encourages that she did nothing wrong. Lani asks if she has any more questions or concerns. Allie says not right now. Lani gives Allie her card to call her if she needs anything or remembers anything more. Lani tells Allie that she did great. Allie knows she doesn't remember much but she remembers saying no.

Eli is sure Melinda has memorized the case file from when Kristen stabbed Victor and there are no fingerprints on the knife. Eli adds that Victor is the only witness and he is not testifying so he questions how he's supposed to prove that Kristen did it. Melinda argues that Eli is smart and can figure it out. Melinda wants a taped confession from Kristen but Eli says she would never consent to that. Melinda asks who said anything about consent. Eli calls that entrapment. Melinda says the law is complicated and he can leave that to her. Melinda warns him to focus on getting the confession or else his twins will grow up without their mother.

Roman questions Kayla about Tripp being the father of Allie's baby and where he has been if so. Kayla explains that Tripp didn't even know Allie was pregnant until Steve told him yesterday. Kayla adds that they don't know if Tripp is the father but they met in London. Roman wants to find out what happened. Kayla informs him that Steve is talking to him about it now. Roman mentions that Tripp did bring up Allie's name when he came by earlier and now that he thinks about it, he could've been fishing for information. Roman notes that nobody around here has any idea who Henry's father is. Kayla responds that they will find out soon enough.

Tripp tells Steve how shocking it is to have somebody slap him and have no idea why. Tripp talks about Allie seeming angry and miserable but swears that all he did that night was get her home safely. Steve assures that he believes him. Tripp repeats that the baby is not his. Steve jokes that he'd love to be a grandpa. Tripp says they will have to wait awhile on that. Lani then shows up. Steve asks what he can do for her. Lani responds that she actually needs to speak to his son.

Eli tells Melinda that if he helps her put Kristen away, Lani will never forgive him. Melinda asks about if he tells her it was to keep Lani from delivering the twins in prison. Eli argues that Lani sees a side of Kristen that they don't see and calls her a best friend. Melinda argues that Kristen is working Lani just like she's working Brady. Melinda warns Eli that he will be doing his wife a favor if he destroys that friendship.

Hope returns to Ben at the police station with the gun that Vincent placed on the ground before he took off and the car exploded. Hope says she checked it and there is a bullet missing. Hope adds that they don't know when he fired it and that forensics would have found a bullet casing if it was in the car. Hope checks the file and confirms that it looks like a bullet casing for her. Ben argues they don't know for sure. Hope says she will have forensics confirm it and if it is, she wants to know why it wasn't in the report to start with. Ben then asks if Vincent was telling the truth. Hope admits she doesn't know.

Allie wishes she remembered more from that night. Nicole tells Allie that she remembered what's important. Nicole says she's been so brave and she's so proud of her. Allie worries about there being nothing Lani can do since it was in London and Tripp gets away with this. Nicole says what's important is that she spoke up and told the truth which is all that matters as she hugs her.

Kayla asks Roman how he feels about Tripp if he ends up being the father of Allie's baby. Roman says that depends on if he steps up and takes responsibility. Kayla assures that he would. Roman says it still bothers him that Allie clammed up about who the father was and they didn't know but if it is Tripp, he seems to have learned from his mistakes and turned out to be a decent guy.

Steve questions Lani needing to talk to Tripp and if it's official police business. Lani responds that it is. Tripp asks what this is about. Lani suggests they speak at the police station.

Eli asks Melinda what if he can't give her the case she wants against Kristen. Melinda doesn't want to talk about what might happen. Eli complains about the situation she's putting him in. Melinda argues that Kristen put him in this position when she conned Lani into being her accomplice. Eli says he tried to convince Lani of that but she won't see it that way. Melinda decides to give him time to think about this. Melinda promises that Kristen is going down but whether or not Lani goes with her is entirely up to Eli.

Ben tells Hope that all they know for sure is that Vincent may have fired the gun in the car but that does not mean he shot Ciara. Hope then gets up and walks away. Ben then looks at the gun and declares that if Vincent killed Ciara, he's got nothing to live for, so if she is dead, Vincent will be too.
