Gwen goes to prison to visit Dr. Rolf, which he calls a surprise and asks what she's doing here. Gwen informs him that she has bad news as the plan has hit a snag since Abigail is home.

Abigail and Chad kiss in the living room of the DIMera Mansion until Lucas comes in with Allie, who has a bag packed. Allie announces she is moving back in with Nicole.

Nicole is at home on the phone with Eric, saying she's so glad he made it to the village safely but she misses him so much already. Nicole talks about being proud of Eric and mentions Allie moving in today. Nicole tells Eric that she expects Sami to be a nightmare and she's prepared to handle it as she answers the door to see Sami has arrived with Allie's baby.

Tripp goes to Kayla and Steve's house where Kayla is making an apple pie. Tripp decides to help her with it. Kayla asks if everything is okay. Tripp tells her that he just can't stop thinking about Ciara. Kayla says she can't either. Tripp mentions going to Hope's to give his condolences but Shawn told him that Hope left town to find Vincent to get answers because Hope thinks it's possible that Ciara is still alive.

Ben returns home to he and Ciara's room at the Salem Inn to find the door cracked open. Ben walks inside to find a bag packed on the bed. He hears someone in the bathroom and wonders if it's Ciara but it turns out to be Claire. Ben asks what the hell she's doing here.

Gwen informs Dr. Rolf about Abigail checking herself out two days ago and flying home. Dr. Rolf questions her being fully recovered. Gwen says she still has hallucinations but pops a pill and is all better. Dr. Rolf calls Abigail more resilient than he imagined. Gwen argues that Dr. Rolf told her the drug would melt Abigail's brain permanently but now it's 6 months later and she's as good as new. Dr. Rolf questions Gwen blaming him for this. Gwen declares that he promised her the drug would take Abigail out for good so now he's going to help her get rid of Abigail once and for all.

Abigail asks if Allie decided to keep her son after all. Allie explains that Sami was trying to drag her son off to Italy since she has legal custody but Eric came up with the compromise that Sami agreed to back off if she moved in with Nicole to help raise her baby. Abigail questions Sami letting her grandson be raised in Nicole's home which Allie confirms. Abigail asks if Hell froze over while she was away because the Sami she knows wouldn't let her grandson anywhere near Nicole.

Nicole tells Eric that Sami says hello and hangs up. Nicole thought Sami was coming over later but Sami thought they should have a private chat first. Sami warns Nicole that if Allie is going to live with her, they need to get a few things straight.

Claire thought Ben was still in the hospital. Ben informs her that he just got released and questions how she got into his room. Claire explains that she went to school with the front desk clerk, who knew that she and Ciara were close so she let her in. Ben questions what she came for. Claire informs him that she came to return Ciara's suitcase then apologizes as she realizes that Ben thought it meant Ciara was inside. Ben asks how she even had it. Claire explains that Ciara packed it when they went to New York to look for Eve then when Ciara and Hope found Ben, they flew straight home and left their stuff with her and Shawn so she never got to return it. Ben asks what's the point since Ciara is gone. Claire thought he might want it and tells him that she's so sorry as she knows how much he loved Ciara and how much she loved him.

Kayla questions why Hope would think Ciara is still alive. Tripp explains that the forensics report showed Ciara's DNA but no remains so Hope thinks it's possible that she wasn't in the car when it exploded. Kayla understands then why Hope would pursue that and imagines she'd go to the ends of the earth if she thought Ciara might be alive. Kayla states that a mother would do anything for her child.

Nicole tells Sami that they have nothing to straighten out. Sami argues that she's only leaving because EJ and the kids need her. Sami assures that she still hates Nicole and thinks she's the worst person on earth but calls her a necessary evil right now. Sami adds that she only agreed to this because all she wants is for Allie to have a chance to fall in love with her son and choose to raise him. Nicole mocks Sami making it about what she wants. Sami argues that she knows her daughter and that she just needs a little time. Sami calls Nicole a baby snatcher and warns her.

Allie tells Abigail how Sami only does things for herself and she thinks if she lives with the baby, she will swoon in to motherhood and never look back. Lucas points out that it could happen but he supports her either way. Allie talks about wanting someone responsible like Nicole, who is already a great mother and can give the baby the security that she can't. Abigail tells her to let them know if she needs anything as they hug. Lucas tells Allie they need to get going. Chad hugs Allie. Lucas then says to tell Gwen that he's not going anywhere so she doesn't try to steal his bedroom again. Lucas and Allie then exit.

Gwen tells Dr. Rolf that when she was at Bayview, she did her research on Abigail and heard about a doctor who made this experimental drug with very interesting side effects. Gwen declares that Dr. Rolf was her answer. He is impressed that she was able to track him down. Gwen responds that when she wants something, she doesn't stop until she gets it. Gwen talks about finding out Dr. Rolf made the drug and that he wasn't a fan of Abigail. Dr. Rolf acknowledges that she was always a thorn in Stefano's side. Gwen asks Dr. Rolf to help her get rid of Abigail once and for all. Gwen pulls out the drug and asks Dr. Rolf for another dose that can melt Abigail's brain permanently. Dr. Rolf responds that he's sorry but he's afraid he can't do that.

Sami warns Nicole that she still has legal custody. Nicole assures that if Allie wants to be a mother to her baby, she won't stand in her way. Sami argues that Nicole doesn't have a great track record of letting go of other peoples' children. They argue until Allie and Lucas arrive. Sami hands the baby to Allie and suggests it's time that Allie give her son a name.

Kayla asks Tripp when he's heading back to California. Tripp responds that he wanted to talk to her about that. Tripp informs her that he'd like to finish out his last year of medical school in Salem but he wants to know how she feels about it given their history as he'd understand if she didn't want him there.

Claire asks if Ben is okay. Ben says he is and looks through Ciara's bag. Ben gets emotional over memories of Ciara. Ben tells Claire that he was sorry that he was wrong about her. Claire understands he had plenty of reason not to trust her. Ben says he always complains about no one giving him the benefit of the doubt and he did the same to her. Ben adds that maybe if he wasn't fixated on Claire being the bad guy, he could've figured out it was Eve and none of this would've happened then Ciara would still be here.

Abigail reads Jack's article on Ciara's death. Chad tells her that he's so happy she's home. Chad offers to take off work so they can do things they never had a chance to do. Abigail says that's sweet but she wants to go back to work.

Gwen questions why Dr. Rolf won't give her another dose of the drug. Dr. Rolf explains that when she drugged Abigail the first time, Gabi was there to take the fall but he hears she and Rafe have left town which means if Gwen attempts anything else, it will raise a lot of questions. Gwen realizes he's right. Dr. Rolf goes to leave but Gwen stops him and says she might not be able to use the drug but that does not mean the plan has changed. Gwen says she needs something else to bring Abigail down and asks what else he has up his sleeve. Dr. Rolf suggests she stop thinking about instant gratification and consider the long game. Gwen says she can do that and asks what he has in mind.

Kayla questions why she wouldn't want Tripp here. Kayla says they had a rough start but that's behind them and she thought they were pretty close now. Tripp assures that they are and he's grateful for that but if he transfers to Salem University medical school then he will be spending a lot of time at Kayla's hospital and he's worried about how badly he screwed up back in the day. Tripp says he was so angry and there's no excuse for how he hurt her so he will always be ashamed of that. Tripp knows Kayla forgives him but last time, she pretty much told him he could never work at the hospital again so he'll understand if she doesn't want him anywhere near that place.

Allie questions Sami not naming the baby. Sami says she didn't feel it was her place. Nicole comments that it never stopped her before. Allie suggests Nicole naming him since she's going to raise him but Sami says over her dead body. Sami argues that Allie created the baby so she thinks he deserves to have his mother give him a name. Nicole agrees and tells Allie that she should be the one to name her son. Allie jokes about the names of One Direction members. Allie then decides on naming her baby Henry Lucas Horton. Lucas is surprised and calls it a perfect name.

Chad questions Abigail wanting to go back to work when she just got home. Chad thinks she should be taking it easy and spending time with him and the kids. Abigail says she will spend time with them but part of coming home means getting back to her regular routine and work so she can have a normal life again. Chad worries about the stress, pace, and deadlines as he doesn't want her to put too much pressure on herself. Abigail says she loves working at the Spectator as it makes her feel like she has purpose and will make her feel like she has control of her life again. Abigail feels she needs to do whatever she can to put it all behind her.

Dr. Rolf asks what Gwen knows about Abigail. Gwen talks about Abigail having the perfect husband, children, and life. Dr. Rolf suggests that she begin to dismantle that life piece by piece. He tells her to target everything Abigail holds dear and take it all for herself. Gwen brings up kissing Chad and asks how to do it. Dr. Rolf urges her to strive for some finesse. Gwen decides Abigail will never see her coming and then once she brings her down, she'll let her know exactly who has destroyed her life. Dr. Rolf asks why Gwen wants to ruin Abigail's life. Gwen responds that she has a very good reason to hate Abigail and he will find out when everybody else does. Gwen then exits the prison.

Chad accepts that Abigail is going back to work then and says he won't fight her on it if she thinks it will help her get back to her old self. Abigail promises to let him know if it gets too overwhelming. They kiss until Gwen comes back into the room. Chad asks where she's been since she was supposed to send Harold to clean up the mess. Gwen says she got Abigail a gift to apologize and gives her decaf coffee so she can have it with her meds. Abigail calls that so thoughtful. Gwen says they got off on the wrong foot so she wanted to apologize as she would like it if they could be friends. Abigail says she doesn't see why not so Gwen hugs her.

Lucas calls Henry Lucas a strong name for the baby. Nicole then takes Henry to change his diaper. Lucas reminds Sami that she has a flight to catch if she wants to leave on time. Sami asks Lucas to meet her at the car. Lucas tells Allie that he will see her later and exits. Allie asks Sami if she's going to tell her that Nicole is going to steal her kid or that she's making a huge mistake. Sami acknowledges it's been a rough couple months for them. Allie corrects her that it's been years. Sami guesses it's in the family genes as they are strong and stubborn. Sami talks about times she thought she would never speak to her mother again but she is always there for her like she will be for Allie. Sami tells Allie that she loves her. Allie admits she loves her too and hugs her as they cry.

Kayla tells Tripp that he could have hurt a lot of people but she understands he thought she killed his mother so he was grieving and angry. Kayla adds that he's grown up a lot since then and says he's not even the same person he was then. Tripp says that's not exactly true. Kayla asks what he means. Tripp informs her that he framed Ben for setting the fire that almost killed Ciara.

Claire tells Ben that what happened to Ciara is not his fault as he was a victim too. Claire says the only people that should feel guilty are Eve and Vincent. Ben notes that Eve is locked up but Vincent is still out there. Claire informs him that Hope left town to track him down. Ben says that makes since because Hope wants him locked up as badly as he does. Claire then reveals it's not the only reason as Shawn told her that Hope thinks there's a chance Ciara wasn't in the car and is still alive which shocks Ben.

Sami and Lucas walk through the town square. Lucas asks if she's okay. Sami responds that Allie doesn't hate her. Lucas assures that she knows Sami wants what is best for her and he's proud of her taking the high road. Sami says she only did it because she wants Allie to decide to raise Henry herself. Lucas admits he wants that too but they can't push her on it which they joke is not Sami's strong suit. Sami stops to ask if they are making the right decision with Nicole since Eric won't be there. Lucas states that he's not the biggest fan of Nicole but admits she's a good mother. Sami calls her a trainwreck waiting to happen and complains about Nicole playing mom to her grandson. Lucas declares so much for the high road.

Nicole puts Henry to bed as she and Allie joke about the peace and quiet now that Sami is gone. Nicole suggests getting Allie unpacked and settled in. Allie asks if Nicole is having any doubts about taking them in. Nicole assures they love having them and she loves Henry's name. Nicole asks if it's by chance his father's name. Allie responds that she would never name the baby after that bastard. Nicole asks why not then stops and says she respects it being off limits. Allie adds that it's just easier to never think about him again. Nicole brings up needing diaper rash cream so Allie decides she will go get some and exits.

Kayla tells Tripp that she thought Wyatt framed Ben. Tripp explains that Claire convinced him to take the blame but he planted Ben's fingerprints for the cops to find. Tripp says he was a coward who was so afraid of losing Ciara that he convinced himself it was the only way to keep her. Kayla guesses that's why he and Ciara broke up. Kayla appreciates his honesty and says she knows what a good, compassionate, and sincere person. Kayla believes he would be a brilliant doctor and that they would be lucky to have him so she is giving her blessing to transfer. Tripp hugs her and thanks her. Kayla suggests Tripp go to the school to see about his transfer. Tripp agrees and exits as Kayla wishes him luck.

Ben asks Claire why Hope thinks Ciara wasn't in the car since they found her rings. Claire explains that forensics never found any of Ciara's remains so Hope thinks it's possible Ciara got out of the car before they arrived. Ben remembers never actually seeing her in the car and asks why nobody told him this. Claire explains that Shawn thinks Hope could be getting her hopes up for nothing so he wouldn't want to do the same for Ben. Ben argues that Ciara could be alive. Claire reminds him that only Vincent knows that which is why Hope went after him. Ben asks where Hope is now but Claire doesn't know. Ben then declares he's going to help Hope.

Gwen talks to Abigail about having a friend under the same roof after having to deal with Gabi. Gwen suggests they do yoga in the mornings. Abigail doesn't know if she'll have time since she's going back to work. Chad reminds Abigail that their nanny got another job so they will need a replacement. Gwen quickly offers the job. Chad thought she said she liked not working. Gwen says that was when she thought Jake would support her but now she has to be financially stable on her own. Gwen says they can talk it over and whatever they decide is good but this could be exactly what she needs right now.

Claire doesn't think this is a good idea and asks Ben to let Hope handle this. Ben packs his bag and declares he's going to help Hope find Vincent so they can get the truth out of him as he exits the room.

Lucas tells Sami that they still have a little time if she wants to say goodbye to her family. Sami declines and talks about how she pissed off Eric, Belle, Marlena, John, Will, and Allie all in this one trip so she doesn't think anyone will be sad to see her go. Lucas responds that he is because things are a lot less interesting when she's not around. Sami thanks him and hugs him, adding that she will miss him too. Sami asks Lucas to keep an eye on Allie and Henry for her. Lucas assures that she can count on him.

Nicole watches over Henry and wonders why Allie doesn't want to talk about Henry's dad.

Allie walks out of the town square and bumps into Tripp, who she is shocked to see...
