Gwen thanks Chad for being so nice to her and hugs him again. Abigail then walks in, surprising Chad. Abigail announces that she's home. Chad questions what she's doing here. Abigail responds that the better questions is what is Gwen doing here.

Steve comes out from the bedroom and grabs the person who came in to their house but is shocked to find out it's his son Tripp, who has returned to Salem. Steve questions what he's doing here as he hugs him.

At the police station, Shawn is on the phone talking about Sami getting Jan Spears released. Shawn remarks that he doesn't understand why they would let her out of the loony bin in the first place and that they need to lock her back up now, as Claire arrives and questions if he was just talking about her.

Hope is in Rafe's office when Jennifer and Jack come in to check on her. Hope tells Jennifer that she's really glad to see her as they hug. Jack adds that they just saw Eve being taken back to her cell so they ask if Eve told anything about where Vincent may have taken Ciara.

Ciara asks when Vincent last slept or ate and suggests he get some food. Vincent tells her to shut up. Ciara brings up that Vincent said he kidnapped her because Ben took someone he loved and that he was going to return the favor. Ciara questions what that means and what he's going to do to her.

Chad can't believe Abigail is here as she didn't tell him she was going to be there. Abigail introduces herself to Gwen. Gwen says she's heard so much about her. Abigail brings up Gwen being Chad's brother's girlfriend so she questions what she's doing in her husband's arms.

Steve tells Tripp he's sorry for jumping him while Tripp apologizes for coming in unannounced. Kayla rushes in with a bat asking if Steve is okay. Steve assures that he is. Kayla is surprised to see Tripp and hugs him. Kayla explains that they thought someone was breaking in. Tripp mentions accidentally breaking the picture frame. Kayla questions why he didn't just knock. Tripp states that he did a few times but no one answered. Steve explains that they didn't hear because they were in the shower. Kayla tells Tripp that they are so happy he's here as they just said they missed seeing him. Tripp says he missed them too and apologizes for barging in. Steve says they are happy he's here but asks why he is here.

Hope informs Jack and Jennifer that Eve insists that she has no idea where Vincent might have taken Ciara. Hope says she asked Eve to contact Vincent but she was unable to get in touch with him and there is no sign of him. Jack thought Vincent took Ciara as a bargaining chip for Eve's freedom but Hope reveals that Eve said Vincent doesn't give a damn about her. Jennifer asks what Hope thinks. Hope states that since Vincent hasn't made any contact or any demands, she believes this has nothing to do with Eve. Jack questions why Vincent took Ciara then if Eve already dropped the plan. Hope tells them that Eve realized Vincent may have his own vendetta against Ben.

Vincent informs Ciara that they are in Wendy's home and he came here to feel closer to her but all he has left is photos and memories. Ciara tells him that she's sorry. Vincent declares that Wendy is gone forever thanks to Ben so what he should do is take Ciara outside and shoot her like Ben did to the woman he loves.

Steve asks Tripp what brought him back to town. Tripp responds that he just wanted to be with his family as he missed them. Steve says they missed him too but asks about med school. Tripp says he will explain everything over dinner. Steve suggests they all go to the Brady Pub. Kayla says that'd be nice but she wants to check on Hope with everything going on with Ciara. Tripp asks what's going on with Ciara. Kayla questions him not seeing the news. Steve calls it a long story but the bottom line is that Ciara is missing and her life might be in danger.

Shawn explains to Claire that he wasn't talking about her and that the call had nothing to do with her. Claire apologizes for being overly sensitive. Shawn understands why she would be but assures that he's confident that she is better and he couldn't be more proud of her. Claire asks if there's any news on Ciara since Marlena told her that Ben remembered that he did not hurt her. Shawn informs Claire that it turns out that Eve's sidekick Vincent knocked Ben out and took Ciara with him. Shawn adds that they are doing everything they can and trying to figure out why Vincent decided to carry on Eve's plan without her but they don't have much to go on. Claire says she's so sorry and asks if there is anything she can do to help. Shawn asks her to call Doug and Julie to fill them in since they keep calling him and Hope but they haven't been able to respond. Claire agrees to do so as Shawn swears to call if there's any news. Claire hugs him and exits the station.

Vincent informs Ciara that they are not far from the cabin where Ben held Abigail captive. Vincent talks about Abigail going into labor and how Wendy delivered her baby while in return Ben shot her at point blank range. Ciara knows he's still in a lot of pain. Vincent tells her to shut up and says she has no idea what he feels as she's married to a murderer. Vincent argues that Ben deserved to be executed. Ciara disagrees. Vincent says that Ben slaughtered his fiance and walked away free so that ends now. Ciara asks what he will do. Vincent wants Ben to feel the same agony he felt when Ben took away the person he loved the most. Vincent adds that unlike Eve, he doesn't think Ciara is innocent in all this since she stopped Ben from being put down like the animal he is. Vincent declares that for that, she deserves to die. Ciara shoves him so Vincent asks if she's going to make this difficult. Vincent pulls out a syringe and says this should keep her quiet.

Gwen tells Abigail not to get the wrong idea as Chad was just comforting her. Chad wants to talk to Abigail in private. Gwen tells Abigail it was a pleasure to meet her and exits the room. Chad asks Abigail what she's doing when she's supposed to be in Florida. Abigail responds that she is done with Florida and the clinic, revealing that she checked herself out permanently. Chad brings up seeing her last week and that they talk on the phone every day but she didn't mention checking herself out. Abigail says she hadn't decided yet but after speaking to him yesterday, she gained clarity about handling her health moving forward and acted on it. Chad asks if it wasn't impulse then. Abigail calls it an epiphany as she needs to be home with her husband and kids. Chad asks if she talked with anyone about it. Abigail says just her doctor and he was against it but mentioned that she made a lot of progress. Abigail argues that staying would just mean listening to the same thing over again. Abigail insists she knows herself better than anyone and she's fine. Abigail says she missed her parents, her kids, and Chad. Chad says he missed her too. Abigail knows he's concerned but she promises she would never come home if she didn't know she was emotionally stable enough to take care of her kids. Chad asks if the hallucinations are gone. Abigail says they are under control, admitting she still has them but not as often and she's learned how to manage them with medication. Chad says he doesn't know. Abigail wants her life back and asks Chad not to fight her on this.

Gwen goes to Julie's Place where Claire is surprised to see her and greets her with a hug. Gwen tells her that she's sorry about Ciara. Claire thanks her and says she was just updating Doug and Julie but there really isn't any news as the cops aren't any closer to finding her. Claire tells Gwen that she feels terrible and wishes there was something she could do because she hates seeing her family in this much pain. Gwen says that's because she has a good heart and she saw that in Bayview. Gwen says she was a really good friend to her. Claire says she was to her too. Gwen tells Claire that she could really use a friend now.

Tripp can't believe that Ciara has been kidnapped. Kayla says she will check on Hope and then meet them at the Pub after. Kayla tells Tripp that she's so happy he's back as she then exits. Steve asks Tripp to stay through the weekend and asks when he has to be back in California. Tripp then reveals he's actually not going back.

Hope tells Jack and Jennifer that Eve remembered a conversation with Vincent where he told her that he understood her pain because he also lost someone. Jack wonders if it was a child. Hope explains that she looked into Vincent's personal history and there was no record of a child or a wife. Jack decides he will go update Shawn and exits. Jennifer tells Hope that she's sorry she's going through this. Jennifer encourages that Hope is strong but Hope worries about Ciara is out there somewhere. Hope says she has to find her daughter. Jennifer assures that she will as they hug.

Vincent tells Ciara to relax as he holds the syringe but Ciara says "don't you dare"..

Gwen tells Claire about her and Jake breaking up. Claire asks if she's sure it wasn't just another one of their fights. Gwen assures this time was real as she caught him in bed with Gabi which shocks Claire. Gwen adds that Jake told her that he wants to explore to see where it might go but now Gabi's gone to Mexico so Jake went and got drunk. Claire asks if things are on hold between them. Gwen tells her that Gabi was using Jake the entire time. Gwen says the night that it happened, Jake said he wanted to take her to dinner so she got dressed up but he was upstairs getting busy with Gabi. Claire can't believe he would treat her like that and calls him a jerk. Gwen tells Claire that Jake dumped her and asked her to move out. Claire tells her that she's so sorry but she thinks she's better off without him. Claire offers to ask Marlena to let her stay with them again if she needs a place to crash. Gwen thanks her and says that's really nice but she doesn't have to move since Chad took pity on her and said she could stay. Gwen then adds that it might change since his wife is back.

Abigail tells Chad that she needs him to trust her on this which Chad says he does. Abigail asks if he won't fight her decision then. Chad says he just wants what is best for her and if she thinks that's being home then he's behind it all the way. Abigail thanks him for his support. Chad says he's missed waking up to her every day as he kisses her. Abigail thanks him for keeping her connection to the kids so strong since their video chats every night kept her going. Chad wishes he could have flown to be with her more often. Abigail tells him that he was amazing in taking care of her and the kids while running DiMera so she can't imagine how stressful it must have been. Chad says the only stressful part was not being with her. Abigail says that's why she believes her being home will be good for Chad and the whole family, pointing out that she's already happier. Abigail can't believe it's real that she's home with the man she loves. Abigail can't wait to tell the kids. Chad says he put them to sleep awhile ago. Abigail promises not to wake them up but she's going to see them. Chad kisses her and says he loves her as Abigail then heads upstairs.

Steve questions Tripp not wanting to go back to school and if he's in some sort of trouble. Tripp clarifies that it's nothing like that and he's doing really well. Steve points out it's his last year so he's confused and asks if he's had a change of heart about getting into medicine. Tripp still wants to become a doctor but he was thinking about transferring closer to home. Tripp hoped he could finish his degree here in Salem.

Kayla joins Jennifer and Hope in the police commissioner's office. Kayla asks Hope if there's anything she needs. Hope tells them that just being there is what she needs right now until Ciara is found. Kayla comments that it must be so comforting having Rafe here to help look for her. Hope reveals to them that Rafe is not here as his mom was not doing well so he and Gabi left for Mexico to be with her. Kayla tells her she's so sorry. Hope says that she told Rafe to focus on his family while she needs to focus on hers too.

Jack fills Shawn in on Eve remembering Vincent saying he lost someone too. Shawn asks if he has a wife or kids. Jack says there's no records. Shawn asks about a girlfriend so Jack says they need to keep digging to find out. Shawn wants to find Ciara before it's too late.

Vincent tries to stab Ciara with the syringe but she fights him off, gets a hold of the syringe, and uses it to inject Vincent.

Abigail comes back downstairs to the living room and tells Chad the kids are sound asleep. Abigail says she missed them so much. Chad tells her they will be over the moon to see her. Abigail asks him what Gwen was so upset about that he had to comfort her. Chad tells her that she and Jake broke up. Abigail questions Gwen still being here. Chad informs her that he told Gwen she could stay. Abigail notes that was nice of him. Chad admits he felt sorry as she doesn't have any money or any place to go. Abigail says it's a pretty generous offer to a virtual stranger. Chad informs her that they've gotten to know each other a bit since she got here. Abigail asks if they are friendly. Chad swears it's just a friendship and Abigail is the only one for him. Abigail assures that she's not jealous but she's curious how their friendship came to be.

Claire questions why Gwen would have to move out because Abigail came home. Gwen explains that Abigail walked in on Chad comforting her. Claire tells her that Abigail might be fine with her staying. Gwen hopes so because she's so hurt from being dumped. Claire brings up when Tripp dumped her and says her life went completely off the rails after. Gwen asks if Tripp is the one she told her about in Bayview that she was completely obsessed with which Claire confirms. Claire says she's not that person anymore. Gwen asks if she's over Tripp. Claire is sure that he's way over her after everything she pulled and she's just glad he moved out of town while she was gone because he is the last person she needs to see right now.

Tripp tells Steve that the whole time away, he kept thinking about Salem and missing Steve and Kayla because it started really feeling like home to him. Tripp says California is great but he never thought he'd get into that school. Tripp admits that at the time, a new beginning far away seemed like the right move. Steve asks if it's because of Haley. Tripp admits it was mainly because he didn't want to be a problem for her and JJ. Steve notes that it sadly is not an issue anymore. Tripp admits hearing Haley was gone hit him hard as she was an amazing person. Steve states that Kayla said Haley loved working at University Hospital so Tripp coming back here would be like carrying on her legacy. Tripp would like to think of it that way too. Steve asks why he didn't just say that to begin with. Tripp responds that he's not sure Kayla would be on board.

Kayla tells Hope that she's only a phone call away and that she loves her. Hope says she'll keep her posted. Kayla then exits. Jack and Shawn then come in announcing they've got it. They reveal that they found a marriage license in Vincent's records as he was engaged to Wendy Taylor. Jennifer and Hope remember Wendy as the midwife who delivered Thomas when Ben had Abigail and then he shot her. Hope realizes that is why Vincent has Ciara.

Vincent calls Ciara stupid but then passes out from the syringe so Ciara attempts to escape.

Steve asks Tripp why Kayla would have a problem with him staying in Salem since he thought they got really close. Tripp says they did but that doesn't mean she would want him at the medical school affiliated with her hospital. Steve questions why he would say that, reminding him that Kayla was the one who suggested he become a doctor. Tripp asks if he's just forgetting what he did. Tripp brings up how he tried to ruin Kayla's career. Steve understands that Tripp thought Kayla was responsible for his mother's death and he knows that Kayla has moved past all of that and would love to have him around. Steve adds that he can talk to her at dinner which Tripp agrees to do. Steve tells him that he would really love having him back home.

Claire tells Gwen that she doesn't want to talk about Tripp anymore. Gwen suggests they order a bottle of champagne and toast to the stupid losers that don't appreciate them. Claire says she'll pass as she wants to get back to see if there's any news on Ciara. Claire tells Gwen that it was good to see her and she's around if she needs her. Claire hugs her and then exits. Gwen guesses she'll be drinking alone then.

Chad tells Abigail that she just got home so he wants to focus on them and adds that it's not that interesting. Abigail remains curious as to how Chad and Gwen became friends. Jack and Jennifer then come in, thrilled to see that Abigail is home as they hug. They mention talking to her doctor. Abigail says she just wanted to be home. Jennifer wants to be sure she's ready since the doctor advised against it. Abigail admits she may not be all the way better but she's very close and just really happy to be home. Chad adds that he was very surprised but if it's her decision, they have to respect it. Abigail says she just missed her family so she hopes they believe it's best for her to be with them. Abigail knows she put them through a lot but she hopes they are with her. Jennifer assures they support her completely. Jack says she is back home where she belongs as they hug. Jennifer says they will let them get back to Chad and they will be checking in as she and Jack exit. Abigail tells Chad how grateful she is. Abigail asks if they are alone and if Gabi and Jake are out. Chad then realizes Abigail doesn't know and informs her that Gabi has left Salem.

Hope and Shawn look up Wendy Taylor on the computer and determine that her address is where Vincent is holding Ciara so they rush out of the station.

Ciara manages to get the door open but Vincent recovers and grabs her from behind.

Kayla joins Steve at the Pub. Steve asks if there's any word on Ciara. Kayla says no and Hope is trying to be strong but her heart breaks for her. Steve bets they will get a break soon. Kayla asks where Tripp is. Steve says he had some errands to run. Kayla asks if he said how long he will be staying in town. Steve tells her that he'll let Tripp fill her in as he should be there any minute.

Outside the Pub, Tripp runs in to Claire.

Abigail tells Chad that she's sorry to hear about Gabi's mom but not at all sorry that Gabi is gone. Abigail asks how long she's gone for. Chad says it's indefinitely and he's thrilled. Chad says every time he saw Gabi's face, it reminded him of what she did to Abigail and how she drugged her and caused her hallucinations. Abigail says it's too bad they don't have any proof. Chad states that they don't have to worry about that anymore because Gabi is gone so the threat to Abigail is over as they toast their drinks.

Gwen remains at the bar in Julie's Place, drinking a glass of champagne. Gwen has a flashback, revealing that she was in Julie's Place the night that Abigail was drugged..

Hope and Shawn break into the building where Vincent held Ciara but there is no one there.

Vincent drives Ciara in a car. Ciara asks where he is taking her. Vincent tells her she'll see. Ciara tells him to go ahead and shoot her. Vincent then asks why he would shoot her and calls her Wendy.
