Jake sits Gabi down and asks what this job has to do with her kid. Gabi explains that Will and Sonny are moving and want to take Arianna with them so she will have to prove in court that she can provide a home for her here. Jake questions if she thinks they will take her to court. Gabi says she doesn't know but she's scared as she can't lose her daughter after losing her husband. Gabi cries about missing Stefan and how she sees his face in Jake. Gabi then grabs Jake and kisses him. Jake stops and says he can't do this.

Eduardo tells Rafe that if they don't go to Mexico now, they will both be dead. Rafe laughs it off but Eduardo swears it's true. Rafe tells him to tell him what the hell is going on then.

Justin adds that Nicole did serve her time and pay for her crime. Sami argues that it's not her only crime which the judge questions. Sami declares that Nicole's biggest crime was murder. Nicole calls that insane as she didn't kill anyone. Sami asks if she forgot what she did to Deimos Kiriakis.

Hope goes to the dorm room and kicks the door in, looking for Ben and Ciara. She finds Ben sitting in the corner and asks what happened. Ben cries that he's so sorry.

Jake reminds Gabi that he has a girlfriend. Gabi argues that it seems he can't get away from her. Gabi suggests Jake wants her and has for a long time. Jake calls her nuts. Gabi says she knows ever since they met, there has been a lot of heat between them so they obviously want each other and he just has to admit it.

Eduardo explains to Rafe that he's in some pretty big trouble and that's why he came back to Salem. He didn't want to get into it on the phone. Rafe asks what he did this time. Eduardo tells him that after he got out of prison, he went into business with the wrong people and now they are out for blood. Rafe questions not hearing from him for a year but the minute he does something stupid, he calls him to bail him out. Rafe asks why he should give a damn. Eduardo says it's not just him they are after as Rafe is in danger too.

Justin objects. Sami objects back and says this has to come out. Justin argues that Sami is clearly just unhappy with the judge's ruling so she's now making a last ditch effort to malign Nicole. Justin argues that Nicole is not on trial as this is a custody hearing. Sami says what she has to say goes directly to Nicole being an unfit parent. The judge allows Sami to proceed. Sami states that four years ago, Deimos Kiriakis was found dead at the Martin House with a knife in his chest but what wasn't reported is that Nicole is the one who stabbed him.

Hope asks what Ben did. Ben repeats that he's so sorry. Hope asks where Ciara is. Ben just says he's sorry as Hope searches the room for Ciara. Hope concludes that Ciara is not here and demands Ben tell her what he did to her. Ben responds that he can't remember and he doesn't know where she is. Hope tries calling Ciara but finds her phone is nearby in the room. Hope picks up Ciara's phone and asks why the screen is cracked. Ben thinks back to throwing Ciara's phone and tells Hope that he knocked it out of her hand but he doesn't know why. Hope urges him to remember as she asks him what happened next.

Eduardo warns Rafe that his life is on the line. Rafe reminds him that he's a cop so he can handle himself. Rafe says he's not happy with him but he doesn't want to see him dead. Rafe tells him to just tell the thugs that he's in Salem and he will handle it. Eduardo wishes it was that simple but it's not just them, it's their whole family that they are after. Rafe shouts that he will protect them. Rafe tells Eduardo to get lost and he will handle it. Eduardo argues that it's way too late for that. Rafe questions what that means.

Gabi admits to Jake that she's attracted to him and asks why he can't admit it goes both ways. Jake argues that she's not really attracted to him and she just thinks she is because he looks like Stefan but he's not him. Gabi says she doesn't care. Jake then grabs Gabi and kisses her onto the bed.

Sami explains that Nicole stuck a knife through Deimos' heart. The judge recalls Deimos' murder never being solved. Justin confirms that the case remains cold to this day. The judge asks if Sami has any evidence to this very serious allegation. Sami claims she does so the judge asks why she didn't take it to the police. Sami argues that it wasn't her job, it was Nicole's and she didn't do it. Sami explains that she went to Nashville three years ago to look for Kristen DiMera and she found Eric with Nicole, who at the time was married to Xander. Sami states that Eric can confirm that. Sami adds that Nicole told her that Xander was blackmailing her into marrying him. Nicole mentions to Eric that they never told Sami why Xander was blackmailing her so she questions how she could possibly know. Sami tells the judge that what Xander was using to force Nicole to marry him was her confession to murdering Deimos Kiriakis. Justin objects but the judge overrules it. The judge asks Nicole if there's any truth to this allegation. Nicole says absolutely not and claims she had nothing to do with Deimos' murder. Sami calls that a lie but the judge says to let her speak. Nicole doesn't deny hating Deimos and says everyone did but it wasn't her that killed him. Nicole confirms she was living in Nashville and that Sami showed up and that Xander blackmailed her into marrying him. Nicole explains that years ago, she used Xander to make her then-boyfriend jealous and he never got over it so he vowed to get revenge and forced her to marry him by telling her that if she didn't, she would lose her daughter. Nicole says she believed him because it wasn't the first time Xander had terrorized her using Holly so she couldn't take any chances. The judge questions if the threat was that Xander would harm her daughter, not reveal her confession to killing Deimos. Nicole claims that she couldn't confess because she didn't kill Deimos and that Sami is just making up this lie because she doesn't want them to get custody of Allie's baby boy. Nicole calls it unfair. Justin adds that Nicole has taken responsibility for her actions and paid her debt to society. Justin says ever since Nicole has proven to be a devoted mother and wife. Sami complains that she can't let Justin portray Nicole as a saint when she's a murderer. Justin argues that Sami is using anything she can think of to discredit his client without proof and that she's making a mockery of the court. Sami insists that she's telling the truth and Nicole is lying. Sami declares that she doesn't have to take her word for it as she can believe Eric.

Rafe questions Eduardo saying it's too late. Eduardo reveals that they have already attacked Dario and tried to shoot him in the street but they missed. Eduardo says Dario is off the grid now but they won't stop coming after their whole family. Rafe argues that they won't come after the police commissioner. Eduardo assures that they aren't afraid of his badge and it will only make them more determined. Rafe insists he can handle it. Eduardo warns that they've already made threats against Gabi. Rafe argues that he'll protect her but Eduardo says it's not enough since these people are on a mission to kill them. Eduardo declares that they have to get Gabi and get her out of Salem now.

Jake and Gabi lay in bed together after having sex. They agree that it was fun. Jake brings up Gabi saying before that she knows he's not Stefan and she doesn't care. Jake asks what she meant by that. Gabi admits she was attracted to him at first because she thought he was Stefan but she knew there was something there. Gabi doesn't think they can deny it anymore. Jake agrees but points out that he does have a girlfriend who is on her way home now so Gabi should probably get out before Gwen gets back. Gwen then walks in and shouts that it's too late.

Hope informs Ben that she found Eve and she's under arrest. Hope adds that Eve told her everything about how she had Vincent brainwash him and she knows that whatever happened was not what Ben wanted. Hope knows he only did it because he was programmed to do it. Hope tells Ben that he needs to tell her what he did. Hope reminds Ben that they are family and she cares about him. Hope adds that they both love Ciara so he needs to tell her what he did to her. Ben thinks back to telling Ciara that he has to kill her. Hope brings up Eve saying that she wanted Ben to suffer. Ben tells Hope that he kept trying to stop himself. Ben explains how he pushed Ciara into the bathroom and stood over her with the tie but he pulled the door shut and she locked it. Ben adds that he was freaking out and crying then Ciara opened the door but locked it back. Ben talks about how he couldn't stop and he smashed the door to get in. Hope asks if he tried to strangle her daughter with the necktie. Ben responds that he doesn't know. Hope screams that Ciara isn't here. Ben repeats that he doesn't know as he must have blacked out. Ben promises he would tell her if he knew where Ciara was. Hope sits Ben down and handcuffs him, assuring that she will find her daughter. Ben repeats that he's sorry.

Rafe can't believe Eduardo did this to them again. Rafe gets a call from Hope. Eduardo takes Rafe's phone and smashes it on the ground, shouting that he cannot tell anyone, especially not a fellow cop. Eduardo tells Rafe that they are going to find Gabi as he walks out of the house.

Gwen questions Gabi pouncing on her boyfriend when she was gone for an hour. Gabi brings up Gwen kissing Chad when he's married. Gwen says she might have kissed Chad but they didn't have sex which is what clearly happened here. Gabi admits they had sex and says it was really amazing. Jake holds Gwen back from attacking Gabi.

Nicole tells Sami that this isn't going to work and she's not going to listen to her slander her. The judge tells Sami not to have any more outbursts. She questions why Sami said Eric could verify her version of events. Sami says after a long time where Nicole and Eric were forced apart, they finally reunited in Nashville and thought they could spend their lives together but then they thought Nicole died in a warehouse fire. Justin questions where she's going. The judge tells her to get to the point. Sami talks about Eric being devastated, thinking he had lost Nicole, and had rage against Xander for stealing their chance at being happy together. The judge asks if Sami is saying Nicole is lying about Xander threatening her daughter. Sami responds that Nicole would've lost Holly because she would've gone to prison since she confessed to murdering Deimos and Xander had her confession on tape. The judge asks how Sami knows this. Sami informs her that Nicole told Eric and Eric told her. Sami explains that they had just got back to Salem after the fire and Eric was shattered so one night it all just came spilling out. Sami asks if Eric remembers because she'll never forget it. The judge calls that a very powerful account and asks Eric if it's true.

Hope leaves a message for Rafe, saying she found Ben in Paige's old dorm but Ciara wasn't there. Hope says she needs Rafe's help and asks him to call her. Ben begs Hope to let him come with her so he can help. Hope says no way in hell and walks out of the dorm, leaving Ben handcuffed.

Jake holds Gwen back. Gabi repeats that the sex was really amazing as she exits the room. Gwen asks Jake how he could do this.

Eric glares at Sami. Sami suggests getting the bible for Eric to swear on since he used to be a priest. The judge says that won't be necessary as she's sure Eric will tell the truth in a situation this serious. Sami agrees, saying Eric is an honest man unlike his wife. Sami states that Eric wouldn't lie to save his own life and tells him to go ahead and tell them about their conversation where he told her that Xander had a recording of Nicole's confession to murder. Eric declares that he has no idea what Sami is talking about and he does not remember that conversation at all. Sami questions why Eric is doing this when he never lies. Sami argues that it goes against everything he believes in. The judge orders Sami to sit down. Sami shouts that Nicole has turned Eric into someone she doesn't even recognize and he can't see how she's manipulated their entire family. Sami calls Nicole an evil, toxic bitch. The judge yells at Sami to sit down but she screams that she can't, insisting that she's telling the truth about Nicole confessing. Eric stands up and declares that Sami will go to great lengths to keep her grandson and now she's making up conversations that never happened. The judge asks Sami if she has any evidence to back up her claims, like the tape of Nicole's confession. Sami doesn't so the judge declares that she will see them tomorrow when she announces her decision. Sami cries that this isn't over. Sami yells at Justin that his clients are lying so he's going to be in so much trouble. Justin tells her that he advised her to ask for a continuance but she wouldn't listen to him. Nicole tells Justin that she's sorry for blowing up at Sami. Justin tells her not to worry as the ruling came down in her favor and now that the judge knows Sami was lying, it should go their way tomorrow. Justin then exits. Sami tells Eric that she can't believe he lied to the judge. Eric can't believe Sami would use something against him that he told her when he was going through so much pain. Sami points out that now Eric admits it and wishes she was recording this on her phone. Eric knows Sami can do some low things but says this is lower than he can ever imagine her being. Eric tells Nicole that he's sorry he never told her that Sami knew about the voice recording because he never thought she would use it against them. Nicole points out that Sami will do anything to get what she wants. Sami argues that Nicole got away with murder and she's not going to let her steal her grandson. Sami says when the judge shows up tomorrow, she will tell her that Eric admitted to telling her about the confession.

Jake tells Gwen that he didn't plan this and it just happened which Gwen calls a stupid excuse. Gwen sees Stefan's suit and asks if they were playing a kinky dress up game where Gabi dressed him up like her dead husband so she could have sex with him. Jake explains that he didn't have the right thing to wear for Kansas City. Jake adds that Gabi found out that Chad has been making in roads on the Collins deal so she insisted he go with her to help her out. Jake tells her that Gabi told him that Chad has been sucking up to Shin to win his approval and if that happens, Gabi will never end up in charge of DiMera ever again. Jake states that the job is way more important to her than he ever realized. Gwen asks who cares about Gabi when they agreed that he would cancel his trip to Kansas City to show that she was his top priority. Jake says that's why he told Gabi to fly solo but she said the only way she could get Shin back on her side is if he was with her to help nail the deal. Gwen remarks that instead he nailed Gabi. Jake says he told Gabi that they had dinner plans. Gwen questions how they went from that to jumping in the sack together. Gwen then guesses that he was getting back at her for kissing Chad and calls it revenge sex. Jake admits this had nothing to do with her and Chad as it was about he and Gabi.

Eduardo goes to the DiMera Mansion with Rafe to see Gabi. Gabi is shocked to see her father and asks what he's doing here. Eduardo calls it a long story. Gabi questions what's going on, when he got out of prison and why he hasn't called or texted. Eduardo says he's been meaning to get in touch but Gabi tells him to save it. Gabi says she has a lot to deal with right now so she can't have more to lose right now. Eduardo warns her that this is an emergency so she could lose her life right now. Gabi asks Rafe what the hell he's talking about. Eduardo says he will tell her everything but not here because they have to leave. Gabi says he's not going to come in her house and start ordering her around. Rafe informs her that Eduardo is in trouble which Gabi questions. Eduardo says it means they have to leave now. Rafe says that he's brought this hell upon them all so they have to get Gabi out now.

Ben tells himself that he couldn't have hurt Ciara and he would never do it but questions why he can't remember. Hope returns to the dorm so Ben asks if she found Ciara. Hope tells him that the security are checking the cameras but right now, he's the only one who can help. Hope encourages Ben to think and focus on what happened to Ciara. Ben remembers breaking into the bathroom and finding Ciara hiding in the shower. Ben then tells Hope that he remembers.

Nicole tells Sami that she will not say a word to the judge. Sami warns her to try to stop her. Eric tells Sami to go ahead and tell the judge whatever she wants but no one will believe her. Nicole agrees because Sami has told too many lies. Sami argues that Nicole should be in prison for murder. Sami can't believe Eric is standing by Nicole. Eric responds that he will always stand by his wife and the real question is who will stand by Sami. Eric warns that she will lose her grandson like she's lost everyone else in her life. Eric tells her to give up as he and Nicole exit the court. Sami remarks that she's not giving up and if he thinks she would, then he doesn't know her at all.

Gwen questions Jake as to what he means by saying this was about he and Gabi. Jake thinks she can figure it out. Gwen still thinks he had sex with Gabi to hurt her and it won't happen again. Gwen adds that if he's lucky, she'll forgive him but he will have to beg. Jake says he won't beg. Jake adds that he doesn't know what will come of what happened with he and Gabi but it made him realize that they have to break up.

Gabi argues that if Eduardo isn't abandoning his family, he's putting them all in danger and it never stops. Eduardo gives his word that it will stop but Gabi says that means nothing. Gabi repeats that she has a lot going on right now and tells him to take it somewhere else. Eduardo responds that he is taking it somewhere else and he's taking her with him. Gabi refuses to go anywhere with him.

Hope asks Ben what he remembers. Ben recalls approaching Ciara in the shower and saying he didn't want to do this. Ciara encouraged him to fight it and take back control. Ciara told Ben to either leave or she could help him. Ben told Ciara that he loved her but that he still had to do this. Ben then breaks down crying as Hope asks him what he did.
