Sami sits at home with Allie's baby, talking about regretting what she said to John yesterday. Sami prays that John will be okay and that no one else ever finds out what she said to him. Belle then walks in and questions what secret she's keeping now.

Eric and Nicole go to the hospital. Nicole asks if Marlena stayed the night. Eric says that Marlena would never leave John alone like this so he better find her. Marlena then comes out so Eric asks how John is doing.

Rafe's phone rings before he and Hope can talk. Rafe answers and then tells Hope that he knows where Eve is. Rafe tells her that an employee at the motel recognized Eve and Vincent from a photo. Rafe and Hope then hurry out of the office.

Eve paces in her motel room and declares she will get justice for Paige if it's the last thing she does. Eve says the day Paige died was the worst day of her life so today will be the worst day of Ben's life.

Ciara enters her room at the Salem Inn while Vincent hides behind the door. Ciara tells Ben that she just spoke to Rafe, who said they are close to finding Eve and Vincent. Ben is distracted with a necktie in his hand which Ciara question. Ben tells her it's a surprise. Ciara questions what he's doing with it. Ben assures it's not a bad thing and he didn't mean to scare her. Ben hugs her as Vincent then sneaks out of the room. Ciara asks Ben about his session with Marlena. Ben reveals that he didn't have the session because John got rushed to the hospital.

Marlena tells Eric and Nicole that John had a seizure but he's stable now. Marlena notes that it's not uncommon with brain surgery and that the doctors are running tests so they asked her to wait outside. Eric offers to take her home but Marlena wants to stay so they decide to stay with her. Eric and Nicole talk about John seeming fine when they saw him at home and he told them to respect the restraining order. Nicole adds that they wouldn't have shown up if they knew Sami had taken the baby home. Marlena assures it's not their fault. Nicole informs Marlena that John walked in on a pretty bad scene between her and Sami. Marlena notes that Sami said after they left, she and John had a very civilized visit. Marlena says these things just happen so she assures Nicole and Eric it's not their fault.

Belle tells Sami that she heard her talking about a secret to the baby. Sami thinks back to yelling at John until he collapsed. Sami then claims to Belle that she gave the baby a name but it's just between them because she doesn't want Eric and Nicole to find out that she gave a name before getting custody. Belle informs Sami that she's heard from the court that Nicole and Eric have requested an emergency hearing so Justin can argue to overturn the restraining order and give Nicole and Eric temporary custody. Sami argues that they can't do that but Belle says they did so they have to be at court at 3 PM. Belle warns that if the judge rules in their favor, it could go really fast. Belle suggests Sami pack up some of the baby's things because if things don't go her way, she will have to hand him over today.

Marlena assures Eric and Nicole that John understands they are just trying to do what Allie wanted and then Sami got involved and brought Belle in. Marlena thinks the baby belongs with them and she told Sami that. Nicole asks if Marlena would be willing to say that to a judge. Eric explains that they were going to the court to see if they can get the restraining order overturned. Nicole adds that they will also ask for temporary custody. Marlena hoped it wouldn't end up in court. Eric says they decided this before they knew about John but the hearing is scheduled for this afternoon.

Sami complains that she can't believe Eric and Nicole are doing this to Belle when her father just had brain surgery. Belle points out that Justin filed the motion before John collapsed. Sami asks if she wants to be with John today and if they can't postpone the hearing. Belle says she's already agreed to be there and can't do anything for John but wait and pray. Sami asks how he's doing today. Belle informs Sami that John had a seizure but he's stable now and the doctors are with him so they can't see him. Sami asks about being with Marlena. Belle says she had to prepare for the hearing. Sami asks Belle to stay with the baby while she goes to be with Marlena. Belle offers to pack up some of the baby's stuff but Sami tells her not to worry about it because she is never handing her grandson over to Nicole. Sami then exits.

Ciara asks Ben about John. Ben says that he made it through surgery and that was all Marlena knew but he won't be able to see her for awhile. Ciara was looking forward to Marlena helping him through. Ben claims he's feeling a lot better which Ciara says is great and asks if he has any idea why. Ben flashes back to Vincent asking him if he's clear on what he has to do. Ben tells Ciara that if he wants to get past this once and for all, he knows what he has to do.

Rafe and Hope go to Eve's motel room and burst in with guns raised but she is gone. Rafe goes to check Vincent's room but he is gone as well. Hope notes the lamp is still warm so they just missed Eve.

Eve goes to Paige's grave with a rose and cries that she misses her so much. Vincent appears behind her and startles her.

Ciara asks Ben how come he's so clear in what he has to do. Ben claims he just remembers everything Marlena told him in therapy and having to come to terms with his past to have a future. Ciara asks if he can do that. Ben says he will need her help. Ciara says to just tell her what he needs.

Nicole knows Marlena can't come to court because she has to stay with John but says a written statement might help. Marlena is not sure it would and says she's just so frazzled right now. Eric tells her not to give the hearing another thought. Eric decides to take Marlena to the chapel. Sami then arrives at the hospital and questions what the hell Nicole is doing here. Nicole responds that she's here with her husband so like it or not, she's a family member. Sami argues that she'll never be a member of her family. Nicole informs Sami that Eric took Marlena to the chapel because John had a seizure. Sami argues that Nicole can't fake that she cares because she's too busy taking her to court. Nicole argues that Sami started this with the restraining order. Sami claims she did it to protect the baby. Nicole asks why she isn't with the baby now. Sami says she asked Belle to watch him so she could check on her mother. Nicole notes that she looks exhausted. Sami says the baby didn't sleep much last night and she was worried about John. Nicole brings up it being awhile since Sami raised a newborn. Sami argues about not knowing Sydney was hers at first because of Nicole. Sami calls Nicole poison to everything she touches. Nicole talks about Allie being so desperate to get away from Sami because she's toxic. Sami and Nicole then start shoving each other.

Eric prays with Marlena in the chapel for John. Eric apologizes for Nicole putting her on the spot just now as he knows she doesn't want to take his side against Sami. Marlena asks what Justin says his chances are. Eric says they know Sami will say Allie wasn't in her right mind when she wrote the note so they'd be better off if Allie was here to say what she wanted. Marlena wishes they knew where Allie was. Eric knows what Sami is capable of when she gets like this. Eric says he saw from Nicole that this was the right thing to do. Marlena is sure he prayed for a good outcome for everybody involved.

Sami and Nicole continue to argue over the baby until Eric comes back and breaks it up. Eric says if the judge hears about this, they won't get custody of the baby and no one wants him in foster care. Eric tells Sami that Marlena is in the chapel if she wants to go sit with her. Eric asks Sami to try not to make things worse. Sami tells him to tell that to his wife as she storms out. Nicole tells Eric that she's sorry but Sami is unhinged. Eric assures Nicole that he's on her side and wishes they could do this without going to court. Eric suggests trying to settle out of court but Nicole says Sami won't accept anything but full custody. Eric offers to go see Belle as she doesn't think he will enforce the restraining order if Nicole's not with him. Eric adds that he's worried about Belle so he needs to see how she's doing.

Belle stands over Allie's baby and talks about what he's going through. Belle recalls Shawn and Philip fighting over Claire when she was born and wonders if Claire remembers that time. Belle hopes this ends quickly because there's nothing worse than seeing a child suffer.

Eve tells Vincent that he had no business following her and scaring her in the graveyard. Eve questions what he's doing here. Vincent informs her that he gave Ben his final instructions and he's been completely programmed. Eve asks if nobody saw him. Vincent admits that Ciara came home before he could disappear but he hid and Ben distracted her so he could get out. Eve asks if Ben won't bail on his instruction. Vincent assures that he owns Ben now and he's biding his time to inflict the maximum amount of pain. Vincent declares that Ben will destroy Ciara soon and ultimately himself.

Ciara asks Ben what she can do to help him. Ben says he needs a distraction as they haven't had fun in a long time. Ben says he will put on his suit and she can put on her dress then he will give her a night she'll never forget. Ciara asks where they are going. Ben says it's a surprise.

Rafe makes a call to the police department with Eve's license plate. Hope wonders if someone tipped her off. Rafe says she obviously left in a hurry. Hope points out that Eve will be back because she never would have left her photos of Paige behind and all of her things are here. Rafe points out that Vincent's room is full of stuff too so they are coming back. Hope declares they will be waiting for them.

Eve knows Vincent took a big risk helping her with this plan and she's grateful. Vincent tells her that he did it for the money and it's very satisfying to him to think of Ben suffering. Eve says it looks like it's actually going to happen. Eve then tells him she'd like to be alone with her daughter before all of this goes on. Vincent understands and says there is something he needs to take care of too so he exits.

Eric goes to see Belle at John and Marlena's. Eric knows he's not supposed to be there but says he's so sorry to hear about John as he hugs her. Belle knows he loves John and says she would never turn him away unless Nicole was with him. Eric knows their hearing is set for the afternoon and says he would never drag her to court if he knew this was happening. Belle admits she hoped for a compromise. Eric says that's why he is here.

Sami goes to the chapel to see Marlena. Marlena wishes she could be stronger for her. Sami encourages her to feel whatever she is feeling. Sami says this should not have happened to John. Marlena says she's sorry but Sami says she is the one who is sorry as she has to tell her something. Sami then tells Marlena that what happened to John is all her fault. Sami says she knows she should've told her the truth from the beginning but she was afraid that Belle would drop her as a client. Marlena questions what she did. Sami brings up telling her that she and John were just talking when he collapsed and admits that was a lie. Marlena asks what she means. Sami informs Marlena that John asked Eric and Nicole to leave so she thought he was on her side but he wasn't and he was angry at her for what she's doing so she got angry at him and all her past feelings and resentment came out. Sami reveals that she yelled at John that he's not her family and nothing to Allie and her grandson. Sami cries that she didn't mean it and she was just so mad but then John collapsed. Sami declares that John could die and it's all because of her. Nicole appears at the door, overhearing that and then she walks away.

Eric asks Belle if they can postpone the hearing. Belle thinks the sooner they get it resolved, the better for everyone. Belle says a judge has to decide this. Allie's baby wakes up so Belle says she has to get him a bottle. Eric asks how she's doing. Belle says she's good, just tired as she was at the hospital all night. Belle admits she's scared about John and sad about everything going on when Eric and Sami had always been so close. They both can't believe this is happening. Belle says she told Sami she would see her through this so she has to. Belle says she's sorry and walks away while Eric looks in on the baby.

Sami tells Marlena that she just gets angry and starts yelling so she doesn't blame her if she's mad. Sami asks Marlena not to tell Belle what she said so she doesn't get mad at her.

Eve remains at Paige's grave and says she should be living such a happy life right now but she's here because she got in Ben Weston's way. Eve cries that Paige was the best thing that ever happened to her and she'll always live in her heart, but that is not enough.

Rafe and Hope continue searching Eve's room. Hope decides that if Vincent is still out there, Ciara and Ben need to know about it. Hope calls their room and Ben answers. Hope informs him that she and Rafe found where Eve and Vincent have been hiding and they are in Eve's room now. Hope adds that neither of them were there but she's confident they will have them in custody soon. Ben says Ciara is in the shower. Hope tells him to keep her with him and not to let her leave the Salem Inn until she says they have picked them up. Hope hopes that this nightmare will be over by tonight. Ben agrees not to leave until she tells them it's safe and hangs up. Ciara comes out of the shower. Ben doesn't tell her about Hope's call and they exit the Salem Inn together.

Rafe goes through Eve's old photos of Paige and gets emotional as he brings up how he and Paige had the same father but he never knew until after she was gone. Rafe says Eduardo ran out on Eve and Paige, just like he did their family. Rafe wishes if he had known Paige, he could've done something. Hope encourages that he can't blame himself for this. Hope reminds Rafe of how many people look up to him and how much he means to them. Hope adds that she's one of those people. Rafe brings up everything they have been through. Hope responds that he still means the world to her and then they kiss.

Sami begs Marlena not to tell Belle because she will hate her. Marlena stops Sami and assures that she did not cause John's collapse. Marlena talks about what could cause it and says it could've happened to John when she wasn't there. Sami asks if it's really not her fault which Marlena confirms. Sami thanks her and encourages that John will pull through this and be okay.

Belle puts the baby to sleep and tells Eric that she doesn't think he will give Sami much rest tonight. Nicole then shows up at the door. Eric reminds her that she's not supposed to be here. Nicole says she knows but she had to come. Nicole informs Belle that she might want to rethink representing Sami because of what she did to John.

Eve talks about Paige going to junior prom and says she would do anything to see her again or hear her voice so she then imagines Paige appearing before her.

Ben brings Ciara to a dorm room. Ciara notes that the building is abandoned and asks why they had to dress up to come here. Ciara tries to guess why they came here but says she has no idea so she asks why he brought her here. Ben then reveals this is the room where he strangled Paige Larson. Ciara questions why he would want to bring her here.
