Victor is at home having a drink as he toasts to the peace of a quiet home until Bonnie Lockhart walks in, causing Victor to spit out his drink.

Sami is at the Brady Pub. She calls Allie and leaves another message, hoping she got the photos she texted of her son. Sami adds that the baby is doing great but they all miss her. Sami hopes Allie will be in touch because she wants to know that she's doing alright. Sami hangs up and then Lucas enters the Pub. Lucas sees Sami crying and asks what happened. Sami cries about Allie not responding to the photos of the baby that she sent her. Sami worries that they are never going to see Allie again as Lucas hugs her.

Marlena is in her office, calling Ben to leave a message apologizing for cancelling their appointment at the last minute. Marlena asks Ben to call her so they can reschedule. Kate then enters and asks if she has a moment. Kate tells Marlena that Lucas hasn't heard a word from Allie so she hopes that Marlena has. Marlena responds that she hasn't and suggests maybe Kate will hear from her when she runs out of money. Kate says she won't give her another dime unless Allie reaches out to Marlena. Marlena says she will let her know and adds that she's sorry that Allie didn't reach out to one of them before leaving town. Kate feels badly for the baby as he doesn't even have a name.

At the hospital, Sarah tells Eric and Nicole that Allie's baby is doing great so they can take him home today which surprises them. Eric notes that they haven't even finished the nursery. Nicole notes that they don't have diapers or formula. Sarah offers to keep him another day of observation. Sarah gets a text from Xander, asking what she's wearing. Sarah gets flustered and steps away to answer, telling Xander that she's wearing a lab coat because she's working.

Xander is in his room at the Salem Inn when he gets Sarah's response. He texts her to guess what he's not wearing then takes a shirtless selfie to send back to her.

Sarah goes back to Eric and Nicole. Nicole decides they don't want the baby to spend another night here so they will get everything ready as fast as they can. Sarah gets Xander's text. Eric asks if everything is okay. Sarah say it is and tells them to figure out how much time they will need and she will write the order after lunch. Sarah texts Xander back that she's about to take lunch and she will call. Eric and Nicole talk excitedly about taking the baby home. Sarah gets another text from Xander, telling her to just get there so she tells Eric and Nicole that she has to go. Eric thanks her for everything as she rushes off. Eric wishes they had enough time to nail the custody down. Nicole says at least they have Allie's letter. Eric notes that it's not legally binding and that Sami will go ballistic. Nicole asks if he's changing his mind about keeping the baby.

Sarah joins Xander in his room at the Salem Inn. Xander says he missed her. Sarah points out it's only been two hours. Xander still wants to make up for lost time and tells her that he loves everything about her. Sarah says she has a full schedule. Xander encourages her to eat and shows that he has a meal set up in the room. Xander then suggests they skip straight to dessert as they kiss.

Lucas tells Sami that he went to the hospital and was told that the baby is being discharged today so everything is good and he thought she should know. Sami questions where Lucas is going. Lucas responds that he's going to Will and Sonny's since he got them a baby stroller but they won't be needing it so he thought he'd just give it to Nicole and Eric. Sami stops him and says Nicole won't be taking her grandson anywhere.

Eric tells Nicole that if they bring the baby home, Sami will make their lives a nightmare. Nicole feels Sami is counting on him to think that and that's how she gets what she wants. Nicole asks if what Allie wants doesn't matter. Eric argues that Allie was just thinking about what would drive Sami the craziest. Nicole talks about Allie staying with them and trusting them. Eric worries that they don't know how this will work out. Nicole points out that the baby needs a home and she wants it to be with them even if it's not forever. Eric decides they better get ready to take the baby home then but Belle comes over and says she's sorry but she can't let them do that.

Victor questions what Bonnie is doing here. Bonnie tells him that she brought him a present; an autographed copy of her book. Victor questions her getting out of prison and coming straight here. Bonnie says she has good reason to be here. Victor says he's not interested. Bonnie tells him that she's moved on and has so much to offer. Victor tells her to offer it somewhere else. Bonnie informs him that she's here to see Justin. Victor asks if she thinks she can get with Justin, now that he's broken up with Kayla. Victor says Justin will kick her off but Bonnie reveals that she is Justin's client. Victor doesn't believe her but Justin walks in and confirms it is true.

Eric questions Belle saying that they can't take the baby home. Belle informs them that she has agreed to be Sami's attorney. Nicole says she's not surprised. Belle explains that Sami is terrified about Allie and concerned about her decision for them to adopt the baby as she thinks it was impulsive. Eric says they are very aware of Sami's feelings. Belle asks if anyone has bothered to ask about their feelings or if Allie even discussed the decision with them before disappearing. Eric admits she didn't. Nicole explains that they agreed that they want to carry out Allie's wishes. Nicole says it makes sense and tells Belle that she doesn't really have a say in it. Belle then reveals that she does as she hands them a restraining order, preventing them from taking custody of Allie's baby.

Kate finds it difficult to believe that Allie actually wants Nicole to raise her baby. Marlena points out that Allie stayed with them for awhile when she was here and got very close with Nicole. Kate argues that she only came up with this because Sami stopped Rafe and then Will from adopting the baby. Kate thinks Allie has no idea who the real Nicole is. Marlena argues that the real Nicole has been a very good mother to Holly and a good wife to Eric. Kate remarks that Nicole wasn't a good wife to Lucas. Marlena says Allie has asked them to look after her child and she's sure they will be very good parents. Kate questions expressing that to Sami. Marlena admits that Sami despises the idea and that she said she will never change her mind.

Sami informs Lucas that Belle is representing her. Lucas is surprised Belle took that on. Sami adds that Belle already got a judge to issue a restraining order, stopping Nicole from taking the baby out of the hospital. Lucas asks what happens to the baby then. Sami declares that she will take him home and then the day after, she will take him back to Italy with her but Lucas says like hell she will.

Xander and Sarah eat chocolate covered strawberries together. Sarah wishes she didn't have to go back to work but says next week she can spend a whole day with him here, eating dessert. Xander responds that he might not have a whole day to spend with her next week or for weeks to come which Sarah questions. Xander informs her that Victor is coming back from Greece today so they might not have much time to play when Victor puts him back to work at Titan. Sarah asks if he really thinks he might do that. Xander hopes he'll be put back as CEO.

Victor questions what is wrong with Justin and brings up what Bonnie did to Adrienne. Justin says he'll never forget that. Victor asks why he would take her on as a client then. Justin explains that her publishing house is taking unfair advantage of her so she has every right to sue. Victor calls him a damn fool. Bonnie calls Victor rude. Victor tells Bonnie to get out but Justin says Victor can't throw her out because she's here to see him. Justin says he won't change his mind so Victor declares either she goes or he does.

Nicole asks if Sami is suing for custody. Belle says she can't discuss her plans with them. Eric questions how Sami got Belle to do her dirty work. Belle explains that Sami thinks Nicole manipulated Allie into giving them custody. Nicole argues that's not true as she didn't say a word about taking the baby and was shocked by the letter. Belle believes her and admits they would make excellent parents but thinks Allie wasn't making an informed decision. Nicole and Eric blame Sami pressuring her. Eric argues that Sami didn't even finish the letter. Eric suggests they all get together and talk this out to make a rational decision. Belle says they won't get rational with Sami. Nicole questions why she is representing her then and asks if she cares what Allie wants. Belle admits she feels bad for Sami as a mother. Belle says she's getting a second chance with Claire so she thinks Sami deserves the same with Allie. Nicole argues that Sami doesn't care about Allie or the baby. Nicole calls Sami a selfish bitch which Belle thinks is harsh. Nicole declares that they will not give the baby up without a fight.

Lucas tells Sami that she's not taking his grandson on a plane away from his family. Sami argues that she has to get back to EJ. Lucas asks who will take care of the baby then. Sami says she will make time for him. Lucas blames Sami for Allie getting pregnant. Sami calls that unfair and blames Kate for giving Allie money. Sami says she's a good mother which Lucas questions, pointing out that her own daughter wants nothing to do with her. Sami complains that he's just trying to hurt her and storms out of the Pub. Lucas goes after her and tells her that she pushes too hard, blaming Sami for Allie being gone. Lucas declares that Allie hates Sami and wants nothing to do with her so Sami then slaps Lucas. Lucas repeats that this whole thing is her fault.

After Victor leaves the room, Justin tells Bonnie not to worry about him. Bonnie acknowledges that she did terrible things to Adrienne, Victor, and Maggie. Justin tells her that he hasn't received any response from her publisher after the press conference. Bonnie informs him that she came by to give him a present for being her lawyer. Justin says she didn't have to but Bonnie says she saw it in the store and thought of it. Justin opens the present and it's a cowboy hat which he questions making her think of him. Bonnie thought it might loosen him up a little. Bonnie brings up that people have told her that Justin can sing. She encourages him to try on the hat so he does. Justin thanks her and calls it thoughtful.

Sami tries to apologize for slapping Lucas but says he said hurtful things to her. Lucas argues that Sami went behind his back and got a restraining order without even talking to him. Lucas doesn't want to fight with her but says they need to figure this out together. Sami responds that she already figured it out. Lucas argues that she doesn't have the right to take someone else's baby out of the country. Lucas says it's his grandson too. Sami asks if he wants Nicole to raise him suddenly. Lucas clarifies that he doesn't want that either so Sami asks what he does want. Lucas suggests the baby could live with him and Kate at the DiMera Mansion.

Kate asks Marlena what Sami's plan is. Marlena responds that Sami has hired Belle to represent her so Belle got a restraining order against Eric and Nicole to stop them from taking the baby from the hospital. Marlena wishes Sami didn't drag Belle into this. Kate feels they have all been dragged into it. Kate would rather see the baby with Sami or Lucas than Nicole. Marlena points out that it's not just Nicole, but Eric too. Kate says a lot of people might see that as Marlena favoring her son over her daughter.

Belle didn't realize Eric and Nicole felt so strongly about taking custody. Belle hopes Allie comes back and changes her mind to raise the baby herself. Eric points out that she might still do that. Belle hopes they can just work through this so nobody gets hurt. Belle tells Eric that he's her brother and she loves him as she hugs him. Belle says to take care and then walks away. Nicole asks Eric what if Allie does come back. Eric asks what if the baby's father shows up. Nicole worries that Eric's heart would be broken again so if he wants to pull out of this, she will back him 100%. Eric responds that he said that before he knew what Sami was up to. Eric declares that Nicole is right in that Sami is not thinking about the baby, she doesn't want Nicole to have him so they have to do what's best for the baby. Eric just wishes he knew what the next step is. Nicole thinks she knows and they exit the hospital together.

Sarah asks Xander what he'll be getting into while she goes back to work at the hospital. Xander gets a text about meeting with Victor. Sarah asks if he really thinks Victor will replace Brady with him. Xander brings up that before he left, Victor said Brady was probably going to step down and if he did, Xander was his first choice to replace him. Xander hopes this meeting will get the ball rolling. Sarah knows how much that means to him and says she's very proud of him. Xander calls it the most amazing 24 hours of his life. Sarah says hers too and they kiss.

Eric and Nicole walk into the Kiriakis Mansion where Bonnie is adjusting Justin's cowboy hat. Eric apologizes as he thought Justin was alone. Justin informs them that Bonnie is a client. Nicole apologizes for not calling first and says they will go but Justin says that's not necessary. Justin asks Bonnie if their meeting is over. Bonnie says she was just about to take off. Justin says he will call her when he hears from the publishing department. Bonnie thanks him for everything and exits. Eric jokes with Justin about the cowboy hat. Nicole asks him about it. Justin explains that Bonnie thought he needed to loosen up. Justin assures that after he finishes this problem with the publisher, he won't be seeing her anymore. Eric says he doesn't have to explain. Justin asks what he can do for them. Nicole hopes he has time for two more clients because they could really use his help.

Marlena tells Kate that if she's taking anybody's side, it's Allie's since she has a right to be respected as the birth mother. Kate argues that Allie abandoned her baby so she has given up any say in the matter. Marlena thought she would have more compassion since they are both mothers who have been through so much with their children. Kate calls Marlena a wonderful mother and a great friend. Marlena says the same about her. Kate says the situation is just pushing a lot of buttons for both of them but they are on the same side as they just want the best possible care for the baby from the best possible person. Kate guesses they are lucky so many people love the baby and want to take him in. Kate brings up the hell that Will went through when Sami and Lucas were battling over custody so she wouldn't want any child to go through that and hopes it doesn't happen.

Sami questions that she can't take their grandson to a beautiful villa in Italy but Lucas wants to take him to the DiMera Mansion with crazy Gabi Hernandez and Kate. Lucas doesn't mind her having custody as long as she doesn't leave Salem. Sami argues that she doesn't live here and doesn't even have a place to stay. Lucas questions if she can't stay with Marlena and John until she finds her own place. Sami brings up EJ. Lucas asks what about him and says this is her final offer.

Sarah and Xander kiss until she says they have to stop now but she'd love to pick up where they left off when she gets off work and celebrate his new job. Xander admits they can't count on that yet since it is Victor, who loves to pull the rug out. Sarah thinks he will go through with it and says she believes in Xander as she then exits the room.

Nicole explains to Justin how Sami fixed it so they can't bring home the baby from the hospital. Justin asks about Allie's letter so Nicole hands it to him. Eric says they realize it's not a legal document. Justin says it's too bad nobody can reach Allie because they'd have a stronger case if she could give a statement in person. Eric assures they are not giving up looking for Allie and he knows Sami and Lucas are looking too. Nicole asks if they have any case without Allie. Justin says he does think so. Eric doesn't want to put him in an awkward position since he was helping Will and Sonny with the adoption before it fell through. Justin assures that they will understand it's what Allie wanted. Justin brings up that Sami will be a formidable opponent. Eric says that's why they need to hire the best. Justin agrees to take the case but says he can't make any guarantees.

Kate and Marlena look in on Allie's baby in the nursery. Lucas and Sami show up as Kate talks about everybody wanting different things. Lucas comments that it's about to get a lot more complicated. Marlena says it doesn't have to be like that if people could relax about their issues and get along for the baby. Sami claims she's happy to do that as long as they don't include Nicole. Sami announces that she and Lucas have come to a decision but they are going to need Marlena's help. Marlena asks what they need her to do. Sami hoped she would let her bring the baby home to her house. Marlena asks for how long. Sami says indefinitely.

Sami and Marlena bring Allie's baby home from the hospital. Sami thanks Marlena for letting them stay. Marlena is not happy about being in the middle of this and complains about Sami's restraining order against Eric because he was trying to do what was right for Allie and the baby. Sami says if it was just Eric, she wouldn't have a problem but not Nicole. Marlena argues that Nicole is a very good mother. Sami says she is too. Marlena states that Sami got what she wants and now she wants Sami to have a civil conversation with Eric and Nicole. Sami agrees to do her best. Marlena says she has to go get more formula since they are almost out. Sami offers to do it but Marlena says she will go because she needs some air anyway. Marlena then exits. Sami tells the baby not to worry because the family loves him so much.

Kate and Lucas walk through the town square. Lucas says he almost thought Marlena would turn Sami down. Kate says Marlena can never say no to Sami like Lucas can never say no to Allie. Lucas asks if Kate thinks they'll ever see Allie again. Kate says she has no doubt. Lucas tells her to call if she hears from her. Kate says she will and walks away. Lucas then bumps in to Bonnie. They argue with each other. Bonnie tells Lucas that she's so over him now and walks off. Lucas then wonders if she has her sights set on somebody else.

Justin walks out of the living room and stops to put the cowboy hat back on as he looks in the mirror. Justin smiles and then heads upstairs.

Victor sits back in the living room and picks up Bonnie's book that she left him then puts it back down. Xander walks in and welcomes him home. Victor tells him that he and Maggie had a wonderful trip. Xander informs Victor that he and Sarah have decided to give it another go. Victor says he's glad to hear that and he's sure Maggie will be too. Xander says he heard Victor put in a good word for him and he appreciates that. Xander mentions that it means a lot for Victor to believe in him. Xander assumes Victor called to discuss where he fits in at Titan when Brady goes. Victor says he's correct. Xander brings up Victor saying he was his first choice to replace Brady. Victor stops him and reveals that offering him that job was a bit too soon..

Sami sits with Allie's baby until Eric and Nicole show up at the door.
