Days of Our Lives Update Wednesday 7/29/20

Will and Sonny go back home. Will tells Sonny that he was worried for a minute since Allie seemed overwhelmed by the paper work but Sonny was great with her. They talk about everything happening so fast and adopting the baby. Will pours them champagne and toasts to their second child. Will can't believe they are having another baby. Sonny admits he thought for sure that Rafe would say yes to Allie. Will then thinks back again to Sami telling him not to tell anyone that she told Rafe not to adopt Allie's baby. Sonny says there is no doubt that they are ready. Will notes that Allie could be signing the papers right now.

Allie continues going over the adoption papers and tells Eric that she's calmed down a little so she doesn't see a need for a lawyer to look at it. Eric thinks it would be a good idea. Allie mentions that Sonny said Justin could explain it all and she trusts him. Nicole then comes home with food. Allie tells them that she feels so relieved now so she just wants to sign the adoption papers and make it real. Nicole questions when she got the papers. Eric explains that Will and Sonny just brought them over. Nicole tells Allie that before she signs anything, she thinks there is something she should know about her mom. Allie asks what she did now.

Sami enters the interrogation room. Rafe tells her that he's in the middle of a major man hunt right now. Sami says it will just take a second as she heard that he told Allie that he wasn't going to adopt her baby so she wanted to thank him from the bottom of her heart. Rafe says she's welcome. Sami then sits down and tells Rafe that she has one more tiny favor to ask. Sami says that Allie believes it was Rafe's idea to not adopt the baby and it his decision but she can't know that she had anything to do with it.

Ciara questions what Orpheus has against her. Clyde brings up Orpheus' son Christian will be behind bars for a long time because Ciara held a gun on him until he admitted to killing Jordan. Ciara asks if Clyde really thinks Orpheus would blow up a church full of people just to get back at her for that. Clyde notes that Orpheus definitely knows how to hold a grudge and there's no better way to hurt her than taking her husband from her. Ciara asks if he thinks Ben was kidnapped. Clyde tells her that Orpheus loves explosions and Hope just got a key to the city for stopping him from blowing up John and Marlena. Ciara mentions that they were also at the wedding. Clyde says it makes sense. Ciara tells Clyde that she will have to talk to the warden if she's going to question Orpheus. Clyde tells her that she's not going to question Orpheus because he's not here. Ciara questions what he's talking about. Clyde repeats that Orpheus is not in this prison anymore.

Ben calls for whoever is holding him captive to show their face as the door then opens so Ben asks who is there.

Lucas goes to the DiMera Mansion where Kate is in the living room on her laptop. Lucas informs her that he has news for her. Kate cuts him off and says she already knows he slept with Bonnie so she doesn't need the details but she wants to know why the hell he would do that.

Rafe tells Sami that all he told Allie was that after what happened with David, he wasn't ready to adopt her baby which is true. Rafe adds that he didn't say a word to her about Sami and he intends to keep it that way. Sami notes that Lucas is the only other person who knows so she's off the hook. Rafe stops her and says maybe not.

Allie decides she doesn't want to know what Sami did now as she wants her to keep the baby and will tell anyone who will listen. Eric notes that Sami does obsess on things. Allie says no matter what, Sami will not change her mind about giving up the baby for adoption. Nicole points out that Allie did make up her mind about giving the baby to Rafe. Allie responds that Rafe is not an option anymore since he said he's not ready to take on another baby. Nicole reveals that's what Rafe told her, but it's not exactly the truth.

Ciara questions Clyde as to where Orpheus is. Clyde responds that he doesn't know as a few weeks ago, he just disappeared. Ciara questions that further. Clyde explains that no one knows what happened and the guards wouldn't answer any questions. Ciara states that if Orpheus did get out, he could definitely have planted the bomb at her wedding and done this to Ben. Ciara declares that they have to find him.

A man approaches Ben and introduces himself as Vincent. He tells Ben that he is the man who blew up his wedding. Vincent talks about planting the bomb and waiting for the right moment to detonate right after they were pronounced man and wife. Ben asks where the hell Ciara is. Vincent informs him that Ciara is just fine as she wasn't the target, Ben was.

Ciara knows Clyde still has contacts on the outside so he has to get them to find Orpheus. Clyde agrees to get the word out to his people. Ciara tells him that he has to help her. Clyde brings up Orpheus possibly making a deal with the ISA and that would make it very hard to find him. Clyde knows Orpheus wanted to hurt a lot of people at the wedding. Clyde advises her not to just count on him because she needs another level of help here. Ciara points out that the cops are already on it so she doesn't know what he means. Clyde suggests she get Rafe to lean on the warden to find out what they did with Orpheus and go from there. Ciara agrees to try but Clyde tells her to do better than that because he's counting on her to save Ben's life again.

Lucas questions Kate as to who told her that he slept with Bonnie. Kate mentions that Harold told her he saw Bonnie leaving his room while buttoning her blouse. Kate asks if Lucas fell off the wagon again as that's the only explanation she can imagine. Lucas tells her that he didn't and that Bonnie is the last woman he would sleep with. Kate questions what the explanation is then. Lucas tells her that when he woke up, Bonnie was in his bed so he kicked her out immediately. Kate says she doesn't blame him since she tried to pass off her daughter's baby as his. Kate says she's so relieved and then asks Lucas what his news is. Lucas informs Kate that Will is going to adopt Allie's baby.

Will tells Sonny that if they and Allie are on the same page, this could move really fast so they need to get all the things that babies need. Will decides he will make a list but Sonny says there is something important they need to do first.

Sami questions if Rafe told someone that she talked to him about turning Allie down. Rafe admits that he did so Sami asks who he told. Rafe informs her that he ran in to Nicole. Sami thought she was still on her honeymoon. Sami questions Rafe telling Nicole that she talked to him about not adopting Allie's baby. Sami argues that Nicole hates her so she would tell Allie to just turn her against her. Sami asks how he could do this. Rafe explains that Nicole didn't understand why he didn't want to adopt the baby. Sami says it's not Nicole's business. Rafe says they are friends and Nicole knows how broken up he was over David and that he wants kids. Rafe explains that Nicole pretty much guessed that Sami interfered so he didn't deny it. Sami accuses him of throwing her under the bus. Sami thanks him for nothing and decides she has to go shut Nicole up as she storms out of the room. Rafe remarks that did not go well.

Eric asks what Nicole is talking about. Nicole explains that she ran in to Rafe on her way home and they were talking about Allie and the baby. Nicole says that Rafe told her why he turned her down and that losing David is not the only reason. Eric asks what the real reason is. Nicole reveals that Rafe said that adopting Allie's baby was complicated enough already because Sami got to him. Nicole states that Rafe hadn't made a decision until Sami made up his mind for him.

Will brings Arianna to the living room with Sonny. Sonny says they need to talk to her about something very important. Will says it's good news about something she said she wanted. Arianna excitedly asks if they are finally getting a puppy.

Kate tells Lucas that she's confused because Allie asked Rafe to adopt the baby. Lucas guesses Rafe changed his mind about having another kid. Kate is surprised since Rafe has told her a number of times that not having children is the disappointment of his life. Lucas talks about Rafe not trying again yet after David. Kate understands how it feels to have a child taken away but in this case, Rafe is still involved in David's life and Allie wasn't going to change her mind. Kate finds it odd that Rafe turned her down. Lucas suggests asking Rafe about it and tries to leave but Kate stops him and asks what he's keeping from her.

Allie questions Sami being the one who made Rafe say he can't adopt her baby. Eric tries to calm her down but Allie shouts that she wants to know what Sami said. Nicole explains that she doesn't know her exact words but Rafe said being a father to Sami's grandchild would be very complicated and he admitted that Sami made a big point about it. Allie argues that Sami has no right to butt in to their lives. Sami then knocks on the door, calling for Nicole to open the door but Allie answers it.

Ciara goes to the interrogation room and tells Rafe that Clyde swears he didn't do it and she believes him. Ciara talks about the look on his face when she told him Ben was missing. Rafe asks about the wedding gift. Ciara explains that he just sent them some money. Rafe guesses it was a dead end but Ciara says maybe not as Clyde said there's a chance that Orpheus planted the bomb. Rafe questions what Orpheus would get out of it. Ciara explains that Clyde thinks he was trying to get to her.

Ben questions Vincent about him being the target. Vincent states that the explosion was specifically designed so that Ben would take the brunt of the blast and he could drag him to the trunk of his car without anyone seeing. Vincent tells Ben that he brought him here. Ben points out that he went through a lot of trouble to get him here and asks him why. Ben yells at him to answer why he blew up his wedding and bring him here. Vincent reveals he did it because he was paid to.

Ciara reminds Rafe that she dragged Christian to the prison to make him confess so she's the reason that Orpheus's son is in prison right now. Rafe points out that bombs are Orpheus' specialty. Ciara points out that Marlena and John were at the wedding so he could have settled a lot of grudges with that one explosion. Rafe questions why he would put the bomb in the vestibule then instead of the chapel because it would do a lot more damage. Rafe guesses he needs to have a chat with Orpheus but Ciara informs him that he can't because Clyde said Orpheus is not in prison anymore. Rafe argues that's not possible. Ciara explains that Clyde said Orpheus has been missing for weeks, the prisoners don't know why, and the guards aren't saying anything. Ciara adds that the warden wouldn't see her after the way she stopped Ben's execution. Ciara hoped Rafe could call the warden and get him to answer some questions. Rafe complains that his department should've been notified before Orpheus was moved anywhere so he damn well better give him some answers.

Arianna asks when they are getting a puppy. Will and Sonny say they aren't getting a puppy. Arianna asks why not. Will says it'd be a bit much to get a new puppy and a new baby at the same time. They tell Arianna that she will be getting a little brother or sister and ask her if that's great.

Kate brings up Lucas and Sami just picking up Allie from the hospital and questions Lucas not knowing the whole story about why Rafe turned down Allie. Lucas thinks back to Sami telling him about convincing Rafe not to adopt Allie's baby. Lucas tells Kate to let it go, claiming he has no idea why Rafe changed his mind. Kate accuses him of lying to her.

Sami asks why Allie isn't at Marlena's. Allie responds that she's not staying there anymore and that was her idea. Sami says they will talk about that later but she has to talk to Nicole right now in private. Allie asks about what. Sami says it's between them. Allie asks if her and Eric are supposed to stand in the kitchen while she threatens Nicole to keep her mouth shut. Allie reveals that Nicole knows the truth and thanks to her, she does too. Sami questions what she means. Allie tells her to save it because the only reason she's here is because Nicole knows she's the one who talked Rafe out of taking her baby.

Sonny asks what Arianna thinks since she always wanted a little brother or sister. Arianna asks where they are getting the baby. They explain to her that Allie doesn't feel ready to take care of her baby so she is letting them adopt the baby and they can all raise the baby together.

Kate asks what Lucas is hiding from her. Lucas claims to not know what she's talking about. Kate calls him a terrible liar. Kate says as soon as they started talking about Allie and the baby, his face changed. Kate asks what Lucas is hiding but Lucas says he can't tell her. Kate questions if he's covering for Sami again.

Sami remarks that Nicole has been a busy girl. Eric tells her to leave her alone. Sami questions him defending her and tells Nicole to mind her own business. Allie says she'd say the same thing to Sami while at least Nicole thinks about her and what she wants. Sami argues that she's thinking about what is best for her. Nicole says that Allie deserves all of the facts before she signs the adoption papers. Allie says that she was about to sign them but that was before she found out what Sami did.

Rafe finishes a call with the warden and informs Ciara that the warden said that the feds showed up with documentation and took Orpheus into custody. Ciara brings up that Clyde said it's possible that Orpheus made another deal with the ISA or he could be in witness protection. Rafe says all he knows is that someone high up is pulling strings and he's sick of it. Rafe decides he will call Shane at the ISA and find out what the hell is going on.

Ben asks Vincent who his employer is. Vincent responds that he's the same person who hired him to deliver the little wedding gift. Ben thinks back to talking to Will about Clyde saying he was sending a wedding gift. Ben asks Vincent if Clyde put him up to this. Vincent laughs and says no but if he thinks that's possible, they must have a complicated relationship. Ben questions who put Vincent up to this then, screaming at him to tell him. Ben argues that he deserves to know. Vincent warns that he's in no position to be making demands as he pulls out a baton and hits Ben across the knee with it.

Rafe talks to Shane on the phone and says he's sick and tired of Orpheus showing up in Salem and wreaking havoc every few years. Rafe declares that if Orpheus planted a bomb, blew up a church, and kidnapped a young man from his wedding then he wants that son of a bitch. Rafe thanks Shane and hangs up. Ciara thanks Rafe as she knew he would be able to do something to help her. Rafe assures that he will always try to help her. Ciara mentions that Clyde said now that she is Ben's wife, she has to be the one to save him. Rafe says that sounds like something Clyde would say. Ciara adds that she wants to save Ben but she doesn't know where to start or what to do. Ciara cries that she's so scared as she doesn't even know if Ben is alive or not. Rafe hugs her and encourages that they will find him.

Arianna tells Sonny and Will that the baby cries and makes dirty diapers. Sonny adds that it also makes her a big sister. Arianna says she really wanted a puppy and goes back to her room to watch TV. Will tells Sonny that didn't go as planned. Sonny thinks she just needs time as it's not real for her yet. Sonny suggests they could sweeten the pot but Will says there's no way they could handle a newborn baby and house breaking a puppy at the same time. Sonny asks what if makes Arianna so happy that she accepts the baby. Will jokes that he's trying to bribe their daughter and decides he has no problem with that.

Kate tells Lucas that she knows exactly how Sami works and guesses she convinced Rafe not to adopt the baby and now she doesn't want Allie to know. Lucas confirms that and says the sad thing is that Sami and Allie need each other but Sami keeps interfering in Allie's life and if she does that, she's going to lose her daughter forever. Lucas admits Kate was right but asks her not to say a word to Allie or else they will have a problem.

Sami complains that she didn't do anything. Allie says she talked to Rafe behind her back. Sami says that Rafe is his own man and doesn't do anything he doesn't want to do. Allie asks what she said to him then. Sami says they mostly talked about how complicated the situation would be. Allie blames Sami for making it that way. Sami understands Allie is angry at her but insists that Rafe is at peace with the decision that he made while Will and Sonny are thrilled and can't wait to adopt her baby as they love the idea. Sami remarks that everyone would be happy and they wouldn't even be having this conversation if Nicole had just stayed out of it. Sami urges Allie to just sign the adoption papers and be done with it.

Will brings Arianna back to the living room and informs her that they have decided once they have the new baby then they can start looking for a new puppy. Sonny tells her that if she wants a puppy, she's getting one which excites her. Arianna then stops and asks if this is a bribe to make her want the baby. Will questions where she learned the word bribe. Arianna responds that Gabi taught her because she does it all the time. Sonny asks if it works. Arianna says sometimes as they hug.

Kate questions covering for Sami. Lucas says not really but tells her that if Allie finds out what Sami did then she might not give the baby to Will and then the family will fight so it will be hell for him. Lucas asks Kate not to let that happen. Kate assures that Allie won't find anything out from her but the truth will come out eventually.

Sami tells Allie to just sign the papers but Allie questions what is with her pushing her to sign. Eric suggests they take a minute to cool off. Nicole agrees but Sami tells her to butt out. Allie tells Sami that she tries to run everything and she's so tired of it. Allie complains that it's her life and her body. Allie then gets a stomach pain. Sami asks if she's in labor. Allie thinks that she is. Sami encourages her to breathe.

Rafe brings Ciara an apple and water since she can't remember the last time she ate. Rafe gets a call back from Shane and asks if he's sure. Rafe thanks him and says he owes him as he hangs up. Rafe reveals to Ciara that it wasn't Orpheus as he was transferred to a federal super max prison so he's not going anywhere. Rafe declares there is absolutely no way that Orpheus could've planted the bomb and orchestrated the kidnapping from there. Ciara says they are back to square one then and questions if it wasn't Orpheus then who the hell was it.

Vincent hits Ben with the baton again until a woman's voice says that's enough and she will take it from here. She enters the room, revealing Eve Donovan as the one who has had Ben kidnapped.
