Steve and Kayla return to Salem and walk through the town square. They welcome each other home. Kayla brings up how Steve was leaving town and she doesn't know what she would've done if she missed him at the airport. Steve says he has to do something that can't wait so he sits her at a table and says he'll be right back.

Lucas wakes up with Bonnie next to him in bed.

Allie wakes up her in hospital room where Sami is at her side to ask how she's feeling. Allie responds that she can't wait to get out. Sami informs her that Sarah said she will be released in a couple of hours. Sami mentions hearing Rafe that came to visit her so she asks if he finally agreed to adopt her baby. Allie reveals to her that Rafe turned her down. Sami claims she's so sorry which Allie questions.

At the Kiriakis Mansion, Sonny tells Will that he can't believe while he was hanging out with his dad yesterday, Will could've been killed in the church explosion. Will admits it was scary but he's fine and so are Allie and her baby. Sonny asks if there's any word on Ben but Will says no. Will admits he's worried and feels bad for Ciara. Sonny encourages that maybe they will hear something soon. Will responds that he does know one thing; the cops are questioning Claire.

Claire is brought to the interrogation room with Belle and Shawn where she is being questioned by Rafe. Rafe asks if Claire had anything to do with the bomb at the wedding. Belle responds, claiming it's not possible because Claire was with her at her mother's house the whole time so she had no opportunity to plant a bomb but Claire reveals she actually did. Rafe asks if Claire just said she planted the bomb. Claire clarifies that she is just saying she wasn't at Marlena's all day because she left for half an hour to take a walk and get fresh air but then came home. Belle points out that she wasn't gone long and didn't go anywhere near the church. Claire says she wouldn't dare after Ciara banned her from the wedding and her life. Claire tells Rafe that she went to the park, sat on a bench, and then went back home. Rafe asks if she saw anyone. Claire says she wasn't really paying attention. Belle calls this ridiculous and can't believe Rafe dragged her down here when they have nothing. Rafe responds that it's not nothing since Ciara suspected Claire of drugging her drink the other night and it's not the first time. Belle argues there is no proof. Rafe points out that there is history. Belle says they are not going there and argues that he has no reason to hold Claire. Belle demands he either charge her or let her go.

Sonny asks Will if he thinks there's any chance Claire could be responsible for the explosion. Will says it seems impossible since Claire's dad and grandparents were at the wedding. Sonny can't stop thinking about what's going to happen with Allie's baby then asks if Will knows something. Will mentions seeing Rafe go to Allie's room as he was leaving the hospital. Sonny guesses there's a good chance Rafe was going to agree to adopt Allie's baby.

Allie asks if Sami is really sorry that Rafe turned down adopting her baby. Sami thinks back to asking Rafe not to adopt the baby and claims to Allie that she is sorry because she knows that's what she wanted. Allie points out it's not what Sami wanted. Sami admits she's been against her giving the baby to anyone but notes that after the explosion, she thought she might lose her so she just wants her to be happy. Sami asks if she wants to talk about what happened with Rafe. Allie tells her that Rafe just said he wasn't ready after everything with David. Sami sees how disappointed she is and says she's sorry for that but she's on her side. Sami asks if now that Rafe is an option, if maybe she wants to reconsider giving her baby up for adoption. Sami tells her that she and Lucas both want to help. Sami then wonders where Lucas is since he said he was coming to see her.

Bonnie tells Lucas that she snuck in to surprise him. Bonnie tells him that she found her book on his nightstand and there's a bookmark on the chapter she wrote about him. Lucas brings up Bonnie letting him think she was Adrienne back then. Bonnie tells him that now is the chance to let her rock his world while he's sober.

Steve brings Kayla flowers and they talk about their trip. Kayla says it was like a dream as they kiss. Justin then walks in to the town square and sees them. Steve gets up and approaches Justin to talk about how he stopped the wedding to tell Kayla the truth. Steve says that took courage and thanks him.

Bonnie tells Lucas that she wants to make things up to him and points out that they are already in bed. Lucas tells her it's not going to happen and tells her to go away. Bonnie suggests they bond then and brings up Lucas opening up to her about Allie. Bonnie encourages him to stay strong and do whatever it takes to make sure Allie keeps her baby. Lucas admits her advice wasn't horrible. Bonnie knows Lucas is lonely but says they don't have to be. Bonnie wants a do over with no strings and promises this time he will remember everything.

Rafe agrees to let Claire go but says not to leave town. Belle says she will be going home to get some rest. Shawn says he'll be right behind them and assures everything will be okay. Belle and Claire then exit. Rafe tells Shawn he's sorry that was rough. Shawn knows he has a job to do so he wants to stick around and help him solve the case.

Allie tells Sami that she doesn't know where Lucas is and suggests she go find him or fly back to Italy. Sami wants her to understand she has options. Allie assures her decision to give her baby up for adoption is final. Sami says that's one decision but there are a lot more to go. Allie says no. Sami asks if she doesn't want to talk in general or just not to her. Allie says she's just tired. Sami tells her to get some rest and she'll be back in a bit as she then exits. Allie then grabs her phone.

Will tells Sonny that he's happy for Rafe. Sonny notes that he'll be a great father. Will then gets a call from Allie, who asks he and Sonny to come to the hospital right away. Will says they will be right there as they hang up. Sonny asks if everything is okay. Will tells him that Allie wants to see them right away. Sonny guesses she wants to break the news to them that she's giving her baby to Rafe. Sonny knows it's not the outcome they wanted but they did promise to support Allie no matter what. Will says that is what they will do as they exit.

Belle and Claire go home. Claire hopes she's not mad at her for telling Rafe that she went to the park. Belle says she's not. Claire worries about if Rafe looks into it and if nobody saw her at the park then she gets arrested. Belle hugs her and offers to make her tea but Claire says she doesn't feel well and wants to lay down. Belle says she's here for her and loves her as Claire heads to her room. Belle sends a text to Shawn that she thought he was right behind them. Sami arrives and asks Belle about Claire. Belle tells her that she's resting. Sami asks how Belle is doing. Belle cries that she's not good as Sami hugs her.

Lucas turns Bonnie down and tells her this is goodbye forever.

Sami tells Belle that she can't believe Rafe questioned Claire. Belle gets why Claire is a suspect but insists she did not do this. Sami remarks that it won't stop Rafe from charging her since they lock up the wrong person in this town all the time. Sami knows Belle just wants to protect Claire but to do that, she needs to take her out of the country immediately.

Rafe is not sure Shawn should be pitching in on this case. Shawn knows he has a bias since Claire is his daughter but Ciara is his sister so he wants to help. Shawn declares that their first order of business should be to eliminate Claire as a suspect as he knows she did not do this. Shawn says they need to find the person responsible, arrest them, and get justice for Ciara. Shawn says they both want the same thing here and can do it better, faster, and easier if they work together on this.

Will and Sonny go to see Allie at the hospital. Allie asks if Sami is still lurking in the nurses station. Will says they didn't see her and asks if she did something and if that's why she asked them to come. Allie responds that she called because there has been a change in her situation. Allie informs them that she wanted to tell them in person that she would very much like it if they would adopt her baby, which surprises them. Will doesn't understand since she said she wanted Rafe to adopt her baby. Allie reveals that Rafe turned her down last night since he's not ready after everything with David. Will asks if she's sure she wants them to be the parents with the thought of her brother raising her child. Allie talks about waking up after the bomb and not knowing if the baby would be okay. Allie says it made her realize how much she cares about the baby so she wants it with people she knows and trusts in her own family. Allie confirms that she is absolutely sure. Sonny thanks her for putting her faith in them and says they feel incredibly lucky. Allie hopes they don't feel like a fall back plan. Sonny assures they knew that she had asked Rafe before they talked. Will adds that they support her no matter what. Sonny hugs her and says to let them know if she needs anything. Will hugs her and says he loves her. Lucas then enters and asks what's going on. Will says they will let Allie fill him in because they are going to talk to a lawyer. Will and Sonny then exit.

Belle questions Sami wanting her to flee the country with Claire when she did nothing wrong and Rafe says Claire can't leave. Sami brings up that Rafe has no legal way of keeping her when he hasn't charged her and she has every right to go home. Belle worries that if they leave, they'll think she's guilty. Sami says she can say that she's protecting her daughter from the media and press. Belle admits she didn't think of that. Sami brings up Claire being fragile so she could get her on a plane before Rafe comes up with a real reason to stop her. Claire comes out from her room and says she couldn't really sleep. Belle then suggests she go pack because they are leaving Salem.

Justin explains that he didn't want he and Kayla to be together based on a lie as he just wanted Kayla to be happy and clearly she is. Kayla thanks Justin for everything he did. Justin talks about not thinking he'd ever find happiness again after Adrienne but because of Kayla, he now knows it's possible. Steve hopes Justin finds someone who makes him happy. Bonnie then walks into the town square, causing Steve to think it's Adrienne. Bonnie explains that she is Bonnie Lockhart. Steve questions how she could show her face here. Bonnie gets that everyone in town has made it clear that she is not wanted and hated. Steve wants her gone. Bonnie tells him that she'll leave when she's good and ready. Steve threatens to drag her out himself. Kayla suggests they just go. Steve warns that he'll be watching her. Steve steps away. Justin tells Kayla that he doesn't know what her plans are but he moved his stuff out of the apartment so it is all hers. Kayla needs Justin to know that what they had was real and meant the world to her. Justin responds that it meant the world to him too. Kayla and Steve then walk off together.

Allie informs Lucas that Will and Sonny are going to adopt her baby. Lucas calls it the second best outcome he could hope for as he'll still be Grandpa Lucas. Lucas doesn't want her to have any regrets. She assures that she doesn't and she's so grateful that Will and Sonny are still willing even though Rafe was her first choice.

Rafe tells Shawn that there's no security cameras at the church so they don't know for sure if Claire was there. Shawn brings up the security footage from the park and says if it shows Claire then they know she had nothing to do with the bombing. Rafe points out that if it doesn't show her then maybe she wasn't there and then he would have to charge her.

Sonny tells Will how happy he is about adopting Allie's baby but notes that Will looks worried about something. Will thinks back to Sami telling him to keep his mouth shut about her talking to Rafe about not adopting the baby. Will tells Sonny that it's just a lot to think about and do to prepare for the baby. Sonny says he has to go find Justin about the adoption agreement. Sonny invites Will to come with him but Will decides to go see Rafe to make sure he's really ok with this.

Bonnie tells Justin about Lucas wanting her out of his life and says she's sure Justin is thrilled that she is suffering because of what she did to Adrienne. Justin responds that he hates what she did to Adrienne but he's not going to gloat because he's not in the mood. Bonnie brings up seeing how he looked at Kayla and says she tried to warn him that super couples always end up together. Bonnie invites Justin to have a drink. Justin says it's too early for him but Bonnie insists and says she's buying.

Steve and Kayla go to the Brady Pub. Steve notes that Roman isn't working today. Steve asks how Kayla is after running into Justin. Kayla says she's fine but feels bad for Justin. Steve says he does too. Kayla asks Steve about moving in to the apartment with her.

Will goes to the police station and into the interrogation room to ask Rafe if there's any word on Ben. Rafe says no. Will asks about Ciara. Rafe says she's with Hope. Will says he doesn't want to keep him but he just wanted to let him know that Allie offered her baby to he and Sonny to adopt. Will says they are obviously over the moon but they know Rafe was her first choice so he wanted to make sure he was okay with this, especially since he knows Sami pressured him to say no to Allie and told him to keep his mouth shut but he felt guilty and feels bad about the whole interference. Rafe tells Will to just celebrate the great news. Rafe knows Will and Sonny are great parents. Will thanks him then asks Rafe about Claire.

Claire argues that she doesn't understand why they have to leave Salem since they can't charge her with a crime she didn't commit. Claire asks if there's something they aren't telling her. Belle assures it's nothing and she just think it's best that they leave town. Claire asks what if they get stopped at the airport and asks about Shawn. Belle says she will text him on the way. Claire complains that she feels like a fugitive. Belle tells her to just trust her. Shawn then comes home and announces that Claire is in the clear, so it's over. They can't believe it as Belle and Shawn hug Claire.

Kayla tells Steve that she lived alone in the apartment for many months before Justin moved in. Steve tells her that he doesn't care where they live as long as they are together. Kayla likes the sound of that and they kiss.

Justin declines Bonnie's offer for a drink. Bonnie thanks him for not making her day any crappier and walks away. Sonny approaches and questions what Justin was doing with Bonnie. Justin says they just ran into each other but it's not worth getting into. Justin asks how Sonny is. Sonny says he's good and he's glad he found him because he has big news. Sonny then announces that Allie is giving he and Will her baby. Justin calls that wonderful and congratulates him as they hug. Sonny comments that it's just nice to have something to be happy about.

Lucas runs in to Sami at the hospital. Sami questions where he's been. Lucas says he got held up but Allie is signing her release papers and getting her things together. Lucas assumes Sami knows that Allie offered her baby to Will and Sonny because Rafe turned her down. Sami says she didn't know about Will and Sonny but she knew about Rafe. Sami says he's welcome. Lucas asks what she did. Sami tells him that there was no way she was going to let her ex husband raise her grandchild so she convinced Rafe to tell Allie that he's not interested. Lucas can't believe she did that and questions why she did. Sami asks why he's getting upset since he didn't want Rafe to raise the child either. Lucas argues that Allie is going to get mad but Sami tells him that won't happen because Allie doesn't know anything about it. Allie then walks up and asks what she doesn't know anything about.

Shawn explains that the security footage from the park showed Claire was exactly where she said so she's clear of everything and completely exonerated. Claire thanks Shawn and says she feels like she can breathe again. Claire wants to get some rest now but Belle thinks they should hurry up and still try to catch the plane. Belle brings up that Claire said yesterday she was ready to go back to Hong Kong. Shawn adds that Claire is free to go now and agrees that they should go as soon as possible. Claire doesn't see why. Shawn brings up that she's been through so much so he thinks it'd be good. Shawn adds that he'll stay here and help Rafe find out who is actually behind the bombing. Claire knows she agreed to leave before but says everything is different now so she's not going anywhere.

Will tells Rafe that he heard Claire was cleared and asks if there's any other leads. Rafe says not yet. Rafe asks Will about being with Ben most of the day and if he knows anything that might help them find who did this. Will says not really as he was mostly just keeping him away from Ciara because of superstition. Rafe asks if nothing out of the ordinary happened. Will then mentions that Ben did get a call from Clyde from prison. Rafe asks what he said. Will says that Clyde just wanted to wish him well but Ben thought he was upset that he didn't get an invitation even though he couldn't go. Rafe asks if he said anything else. Will then remembers Clyde said something about sending Ben a wedding present.
