Lucas and Kate sit together in the town square where Kate tells Lucas about Abe's speech at the key to the city ceremony having over 300,000 likes. Lucas mocks it but Kate calls it a big accomplishment. Kate says it's only the beginning as she has so many ideas to put the town on a social media map. Kate asks Lucas to show some enthusiasm or support but Lucas doesn't feel like it because he's worried about Allie and what she's going to do with the baby.

Allie, Nicole, and Eric go to the Brady Pub where John and Marlena are. Allie turns and says she doesn't think she can do this but Eric assures that no one will judge her. Allie greets them and says it's good to see them. Marlena is glad she feels that way since she hasn't returned their phone calls. John adds that they thought maybe she was avoiding them. Allie admits that she kind of was which Marlena questions. Allie then unzips her jacket, revealing she is pregnant.

Sonny returns to the Kiriakis Mansion and tells Will that Justin was packing up his stuff. Will calls it pretty brutal. Sonny says he tried to get Justin to come back with him but he said he needed time alone and he has a pretty good idea of where he went. Sonny adds that he just feels so bad because Justin loved Kayla. Will states that he loved her so much that he let her go.

Justin goes to Adrienne's grave at the cemetery and says it's just them again as things didn't work out as he planned. Justin talks about Steve pretending to be over Kayla and he couldn't keep it from her. Justin says he should've known when Steve came back, it would end this way. Justin adds that if there was a chance that Adrienne was alive, he wouldn't stop until he found her and there would be no one else for him. Justin gets up and turns around to see what appeared to be Adrienne and he is stunned as he declares that she is alive.

Kayla buys a flight ticket but is told that she's too late as the flight is closed and the plane left the gate. Kayla breaks down crying but Steve comes back and sees her. Kayla questions what he's doing there when they said he boarded. Steve responds that he changed his mind. Steve asks where Justin is, assuming she's there because they were leaving for their honeymoon. Kayla informs him that Justin is not there because they did not get married.

Justin can't believe it and kisses who he thinks is Adrienne.

Allie apologizes to John and Marlena, thinking they must think she's just her mother all over again. Marlena tells Allie that she loves her mother but she doesn't think that as she is unique in her own way and she loves her just as much. Allie feels stupid. Marlena thinks she's just human but she wishes Allie came to them sooner since they are always here for her. Allie thanks her and mentions that Eric and Nicole have been so great. Eric admits they had their moments. Allie explains that Eric doesn't think she should give the baby up for adoption. Marlena is surprised to hear that she's giving the baby up for adoption. Allie says that Eric thinks it's a terrible idea. Eric clarifies that he just said it's a very big decision. Allie adds that she's made the decision that she's not keeping the baby. Marlena asks if Sami knows. Allie confirms that she does not and that's how she wants it so that's how it's going to stay.

Kate tells Lucas that she thinks Allie is doing the sensible thing since she's not ready to raise a child. Kate brings up how young Lucas was when he got Sami pregnant. Lucas acknowledges that but thanks God every day that he didn't give Will up. Kate brings up what Will went through and says they were not stable. Kate wants Lucas to understand that adoption is not a bad thing. Lucas reminds Kate about Will and Sonny wanting to adopt the baby. Kate doesn't see the issue with that. Lucas argues that it's Allie's baby and asks how complicated it will be. Kate points out that Will and Sonny adopting the baby would keep it in the family so it's not like Allie would be giving the baby to a stranger. Rafe then approaches and says she's right that Allie is not giving it to a stranger.

Justin calls it a miracle that Adrienne is back. She tells him that she's not who he thinks. Justin brings up how Jack and Will couldn't remember who they were either at first. She then clarifies that she's not Adrienne, but Bonnie Lockhart.

Steve asks Kayla what happened. Kayla informs him that Justin stopped the wedding because he found out that Steve had been lying and that he still loved her and wanted her back. Steve questions Justin telling her that. Kayla says that he did and asks why Steve didn't.

Rafe apologizes for butting in but he couldn't help but overhear. Kate tells him that he is butting in because this is a family matter and has nothing to do with him. Rafe reveals that it actually does because Allie asked him to adopt her baby.

Marlena questions Allie being pregnant and her mother not knowing. Marlena asks if that's why Nicole didn't want her to convince Sami to come to her wedding. Nicole says she wanted her to come for Eric's sake but not if she's going to throw Allie under the bus. Marlena guesses it's good that she never reached Sami then. Allie asks if she's mad at her. Marlena says she's just struggling to understand not telling her mother that she's having a baby. Allie argues that everyone thinks she's wrong about everything. Eric encourages that it's just a lot for Marlena to process. Allie apologizes. John asks Allie to try to explain to Marlena why she doesn't want Sami to know about the baby. Allie says that if she knows, she'll only make things worse.

Bonnie tells Justin it's good to see him again. Justin argues that her hair and clothes have her looking like Adrienne even more than before. Bonnie explains that it was her publicist's idea to make her look more conservative. Bonnie says she tried to stay true to her style and talks about her writing career. Justin brings up her book coming out a long time ago. Bonnie says it just came out on paperback and is a best seller. Bonnie declares that she's gone from ex con to best selling author. Justin questions why she is here. Bonnie says she's here to pay her respects.

Kayla questions why Steve didn't tell her how he felt. Steve says he told her he was going to fight for her. Kayla points out that he didn't and asks why not. Steve says he saw how happy she was with Justin and he didn't want to ruin it. Kayla questions why he didn't say something then. Steve says he honestly thought she was better off with Justin. Kayla argues that's not his call. Steve talks about how many times he messed up her life. Kayla complains about Steve thinking for both of them again. Steve brings up Kayla telling him that she was with Justin and that's what she wanted so he wanted that for her but when the reality set in that they were getting married, he realized he couldn't stick around and watch that happen. Kayla asks where he was going. Steve admits he was taking a Black Patch case for the ISA so he was going deep undercover to disappear. Kayla questions him just leaving her to live happily ever after which Steve confirms was the idea. Kayla points out that he got off the flight. Steve admits that he got on, turned around, and got off because he couldn't walk away and leave her. Steve tells Kayla that he loves her too much. Kayla responds by slapping him.

Lucas argues that Rafe might want to adopt Allie's baby but he's sure Allie will have something to say about that. Rafe clarifies that it was completely Allie's idea and caught him completely by surprise. Lucas questions how he even knew she was pregnant since she wasn't telling anybody. Rafe explains that he ran in to her in the town square and she told him. Lucas complains that whenever Allie hears something she doesn't like from him and Sami, she runs to Rafe. Kate says that's not fair while Rafe adds that it's not true. Rafe explains that they talked, Allie told him she was pregnant and he told her that he had lost custody of David. Rafe says next time he saw her, she asked him to adopt her baby and it caught him completely by surprise. Rafe says it was totally her idea and guesses she thinks he'd be a good father to give the child a good home. Lucas then informs Rafe that Will and Sonny are thinking the same thing.

Will checks his phone but tells Sonny there's no text from Allie. Sonny encourages that she just needs time to think things through. Will wants to go talk to her one on one. Sonny doesn't want her to feel pressured. Will just wants to know what she's thinking so Sonny wishes him luck. Will then exits the mansion.

Marlena tells Allie that she doesn't think assuming Sami would make things worse is not fair as she could even be able to help. Allie argues that she won't help, she will take over. Eric decides he's not helping here so he's going to take his things upstairs and unpack which Marlena questions. Eric explains that it's the night before their wedding so it's tradition to stay apart. Allie jokes about them being such a traditional family. Nicole decides to join Eric and says it was great seeing John and Marlena as they head upstairs. Allie guesses she's getting on people's nerves even when she's trying not to. John points out that it seems a lot of people know about her baby and secrets don't stay secret very long in their family. John asks what Sami would think about finding out about the baby from someone other than her. Allie repeats that Sami would just take over and insist on raising the child herself. Allie complains that growing up, her life was like a circus and Sami was the ringmaster so she doesn't want that for her baby. She wants sanity, calm, and peace. Allie asks if they understand now why Sami can't know about this.

Justin questions Bonnie showing her respects when she kidnapped Adrienne, dumped her in a prison, stole her life, and put her through living Hell. Justin can't believe his wife is dead while Bonnie is on a book tour. Bonnie says that's exactly why she's here. Justin argues that Adrienne died helping someone while Bonnie has never helped someone in her life. Bonnie says she's sorry for letting Anjelica use her like that. Justin argues that she's blaming a dead woman for something she did. Bonnie tells Justin to read her book to see how she felt. Justin mocks her cashing in on this and can't believe he's seeing her today of all days. Justin feels God has a sick sense of humor. Bonnie asks what he means by today of all days and what happened. Justin informs her that his life blew up in front of him and then he bumped into her, who he hoped was burning in Hell.

Kayla tells Steve that what he and his arrogance did to Justin was not funny. Kayla accuses him of trying to play God again by lying to her and having this whole operation to cover it up with her best friends and family. Kayla complains that everybody knew but her and Justin had to be kept in the dark because he wouldn't have done this to her. Kayla states that Justin found out and told her that he wouldn't marry her unless she had all the facts. Kayla asks how long it would take for that light to shine on Steve. Steve calls Justin a stand up guy and says that's one of the reasons he thought she would be better off with him. Kayla says it makes her sick about what Justin must be feeling now. Steve insists he's really sorry about that. Steve points out that when she found out, she walked away. Kayla clarifies that Justin did. Steve notes that she didn't go after him. Kayla suggests maybe she should have. Steve points out that she came here to stop him from leaving because she still loves him.

Bonnie questions Justin stopping the wedding and asks why he didn't just keep his mouth shut. Justin says the fact that Bonnie wouldn't have done it, confirms it was the right thing to do. Justin asks if she can leave him alone. Bonnie tells him that eventually Steve and Kayla would have ended up together because super couples end up together no matter what happens, listing off Steve and Kayla, John and Marlena, Jack and Jennifer, and then herself and Lucas.

Kate tells Rafe that it would seem he has competition. Rafe admits he had no idea Will and Sonny wanted to adopt a baby but he told Allie that he wasn't sure since losing David wasn't easy. Rafe asks if Allie knows if Will and Sonny want to adopt. Kate confirms that they told her. Rafe guesses he should talk to Allie and clear this all up which Lucas says would be perfect. Rafe says he'll talk to them later and walks away. Lucas then pulls out his phone. Kate questions what he's doing. Lucas reveals he is calling Sami right now.

Kayla tells Steve that she'll always love him but she's not happy about it. Steve says he knows what they are up against but he got off the plane because he couldn't walk away. Steve says that Jack, Jennifer, and Hope all told him to tell her how he felt but he was adamant that he wasn't going to and he was just going to walk away. Steve says the only person he couldn't convince was himself. Steve tells Kayla that he wasn't trying to play God but to not hurt her again. Kayla cries that she's so mad at him and she feels so bad about what she's done to Justin but she couldn't become his wife, knowing that Steve still loved her. Steve hugs her and assures that he does love her as they cry.

Kate takes Lucas's phone and asks if he's crazy since he promised Allie that he wouldn't tell Sami. Lucas argues that was before he found out that Rafe was going to adopt the baby and if anyone can stop that, it's Sami. Kate suggests maybe he won't have to stop it since Rafe would make a wonderful dad. Lucas says not to his grandchild and asks what Sami would say when she finds out that her ex husband is raising her daughter's child and she's going to find out. Kate knows she will find out but says Lucas shouldn't be the one to tell her, unless he's willing to risk losing his daughter forever because it would be breaking a promise to Allie and betraying her. Kate reminds Lucas how he felt when she tried to guide his life but he forgave her countless times. Kate says she's telling him out of love that Allie is one half Sami which means she's passionate, fierce, and unforgiving so if he's really going to do this, he has to be willing to accept that he may lose her forever.

Marlena agrees not to say anything to Sami since it is Allie's life, baby, and decision but she wishes she'd think about it awhile longer. Marlena understands not wanting to have her mother sweep in and take over everything but points out there's a lot of love there. Allie says she never understood how someone as rational as Marlena produced Sami. Allie repeats that she doesn't want her baby growing up in a circus. Allie then reveals to them that she asked Rafe to adopt her baby which surprises Marlena. Allie explains that she knows first hand what a great dad he is but then Will and Sonny asked to adopt the baby. Marlena asks if she thinks that's a good idea. Allie admits that she doesn't know as she feels like her brother adopting her baby might be weird because she doesn't want to be aunt mommy so it's less complicated with Rafe. Marlena is not so sure about that.

Rafe goes to Eric's apartment and knocks on the door. Will shows up and greets Rafe. Rafe says he was just coming to see Allie but it doesn't look like she's home. Will says that's good because he thinks they need to talk.

Justin tells Bonnie that love makes her delusional, ridiculous, and pathetic. Justin guesses Lucas hasn't forgotten that Bonnie tried to pimp out her own grandchild as his daughter. Bonnie remarks that they have a journey ahead of them. Bonnie places a rock at Adrienne's grave. Justin calls her a dangerous and stupid woman who pretended to be Adrienne. Bonnie responds that she learned that Justin and Adrienne were a super couple too so she's sorry it came to an end. Justin asks her to just leave him alone. Bonnie tells him that she's sorry that he thought she was her as she then walks away.

Kayla asks Steve what now. Steve says he has an idea as Kayla jokes here we go again.

Eric and Nicole go to Eric's room above the Pub. Eric asks if she wants to get married somewhere else. Nicole says no and thought he did, like a church. Eric responds that the Pub is like a church to him and it makes him feel like his grandparents are there. Eric adds that all he needs is her as they kiss.

Bonnie walks through the town square and sees Lucas. She imagines them having a happy reunion and kissing then tells herself that it could happen.

Marlena questions Allie thinking Will adopting her baby would be complicated when Rafe and Sami were married. Marlena sees why Eric is so frustrated since Allie makes this announcement then doesn't want to discuss it with her family. Allie apologizes for getting defensive when she's scared. Marlena feels like her family is being shut out. Allie feels like she's screwed up so badly and she wants to do what's right for the baby. Allie cries that she feels like she keeps letting everybody down so she acts like a little bitch. Marlena tells her that she's been a therapist for years and thinks Allie needs a lot of support from her family as they hug.

Rafe tells Will that he had no idea that he and Sonny were interested in adopting Allie's baby. Will responds that they didn't know that Allie had already talked to Rafe about it and asks if he's made a decision. Rafe says he hasn't. Will tells him that he and Sonny are okay with whatever happens. Rafe says that sounds good.

Justin goes home to the Kiriakis Mansion where Sonny greets him and asks if he's okay. Justin tells him that he just needed some air and now he needs some sleep. Sonny tells him that he knows where he is as they hug. Sonny then heads upstairs. Justin enters the living room and picks up the wedding flowers from the trash can.

Kayla tells Steve that she's scared and excited when he has an idea. Steve points out that they are at the airport so they can get on an airplane and go somewhere to be alone. Kayla accepts Steve's offer and then they kiss.
