Lucas questions Will and Sonny seeing Allie. Sonny confirms that she was just there. Lucas realizes they know then and says he needs their help in convincing Allie not to give up her baby for adoption. Sonny and Will call it her choice if she's not ready to have a child. Lucas says Allie won't listen to him about anything so he was hoping that they could convince her that it's a very bad idea to give her baby up to complete strangers. Will then asks what if they weren't strangers.

Xander goes for a jog through the town square and stops when he comes across Allie. Xander quickly asks when she is due which Allie questions.

Eric comes home to Nicole. Nicole tells him that she's been obsessing over their wedding when this is his wedding too so she wants him to think it's perfect. Eric feels it will be perfect because he's finally marrying the love of his life as they kiss.

Will informs Lucas that he and Sonny want to have another child and have been thinking about adoption or surrogacy so they kind of just realized maybe they could adopt Allie's baby if she's open to it. Lucas says he was just surprised. Will and Sonny say they have explored other options which are complicated. Will adds that if they adopted Allie's baby, the baby would be biologically related to him and Arianna. Sonny calls it the perfect solution but Lucas questions if Allie will feel the same way.

Kayla runs into Steve outside the town square. Kayla notices Steve has Black Patch folders and comments that he and John were always a good team. Steve comments that he's been pretty lucky with teammates. Kayla tries to hurry off but Steve asks her to hold on.

Maggie helps Sarah get unpacked in her room and says she's here to stay. Maggie asks if Sarah will mind living under the same roof as Xander. Sarah says she will mind but notes that it's a very large hosue and adds that he offered to move out but she didn't take him up on it. Maggie points out that she will run into him. Sarah assures that she can handle it. Maggie brings up that Sarah was planning on marrying Xander and she's surprised she held onto the dress. Sarah says she held onto it because it's a beautiful dress, not because she's still in love with Xander.

Allie questions Xander asking when she's due. Xander explains that he just heard her talking to her brother about being pregnant. Allie asks if he was listening at the key hole or something. Xander says he lives at the Kiriakis Mansion too and introduces himself as Victor's nephew. Allie notes that Will told her about him and said to stay away from him. Xander doesn't think she should believe everything she hears. Allie responds that she doesn't care about him one way or the other as she just doesn't want her mom to find out she's pregnant. Xander tells her that her secret is safe with him.

Eli and Lani go home to their apartment. Someone follows them from afar outside the door. Lani informs Eli that she's been having this really creepy feeling like someone is watching her. Eli jokes that people just see how beautiful she is. Eli tells her that this time tomorrow, they will be husband and wife. Eli suggests they go to bed but Lani reminds him he will have to go somewhere else.

Eric hopes he didn't distract Nicole from wedding planning as they kiss. They talk about Holly being at a sleepover so they decide on round two and head to the bedroom.

Allie asks what exactly Xander heard at the Kiriakis Mansion. Xander says he heard that she wasn't sure if she wanted to be the baby's mother. Allie responds that she's sure now that she's not ready to be anyone's mother but if she's lucky, she'll be able to hand the baby off to someone who is ready and her mom will never know she was pregnant. Xander brings up Sami having Will at her age. Xander tells her that she's doing something very brave. Xander adds that someone who does want a baby will be so grateful for the choice she's made. Allie points out that it doesn't have to be a woman. Xander agrees and says it was nice to meet her as he then continues his jog.

Will thinks there are a lot of advantages to keeping Allie's baby in the family so he hopes she sees it that way too. Lucas questions him planning Allie's baby's future and talking to him before talking to her. Will admits maybe they should calm down. Lucas argues that Allie wasn't even sure she wanted to give up the baby until everybody started leaning on her to make a decision. Sonny asks who is everybody. Lucas explains that Eric said he's worked with girls like Allie at the Horton Center and that they should back off and give her time. Lucas warns them not to push her. Sonny assures they would never do that. Will says they only told him because they thought Lucas would be supportive. Will brings up that one adoption agency already gave them the run around because they don't like their domestic situation and then he questions if that's Lucas's problem with them adopting Allie's baby.

Steve tells Kayla that he heard she and Justin set a date. Kayla confirms it's next Friday afternoon. Steve hopes they are both really happy and wishes the best for them. Kayla thanks him and asks if one of their kids told him about the wedding. Steve says Jack mentioned it and guesses he got an invitation. Kayla explains that they were keeping it small with just friends and family so Jack will be there since he's Justin's brother-in-law. Kayla then acknowledges that Steve is too. Steve says it's okay. Kayla says she didn't want to put him on the spot but she sees now that she should've let that be his choice. Kayla then asks Steve if he wants to come to the wedding. Steve says she doesn't seriously want him to come. Kayla says he is family so if he'd like to come, they'd be happy to have him. Steve suggests she run it by Justin but Kayla insists he'd be fine with it. Kate approaches and asks if she's interrupting. Steve guesses it's about the key to the city. Kate brings up that Hope is going to accept it which surprises Steve. Kate asks if Steve will do it but Steve says he would feel like an idiot. Kate questions why since he and Hope rescued John and Marlena and sent Orpheus back to prison. Kate thinks Steve should be recognized as a hero. Kayla agrees that he's definitely a hero.

Lucas can't believe Will would even say that to him. Will says he's just asking since he did take awhile to support him when he first came out. Sonny notes that Lucas has been nothing but supportive since. Lucas calls that ancient history and says he couldn't be more proud of Will and he thinks of Sonny as one of his own. Lucas says no one was happier than him when they got back together. Lucas thinks they are great parents to Arianna and their next child too. Will asks what the problem is then. Lucas asks what if they adopt Allie's baby and she's okay with it but then one day, she changes her mind out of nowhere. Will understands he wants to be protective of all of them but he really doesn't think that will happen. Lucas then brings up that they don't even know the birth father's name or what he thinks of all this so he asks if they thought about him yet because they really should.

Eric and Nicole come out of the bedroom to find Allie had come home. Allie informs them that she did some thinking and realized she wants to have a kid some day but not right now so she has decided to give her baby up for adoption. Nicole says they are happy if she's at peace with it. Allie says it didn't stop Lucas from flipping out when she told him. Eric asks what Lucas is upset about. Allie explains that he's afraid she will be unhappy having a baby out there being raised by some stranger. Allie then asks why it has to be a stranger. Eric asks if she has somebody in mind. Allie tells them about running into Rafe today and he was such a great stepdad so she thought maybe he'd like to adopt her baby.

Sarah tells Maggie that she's finally able to look at Xander without killing him which is light years away from wanting to be in a relationship with him again. Maggie says she's not trying to push her into taking him back. Sarah knows Xander talked to her before buying Mackenzie's headstone which Maggie confirms. Sarah admits it meant a lot to her and reminded her how much he did love her daughter. Maggie points out that Xander loved Sarah and still does. Sarah questions why she's defending him when he still does things unforgivable just like Victor which she can't make peace with. Maggie apologizes for upsetting her. Sarah complains that Xander makes grand gestures but never really changes. Xander then enters the room with flowers for Sarah as a welcome home present. Sarah thanks him and calls it very thoughtful. Maggie decides to go check on Victor and exits the room. Sarah questions if Xander was standing in the hallway listening to them talk about him but he says no. Sarah tells him that she told Maggie that he offered to move out. Xander understands there's nothing he can do to make up for the pain he caused her but she has to go on with her life and believe she can be happy again. Sarah says she hasn't figured out how to do that yet. Xander asks what if he could give her another baby.

Eli complains about Lani telling him to leave. Lani reminds him that it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding. Eli argues that they did this last time and how it turned out. Lani says he knows she had to do what Gabi said then. Lani really doesn't want anything to jinx them. Eli assures that nothing will as they are in love with a baby on the way so everything will work out just fine. Lani really doesn't want to take any chances. Eli questions her being that scared. Lani says she just doesn't want to tempt fate.

Sarah questions Xander thinking they should have a baby. Xander clarifies that he knows someone who is pregnant and looking to give up their child for adoption so he couldn't think of a more amazing mom for her child than Sarah.

Eric asks if Allie really wants Rafe to raise her baby. Allie says he was so great to them while married to Sami and said they were the kids he always wanted but then she got back with EJ. Allie says she ran in to Rafe today and he was so sad about losing custody of David. Allie talks about how Rafe always wanted to be a dad but it's never worked out for him. Eric points out that doesn't mean she has to give him her child. Allie says she knows but Rafe is a good guy and she thinks it could work out. Nicole asks if Rafe knows she feels this way. Allie says she didn't think about it until after he left. Nicole tells Allie that she is right and calls Rafe one of the best men she knows which Eric agrees with. Eric hates to say it but asks how Sami will feel knowing her ex-husband is raising her grandchild.

Lucas brings up that Allie won't tell anyone who the birth father is so he might not even know she's pregnant. Sonny remarks that it could just be some horny kid who doesn't even care. Lucas argues that when Sami was pregnant with Will, he was that age and he cared. Lucas talks about the time he lost that he'll never get back. Lucas brings up suing Sami when he found out to become his legal father. Lucas asks what happens if they adopt the baby and then the father shows up and wants a custody suit. Lucas doesn't want that for his grandchild or for them.

Kate tells Steve that Kayla agrees with her. Kayla clarifies that Steve is a hero but it's up to him to decide if he wants to accept an award in a public ceremony. Kate questions why he's being so stubborn. Steve then gives in and tells Kate that he will do it. Kate informs him that the ceremony is next week and Salem will have a real hero. Kate mentions it being next Friday afternoon and says she'll see him there as she walks away. Kayla then guesses Steve will be busy next Friday afternoon. Steve calls Kayla "sweetness" then apologizes but Kayla tells him he doesn't have to.

Eli packs his things while Lani assures it's just one night. Eli questions why she's not leaving when it's her idea. Lani says she has the dress, makeup, and hair products while he just has the bag. Eli asks where he's supposed to go. Lani is sure someone will take him in.

Will states that they haven't even talked to Allie yet so it maybe early to worry about a custody battle. Lucas admits he may be getting ahead of himself. Sonny suggests maybe they shouldn't have told him what they were thinking before talking to Allie. Lucas understands why this is so appealing to them and he is sorry for what the adoption center said. Lucas says he has a lot to think about with Allie, them, and the baby.

Allie tells Eric that she doesn't give a damn what Sami thinks or does. Nicole doesn't think Allie should make her choice based on what Sami is willing to accept. Nicole talks about being friends with Rafe for a long time and seeing him with David. Eric says he doesn't disagree. Nicole asks if he has an issue with a single father adopting a child. Eric says of course he doesn't but she just chose adoption so he just thinks it's a little soon for her to decide who and what person is going to adopt the baby. Nicole understands but thinks it would be wrong to reject this idea. Nicole thinks it's important for Allie to know that she's giving her baby to someone she can trust and allow her to be part of the child's life. Allie points out that not a lot of people fit that bill. Nicole thinks if it's what Allie wants then it's worth pursuing.

Sarah questions Xander proposing that she adopt a baby now. Xander knows there's a hole in her heart after losing Mackenzie and he saw the kind of mother she is. Sarah asks how he knows this pregnant lady. Xander says she'll have to keep it to herself but it's Allie Horton which surprises Sarah. Xander is sure Allie would be interested. Sarah questions if she'd be replacing Mackenzie with her baby and says she can't just do that. Xander apologizes. Sarah complains about Xander knowing that he gave her a different baby and letting her fall in love with someone else's baby and now he's suggesting she fall in love with another baby that's not hers. Xander says it was just an idea but Sarah says screw him and his ideas then throws his flowers back at him.

Lucas states that Allie has to be at peace with whatever decision she makes so he worries that if Will and Sonny say they want to adopt the baby, it could put pressure on her. Sonny assures they would never do that. Lucas just wants them to know that he's beyond thrilled at the possibility of another grandchild and it means the world to him that the baby would be so wanted. Will thanks him and hugs him. Lucas adds that he thinks Allie's judgment is being clouded by her fear of Sami's reaction. Lucas says if Allie rushes into this and then changes her mind, he doesn't want to see Will and Sonny get hurt like that as it would kill him. Lucas then exits the mansion.

Eric tells Allie that approaching Rafe about adopting her baby is definitely worth considering. Eric advises her to do it carefully since he's still a little raw after the whole custody battle with David. Eric adds that there's also private, open, and closed adoptions. Eric offers to help her with an agency as he has many years in the field. Nicole jokes that she's got food, a bed, and adoption counseling all under one roof. Allie says if Rafe adopts her baby, Sami will never have to find out it was her kid. Allie argues that Sami never leaves EJ while Eric and Nicole assures that she will find out. Allie suggests Sami might not even care since her and Rafe are friends. Eric points out that was before Rafe was with Carrie which Allie was not aware of. Allie questions why everything has to be so complicated. Nicole says that's life but they've seen it all and are here to help her through it.

Xander tells Sarah that he didn't mean to hurt her. Sarah complains that he can't just go get the crib and plop another baby into it then expect everything to be okay. Sarah argues that he doesn't have her figured out as he's still playing the same game. Xander insists that it's not a game as he's grieving because he loved her too. Sarah argues that he loved Rachel because they didn't know Mackenzie. Xander says he did love Rachel and he's every bit as worried now that Kristen has her and he knows no other baby could replace her. Xander says life goes on and they might handle that in different ways. Xander points out that there's a child out there who needs a home. Sarah shouts back at him that he can adopt the baby and leave her the hell out of it.

Kayla acknowledges that sweetness is what Steve called her for their whole life together so it brings back a lot of good memories. Steve doubts Justin would appreciate it. Steve says it's probably best that he can't make the wedding so he doesn't make anyone uncomfortable. Kayla asks why they would be uncomfortable if he's all for them. Steve repeats that he wants her to be happy and sees now that she is. Kayla thanks him but says there's just one thing that doesn't make her happy. Kayla tells him that she never would've accepted Justin's proposal if she didn't love him but the kids are having a hard time with her marrying their uncle Justin. Kayla adds that Stephanie said she can't even face coming to the wedding. Steve says he's sorry about that. Kayla understands why it's hard for them since they love him so much. Steve offers to talk to them and he hopes they can still be friends. Kayla says always. Steve tells her that he wants the best for her. Kayla says she wants the best for him as Steve then walks away.

Lucas goes to the DiMera Mansion and talks to Kate about how everyone told him to let Allie make her own decisions. Lucas informs Kate that Allie wants to give the baby up for adoption but it looks like Sonny and Will want to adopt the baby.

Will tells Sonny that he's sorry Lucas wasn't all that enthusiastic. Sonny says that Lucas talking about what he went through with Sami made him realize that Lucas knows a lot more about what could go wrong. Will still doesn't agree with Lucas that Allie would change her mind. Will thinks they should let Allie know that they would love to adopt her baby if she wants and then let her make her own decision. Sonny is still in if he is. Will thinks it's still early enough to over to Eric and Nicole's. Sonny suggests Allie's had a long day so they can go tomorrow.

Eric tells Allie that she has time to decide what she really wants. Allie assures that she won't sneak off to her room and call Rafe since he was on his way to court when she saw him. Eric adds that Rafe might not think it's a good idea and he wants her to know that she has other options. Eric declares that when Allie does make a decision, it will be hers to make. Nicole feel she'll make the one that feels right to her.

Xander apologizes for upsetting Sarah. Sarah can't take him meddling in her life. Sarah can't believe she told Maggie that she'd be alright living in the same house with him. Sarah wants to take Xander up on his offer, she wants him to move out. Sarah cries that she tries to keep setting boundaries but he keeps trampling them so she won't give him the chance to do it again. Sarah tells him to just go so Xander exits the room as Sarah breaks down crying.

Eli jokes about kissing Lani before she kicks him out of their home. Eli promises tomorrow will be the best day of their lives as they kiss. Lani tells him that she loves him as Eli then exits. Someone remains out in the hall as Lani shuts the door.
