Days of Our Lives Update Wednesday 6/10/20

Nicole asks if Eric really wanted to get married today. Eric tells Nicole that he will be patient. Nicole wants their wedding to be special for him. Eric says it will be because of her and then there's a knock at the door so Eric goes to answer the door. Eric is surprised to see his niece, Sami's daughter, Allie.

Kate goes to see John and tells him that Hope and Steve are making a huge mistake so she wants John to talk some sense into them.

At the hospital, Kayla calls Justin and leaves a message asking if they can meet up for lunch when he gets out of court. Kayla hangs up and then Steve arrives at the hospital.

Rafe paces in the town square with Hope, questioning what is taking Justin so long to get there and why he didn't just tell him the decision over the phone. Hope encourages that the judge won't award Zoey custody of David. Justin then arrives so Rafe asks if he gets to keep David or not.

Steve tells Kayla that she is just the doctor he came to see. Kayla is glad to see he made it through the night. Steve thanks for helping him out while he was drunk but adds that she shouldn't have had to so he wanted to apologize. Kayla asks how he's feeling. Steve asks if he said anything stupid last night. Kayla responds that he was the perfect gentleman. Steve thanks her for getting him home safe. Kayla points out that he did the same for her once and they flash back to that moment in the past.

Rafe tells Justin not to keep him in suspense. Justin tells Rafe that he's so sorry. Rafe questions what he's talking about. Justin reveals that the judge ruled against Rafe and awarded custody to Zoey. Hope argues that Zoey held them at gunpoint and threatened to shoot them. Justin explains that when the judge found out that Orpheus was holding Zoey's son hostage, she believed that Zoey had no choice but to follow his demands to save her son. Hope complains that David is being handed over to a woman who is practically a stranger while Rafe is the only parent he's ever known. Justin says he tried to argue the point but the judge's mind was made up. Rafe asks when this all starts. Justin reveals that Rafe must relinquish custody immediately. Rafe argues that there must be some way to stop this but Justin says the ruling is final. Rafe complains that Jordan entrusted him with David. Justin says that Christian is David's father and he made it very clear that he wants his sister to raise David. Rafe argues that Christian is the one who killed Jordan. Justin points out that Zoey is a blood relative and has a child so the judge believed David would be better off with her. Rafe argues that Zoey doesn't know David's favorite meal is or when he took his first steps. Rafe cries that this can't be happening. Justin wishes he could've done more but Zoey and a court official will be picking up David soon so Rafe needs to say goodbye. Rafe questions how to say goodbye to his son and what is going on.

Steve tells Kayla that he'll let her get back to saving lives. Kayla brings up that he didn't tell her why he got so drunk so she asks what bothered him so much to drink himself silly. Steve thinks back to talking to Hope about dreaming of telling Kayla how he feels. Steve tells Kayla that sometimes a man doesn't need a reason to drink. Kayla suggests he's still beating himself up over the things he did as Stefano. Steve tells her that he's trying to let go of all that. Kayla says it's about time. Kayla asks if it wasn't guilt that he was drowning in then what's going on with him.

John tells Kate that if Steve and Hope don't want to accept the key to the city, that's their decision. Kate argues that the invitations were already sent, arrangements have been made, so if it falls through then Abe will have egg on his face. John accuses Kate of being more worried about herself. Kate questions no one seeing this is a genuine honor for Hope and Steve. John says not everyone wants a fuss made over them. Kate adds that Steve could use some money and she's arranged a cash reward for Orpheus being apprehended. Kate asks if John will talk to Steve. John gives her a maybe. Marlena arrives and Kate says she'd love to chat but John just wasted all her time so she exits. John asks Marlena what's going on with Claire. Marlena confirms that Claire will be staying with them which excites John as he feels they haven't seen enough of their grandkids the last few years...

Eric can't believe Allie is there and brings her in. Nicole tells her it's good to see her. Eric notes that they were just talking about her mom. Allie asks what Sami did now. Eric says nothing and adds that nobody told him she was coming. Allie calls it a last minute decision. Eric asks how long she's here for. Allie responds that it depends on Eric as she was hoping she could crash here for awhile.

Hope goes home with Rafe and says she's here for whatever he needs. Rafe guesses he has to go relieve the babysitter. Rafe questions how to have this talk with David. Hope offers to go with him but Rafe says it's his boy and has Hope just start packing his things. Rafe heads upstairs then Zoey comes in and tells Hope that she came to get David. Hope tells Zoey that it's not too late and pleads with her not to take David from Rafe.

Justin goes to the hospital and sees Kayla and Steve. Justin asks if Kayla is still free for lunch. Kayla says yes but asks for a minute with Steve. Steve tells her it's okay and to enjoy their lunch so he exits. Justin asks what that was about. Kayla explains that she found Steve drunk at the Pub last night so she drove him home and put him to bed which Justin questions.

Eric is confused as Allie was living in London. Allie responds that she's not really feeling London anymore because her mom Sami is out of control. Eric points out that Sami is in Italy taking care of EJ. Allie tells them that Sami is demanding that she move home because she's a control freak and refuses to see her as an adult capable of her own decisions. Eric guesses Sami isn't liking her decisions. Allie argues that Sami partied at her age. Eric recalls Sami mentioning Allie not getting a job since graduating college. Allie blames the job market and that Sami doesn't try to understand. Allie adds that Sami cut her off financially then Sami came to London to drag her home but she came here. Eric questions how Allie bought a plane ticket if Sami cut her off. Allie responds that she has her ways.

Kate goes home to the DiMera Mansion and calls Abe, leaving a message that she's still working on getting Steve and Hope to accept the keys to the city and she's enlisted John's help so hopefully they get the ceremony scheduled and Abe can get the good press he deserves. Kate hangs up and then Lucas arrives. Kate asks what he's doing here but Lucas tells her not do that. Kate asks if he just flew in from Italy. Lucas says he was in London. Kate asks if he was visiting Allie. Lucas says he was trying to but she's going through some problems and Sami thought it would be good for her to move back to Italy but she refused so when they got to London, Allie was gone. Kate questions why he's angry with her. Lucas brings up telling Kate that they were cutting Allie off because she was partying too hard and shopping too much but according to Allie's roommate, she's traveling the world living it up because her grandmother gave her a bunch of money. Kate admit she might have helped Allie out a little bit. Lucas can't believe she did that and blames Kate for Allie getting into all kinds of trouble now.

Allie tells Eric and Nicole that Sami is so pissed and she hasn't called her back. Nicole asks if Sami knows she is in Salem. Allie responds that it was more fun to have her roommate tell Sami that she's on a grand tour of the world. Eric argues that Allie needs to call her and let her know she's here. Allie says she will but first she hopes Eric will let her stay because if Sami knows he is looking out for her, maybe she'll get off her back. Eric asks how long she plans on staying. Allie suggests a couple months until she figures out what's next. Eric questions that she couldn't do that at home with her parents. Allie complains that she's just been fighting with her mom while she needs to focus on taking care of EJ. Allie asks Eric if she can stay. Eric says he will discuss it with Nicole so Allie goes to the bathroom to freshen up while they talk. Eric asks what Nicole thinks. Nicole believes they are not getting the full story.

Marlena tells John that she has to get Claire's room all ready. John decides he will go get some fresh flowers. John goes to leave as Steve arrives. John guesses Steve had a rough night and says he was just heading out. John informs Steve that Claire just got released from Bayview and is coming to live with them which he calls great news. Steve thought they could talk but says he'll catch him another time. John invites Steve to come with him so they exit together.

Justin tells Kayla that he didn't realize she went home with Steve last night. Kayla explains that she ran into him and he was drunk, she was concerned, so she got him to Hope's and then left. Justin points out that she never mentioned it to him. Kayla says he was asleep and then left early. Justin apologizes for sounding like a jealous jerk. They agree to still have lunch. Kayla asks how the custody case went for Rafe. Justin responds that it unfortunately did not go the way they wanted.

Zoey tells Hope that the judge made her ruling. Hope argues that Zoey could change her mind but she says she hasn't. Hope talks about Rafe always wanting to be a father for his whole life so David was a dream come true for him. Hope says Rafe loves David and David loves him just as much. Hope begs Zoey not to tear them apart.

Kate tells Lucas that Allie didn't say anything to her about partying, just that she needed money for rent and food. Lucas can't believe she fell for that and says he explicitly told her not to give Allie any money. Lucas accuses her of enabling Allie while Kate feels he's being too hard on her. Lucas would think Kate would want Allie to get her act together. Kate says Allie can afford to be adventurous and thinks Lucas is overreacting. Lucas argues that his daughter could be anywhere in the world right now. Kate asks if Sami is overreacting as well. Lucas admits she's freaking out and she's by EJ's side since he had another setback so she's in Italy while he's trying to track down his daughter. Lucas says he's tried calling, texting, and e-mailing but Allie is not responding to him or Sami. Kate says she hasn't heard from her either. Kate then reveals that she gave Allie her credit card which Lucas can't believe. Lucas then realizes they just have to look up the charges to see where she is. Kate tells Lucas that Allie is a grown woman that he has to let live her life now. Lucas wants to know where his daughter has been right now.

Eric asks Nicole what makes her think they are not getting the full story. Nicole says after listening to Allie, she hears echos of Sami getting what she wants. Eric asks if they should turn Allie away. Nicole says not at all as she doesn't blame her for not wanting to live with Sami if she's trying to control Allie's life. Eric asks if she's okay with letting her stay then. Nicole says she's fine with it if he is. Eric notes that a couple months is a big commitment with not a lot of space. Nicole assures they will make it work. Eric agrees it will work out for the best and Allie will still be there when Sami comes for their wedding so maybe that can help rebuild their relationship. Nicole adds that she knows mother-daughter relationships can be very complex.

Zoey tells Hope that she appreciates everything Rafe has done for her nephew but she's going to respect the wishes of her brother, despite the mistakes he's made, because he is still David's father. Rafe then brings David into the room. Zoey tells him that she's sorry but it's time and there's a court officer outside to make sure it goes smoothly. Rafe tells David that he's going to live with his aunt Zoey and that he will have a lot of fun with Zoey's son. Rafe says he will call and visit as often as he can. Rafe holds back tears as he hugs David.

Justin and Kayla have lunch at the Brady Pub. Justin talks about the look on Rafe's face when he told him he lost custody of David. Justin says he was sure they had a win but he feels like he let Rafe down. Kayla encourages that he did everything he could and wishes she could cheer him up so she kisses him. Justin suggests they set a wedding date. Kayla agrees. Justin says with a small wedding, there's not too much to plan so he suggests next month but Kayla points out that she and Steve were married in July.

John and Steve walk through the town square. John asks what he wants to talk about. Steve says anything but Kayla. John thought he was getting her back. Steve says that's off the table. John questions him giving up. Steve then reveals that Justin put a ring on Kayla's finger. John asks what he's going to do about that. Steve repeats that he doesn't want to talk about that. John questions what he wants to talk about then. Steve tells John that he wants to come back to work at Black Patch. John says he'd love to have him back and he can't live on reward money forever, explaining that Kate wanted him to convince him to accept the key to the city. Steve comments on Kate not giving up. John asks Steve to just take the damn key.

Allie comes out of the bathroom and asks what the verdict is. Eric and Nicole agree to let her stay. Allie thanks them and says they are the best, adding that she really doesn't know why Sami doesn't like Nicole. Allie says Nicole is more chill and fun. Nicole says Allie is Eric's niece so she loves her. Allie promises to do all she can to be a good house guest and do whatever they want her to. Eric notes that there will be a few conditions to her staying here as some things are not negotiable.

Hope takes David to get some snacks for the drive. Rafe finishes packing David's bag. Rafe points out to Zoey what is David's favorite book. Zoey says she knows how hard this is and mentions that she only lives a few hours away so Rafe can see him whenever he wants. Zoey adds that she finds no pleasure in this since Rafe is a good man who did a terrific job taking care of David. Zoey promises to be the best mom to David and will love him like her own. Zoey tells Rafe that she's sorry and walks out. Hope comes back in as Rafe says that's it, he's gone. Hope tells him she's so sorry. Rafe doesn't know what he's going to do without David.

Kayla tells Justin that she and Steve's first wedding was in July but they also had weddings in August and February so it doesn't matter. Justin suggests July 10th then. Kayla agrees and says she'll be counting down the days. Steve walks in to the Brady Pub as Justin tells Kayla that in less than a month, they will be husband and wife then they kiss as Steve looks on.

Kate looks up her credit card report and tells Lucas that Allie wasn't using it just for rent. Kate then discovers Allie bought a one way plane ticket to Salem.

Allie asks what Eric's conditions are. Eric tells her that she has to call Sami and tell her that she's staying here and no partying. Allie agrees to both and assures that she's definitely not in to partying these days which Nicole questions. Allie then unzips her jacket, revealing that she is pregnant.
