At the Kiriakis Mansion, Sonny joins Will in the living room. Will informs him that Orpheus has been caught and the police have him in custody. Sonny says that's fantastic and asks how they got him. Will explains that he was holding John hostage and tried to blackmail Marlena for ransom but she outsmarted him. Sonny asks how she pulled that off. Will tells him that Steve is the one who took down Orpheus.

Steve tells Kayla that it took everything in him not to kill Orpheus on the spot for causing Adrienne's death. Kayla is glad it all worked out. Steve finds it strange because he knows Justin has to hold it together in his profession but for him to just walk out to go see the district attorney after Orpheus killed his wife, he questions how he does that.

Justin goes into the interrogation room and pulls a gun on Orpheus. Orpheus asks if his brother in law let him in so he could kill him. Justin informs him that Steve doesn't even know he's here. Orpheus asks how he got his gun. Justin reveals he took it from the evidence bag because he's going to make him pay for taking his wife's life by ending his.

Marlena and John go home where Marlena takes care of him and says she was so worried about him. John says he's still worried because Orpheus made it seem like he has some sort of surprise up his sleeve. Marlena doesn't think he planned on being outsmarted by Steve so there's nothing he can do to them now. John remains unsure. Marlena assures that Orpheus is in custody so he can't get to them anymore. They sit together, not knowing that there is a bomb under the couch counting down from 39 minutes. John says he'd like to let down his guard but there was something about the way Orpheus went down and the way he looked at him when they took him away that gave him this feeling that Orpheus had one last card to play.

Hope and Zoey fight over Zoey's gun until the gun goes off and shoots Rafe. Hope punches Zoey down and takes the gun then rushes to check on Rafe. Rafe says he's okay as he reveals the bullet hit his badge. Rafe asks where David is. Hope holds the gun on Zoey as Rafe goes to search for David. Zoey says she's so glad Rafe is okay. Hope questions if she is because she could've killed him.

Marlena asks John if he's alright. John mentions having a headache but says he'll be alright once he figures out what Orpheus's strategy is because he knows he won't give up when he was so close to getting 15 million dollars and now gets nothing. Marlena says it was never about the money but about his grandson. John says now Orpheus won't have any of it unless he's working on something they haven't figured out yet. The bomb under the couch counts down from 33 minutes.

Kayla suggests to Steve that Justin isn't showing to the world how he's feeling on the inside as he may seem calm but he's very passionate.

Orpheus asks if Justin doesn't trust the legal system. Justin says not when it comes to him. Orpheus can't blame him as he's sure Justin has seen enough to know the system is rigged. Justin calls Orpheus the problem as he has watched him skid on the most heinous crimes. Justin says that Orpheus has gotten away with murder, terror, and strapping bombs to people. Justin declares that Orpheus thinks he can get out of anything thanks to his ISA connections but he won't get away with this because this time, he's going to face justice at the hands of the man whose wife he killed. Orpheus suggests he get it over with and tells him to go ahead and shoot him.

Marlena wants to enjoy the evening and stop worrying about Orpheus. John agrees but feels it's wasting time to worry when he should be doing something. Marlena tells him to just let the police handle this. John says they might need him. Marlena says they will call if so but she wants him home and safe. Marlena just wants to make up for lost time. John agrees and kisses her until there's a knock at the door.John answers the door to see Eric and Nicole kissing. Eric hopes it's not a bad time. John and Marlena say of course not and invite them in. Eric announces they have good news they wanted to share in person. Nicole then shows her ring. John and Marlena cheer and congratulate them while the bomb under the couch counts down from 27 minutes.

Sonny tells Will that after everything Orpheus has done, it feels great to have him off the streets. They talk about Orpheus causing unspeakable damage to their family and people in town. Will declares he will now finally pay for what he did to Adrienne and they are all finally safe. Sonny asks if they found David. Will says John told the police his location so hopefully by now, he is safe with Rafe.

Zoey tells Hope that she's sorry as she didn't mean for this to happen. Hope points out that she pulled the gun on them and shot Rafe. Zoey says she didn't mean to and argues that she has to do what Orpheus says since he has her son. Zoey adds that when Orpheus took her son, he said he would get his revenge no matter what happened to David. Zoey's phone rings so Hope allows her to slowly answer it while keeping the gun on her. Zoey says it's someone that works for Orpheus so they might know something about her son. Zoey answers and says she can get the money. Zoey tells them to keep her son safe and she'll be there right away. Zoey hangs up and informs Hope that Orpheus has been arrested so he can't pay the guys that have his son anymore. Zoey tells Hope that she has to go but Hope says she can't let her walk out after she shot the police commissioner. Zoey pleads with her to let her get her son back safely. Zoey argues that Hope would do the same thing for her daughter. Zoey declares that she is walking out the door and Hope won't stop her.

Kayla tells Steve that she's just trying to explain how hard this is for Justin. Steve says it's hard for everyone. Kayla adds that Steve knows more than anyone how much Justin loved Adrienne. Kayla talks about thinking Will was responsible and then Maggie. Steve asks if Justin's anger will just come pouring out. Kayla is afraid of that since he's kept his feelings locked up inside for so long that she doesn't know what's going to happen.

Orpheus asks Justin what he's waiting for and tells him to go ahead and pull the trigger if ending him ends all his problems. Orpheus tells Justin to shoot him but he doesn't so Orpheus says he doesn't have what it takes. Orpheus calls him a man of reason, not action unlike Steve Johnson. Justin tells him to stop talking. Orpheus remarks that he feels for him since he won Steve's wife when she thought she lost him but now he's back and any idiot can see Justin's not Steve as he doesn't have the killer instinct. Orpheus says that's what a woman like Kayla wants and needs, someone who can actually take the enemy out. Orpheus knows Justin wants to kill him but says he just doesn't have the guts. Justin keeps the gun aimed at him and says that's where he's wrong.

Will hopes Orpheus admits to police that he's the one who killed Adrienne. Sonny assures that they will get the conviction either way because he talked to his son which Will questions. Sonny explains that he needed to look Christian in the face and confront him about what he did. Sonny adds that Christian tried to deny it but he pushed him until he admitted that he and his father caused the accident. Will asks how he did that. Sonny admits he used guilt. Will asks if the confession is official which Sonny confirms and says that Orpheus will be joining his son in prison in no time. Will says that's good to hear because that means Maggie will finally be cleared after suffering so much. Sonny notes that Will suffered too. Will is just glad the people responsible for the accident are finally getting what they deserve. Sonny tells him that Justin will make sure that happens as he won't rest until Orpheus pays for all his crimes which they toast their drinks to.

Justin praises Adrienne and says she was his whole life until Orpheus took her from him. Justin cries that he can't be allowed to get away with that and someone should've done this a long time ago.

Steve thinks Justin will be fine once Orpheus is held accountable for his crimes. Kayla asks how he can be sure that he will be. Steve says all the evidence is here but then he sees Orpheus' gun is missing. Kayla questions how he could have taken it out. Steve is afraid Justin didn't go to see the district attorney..

Justin asks Orpheus if he has any last words. Orpheus says he doesn't give a damn but Kayla and Steve come in to stop Justin.

Rafe finds David and brings him out to Hope. Rafe then asks where Zoey is. Hope informs him that she got a call that Orpheus has been arrested and his guys were willing to return her son if she pays them off. Hope says she let her go because she couldn't keep her from her child. Rafe mentions David asking about John. Hope states that it's really over but Rafe is not so sure. Rafe reveals that David told him that right before Orpheus left, he said he had one last game which he called his favorite game with John. Hope wonders what kind of game that could be. Rafe says nothing good.

John and Marlena tell Eric and Nicole how happy they are for them. Nicole says it took them a long time to get here. Marlena notes they were each others' first loves and now here they are. Nicole wants to emulate John and Marlena's relationship. Marlena and John says it's just love, patience, and gratitude. Eric credits Holly and Nicole for getting him through the last few weeks. Eric says they are his family and this will make it legal. Nicole informs John and Marlena that Holly officially called Eric "daddy". Marlena says she's so happy for them. John hugs Nicole and welcomes her to the family. Marlena suggests they celebrate. Nicole then asks if they were already celebrating something and they were interrupting. John says they had an eventful day so Eric questions what happened. John suggests they sit down so they can tell them all about it. Meanwhile the bomb under the couch counts down from 20 minutes.

Rafe makes a call to have Zoey located but says he wants them to hold off on bringing her in and just keep an eye on her location. Hope encourages that he's doing the right thing by letting Zoey find her son. Hope guesses he and David can't wait to get home so she decides she'll go check on John and Marlena to share the good news with them. Rafe thanks Hope for everything, noting that she kind of saved his life. Rafe repeats to Hope that he really appreciated it. Hope feels she didn't do anything while Rafe says it's like old times as they then exit.

John and Marlena fill Eric and Nicole in on Orpheus causing the accident, not Maggie. Eric doesn't know what to say and says that Orpheus is the one responsible for his daughter's death and Adrienne too. Marlena is sorry she couldn't say anything at first but Orpheus was holding John prisoner. Nicole understands she was afraid for John's life. John explains that Marlena made the right decision in telling Steve as he used some ISA tech to rescue him which is the reason Orpheus is in custody where he belongs. Nicole comments that it sounds like they all have a lot to celebrate so they all toast to a bright future while the bomb under the couch counts down from 15 minutes.

Kayla pleads with Justin to put the gun down. Steve tells Justin he doesn't want to do this. Justin tells them to get out. Kayla argues that he can't pull the trigger and Orpheus is not worth it. Kayla tells Justin not to let Orpheus ruin his life. Justin shouts back that it's already ruined because Orpheus killed his beautiful wife. Orpheus asks Steve if he's going to let Justin shoot him in cold blood in the police station. Justin argues that it's the only way, reminding Steve that the ISA will find some way to let Orpheus beat the charges again. Justin refuses to let him walk away free for killing Adrienne. Justin declares it's up to him to make sure Orpheus gets what he deserves. Kayla won't let him throw everything away for revenge. Kayla tells him to think of Sonny, Arianna, and her. Justin yells that he has to pay. Kayla points out that Justin will go to prison and lose everything while so will she as she needs him and loves him. Steve tells Justin to give him the gun but he refuses. Steve agrees that Orpheus has to die but says Justin doesn't have to kill him. Steve tells Justin to let him do it.

Sonny tells Will that he's thinking about his mom as it's great that her killer will finally be brought to justice. Sonny adds that Will is free and Maggie is going to be free. Will knows his mom is still gone. Sonny says they should be celebrating positive news since they don't get too much of that lately. Will responds that unfortunately he has some bad news too. Will informs Sonny that the story broke earlier that Gabi was arrested again as the police think she's the one responsible for what happened to Abigail since the drug was found in her possession. Will adds that Arianna doesn't know yet as he wanted to wait for him and she fell asleep. Sonny asks how they are going to do this again since Arianna barely forgave Gabi the last time. Will points out that this time, she has both of them here and they will always be there for her. Sonny decides they will talk to her tomorrow together while tonight is for them as they hug.

Hope goes to John and Marlena's to let them, Eric, and Nicole that Rafe got David back. Hope notes that Rafe loves David so much. Eric calls that more good news to celebrate. Hope asks if they were toasting Orpheus' capture. Eric says they were until he and Nicole showed up to announce their engagement. Nicole shows Hope her ring. Hope congratulates them and wishes them the best. Marlena jokes about wedding details. Hope asks John if everything is okay. John says he's just a little uneasy about Orpheus. Hope points out that he's been caught and is locked up. John explains that when he held him hostage, he kept playing all these games and making moves so he can't help but feel that somehow, he's still playing one. Hope informs John that David mentioned Orpheus saying he was going to play his favorite game one last time with John. Hope asks what Orpheus' favorite game is. John notes that Orpheus is an explosive expert and last time he was here, he planted bombs all over Salem so he could have set something in motion before he was caught to play a game one last time with him. The bomb under the couch counts down from 7 minutes.

Steve tells Justin to give him the gun. Steve knows Justin won't rest until Orpheus pays for what he did and he wants that too. Justin says he can do it. Steve argues that he shouldn't have to as he has too much to lose. Justin responds that he didn't ask for Steve's help. Steve knows Orpheus means what he says as unlike Justin, he's killed bad people before and all of them deserved it a lot less than him. Orpheus responds that he's well aware of his history. Steve calls him the scum of the earth and says he won't let him get away with killing his sister. Steve tells Justin that he can't let him throw his life away. Steve explains that he's dead to the world so maybe he came back for a reason while Justin has too much to lose. Steve says when his life was taken from him, he had no choice but Justin does. Steve asks Justin to give him the gun so Justin finally hands it over. Steve then holds the gun to Orpheus' head.

Marlena suggests Julie's Place for Eric and Nicole's wedding while John and Hope begin searching the room. Marlena and Nicole question what they are doing. Hope finds the bomb and calls John over as it is now counting down from 1 minute.

Orpheus remarks that Steve may be a killer but he's not a murderer so he doesn't want to do this. Steve responds that he knows he does. Steve says it would give him great pleasure to blow his brains out of his head. Orpheus says they can talk about this. Steve says there's nothing left to talk about but then pulls the gun away and says he's not going to do it. Orpheus says that's a good call. Steve then hits Orpheus in the back of the head with the gun to knock him out. Justin questions what Steve is doing and why he didn't kill him.

Will and Sonny go to their bedroom, talking about Arianna and how tomorrow her whole world will change. Will encourages that they will come through it stronger than ever because that's what they do as they kiss.

John says there's no time to diffuse the bomb and orders everybody out as it counts down from 30 seconds. Hope pulls the bomb out and runs it out of the house while John tries to stop her. John and Eric run out after her and then the bomb explodes.

Sonny and Will lay in bed together. Will says no matter what's going on in the world, he always feels safe here. Sonny looks over at a framed photo of them with Adrienne and they talk about how happy Adrienne was. Sonny says he will always miss her but he can rest easy knowing Will is fine and soon Maggie will be too. Will hopes everyone hurt by Orpheus can now finally find some peace.

Rafe brings David home and hugs him.

John and Eric run outside to find Hope. John questions what she was thinking. Hope explains that there wasn't enough time to call the bomb squad or evacuate the building so she carried it out herself. John argues that what she did was insane. Hope explains that she threw it in the dumpster and closed the lid just in time. Marlena and Nicole catch up to them. Hope assures that she's fine. Nicole can't believe that she did that. Hope acknowledges it was stupid while Eric calls it brave. Marlena declares that Hope risked her life to save them.

Justin argues that he trusted Steve to do the right thing and shouts that Orpheus killed his sister so he should want revenge. Justin questions why he asked for the gun if he wasn't going to shoot him. Justin asks why Steve let him live. Kayla hugs Justin while he yells that it's not right.
