Lani joins Eli in the town square and asks if he has a minute. Eli says not really and tries to walk away but Lani stops him. Lani gets that he's still upset about her helping Kristen escape and she knows she put him in an impossible position so she has decided to confess. Lani informs Eli that she's heading to the station now to tell Rafe everything. Lani then walks away.

At the police station, Rafe gets a call and says that's a lot sooner than he expected.

At the courthouse, Zoey informs Christian that the jury reached a verdict. They didn't think it would happen so quickly. Christian asks her if it's good news or bad. Orpheus then appears and says he'd like to know the answer to that as well.

Chad brings Abigail to the hospital and tells her that Marlena is on her way and she will know how to help her. Jennifer and Jack arrive and rush over to check on Abigail. Jennifer hugs her and says she's so glad she's okay. Jack encourages that everything will be fine. Jennifer adds that they are here for her. Abigail then imagines them as Ben, Stefan, and Gabi but doesn't say anything. Chad can tell and asks her who she sees. Abigail admits she sees Ben but she knows it's not real. Chad confirms that it's not and that he's there for her. Abigail cries that she sees it's Chad as he hugs her. Abigail continues to imagine Jack and Jennifer as Stefan and Gabi. Abigail cries that she needs help.

At the auto shop, Jake questions what Gabi is doing there. Gabi thinks back to preparing Dr. Rolf's serum in a syringe. Jake says he has a lot of work to do and asks what she wants. Gabi responds that she doesn't want anything but she has something for him.

Abigail questions why this is still happening to her. Chad encourages that help is on the way. Jack and Jennifer assure that everything will be alright and they won't let anyone hurt her. Marlena comes over and asks what's going on. Jennifer informs her that Abigail is having hallucinations again. Marlena says she's sorry to hear that and offers to take Abigail to a room to talk privately. Abigail agrees as long as Chad comes so they walk away together.

Gabi tells Jake that she came to return his antibiotic cream that he used on her when she fell. Jake thanks her and takes it back. Gabi then pulls the syringe out of her purse and approaches him.

Lani goes to the police station and tells Rafe that she needs to speak to him. Rafe tells her he has to get to the courthouse. Lani promises it won't take long but Rafe says he has to go since the verdict just came back in Christian's murder trial so they'll talk later. Lani understands and wishes him luck as he exits the station.

Zoey explains that she's seen quick verdicts go either way. She assures that nothing has changed since the evidence against him was circumstantial at best. Orpheus encourages Christian to have faith. Zoey says they will get through this. Orpheus tells Christian to head inside so he can have a word with Zoey so he does. Orpheus brings up not agreeing with the strategy of not putting Christian on the stand but he trusted her. Orpheus warns her that she better come through for her brother because his life and future are on the line. Orpheus then heads in to the courthouse.

Chad and Marlena get Abigail set in a hospital bed. Marlena asks her about running away from the hospital and if she was having another hallucination. Abigail explains that she thought Gabi was after her and that she had to hide from her so she went home to try to figure out a way to stop her and she asked Stefano's portrait for help but she saw Kate come in with Abe and thought it was Gabi trying to drug Abe. Chad adds that Kate said Abigail attacked her. Abigail says she thought she was saving her and just now she thought she saw Stefan and Gabi but it was Jack and Jennifer. Abigail questions why she keeps seeing Gabi. Marlena responds that she doesn't really have an answer for her. Chad says it's because she sees Gabi as a threat since she drugged her and started all of this.

Gabi goes to stab Jake with the syringe but Ben appears and grabs her arm, questioning what the hell she's doing. Jake accuses her of trying to kill him but Gabi shouts that she was trying to bring him back.

Eli goes to the police station and sees that Lani is there, still working. Eli asks if she confessed to helping an attempted murderer escape. Lani says if she did that, she would've been arrested and probably fired but she didn't get the chance because the verdict came in on Christian so Rafe was out the door. Eli asks if she still plans on telling him. She says she does as soon as he gets back. Eli thinks they should talk about that.

Rafe enters the courthouse and guesses that Zoey and Christian just got bad news. Zoey tells him it's good news for him. Rafe guesses Christian was found guilty of murder. Zoey calls them idiots. Rafe asks how long he got. Orpheus comes out and reveals that they gave his son 20 years and worries about if he'll survive prison. Rafe doesn't feel bad for him. Zoey argues that he doesn't deserve this but Rafe says he deserves to spend the rest of his life behind bars after murdering the mother of his own child. Orpheus argues he didn't do it but Rafe says he confessed. Rafe tells him that his son is a murderer and he won't ever be in David's life again. Orpheus insists this is not over as Zoey assures they are going to appeal and they will continue to fight this. Christian is escorted out in handcuffs. Rafe informs him that he's going with him in the van to Statesville prison to make sure everything turns out ok.

Ben questions Gabi about the syringe. Jake guesses she was trying to drug him while Gabi insists he's Stefan DiMera. Jake says he's not and tells her to get it through her skull. Gabi says the drug will prove once and for all that he is her husband.

Jack can't imagine how terrifying the hallucinations must be for Abigail. Jennifer can't believe she's going through this again. Jack says it has to be different this time since they are here on her side. Jennifer points out that she just thought they were Gabi and Stefan. Jack encourages her so Jennifer thanks him for being there. Jack is sorry that he wasn't around last time. Jennifer knows he would've been if he could've. Jennifer says it's so painful to watch their daughter go through this but she can stand it because he's on her side. Jack prays that Marlena can help her.

Abigail says she's struggling to tell the difference between reality and her mind playing tricks on her. Marlena assures they will take care of her. Marlena asks Abigail who is in the room with her. Abigail says it's Marlena and Chad. Abigail then imagines Orpheus standing in the room behind them. Chad assures her that it's just he and Marlena. Abigail insists that she can clearly see Orpheus. Marlena knows the hallucinations seem real but encourages her to hang on to what she knows is real like Chad and her family. Abigail questions why this is still happening. Chad assures they are here for her and Orpheus is not there. Abigail says she no longer sees him but her hallucinations are not gone and she wants them to go away. Marlena tells Abigail to get some rest and gives her pills to help her sleep. Marlena decides she will talk to her family to let them know what happens next. Chad thanks her. Marlena tells them they will be alright as she exits the room.

Rafe tells Christian to go ahead and say goodbye as he walks away. Orpheus tells him they will figure out a way to get him out and that Rafe won't get away with this. Christian can't believe this is it. Zoey tells him she's so sorry. He tells her it's not her fault and praises her as a lawyer. She insists that she will get custody of David since she is the only blood relative with a clean record so she promises to take good care of him until she gets Christian out. Rafe tells her not to make promises she can't keep. Orpheus tells him to stay out of this. Rafe decides time is up and goes with the officer to escort Christian to prison. Orpheus turns to Zoey and tells her that this is all her fault.

Eli takes Lani into the interrogation room. Lani says there is nothing more to say as she was protecting her friend and does not regret it. Eli argues that her friend tried to kill someone. Lani argues that it was a man who made her believe her child was dead. Lani says she doesn't condone Kristen stabbing Victor but she deserves to be with her daughter. Eli says she doesn't get to make that decision. Lani says she couldn't just watch Kristen get locked up. Eli warns that if Lani confesses, she'll be the one getting locked up and he doesn't want that to happen. Eli says he's upset because he hates what she did but he knows she only did it because of her big heart and her belief in second chances. Eli says Lani risks everything to help others and gets the short end of the stick in the end so he won't let that happen again. Lani asks what he's saying. Eli responds that what she did for Kristen should stay between them.

Jake calls Gabi the most stubborn human on the planet and out of her mind. Ben tells Gabi that Stefan is dead. Gabi tells him that she went to visit Dr. Rolf in prison and he told him that he saved Stefan then wiped his memory clear. Jake argues that he knows who he is. Gabi argues that Dr. Rolf implanted memories in his brain. Gabi reminds Ben about Dr. Rolf bringing Will back from the dead without his memory and now she has the same drug that Rolf used on Will. Ben brings up the drug's side effects and risks. Gabi claims it's perfected now and not dangerous to use. Jake refuses to be injected with it while Ben says he won't let Gabi inject Jake. Gabi calls it a gift for Stefan and all of them. Gabi reminds Ben that Stefan hired him when no one else would. Gabi then tells Ben to inject Jake with the syringe because he owes him this gift to get his life back. Ben says there's no way in hell he's injecting Jake with the syringe. Ben wants to call the cops but Jake says not to as he just wants to be rid of Gabi. Ben doesn't want to do anything to screw up his job. Jake thinks they are okay. Gabi asks for her syringe back and says if Jake doesn't want it, someone else can regain their memory but Ben refuses to give it back and leaves the garage with it.

Lani questions Eli not wanting her to confess and says she was going to do it for him because she hates forcing him to lie for her. Eli says he hasn't lied to anyone since no one has asked him about her and Kristen but he hasn't offered any information. Lani questions if he's willing to keep this to himself forever. Eli says he is. Lani doesn't get it since he was so upset and distant towards her. Eli says he was upset because of the trouble he put herself in and was just worried about her. Eli tells her that she has to know how he feels about her by now. Eli says he lost her once and is not going to lose her again. Eli tells her that he loves her and that's never going to change.

Orpheus tells Zoey that he knows more about the criminal justice system than she'll ever learn. She argues that being a criminal doesn't make him an expert. Orpheus argues that she should've put Christian on the stand. Zoey says she couldn't do that because he's guilty while Orpheus feels he would've convinced the jury and she didn't give him a chance. Zoey says she will appeal the case and then get custody of David. Orpheus says he's rethinking letting her handle anything with his son or his grandson. Zoey asks if he's firing her. Orpheus says if he has to, he will so this is her last chance and he needs her to do things his way. Zoey asks if he means the way he and Christian did things last year.

Ben goes to the hospital and tells Marlena that he needs to talk to her for a minute as he could use a huge favor. Ben presents the syringe and wants the contents analyzed as soon as possible. Marlena asks where he got it. Ben reveals that he caught Gabi trying to inject his new boss with it. Marlena asks what else he can tell her. Ben says he'd prefer not to say anything else at this point. Marlena agrees to do her best for him and walks away. Chad then walks up to Ben and questions what that was about.

Orpheus realizes Christian told Zoey what they did last year. Zoey informs him that she pulled it out of him because she must know everything they might use against him. Orpheus says that whatever he told her is confidential so she can't say anything to anyone. Zoey responds that she would never. Orpheus warns that now she is in this as deep as they are so she has to keep her mouth shut or they all go down as he then walks away.

Gabi asks Jake if he thinks Ben went to the cops. Jake thinks Ben will listen to him and tells Gabi that she can leave. Gabi says she can't force Jake to take the serum or talk to her. Gabi relates to when Will came back without his memory but then he took that drug and got his life back so Jake could have the same thing. Jake responds that he has a life and he's not miserable. Gabi argues that his life is not real and calls him Stefan but Jake says that's not his name. Gabi says Stefan was a miserable human being until they admitted they loved each other and then it was over. Gabi argues that they could still be happy. Jake understands she had something special with Stefan but he knows his past and it has nothing to do with her. Jake shouts that she is nothing to him and tells her to let it go. Gabi says she can't and she's not going to because she knows who he is and what Dr. Rolf did to him. Gabi adds that he will find out very soon. Jake declares that he's done with this and threatens to call the cops himself if she doesn't leave and have her thrown in jail.

Lani tells Eli that she loves him too but she's not sure she can ask him to keep this secret for her. Eli says she didn't ask and if she loves him, she'll forget about it and won't tell Rafe or anyone else. Eli adds that he'll make sure no one sees the video. Lani points out that he would be taking a huge risk. Eli says she's worth it and kisses her until Rafe walks in. Eli apologizes. Rafe says that's what he gets for not knocking and jokes that he's done it too. Eli notes Rafe's good mood. Lani asks about the verdict. Rafe announces that Christian Maddox was found guilty of murder so he just accompanied him to Statesville prison where he will spend the next 20 years of his life. Eli calls that great news. Lani says she's so happy for him and says now Christian will be out of David's life for good. Rafe says now he just needs to win a custody battle and he's feeling good about it. Lani is surprised he's at work instead of going home to his son. Rafe brings up that Lani said she had something to tell him earlier and he felt bad that he had to leave so he asks her what it was.

Jack and Jennifer stand at Abigail's bed side as she sleeps in the hospital. Jennifer tells Jack that he can go back to work but Jack says he wasn't here for them last time, so this time he is staying here.

Ben tells Chad that he was just talking to Marlena about something. Chad says he saw him give her a syringe and said that Gabi tried to drug his new boss with it. Ben says that's true but he has no idea what the drug was so they shouldn't jump to conclusions until Marlena gets back from the lab. Chad asks what Gabi said it was. Ben tells him that Gabi says whatever she has to say in the moment so there's no reason to discuss until they know more from the lab. Chad doesn't care about the lab since he said he knows Gabi tried to drug somebody against their will which means Ben is the eye witness he needs to put that bitch away.

Gabi doesn't believe Jake is fine with who he is. Jake says that's not his problem. Gabi says she felt the electricity between them and how he responded when she kissed him. Gabi feels part of him wants the answers and is asking if what she's saying is true. Gabi tells him that it's up to him to decide what he wants to do and who he wants to be.

Lani tells Rafe that she just makes everything sound like an emergency but she just wanted to update him on the Kristen DiMera case. Rafe asks if there's new information. Lani says it seems Kristen disappeared with her daughter. Rafe calls that not surprising and asks if there's any leads as to where she went. Lani says not at the moment and claims that's all she had to say. Lani tells Rafe to go home to David. Eli congratulates him and says they are really happy for him. Rafe says it's everything he's been hoping for. Eli says they should go too so he'll see him tomorrow. Eli and Lani hug Rafe then exit the room.

Marlena goes to her office and makes a call about Abigail, saying she's very worried about her. Orpheus then enters and tells her that the one she should be worried about is herself.

Zoey goes to the police station. Rafe asks if she's here to threaten him about the custody hearing or to throw more accusations about him. Rafe doesn't see a jury awarding her custody since her brother was just convicted of Jordan's murder. Zoey responds that she's not here to talk to him about Jordan's murder but about somebody else's..
