Days of Our Lives Update Wednesday 5/13/20

Ben and Ciara kiss in bed. They promise to wake up together for the rest of their lives. Ciara talks about Ben's proposal being like a dream. They say they are getting married for real and kiss. Ben says he's going to work but Ciara convinces him to be a couple minutes late so they continue kissing.

Gabi visits Dr. Rolf in prison and tells him to tell her the truth about her husband.

At the auto shop garage, Jake leaves a message for someone saying they need to call him back because things are getting even more complicated.

Chad, Jack, and Jennifer are at the police station. Rafe arrives so Chad questions where the hell he's been since Abigail ran away from the hospital last night and he still hasn't found her. Jack adds that they are worried she had another hallucination. Rafe responds that he has officers out on the streets looking for her now. Chad questions what the hell Rafe is doing and declares that if anything happens to Abigail, he's blaming Rafe.

Abigail sneaks in to the DiMera Mansion through the DiMera tunnels. She looks at the portrait of Stefano on the wall and then a photo of Gabi and Stefan. Abigail says to the portrait of Stefano that she needs his help and asks how to get rid of Gabi.

Ciara tells Ben that getting engaged is reason to celebrate. Ciara adds that Jake seems like a chill guy so he won't give him a hard time for being late. Ciara informs Ben that she's going to tell Hope today about their engagement. Ben suggests waiting until they have all the details about the wedding. Ciara worries that Hope will be hurt if she waits to tell her. Ciara assures that Hope is grateful to Ben for saving her life. Ben worries about Hope's reaction but Ciara insists that she just wants her to be happy. Ciara adds that she wants Hope to give her blessing but nobody can make her less devoted to him. Ciara calls Ben the love of her life and the best thing to ever happen to her. They say I love you to each other and kiss. Ciara decides Ben has to go to work while she has to get ready to tell her mom the wonderful news. They get out of bed to go shower.

Rafe says he knows Chad is worried but they are doing everything they can to find Abigail. Chad argues that if he was doing everything he could, he'd be out looking for her. Rafe brings up Jordan's murder case but Chad doesn't care, arguing that Abigail has been pushed to the brink and could hurt herself. Jack tells Chad to calm down but Chad refuses. Rafe insists they have it under control. Chad accuses Rafe of not wanting them to find Abigail so they don't find the truth because if they do then Gabi will go back to prison.

Dr. Rolf questions Gabi wishing to talk about the dearly departed Stefan O. DiMera. Gabi tells him that Stefan is back in Salem, working in a garage, and calling himself Jake. Gabi accuses Dr. Rolf of being responsible for that.

Jake thinks back to when Gabi fell in her high heels as he mops the spot where she fell.

Abigail begs the portrait of Stefano to help her then hides when Kate comes into the living room. Abigail peeks over the couch and imagines that Kate is Gabi preparing to drug her.

Dr. Rolf suggests Gabi seek counseling. Gabi wants the truth and brings up asking Dr. Rolf to do anything to save Stefan's life. Dr. Rolf says he told her that there was nothing to be done and suggests she go to anger management. Gabi says she's seen Stefan with her own eyes. Dr. Rolf asks how he could've done anything. Gabi suggests he injected him with something like he did to Will and EJ. Dr. Rolf argues that they still had their hearts. Gabi tries to make arguments but Dr. Rolf laughs at her and says she has an imagination. Gabi insists that he found a way to save him. Dr. Rolf asks why he would do that. Gabi shouts that he's Stefano's son. Dr. Rolf says if Stefan is still alive, he can't possibly do anything for her since he's in prison. Gabi wants to know why he's pretending to be this rude grease monkey who can't stand her.

Jake makes another phone call, leaving a message saying this is getting old and they need to call him back. Ben arrives and asks if it's anything he wants to talk about.

Ciara goes to see Hope. Hope hugs her and says it's so good to see her. Ciara asks how she's doing. Hope assures that she's fine and says it's good having company with Steve. Ciara informs Hope that she has some news and shows her the washer on her finger, revealing that it's a placeholder for a ring because she and Ben are engaged.

Rafe warns Chad about talking about people's sisters being sociopaths and asks about Kristen. Jennifer tries to say he didn't mean it. Rafe understands Chad is worried about Abigail but warns that if Chad keeps talking to him like that, he'll be the one who ends up behind bars.

Abigail continues to imagine that Kate is Gabi. Abe then enters the room to meet with Kate but he gets a phone call and steps out to answer it. Abigail imagines that Kate is Gabi drugging the coffee she is making. Abe then returns to the room. Kate informs Abe that she invited him here because she'd like an answer about the job. Abe says he thought so. Abe goes to drink the coffee when Abigail jumps out from behind the couch and tells Abe not to drink it because she put poison in it.

Dr. Rolf argues that Gabi doesn't know what she's talking about. Gabi says if he would've told her, she would've helped him. Dr. Rolf asks if this mechanic agrees that he is Stefan back from the dead and why she would think Stefan would run away from his father's business. Gabi says she doesn't know and talks about Stefano being Steve Johnson and Kristen being Nicole before, comparing that to now Stefan being Jake. Gabi guesses it's part of his big plan to take over the world. Gabi wants her husband back and says she will fight dirty if she has to in order to get him back. Gabi tells Dr. Rolf that she has two strategies to get him to help. Gabi says in return for his cooperation, she will hire the best legal team available to get him out of here. Gabi then reminds Dr. Rolf that she knows how prisons operate so she knows who to go to in order to make a call for him or to make sure he doesn't wake up in the morning. Gabi asks Dr. Rolf if he could bring himself back from the dead if he's dead. Dr. Rolf decides her first option is looking good. Gabi asks if he has something to tell her then. Dr. Rolf responds that she is right that he saved her husband's life..

Ben guesses Jake's phone call had to do with the two guys that had to beat the crap out of him but Jake claims it was just telemarketers. Jake notes that Ben is late. Ben informs Jake that he and Ciara got engaged last night. Jake comments that he doesn't seem too happy about it. Ben assures that he is but he's a little nervous because Ciara is telling her mom now and he doesn't see that going very well.

Ciara asks if Hope is going to say anything. Hope asks for a second to process this. Ciara wants her to be happy about this. Hope calls it kind of out of the blue. Ciara admits it took her by surprise too and explains how Ben proposed. Ciara adds that the washer is from Bo's motorcycle and says she loves it more than a diamond ring because it's kind of like her dad is giving Ben his blessing so she hopes that Hope will too.

Rafe tells Chad that he is going to his office to check for any updates. Jennifer sends Jack to go with Rafe. Jennifer tells Chad that she understands he's upset but if anyone is going to find Abigail, it's Rafe. Chad admits that he's losing it. Jennifer encourages that they have gotten Abigail back before so they will get her back again.

Abigail thinks Kate is Gabi and argues that she was trying to poison Abe just like she did to her. Kate questions why she would do that. Abigail talks to Kate as if she is Gabi. Kate grabs her and tells her that she's Kate but Abigail attacks her as if she is Gabi.

Ciara guesses it was too much to ask while Hope says she didn't even give her a chance to think. Ciara wants her to be happy about this. Hope says her head is spinning. Hope states that she will never be able to forget what Ben did but she can remember that he saved her daughter's life and that he really loves her. Hope tells Ciara that she loves her and says her new philosophy is to live in the right now and right now she sees that her daughter is so happy. Ciara calls her the best mom ever as they hug.

Jake asks if Ben and Ciara's mom don't get along. Ben responds that she has a real problem with his history so she did everything she could to keep them apart while she was the police commissioner but he gets she was trying to protect Ciara. Jake asks what the problem is then and questions what Ben did in his past.

Gabi says Dr. Rolf has finally admitted it. Rolf responds that she didn't leave him much choice. Gabi calls him her bitch now. Rolf tells her that the balance of power can shift. Gabi asks him why Stefan is pretending to be someone else, like he doesn't know her. Dr. Rolf talks about memory lapses and how Will and Jack both came back from the dead without their memory. Gabi guesses Stefan isn't faking it then, he just doesn't remember. Dr. Rolf reminds her that Jack and Will got their memories back thanks to his serum.

Abe separates Abigail and Kate while telling Abigail that it's not Gabi. Kate then calls Chad and tells him that Abigail just attacked her at the DiMera Mansion.

Ciara tells Hope how happy this makes her because she didn't expect it to work out this way. Ciara then asks Hope if she would help her plan the wedding which she agrees to do. Hope says they don't have a date so they have all the time and talks about where they will get married. Ciara says she'll have to discuss that with Ben. Hope suggests making a list of all the things she wants in order of importance. Ciara responds that what would be first on her list is wishing that her dad could walk her down the aisle as Hope hugs her.

Ben tells Jake about his serial killer past. Jake jokes about Ben literally having skeletons in his closet. Ben says he told him because he'd find out eventually but he's been completely straightened out and he doesn't want to lose this job. Jake jokes that they don't have to wear neck ties to work. Jake assures Ben that he can keep his job and asks when the wedding is. Ben says they haven't set a date yet but he hopes he has enough time to buy her a real ring. Jake comments on him being a traditional guy like that. Ben asks about Jake since he mentioned a woman in his life before but never said if he was married.

Dr. Rolf tells Gabi that the balance of power has shifted because he's the only one who could get Stefan's memory back and he has a stash of the serum. Dr. Rolf asks how Gabi can get him out of prison. Gabi says she will pay for the best legal team around. Dr. Rolf questions how when she's no longer CEO of DiMera. Gabi argues that she has allies on the board but Dr. Rolf notes that's not a sure thing. Gabi calls it his only shot of getting out so if he restores Stefan's memory then he will become CEO of DiMera and he'll be a free man with powerful friends. Gabi then demands he tell her where the serum is.

Hope tells Ciara that she will make the most stunning bride. Ciara notes the time and says she wants to go see Victor to tell him the good news, though she fears he won't see it that way. Hope suggests holding back on that for now but she has an idea involving Ben so Ciara asks what it is.

Ben guesses Jake is not big on sharing, just like Stefan wasn't. Ben then gets a call from Ciara, who tells him that Hope wants to take them out to lunch to celebrate. Ben is shocked that she wants to celebrate them getting married. Ciara admits it took her by surprise too. Ben says he'll ask Jake and text her back later. Ben hangs up and exclaims to Jake that Ciara's mom wants to take them to lunch if that's okay. Jake agrees and comments that Hope sounds like an easygoing lady.

Dr. Rolf tells Gabi that their deal stands even if the serum doesn't work. Gabi asks if he doesn't trust her then tells him to wish her luck as she exits the prison. Rolf remarks that she's going to need it.

Jack returns to the police station where Jennifer tells him that Abigail attacked Kate at the DiMera Mansion because she hallucinated that she was Gabi but Abe was there to stop her and now Chad is going to take her back to the hospital so Jack and Jennifer rush out of the station.

Abigail continues insisting to Abe that Gabi was trying to poison him. Abe assures her that it's Kate, not Gabi, and that Kate wouldn't hurt anyone. Chad arrives and hugs Abigail, telling her that everything is going to be okay. Abigail argues about Gabi and poison, insisting she knows what she saw but Chad says they will get her back to the hospital and get her some help. Abigail admits that she's scared. Chad tells her that he's here now and promises not to let anything happen to her. Chad then escorts Abigail out of the mansion.

Hope, Ciara, and Ben go to lunch. Hope proposes a toast to Ben and Ciara having a happy long life together as husband and wife.

At the police station, Rafe gets a call and says they have to be kidding.

Kate returns to the living room where Abe informs her that Chad took Abigail to the hospital. Kate hopes she gets the help she needs in a locked room. Kate then asks Abe if she gets the job or not.

Chad brings Abigail to the hospital and tells her that Marlena is on her way and she will know how to help her. Jennifer and Jack arrive and rush over to check on Abigail. Jennifer hugs her and says she's so glad she's okay. Jack encourages that everything will be fine. Jennifer adds that they are here for her. Abigail then imagines them as Ben, Stefan, and Gabi but doesn't say anything.

Gabi obtains Dr. Rolf's serum, puts it into a syringe, and places it in her purse as she enters the garage where Jake is working. Jake questions what the hell she is doing here.
