Ben tells Jake that the guys thought he was him, not Stefan. Jake calls that very strange. Ben admits he didn't tell Eli everything. Ciara questions why not. Ben says these thugs were looking for something and wanted it bad enough to beat the crap out of him. Ben asks Jake what they wanted. Ciara adds that Ben could've been killed so she asks what Jake is hiding.

Will visits Maggie at the prison and informs her that Xander called and told him that she knows the truth. Maggie mentions that one year ago today, she killed her own granddaughter.

Xander and Brady are on the Titan jet. Xander is playing music loudly until Brady smashes his phone to shut it off. They argue over being on the plane. Xander points out that Brady no longer works for Titan. Brady and Xander talk about heading to Paris to find Sarah and the baby.

Kristen arrives at the apartment in Paris and heads inside to find Rex tied up. Kristen removes the gag from his mouth and asks what happened and where Sarah and the baby are. Rex informs her that they are gone.

Sarah is with Rachel at the train station, saying she's sorry they have to leave Paris but no one will ever find them again. Sarah mentions it's been a whole year since the baby was born and brings out a cupcake to celebrate. Sarah talks about it being Mother's Day last year and she thinks back to celebrating with Maggie.

Kristen asks Rex where Sarah took her baby. Rex says he did his best to convince her to return to Salem. Kristen asks when she left. Rex says it hasn't been long but she didn't say where she was going to she could be anywhere by now.

Brady asks what Xander is going to do when he finds Sarah since she hates his guts. Xander responds that he's much more interested in Brady's plan and asks if Kristen is already in Paris. Brady says he doesn't know but assures that Kristen won't hurt Sarah. Xander points out that Kristen killed Haley and stabbed Victor so she has a habit of losing her temper. Brady notes that she did lose her baby because of Xander. Xander questions how he got the lead on Paris. Brady explains that Kristen tracked Rex's phone and she seems to believe Rex might be with Sarah which Xander calls impossible. Brady mentions that Xander blew up Sarah's life so she could've ran to her ex husband for comfort. Xander tells her to shut up and says it's not his business. Brady calls him a son of a bitch for stealing his baby.

Jake says he doesn't know who the guys were or what they wanted, guessing it was some type of misunderstanding. Ciara doesn't believe him and wants the truth. Ben tells Jake that he won't force him to tell him what's going on but those guys clearly meant business so whatever he's mixed up in is not going away any time soon.

Xander asks Brady if he wants to hit him. Brady wants to throw him off the plane and doesn't want to hear his excuses. Brady talks about he and Kristen thinking their baby was dead for a year while Xander and Victor tried to justify it. Xander argues that Brady loves Maggie as much as he does and no one deserves the grief of being responsible for the death of her grandchild. Brady asks what about the grief he caused he and Kristen. Xander says it's all fallen apart since Sarah hates him and now Maggie knows that she killed her own granddaughter. Brady questions who told Maggie so Xander admits that he did.

Maggie tells Will that it's hard enough that she caused the crash that killed Adrienne but she always thanked God that Sarah and the baby were okay. Maggie guesses that's what Julie was going to tell her when Will interrupted and got her out. Will apologizes and explains that Victor made he and Sonny promise not to say anything to her. Maggie argues that he had no right to do that or to switch the babies. Will can't believe he's defending Victor after what he did to him but he was just trying to protect her. Maggie states that Kristen and Brady paid the price.

Sarah thinks back to Xander crashing her Mother's Day brunch with Maggie last year. Sarah talks about being so annoyed with Xander that day and thinking the day couldn't get any worse, then the accident happened.

Kristen asks Rex if Sarah mentioned anything specific. Kristen guesses that Sarah must be at the airport. Rex stops her and suggests it'd be easier to anonymously purchase a train ticket. Kristen points out there are so many train stations. Rex asks her to untie him so he can help.

Kate is in the town square when she gets a call from Mimi. Kate tells her that she spoke to Rex yesterday but hasn't heard from him since. Mimi tells her that she expected Rex back in Chicago today. Kate calls that odd and promises to call when she hears from him. Kate hangs up and is then shocked to see Jake as she believes he is Stefan.

Ben and Ciara return to their room at the Salem Inn. Ben comments on his first day at the job not going as planned. Ciara still wants him to go to the hospital but Ben insists he's fine. Ciara worries that Ben could've been killed and calls Jake a jerk. Ciara adds that those guys could come back and still think Ben is Jake so he could die next time. She thinks that he should quit.

Brady questions why Xander told Maggie the truth. Xander explains that another inmate let it slip that Victor was stabbed so Maggie demanded answers and he told her everything. Brady supposes it's better that she knows the truth since it would come out anyways and it's probably appropriate that it came from Xander. Xander responds that she should've heard it from Victor but Kristen made that impossible. Xander calls Kristen a psycho who should be locked up. Brady asks if he can really blame her since he stole her baby. Xander calls that poetic justice since Kristen tried to steal a baby first. Brady calls what happened with Theresa ancient history. Xander informs him that this was more recent as Kristen tried to steal Sarah's child first which surprises Brady.

Sarah talks about how her baby was supposed to be born in a nice, clean hospital with doctors and nurses but because of the accident, everything was changed in an instant.

Kristen unties Rex and says she knows Paris pretty well so she suggests he check the train stations on the west while she checks the east. Rex argues that will take a lot of time that they don't have so he suggests calling the police but Kristen says she can't let him do that.

Kate argues that Stefan is dead. Jake clarifies that his name is Jake. Kate questions what game he's playing. Jake is tired of everyone coming down on him for looking like this Stefan guy. Kate recalls Gabi being convinced that she saw Stefan a few days ago and guesses she saw him. Jake asks Kate to explain what the hell Gabi's deal is.

Ben reminds Ciara how hard it was for him to find a job so he's not quitting the only place that would hire him. Ciara feels it's not worth risking his life for. Ben promises that nothing will happen to him. Ben wants food as they were supposed to be celebrating his new job and her grandfather waking up. Ciara says she's not in the mood to celebrate after Ben almost died tonight. Ben refuses to let those two guys ruin their night as they kiss. Ciara asks where they will be going. Ben says it's a surprise and goes to take a shower.

Maggie tells Will about how she held Brady's hand, watched him grieve, and went to meetings with him and watched him push down his pain to be strong for Kristen when they should've been rejoicing their child. Maggie adds that the whole time, Victor knew and asks what kind of person can watch someone they love grieve and do nothing. Will thinks only Victor can answer that. Maggie asks how Victor is. Will tells her that he's a lot better and he's sure he will come visit as soon as he's out of the hospital. Maggie is not sure what she'd have to say to him. Will reminds her that Victor loves her. Maggie brings up what Victor has done in the name of love, the lives he's changed forever, and the harm he has done. Maggie asks if there's any news on Sarah. Will says he's afraid that no one has been able to find Sarah and the baby yet. Maggie wishes she could just tell her that everything is going to be okay but she knows it's not. Maggie breaks down crying about Sarah's baby dying and she can't imagine what her daughter is going through because of her.

Sarah continues talking to Rachel about how she's usually very calm under pressure but she was freaked out going into labor on the side of the road, because she didn't want anything to go wrong as she flashes back to that night. Sarah calls it the scariest moment of her life and talks about Xander being there for everything. Sarah says she gave birth and Xander was their hero or so she thought.

Rex questions why he can't call the police. Kristen then reveals that she's wanted for attempted murder. Rex asks if there's anything else she'd like to share. Kristen tells him that when she found out Victor stole her baby, she snapped and stuck a knife in his chest. Rex thought Brady did that. Kristen explains that he confessed to protect her. Kristen adds that she was against it but Victor woke up and told the truth. Rex notes that Paris authorities don't know she's wanted. Kristen says she can't take that chance because if she goes to prison, she'll never get to be with her daughter. Rex calls it nuts that first Sarah is on the run and now she's on the run. Rex says he's going to call the police but Kristen warns that if he does, he will live to regret it.

Brady questions what Xander is talking about. Xander figured Kristen didn't tell him about her scheme. Xander explains that when Sarah first found out she was pregnant with Eric's baby, she considered an abortion, Kristen found out and tried to get him to help her steal Sarah's baby from her womb so she could get implanted in hers which Brady recalls from Tate's birth. Xander tells him that Kristen was convinced that she could play the baby off as yours. Brady calls it ridiculous but Xander tells him that he can ask Kristen, or Dr. Rolf who was supposed to perform the procedure but then he realized that Kristen was already pregnant which is the only reason she didn't steal Sarah's. Xander argues that because of this, Kristen has no right to play the poor victim.

Rex asks if Kristen's going to kill him too. Kristen says she needs his help. Rex tells her not to threaten him then. Kristen admits she was desperate. Kristen brings up Rex having a daughter and tells him to imagine if she was kept from him. Kristen asks him to help her which he agrees to do. Rex decides they'll split up to hit the train stations like she wanted but warns that Sarah could be long gone. Kristen doesn't care how long it takes because nothing and no one can stop her from finding her baby.

Sarah says it was all a blur after Xander took them to the hospital. Sarah recalls being exhausted and Xander placing Rachel in her arms while her baby was dead.

Kate tells Jake that she understands why Gabi thinks he is her husband because of the resemblance. Jake calls Gabi a wackjob who has been stalking and harassing him while she won't accept the truth. Kate tells him to understand that Gabi was deeply in love with Stefan. Kate explains that it started as a con but by the time he died, he was Gabi's world so when she lost him, her world was shattered. Jake says he's sorry to hear that. Kate says just in case he is Stefan, it would be terribly cruel not to be truthful with Gabi because she's lost a lot and she doesn't think she can take much more.

Ben joins Ciara outside the park with Chinese food and flowers. Ciara says it's just like their first date and calls it perfect as they kiss. Ben says their first date was them celebrating him getting a job with Stefan and now they are celebrating him getting a job with Stefan's lookalike. Ciara comments that Jake is apparently just as dangerous as Stefan. Ben jokes that at least he has a job. Ciara points out that she technically never quit Titan and talks about all that's going on with Victor.

Maggie tells Will that today would be Mickie's first birthday but it's the first anniversary of Sarah's baby's death. Will says that doesn't erase all the memories of the past year and the love Sarah gave to the baby. Maggie talks about Sarah seeing her through cancer and says there's nothing deeper than a bond between mother and child. Will relates to when his uncle Austin thought he was his child for years and even when he found out Lucas was his father, Austin said he never stopped thinking of him as his son. Will thinks it took a long time to come to terms with the truth. Maggie feels it will be just as difficult for Sarah.

Sarah tells Rachel that Xander lied and said she was hers and somewhere inside she knew the truth but she ignored her instincts because she so badly wanted it to be true. Sarah doesn't care what anyone says and declares she is her daughter.

Will tells Maggie that he's worried about Sarah but about her too. Maggie tells him not to be because she's exactly where she deserves to be after what she's done to the people she loves. Will relates to when he was in prison which Maggie says never should've happened and she's sorry he had to go through that. Will tells her to stop apologizing and says it's okay. Will encourages that she's not alone in this as they are all here for her. Maggie points out that she robbed Sonny of his mother and she may never see Sarah again. Will tells her not to go down that path. Maggie argues that Sarah must hate her as she hates herself. Will calls it an accident. Maggie cries that she was drunk and asks how to live with that.

Xander tells Brady that they are going to land soon. Brady suggests they get something straight first. Brady says they both want to find Sarah and the baby so he doesn't want him to get in his way because then they will have a problem. Brady declares that nothing will stop him from reuniting Kristen with her baby. Xander guesses they will have to see about that.

Sarah tells Rachel that they are all about the future now and promises to throw her a birthday party at their new home. Sarah says it's almost time to board the train so they should get going. Kristen then appears in front of her at the station.

Kate wishes Jake luck. Jake asks if she didn't like Stefan DiMera. Kate responds that the man gave her many reasons not to trust him so she hopes the same doesn't happen with him. Kate walks away and then Jake gets a phone call. Jake says he got the message and tells them to call off the goons as he's doing the best he can.

Ciara tells Ben that she loves their tradition of Chinese food in the park. Ben guesses they have Julie to thank since she refused to take his reservation on their first date. Ciara jokes that her family gave him such a hard time. Ben doesn't blame them as he had to earn their trust after what he had done. Ciara says he did and calls him amazing as they kiss. Ben gives Ciara her fortune cookie to open. She opens the cookie and the fortune inside reads "Will you marry me?"
