At the Kiriakis Mansion, Xander comes across a framed photo of Sarah and thinks back to their wedding falling apart. Xander states that he did do it for her and he has to make her understand that. Xander then pulls out his phone.

Sarah packs her things and tells Rachel that they are almost ready to start their adventure while Rex remains tied up. Sarah's phone then rings.

At the police station, Lani asks Eli if they can talk about what happened with Kristen. Eli asks what there is to talk about when the security footage says it all. Lani wants to explain. Eli argues that she helped Kristen sneak out of the station and lied to him about where she was. Lani argues that he doesn't understand. Eli says that Kristen stabbed Victor and Lani helped her evade arrest. Lani argues that Kristen is her friend and she's been through Hell so she had to help her. Eli warns her that she's lucky that he didn't report it to Rafe and that she didn't get arrested as he questions what the hell she was thinking.

Jake finishes patching up Gabi and asks if she won't sue him which she agrees to. Jake tells her to go because he has to get back to work. Gabi knows he doesn't want to talk to her but she needs answers and there's only one way to find out. Jake says no to a DNA sample. Gabi says there is a must simpler way to find out what she wants to know as she grabs Jake and kisses him. Jake questions what the hell that was for and why she did that. Gabi calls him her husband but Jake says he's not. Gabi argues that they exchanged vows and he is here, alive.

Ciara goes to the auto shop garage and finds Ben unconscious on the floor. Ciara rushes to try and wake him up. Ben slowly comes to so Ciara asks him what happened. Ben explains that two guys showed up and attacked him with a crowbar. Ciara wants to take him to the hospital. Ben insists that he's okay. Ciara decides to call the cops then.

Jake tells Gabi that he is alive but he's not Stefan DiMera so he tells her to get out so he can get to work. Gabi talks about her relationship with Stefan but Jake doesn't want to hear it. Gabi argues that he kissed her back. He accuses her of ambushing him. Gabi mocks the idea of him not being Stefan and says the kiss gave it away. Jake argues that he didn't kiss her back but Gabi says he did.

Sarah says the call is from Xander. Rex wants her to answer it but Sarah says Rex just thinks he can convince her to turn herself in and take "Mickie" back but that won't happen so she ignores the call.

Xander leaves a voicemail for Sarah saying he knows she doesn't want to talk to him but he needs to talk to her so he asks her to please call him back.

Eli takes Lani in to the interrogation room. Lani knows what she did was wrong but says Kristen was desperate. Eli says Kristen knew that Victor would out her for attempted murder so she wanted to get out and Lani helped her. Lani argues that Kristen's baby is missing which Eli calls a sob story. Eli calls Kristen a wildcard and asks what if she goes after Sarah like she did Victor. Lani insists that she won't do that. Eli doesn't understand how Lani doesn't get that Kristen manipulated and used her, questioning how she let her trick her like that. Lani argues that she didn't trick her because if she didn't help her, she may never see her baby again. Eli gets that Kristen is going through Hell but says they took an oath to uphold the law. Lani responds that some things are more important than the law but Eli says that's not for her to decide. Lani says if she found out that their son was still alive and some monster kept him from her, she probably would've done exactly what Kristen did. Lani tells Eli that if he can't understand that a mother would do whatever she can for her child then he can handcuff her.

Ciara finishes her call and tells Ben that the cops are on their way. Ciara wants Ben to go to the hospital but he refuses and kisses her. Ciara asks if he recognized who attacked him. Ben says he's never seen them before and thinks it was a warning. Ciara doesn't understand. Ben reveals that he thinks they thought he was Jake.

Jake tells Gabi that he did not like the kiss and he's not lying about who he is. Jake calls her a complete stranger and says he has zero feelings for her. Gabi asks why he tried to help her when she fainted in the town square then. Gabi insists that he is Stefan. Jake calls her crazy but Gabi talks about how many people have come back from the dead in Salem. Jake jokes that he envies her husband because she can't harass him where he is. Jake yells at Gabi to get out but she refuses to go.

Lani tells Eli to arrest her but Eli gets a phone call and says he'll be right there. Eli informs Lani that a call came in about a possible assault and battery so they want a detective on the scene. They both go to leave which Eli questions. Lani says they are partners so she's going with him but Eli says he can't let her do that, now that he knows upholding the law is not important to her as he then exits.

Xander goes to the hospital and visits Victor. Xander asks how he's feeling. Victor says like he got stabbed in the chest by a maniac. Victor asks if he has good news. Xander informs him that he went to see Maggie and she knows what she did to Sarah and her baby.

Sarah finishes packing her bag and tells Rex that she'll make sure someone finds him as soon as she and the baby are really far away. Sarah tells Rex that it was good to see him and agrees to remove his gag as long as he promises not to scream. Rex tells her that she can't just leave like this but Sarah says she is. Rex asks where she is going. Sarah says she doesn't know but she won't tell him so he can tell the world. Rex warns her to think about what she's doing and what it will do to this little girl. Sarah says they will go start over somewhere together and it will be great. Sarah claims she doesn't have a choice and ends the conversation by putting the gag back on Rex. Sarah apologizes for hitting him over the head and for all of this. Sarah goes to leave the apartment but her neighbor Jeanne Marie shows up at the door.

Jack and Jennifer are at the Brady Pub. Jack wants to order something to eat but Jennifer is not hungry and wants to go back to the hospital. Jack says they just came from the hospital and they need a break as Chad will call if anything happens. Jennifer says she just keeps thinking about when Abigail was little. Jennifer feels it doesn't seem fair that Abigail has struggled so hard and overcome this for her children. Jack reminds her that she was drugged. Jennifer says it just brings back all the memories of her going through so much. Jack assures that it's not the same and that she will be herself again when the drug is out of her system. Jennifer notes that's not what Marlena said. Jack says they can't go there as they have to stay optimistic. Jennifer hopes they can prove that Gabi did this to Abigail, again, and says nothing could be more cruel. Jack hopes Gabi finally gets what she deserves.

Jake tells Gabi to get out. Gabi says she will when he admits he's her husband. Jake says that's not true and accuses her of trespassing. Gabi tells him that he can call the police if he wants her out so bad then accuses him of living under an assumed name. Jake tells her he tried to be nice but this is over.

Eli goes to the auto shop garage where Ciara tells him that Ben was assaulted. Eli asks if there's any security footage but Ben says no. Eli asks him to describe who did it. Ben tells him they were two big guys in their 20s maybe who attacked him with a crowbar. Ben notes that they didn't rob the place so Eli asks if he knows why they assaulted him. Ben explains that they thought he was his boss. Eli asks when he started working here. Ben says he just started today. Eli calls it a hell of a first day on the job and asks where his boss is. Eli informs him that he's upstairs with Gabi. Eli questions what Gabi has to do with all of this. Jake then brings Gabi back downstairs where Eli assumes that he is Stefan DiMera.

Lani calls Kristen and leaves a message, asking if she heard from Theo yet and says to call her when she gets the message. Brady enters the police station and informs her that the district attorney overruled Eli so the charges have been dropped which means he's free to go and free to try to find Kristen to track down their daughter. Brady notes that won't be easy because Kristen has disappeared. Lani stops him and says there is something he needs to know.

Victor questions Xander telling Maggie the truth and what he was thinking after all the trouble they went through. Xander argues that he didn't have a choice because another inmate was going on about Victor being stabbed which made Maggie frantic and asking all sorts of questions. Xander notes that Maggie warned him that if he didn't tell her, she'd find out elsewhere so he thought he'd prefer she hear it from him rather than a random person in her cell. Victor asks how she took it. Xander says that learning she killed her own granddaughter made her fall apart and it broke his heart too. Victor wants to get to Maggie to make sure she's okay but Xander says he's in no condition to go anywhere.

Sarah tells Jeanne Marie that they were just heading out. She says she just wanted to check on them. Sarah says they are fine and in a bit of a hurry. Rex tries screaming from inside so Jeanne Marie questions what that is and looks inside.

Eli asks if it's really Stefan. He introduces himself as Jake and says he apparently looks like Gabi's late husband. Eli tells Jake about Ben being assaulted. Jake asks what the hell happened and if he's okay. Ben says he's fine but Ciara says he's not. Eli explains that while he was upstairs, two men attacked Ben. Jake asks why and if they took anything. Ben responds that they thought he was him. Eli then questions why two men would want to beat Jake up.

Victor argues that Maggie needs him while Xander says he needs to get well and tells him not to worry about Maggie. Xander explains that he's taken care of her by contacting Will to tell him what happened so he's on his way to the prison to be with Maggie. Xander adds that he also called Sarah and it went straight to voicemail so he has no idea where she and the baby are but insists he's going to find her before anyone else does and straighten this mess out.

Lani takes Brady into the interrogation room and tells him that she might be able to help him find Kristen. Brady asks what she's talking about since Eli said she ran. Lani then reveals she knows where she is. Brady guesses that she helped her. Lani says she probably shouldn't have but Kristen has the chance to be with her baby again and she knew if she got arrested, that might not happen. Lani adds that Eli knows and is not happy with her. Brady recognizes that she put a lot on the line. Lani says she did because she would do anything for a second chance with her baby and Kristen deserves that. Brady thanks her and asks where Kristen is. Lani tells him that she took her to a safe place where they could figure out where the baby is. Brady asks if they have any idea. Lani says not exactly but they did come up with a lead.

Jeanne Marie sees Rex and assumes he's Chad as Sarah goes along with pretending to be Abigail. She then comes inside wanting to talk to him.

Jennifer talks to Julie on the phone, telling her there's no more news. She hangs up and gets a call from Chad, who informs her that Abigail is missing from the hospital so Jennifer and Jack rush out of the Pub.

Jake says he has no idea who would want to beat him up. Eli asks if he's not in any trouble. Jake says no and suggests maybe they thought he was this Stefan guy who ran with shifty people. Gabi tells him he's wrong. Jake talks about researching Stefan DiMera and says it's understandable if someone would come after him if they thought he was alive. Eli asks Ben if he thinks that's possible.

Lani explains to Brady that Kristen got a voicemail from Rex. Brady asks what he said. Lani says just that he wanted her to call him back and it was important but then the message cut mid-sentence. Lani mentions that she called the hospital in Chicago and found out that Rex was in a medical conference in Paris and didn't show up for work the next day. Lani and Brady guess that Rex had to be with Sarah. Lani tells him that she then called Theo to have him trace the number and she tried checking back with Kristen but she hasn't called her back yet. Brady asks Lani to take him to Kristen which Lani agrees to do. Lani then gets a call from Theo.

Victor asks Xander if they have arrested Kristen yet. Xander informs him that she got away from the police and could be anywhere. Xander worries that Kristen will go after Sarah and he's afraid of what she will do when she finds her. Victor says they have to make sure the police get to Kristen first so when she's put in jail for stabbing him, they won't have to worry about her going after Sarah, Brady, or anyone else.

Sarah tells Jeanne Marie that Rex is just feeling sick and that she was just in a hurry to go get him cough syrup. She encourages them to fix their problems and she tries to come closer but Sarah stops her and says she can't let her do that.

Eli says he has to get back to the police station as there's nothing to go on, no footage or witnesses. Eli says he will file a report but there's not much else he can do at this point. Ben is sorry he couldn't be of more help but it happened so fast. Eli tells him to let him know if he remembers anything else. Jake says he'll let him know if they come back. Jake then tells Eli that Gabi has been harassing and stalking him so he was about to call the cops. Jake says since Eli is here, maybe he can escort her out. Gabi refuses to go so Jake threatens to call the police. Gabi says they are not done. Eli warns Gabi that if Jake calls the cops, the next officer to come out might not be so understanding. Gabi then agrees to go but says she will be back and she will figure out the truth as she then exits. Eli then follows out.

Xander tells Victor that this has blown up in their faces. Victor says they will do damage control and orders Xander to use all the Titan resources he needs to find Sarah and the baby to make things right. Xander thanks him and is not sure he deserves his generosity after letting him down. Xander says he wouldn't blame him if he hated him. Victor assures that he doesn't hate him and that he's proven to be a true Kiriakis. Victor tells Xander that he's very proud of him doing his best to carry the Kiriakis family. Xander feels he's made such a mess of things. Victor says he learned how to put his family first and make all the hard choices. Victor says now with Maggie in pieces and Sarah and the baby missing, all the work they did to protect them was all for nothing. Xander says not if he can help it as he then exits the room.

Lani reminds Theo this stays between them as she finishes her call. Lani informs Brady that Theo tracked down Brady's exact location in Paris. Brady asks if Kristen knows. Lani says that Theo said he called her and was surprised that she hadn't called yet. Brady guesses she's already on her way and admits he's worried about Sarah. Lani asks if he thinks Kristen would hurt her. Brady says they can ask Victor that question. Brady feels he's the only one who could talk Kristen out of doing something she will regret so he has to go. Brady thanks Lani and exits the station.

Jeanne Marie asks why she can't see Sarah's husband. Sarah says he's sick and doesn't want her to get sick so she agrees to leave.

Jake tells Ben that he's really sorry this happened. Ben says he's fine but Ciara disagrees. Jake insists he knows nothing about this. Ben asks if he's sure about this since the guys thought he was him, not Stefan. Jake calls that very strange. Ben admits he didn't tell Eli everything. Ciara questions why not. Ben says these thugs were looking for something and wanted it bad enough to beat the crap out of him. Ben asks Jake what they wanted.

Eli returns to the police station. Lani asks if everything is okay. Eli says it's fine. Lani questions if that's all he's going to give her. Eli informs her that Ben was assaulted but he's okay and it was just mistaken identity. Lani asks if he's decided on if he will tell Rafe that she helped Kristen escape. Gabi storms in saying she needs to talk to them because their job is to protect and serve the community. Eli asks what she wants. Gabi declares that she needs to talk to Dr. Rolf.

Xander joins Brady on the Titan jet.

Kristen arrives at the apartment in Paris and heads inside.
