Eric wakes up from a nightmare about Nicole having to remind him that his baby is dead. Nicole comes in and asks if he's okay. Eric says he just had a dream and he's alright but Nicole guesses it was about Mickie. Eric admits it was and he was reminded that his little girl was dead. Nicole tells him that she's so sorry.

Eli brings Brady into the interrogation room and asks him where the hell Kristen is.

Lani meets Kristen at a motel and tells her that she hasn't found Rachel yet. Kristen tells her that she shouldn't have asked for Lani's help because she doesn't want to ruin her life like she did Brady's.

Xander goes to see Maggie in prison. Maggie questions where he's been and what took him so long after getting her message. Xander asks why she wanted to see him. Maggie thought it would be obvious.

Sarah has Rex tied up and gagged as she apologizes for hitting him over the head but says she couldn't let him force her to hand the baby over to that maniac Kristen DiMera.

Brady tells Eli that he has no idea where Kristen is and he hasn't seen her since she was here yesterday. Eli remarks that his arraignment was for something he didn't do. Brady questions why he would confess then. Eli accuses him of covering for Kristen. Brady claims he wouldn't do that but Eli reveals to him that it's over because Victor woke up which shocks Brady. Eli informs Brady that Victor made it very clear that Brady was not the one who stabbed him. Eli adds that Victor is alive and talking. Brady asks if he will be okay. Eli says he'll have to talk to his doctors about that but right now, he needs to tell him where Kristen is because Victor told him that Kristen stabbed him so she's wanted for attempted murder.

Lani tells Kristen that they are in this together. Lani brings Kristen her phone that she left at the police station. Kristen brings up that Lani just got back with Eli and just got her job back so she doesn't want her to screw up her life for her. Lani assures that it's her decision and argues that Sarah stole her baby so she's just trying to get her back. Lani declares she will do anything she can to help her.

Sarah tells Rex that she had to do anything she could to keep him from telling Kristen where they were. Sarah talks about Kristen pretending to be Nicole, letting Nicole believe her child was dead, and killing people. Sarah argues that Kristen shouldn't have a child so when Rex called her, she realized she can't trust him any more than she can trust Xander.

Xander asks Maggie if it's about Victor. Maggie questions if something is wrong with Victor. Xander claims Victor was just sorry he couldn't visit her yesterday. Maggie tells him that this is about Sarah as the last time she saw her, she was here in her wedding dress about to marry him but the next thing she knows, the wedding is off so she wants to know why. Xander responds that it's his fault. Maggie says for months, everyone tried to warn Sarah about him so she needs to know why she changed her mind. Maggie asks what he's not telling her. Xander claims he's not keeping anything from her and that Sarah just got cold feet. Maggie asks why she didn't tell her that then. Xander says that she didn't want her to worry. Another prisoner walks by and tells Maggie that she's sorry to hear about her old man. Maggie questions what happened. She asks if Maggie didn't know he got stabbed.

Eric tells Nicole that he just never know when it's going to hit him, just when he's starting to accept it. Nicole knows the grief and guesses they'll just have to ride the wave. Eric says being with her and Holly is what helps. Eric comments that Nicole looked like she was going to tell him something important when she came in. Nicole reveals that it was on the news that they were right that Brady didn't stab Victor, Kristen did. Nicole explains that Victor woke up and told the cops it was Kristen and now she's gone missing. Eric asks if Brady has been released then. Nicole says not yet and it might take awhile. Eric guesses they can't do anything but wait but Nicole has an idea for something they can do.

Brady mocks the idea of Victor saying it was Kristen and that Victor always tells the truth. Eli questions why Kristen disappeared if she's innocent, explaining that she wasn't at the Salem Inn and no one has heard from her. Eli asks if that's a coincidence and thinks that Kristen is making a run for it.

Kristen can't believe Lani is doing this for her and doesn't want to drag her down with her like she did with Brady. Lani says they have been over that they are best friends, they are sticking together, and they are going to get her little girl back where she belongs.

Sarah agrees to let Rex eat as long as he swears not to call for help when she removes his gag. She warns him not to make her regret it.

Brady tells Eli that Kristen isn't making a run for it, she's out there looking for their baby since the police don't seem to be. Eli assures that they are going to find Sarah and the baby and Kristen. Brady argues that Kristen isn't guilty just because Victor said she did it while Eli argues that Brady saying she's innocent doesn't make it true. Eli says he knows what Brady is up to and that he confessed because he knew Kristen was going to turn herself in. Eli knows Brady is protecting Kristen so she can be free when Rachel is found. Brady claims he confessed because it was the truth. Eli asks if they had a plan because he thinks Brady put her up to it and maybe even found her somewhere to hide. Eli needs him to tell him where Kristen is, warning that the longer this drags out, the worse it is for her.

Lani gets Kristen's phone charged so she can check her messages. Kristen sees a Chicago number that she doesn't recognize. Kristen listens to her voicemail from Rex which leaves her and Lani confused.

Rex asks Sarah to untie one of his hands but she refuses. Rex points out that he didn't scream when she took the gag off. Sarah argues that he just thinks he can talk her into letting him go but that's not going to happen. Rex points out that he almost convinced her last night that she cannot lie to the baby for the rest of her life. Sarah questions him thinking she should know that her biological mother is a psychopath and a murderer. Sarah asks if she should know that she was conceived when her mother tricked her father into thinking she was someone else. Sarah declares that Kristen did the worst thing possible when she murdered another human being. Rex insists that "Mackenzie" will be protected but Sarah doesn't buy it. Rex calls what she's doing crazy and argues that Sarah is making decisions based on what she thinks is best. Rex says she's playing God like Kristen or Victor would. Sarah tells him that Brady would go to prison, Maggie is in prison, which means that her baby girl could end up alone with Kristen and Victor. Rex reminds her that she's not her little girl. Sarah says no little girl should go through that. Rex says he knows when she recovers from this trauma, she will regret everything she is doing. Sarah decides he is done talking.

Maggie questions Victor being stabbed and if he's alright. Xander tells the prisoner that she has a big mouth. Maggie questions Xander thinking she didn't need to know this. Xander says that Victor is fine. Maggie questions Xander not telling her. Xander insists he will be okay. Maggie asks who did it. Xander says it doesn't matter. The prisoner tells her it was his grandson, Brady. Maggie questions if that's true and demands Xander tell her why.

Eric and Nicole eat outside while Holly plays on the playground. Nicole asks if he's okay since he's still grieving Mickie while they are at a picnic with Holly. Nicole apologizes for being insensitive and encourages that he's not alone. Eric tells her this is exactly what he needs as she's reminded him that he has important, wonderful things in his life. Nicole tells him that she loves him. Eric says he's crazy about her as they kiss.

Kristen tells Lani that she hasn't talked to Rex in years, mentioning how Sarah dumped him for Eric, and then wonders if he knows where Sarah is.

Rex swears to stop so that Sarah doesn't put the gag back on him. Sarah thinks he sees this as revenge on her. Rex argues that he's trying to help her because he cares about her which Sarah mocks. Rex says after everything they have been through, they are still friends. Rex says he loves her as a friend and only wants what's best for her. Sarah remarks that he never knew what was best for her and still doesn't. Rex gets that he made her angry which Sarah calls laughable and arrogant. Sarah questions him preaching about what's right and best for her when he said he loved her but knocked up another woman. Rex argues that he's acknowledged his wrongdoings but they need to be talking about her and the baby and how her decisions are going to end badly for all involved. Sarah cries that he doesn't understand but Rex says he does. Rex knows how painful losing the baby could be. Sarah cries that it's all a nightmare and she doesn't think she will ever recover from the night of the accident. Rex repeats that he's so sorry. Rex knows she doesn't think she can handle any more loss but she has to face the facts. Rex reminds her that he was supposed to go home yesterday which means he is supposed to show up at work today so if he doesn't show up, people will wonder where he is and they know that Paris is the last place he was so they will come looking for him here. Rex's phone then rings so he guesses that's them and asks Sarah to get it. Sarah picks up his phone and he confirms it's the hospital so he asks her to let him take the call.

Xander asks the prisoner to give him alone time with Maggie so she leaves. Maggie tells Xander that he needs to tell her everything because if he doesn't, they have internet access here so she will find out. Maggie asks why Brady stabbed Victor and says she knows it's not over Victor giving Xander his job because that was over a year ago. Maggie argues that when Brady gets to the end of his rope, he drinks, so something horrible must have happened to make him violent. Xander then reveals to Maggie that it wasn't Brady who stabbed Victor, it was Kristen.

Rex tells Sarah that if he doesn't take the call, things will get a whole lot worse. Rex asks what if it's a patient. Sarah argues that there are other doctors so she ignores the call. Sarah declares that no one is taking her child away from her.

Brady tells Eli that if he knew where Kristen was, he would tell him because she has no reason to hide and she's innocent. Brady suggests letting him go so he can help find her and bring her back. Eli declares that until they find Kristen, they have to assume Brady is a co-conspirator so he's not going anywhere.

Maggie questions why Kristen stabbed Victor. Xander says she's always hated him. Maggie argues that something must have happened. Xander blames it on Kristen being crazy and brings up her pushing Haley down the stairs. Maggie says there must have been a trigger or Victor must have said something to set her off. Xander swears that all he knows is that Brady confessed to protect Kristen. Maggie notes that Xander doesn't seem all that interested and argues that he's been trying to keep her from the truth by dodging her questions just like Will did when she asked why they called off the wedding. Maggie adds that Will did everything he could to stop Julie from telling her something. Maggie questions what they all think they are trying to protect her from. Maggie warns that one way or another, she's going to find out what's going on so she thinks it would be best for her to hear it from him. Xander responds that he doesn't think he can do it.

Eric finishes playing with Holly on the playground and brings her back to Nicole to show her video of Holly. Nicole says they'll have to send it to Maggie. Holly then hugs Eric and says "I love you, daddy".

Brady argues that Eli is throwing his weight around, saying he didn't stab Victor but won't let him go. Eli brings up Kristen throwing Haley down stairs and stabbing Victor in the heart. Eli calls her a menace and asks Brady to think about what happens if Kristen finds Sarah. Eli asks Brady where she is but Brady says he has no idea. Eli questions who else Kristen would turn to for help. Brady says there is no one he can think of since Stefano is dead, Tony is gone, and Chad would never help her in this scenario so she doesn't have a lot of friends. Eli then remembers Kristen is friends with Lani.

Lani finishes a call with a doctor in Chicago and informs Kristen that Rex didn't show up for work this morning after going to a medical conference in Paris and not coming back.

Rex argues that Sarah only delayed the inevitable because now they will come looking for him. Rex says no one will blame her for what she's done but the longer she runs, the worse it will be. Sarah yells at him to shut up. Rex knows he's the last person she wanted to see but there has to be someone she trusts that can help her. Sarah asks who the hell she trusts when she's been lied to over and over again since the baby was born so she doesn't trust anyone. Rex asks what about Maggie.

Maggie tells Xander to get the hell out if he's not going to tell her the truth because he's wasting her time. Maggie adds that she will call Sarah the second he leaves. Xander says she can't do that. Maggie calls for the guard and says they are done here but Xander convinces her to sit down and says he will tell her everything. Maggie asks why Kristen stabbed Victor. Xander reveals that it's because Victor let Kristen believe that her baby was dead. Maggie asks if she thought the baby was still alive. Xander then confirms that Brady and Kristen's baby is alive.

Eric asks if Nicole told Holly to say that but she didn't. Nicole reminds Holly that her daddy is heaven. Holly says she knows but wants to call Eric her daddy down here which Nicole and Eric agree to as they kiss.

Eli looks at the security footage from the police station, showing Lani leaving with Kristen.

Kristen tells Lani that they know Sarah took the Titan jet to London so she must have taken a train to Paris to meet up with Rex. Lani thinks she's getting ahead of herself. Kristen asks why else Rex would be calling her, guessing it has to be because he knows Sarah and Rachel are in Paris.

Sarah questions Rex wanting her to call her mother and says that shows how ridiculously clueless he is. Sarah reminds Rex that Maggie is a drunk. Rex says she's still a good woman and they were very close. Sarah remarks that things change and things happen so people aren't close anymore. Rex doesn't understand what could've happened. Sarah tells him that her baby died. Rex asks what that has to do with her mother. Sarah then reveals to Rex that Maggie is the one who killed her.

Maggie asks Xander where Kristen's baby is if she's still alive. Xander responds that she's with Sarah. Xander then reveals to Maggie that it wasn't Brady and Kristen's baby that died that night, it was Sarah's.
