Ben asks Jake if he has a woman in his life. Jake asks why he wants to know. Ben figured it'd be good to get to know each other since they might be working together. Jake responds that there is nobody right now. Ben asks if that means there was somebody but Jake tells him to mind his own damn business so Ben says he will do that from now on. Jake says he didn't mean to bite his head off, it's just been awhile since he's talked about her. Ben says he doesn't have to now but Jake suggests maybe he should, joking that he already knows enough about Ben's girlfriend.

Victor wakes up in his hospital bed. Ciara tries to talk to him then decides to go find Kayla.

At the police station, Eli brings Lani the forensics report on the knife used to stab Victor and confirms it's clean. Lani mentions Brady saying he wiped it off. Eli says he doesn't know Brady that well but stabbing his own grandfather doesn't seem like something he would do. Lani points out that Victor fixed it so Brady and Kristen believed their child was dead. Eli thinks Kristen put him up to it because stabbing an old man seems more her style. Lani doesn't think Kristen was in on it because she saw her face when Brady confessed and she was shocked.

In the interrogation room, Brady tells Kristen that she cannot confess and she has to let him handle this. Kristen questions watching him go to prison for something she did. Brady says he loves her but she has a rap sheet so if she confesses to stabbing Victor, she will go to prison for maybe the rest of her life while he has a better chance of a shorter sentence and lesser charge. Kristen argues that she's the one who stabbed his grandfather so she questions why he would cover for her. Brady says it's because he loves her and Victor is a career criminal, so he blames himself.

Sarah can't believe she saw Rex at the cafe and worries that he could be calling the Salem police right now. Sarah notes that Rex doesn't know she's on the run but worries that he will talk to someone in Salem soon and find out the truth. Sarah wonders what to do.

Kate answers her call from Rex and asks what the occasion is since he never calls her. Rex responds that he was just talking about her and asks what he's missed in Salem. Kate says that would take a lot of roaming charges to tell him everything. Rex apologizes for being really busy. Kate asks if that's the best he can do. Kate thinks there are probably a few things to tell him that might interest him.

Ciara returns to Victor with Kayla, who checks that his blood pressure is a little high but the rest of his vitals are normal so she thinks he's a lucky man. Kayla encourages Victor not to try to talk and save his strength. Ciara asks if he will be alright. Kayla explains that he cleared a major hurdle by regaining consciousness but his heart was severely injured so he's facing an uphill battle. Ciara hates that Maggie is not here. Kayla says she has to do a full examination so she suggests Ciara go for a walk. Ciara would hate to leave Victor since he doesn't have anyone else. Kayla says she'll be here and promises to call her after the evaluation. Ciara hugs her and thanks her. Ciara tells Victor not to give Kayla to much trouble and she'll be right back. Ciara says she loves him so much and then exits.

Ben and Jake continue working on the motorcycle. Jake mentions that he's got him thinking about his ex now. Ben asks if that's a good thing. Jake admits he's been thinking about her for a little bit now and she's the kind of woman who gets in your system and stays there. Jake says it drove him nuts at first but he liked how tough and stubborn she was. Ben asks what broke them up.

Gabi goes to the DiMera Mansion and pours a drink as she thinks back to seeing Jake in the town square. Gabi tells herself that it couldn't have been Stefan as that's impossible.

Lani finishes a call with a nurse at the hospital then informs Eli about Abigail ingesting a hallucinogenic. Lani adds that she is okay now but still in the hospital. Lani tells Eli that Chad thinks that Gabi slipped something in to Abigail's champagne. Eli can't believe Gabi is still messing with Abigail. Eli gets a call and says he'll be right over. Eli tells Lani that Victor just regained consciousness and rushes out of the station.

Kristen asks how this could possibly be Brady's fault. Brady says it's his grandfather that made them believe their little girl was dead which drove Kristen over the edge to stab him. Kristen says that doesn't explain how it's his fault. Brady says he should've cut Victor out of his life years ago and protected Kristen and Rachel from him. Kristen argues that he didn't know he would do something like this. Brady argues that Victor doesn't give a damn about anyone's feelings but his own. Brady says he should've kept her away from him instead of bringing her in to that house. Kristen refuses to let Brady go to prison for something she did. Kristen informs Brady that Nicole came to her room and asked if she stabbed Victor. Brady tells her that Eric asked him the same thing but he told him that she didn't know anything until after he stabbed him. Kristen says this is getting so complicated and says she didn't tell Nicole but she wanted to because living with this is killing her. Kristen can't stand the fact of him going to prison for something he didn't do. Kristen decides she's going to find Rafe to tell the truth. Brady stops her and warns that if she does that, she will never see her daughter again.

Sarah paces and says she shouldn't be staying in Abigail's apartment since it's too easy to track them but if she moves somewhere else, she'd have to pay rent or a hotel bill and could be tracked that way too. Sarah complains about running into Rex while Rachel wakes up crying. Sarah then can't find her blanket and realizes she left it at the cafe.

Kate informs Rex about Hattie leaving Roman without a waitress while Roman hinted that he wants her to help out but she'll never do that again. Rex questions that being the news he was supposed to find so interesting. Kate says what's interesting is that she's applied for a job at the mayor's office and is waiting to hear from Abe. Rex asks if things are relatively quiet in Salem then. Kate says she's completely switching careers and thinks politics will be a perfect fit. Rex asks if there's anything aside from that. Kate then reveals to him that Brady stabbed Victor in the heart, confessed to it, and is now in jail. Rex is shocked and questions if Victor died. Kate says of course not. Rex asks why would Brady do that. Kate explains that Victor apparently knew that Kristen and Brady's baby was still alive and kept that from them. Rex questions Kristen having a baby with Brady and if that baby didn't die, where is it. Kate then reveals the baby is with Sarah because everyone thought the baby was Sarah's but it turns out, the baby belonged to Brady and Kristen, leaving Rex completely shocked.

Jake tells Ben that he and his ex broke up because life goes on and people change. Ben brings up Jake looking so much like his old boss so he asks where he's from. Jake says it's a long story. Ciara then shows up and is amazed at seeing Jake for the first time.

Lani goes to the DiMera Mansion and tells Gabi that she needs to ask her some questions about Abigail being drugged. Gabi tells her that she's wasting her time because she already told Chad and Rafe that she had nothing to do with it. Gabi argues that anyone could've drugged her but Lani reveals that the drug used is not even on the market yet and is only able to be accessed by the company that manufactured it which is DiMera Enterprises.

Kristen tells Brady that even if she keeps her mouth shut, that doesn't mean they will find Rachel. Brady assures that they will and she need her mother. Kristen argues that she will need him too. Brady reminds her that the district attorney is still furious about Haley Chen's death was ruled an accident so if she pleads guilty to stabbing Victor, she could be put away for the rest of her life and she'd never be able to raise Rachel. Kristen wishes she thought about that before trying to kill Victor. Brady tells her that he's the only one that knows and no one is going to hear it from him so it will never come out. Kristen brings up if Victor survives.

Kayla tells Victor that he's stable and tells him to take it easy as he was hurt badly and is weak so he can't be giving orders yet. Eli arrives and asks if he can question Victor. Kayla points out that he's really not up to being interrogated. Eli says he'll make it fast. Kayla asks Victor if he's up to it and he nods. Kayla gives Eli five minutes and exits the room.

Rex questions how Sarah could end up with Brady and Kristen's baby. Kate explains that Victor and Xander pulled off a baby switch so Sarah ended up with a baby while Brady and Kristen were told their baby was dead. Rex realizes that means Eric and Sarah's baby died and says Eric must be so devastated. Kate notes that Sarah was as well since she had been mothering that little girl for months and she wasn't even able to face giving her up so she's taken off with Brady and Kristen's baby and no one knows where they are. Sarah then returns to the cafe with Rachel.

Ben introduces Ciara to Jake. Ciara talks about Jake looking exactly like Stefan and she can't believe it. Ciara didn't believe everyone had a double until right now. Ciara can't imagine what Gabi would do if she saw him.

Lani points out that Gabi works for DiMera so she has access. Gabi argues that Abigail does too. Lani says the drug was slipped in to a glass of champagne that Abigail was drinking at Julie's Place and Chad said Gabi was there with them which gives her means, motive, and opportunity. Lani adds that the D.A. might go easy on her if she just admits she did it.

Eli tells Victor that he's glad he pulled through. Eli asks if he remembers what happened to him. Victor nods so Eli asks if he can tell him about it. Victor tries to speak but Kayla notes that he's terribly weak so she suggests Eli come back another time for this. Eli says he has one more question and asks if Victor remembers who stabbed him. Victor nods so Eli asks if it was Brady.

Brady asks if Kristen knows how Victor is doing. Kristen says the nurses staff hasn't been free with the details but he survived surgery and is now in critical condition. Brady says if he pulls through, he guesses he could find a way to force Victor to keep his mouth shut by reminding him that what he did to them was illegal. Kristen doesn't think Victor will pass up the chance to ruin her life. Brady feels he has to find the way to get through to him. Kristen says Victor doesn't want him to go to prison so he'll talk as soon as he opens his eyes. Brady agrees that there's no way to control him. Kristen points out that she could go to the hospital and finish him off.

Rex tells Kate that he has to go and they'll talk later so he hangs up. Sarah comments on Rex still being there. Rex says he got a phone call then asks what Sarah is doing back. Sarah tells him that she just lost Mickie's blanket. Rex finds it underneath the table but holds onto it. Sarah tells him to give her daughter's blanket back. Rex then points out that is not her daughter.

Lani brings up that Gabi's done this to Abigail before while Gabi argues that Abigail has framed her before. Gabi asks if maybe Abigail's multiple personalities are back and suggests asking Chad and Abigail about them. Gabi brings up Chad talking to the walls last week and says they have nothing on her. Lani assures they will make the case. Gabi tells her to get out of her house so Lani exits.

Jake says he doesn't know any Gabi. Ciara explains that she was married to Stefan and then he was killed after being shot by a cop. Ben points out that it was an accident. Jake questions how a cop shot him by accident. Ciara clarifies that he jumped in between his mother and the bullet. Ciara continues that Gabi had to decide to donate his organs after his death. Jake jokes that it doesn't sound like you can come back from that.

Brady tells Kristen that she can't make another attempt on Victor's life or the charges against him will go from attempted murder to murder one. Kristen admits she's not thinking. Brady wants her to promise to stay away from Victor so she does. Kristen doesn't think she can let Brady take the fall for what she did. Brady reminds her that she'd be doing it for their daughter, who will need her mom. Kristen says she needs her and cries that this shouldn't have happened this way as they should be happy raising their girl. Brady doesn't think blissful happiness was ever in the cards for them. Brady says he should've realized that as soon as she got pregnant because he knew how much Victor hated her and that he would never change. Brady feels he put Kristen in this position and ruined her life. Kristen insists that he didn't as she hugs him.

Eli asks Victor again if Brady stabbed him. Victor tries to answer but his monitors start to beep louder. Eli apologizes for upsetting him. Kayla tells Victor to try to relax as she takes Eli out of the room. Victor then says Kristen's name.

Ben asks Ciara what made her even show up since he thought she was staying with Victor. Ciara explains that Kayla asked her to leave so she could examine him. Ciara informs him that Victor actually woke up so she's so relieved. Ben asks if that means he can see her tonight. Ciara doesn't know but she's sure Victor will fight through. Ben suggests celebrating that and his new job if he's got it. Jake confirms Ben's doing a great job so he can stick around. Ben thanks him. Jake asks him to hold down the place while he goes to run a few errands. Jake tells Ciara it was nice to meet her and comments that Ben is crazy about her. Jake then exits the garage.

Eli calls Lani to ask how it went with Gabi. Lani tells him that Gabi denied everything and knows they have nothing to charge her with but she's not giving up. Eli points out that Gabi was definitely in the room when Abigail got drugged. Lani asks how it went with Victor. Eli says he was too weak to talk but he nodded about knowing who stabbed him. Eli adds that he's going to stick around for a bit and see how he feels later. Lani hopes he has some luck since Brady's arraignment is today. Eli knows the victim's statement could change everything for him.

Kristen tells Brady that she's going to figure this out. She's not going to let him go to jail and she's going to find their baby so they can raise her together. Kristen encourages that it's going to happen and they will be the family she has always dreamed about. Brady agrees that everything will be okay and they can't stop believing that as they kiss.

Sarah asks Rex what he's talking about and claims she is her daughter. Rex reveals that he just got off the phone with Kate, who told him everything so he knows what Xander and Victor did and that Sarah is on the run with Brady and Kristen's child. Sarah tries to deny it and argues that Kate lies all the time. Rex asks why she would lie about this. Sarah says Kate has been waiting for an opportunity to punish her and now is trying to ruin her life. Rex argues that Kate always understood why their relationship didn't work out. Sarah decides Rex is lying then and making up this lie because he's angry at her. Sarah brings up Rex cheating on her. Rex stops her and says she's better than this. Sarah questions him judging her when she's trying to protect her baby. Rex tells her to do the right thing. Rex understands she's in a lot of pain but calls her a good person and says this is not her. Rex knows when that she calms down, she will do the right thing and take the child back to her actual parents. Sarah says not in a million years. Rex asks her to think about the baby. Sarah says she is all she thinks about. Rex brings up how a life on the run will affect her. Sarah says she'll be fine as long as she has her mother and is loved. Rex brings up that Sarah will be found any time she tries to apply for a job or enroll the baby in school. Sarah argues that it's better than being raised by Kristen DiMera. Rex says it's not her call. Sarah cries that she got her through cancer and took care of her every minute of her life. Sarah cries that she loves her and is not just going to give her up. Rex apologizes and says she leaves him no choice but to call the police.

Lani joins Kristen in the interrogation room and remarks that things were a lot easier when they were in the convent. Lani says Brady asked her to check on her while he's in his arraignment. Kristen assures she hasn't had a mental breakdown yet considering her child's been kidnapped and the love of her life is facing prison. Lani notes that it's possible Brady won't even be charged because Victor has to press charges and he's regained consciousness which shocks Kristen.

Kayla brings Eli back to Victor's room because Victor asked to talk to him. Eli says he doesn't want to pressure him but he just needs him to confirm that it was Brady who stabbed him, because he has already confessed. Victor shakes his head so Eli asks if he's saying it wasn't Brady which Victor confirms. Eli asks who stabbed him then. Victor reveals it was Kristen. Eli asks him if he is saying that Kristen DiMera stabbed him.

Ciara comments on the motorcycle that Ben and Jake were fixing. Ben suggests maybe she should apply for a job her too. Ciara jokes that they wouldn't get much work done. Ben agrees he'd be distracted as they kiss. Ciara still can't believe how much Jake looks like Stefan. Ciara says she hates Gabi for what she did to Julie but feels someone should warn her in case she runs in to him on the street.

Gabi walks outside the park and calls Rafe, leaving a message to call her back and asks if it was his idea to send Lani after her after she said she didn't drug Abigail. Gabi remarks that Lani is the reason she will never see Stefan again. Gabi then hangs up and turns around as Jake comes around the corner, leaving her stunned.
