At the hospital, Sonny calls Will and leaves a message that he's at the hospital with Victor. Eli and Lani arrive. Lani tells him that they are so sorry about Victor. Eli informs Sonny that they need to ask him a few questions.

At the police station, Brady turns to Kristen and tells her that Victor has been stabbed. Brady notes that she doesn't seem very surprised to hear that. Kristen responds that the old man got what he deserved. Brady guesses that Kristen stabbed his grandfather.

Chad and Abigail go home to the DiMera Mansion. Chad makes a call to Li about Gabi planning to sue for wrongful termination but he hangs up. Abigail turns around and drops her drink as she imagines Chad as Ben being the necktie killer. Chad then asks if she's okay.

Gabi is at Stefan's grave and wishes he was there to help ruin Chad and Abigail with her. Gabi says she's doing it for the both of them and when she's done, Chad and Abigail will get what they deserve. Gabi cries that he's not here so she's all alone and there's nothing she can do to bring him back but she can make him proud.

Ben goes to the auto shop garage to ask for a job but the man working there turns out to look exactly like Stefan DiMera. Ben says he doesn't believe it. The man asks if he's okay and remarks that he looks like he's seen a ghost. Ben asks if it's Stefan but he introduces himself as Jake and asks who Stefan is. Ben informs him that Stefan was his old boss and he looks exactly like him.

Abigail imagines Chad as Ben and tells him to stay away from her as she will not let him hurt her again. Chad tries to get through to her but she screams for Chad while thinking she's telling Ben to stay away from her.

Sonny tells Eli and Lani about finding Victor bleeding in the living room at home. Sonny mentions seeing the knife on the floor covered in blood and asks if they found it. Lani says they haven't been to the crime scene yet. Lani asks if he has any idea who might have done this. Sonny notes that Victor has a lot of enemies but no one jumps out at him, except...

Brady asks Kristen if she did this since she knew Victor was behind the baby switch. Brady mentions going to the Salem Inn and she was not there. Kristen cries that she was so angry. Brady asks if she went to the Kiriakis Mansion. Kristen then breaks down and admits she stabbed Victor. Brady asks her what happened. Kristen swears that she didn't plan any of it. Brady believes her but still needs her to tell him everything. Kristen admits she didn't just run in to Xander at the Salem Inn as she went to his room to confront him about switching the babies and he mentioned not just protecting Sarah, but Maggie too so that she wouldn't know she killed her own grandchild. Kristen explains that she figured out Victor was the only one who loved Maggie enough to do that and she doesn't even remember leaving the Inn but the next thing she knew, she was at the mansion ripping in to Victor for being so cruel. Kristen says the next thing she knew, she grabbed a knife off the table and that Victor kept telling her she wouldn't do it but she did do it. Kristen declares that she stabbed him in the chest where his heart should be and then she just dropped the knife and left. Kristen cries that she's going to prison for life and will never see her baby again. Brady encourages her that she's going to be alright because he's going to take care of everything as he hugs her.

Eli asks if Sonny has a suspect in mind. Sonny brings up hearing Orpheus was on the loose and he hated Victor so there is bad blood between them. Eli says they will look into it and tells Sonny to call if he remembers anything. Lani thanks Sonny for his help and says they will head to the crime scene. Sonny tells them they have to find out who did this as they exit the hospital. Ciara comes out of Victor's room with tears in her eyes so Sonny asks her what happened.

Jake assures Ben that he is not Stefan. Ben apologizes for staring but says the resemblance is crazy. Jake comments on people having doubles and guesses this Stefan is his double out there.

Gabi walks through the town square and goes back to the Gabi Chic store window. Will finds her and notes that she wasn't answering her phone as he was looking for her. Will mentions hearing that she got fired. Gabi confirms to him that she's been locked out of her own store since DiMera owns everything in it. Will asks what happened. Gabi tells him that Abigail and Chad won so she's out now. Will says he's sorry. Gabi responds that Chad and Abigail think they will get away with this but she's not going to let them. Gabi storms off so Will follows after her asking what she did.

Abigail freaks out and pushes Chad away as if he's Ben but then snaps out of it. Chad questions what the hell she's doing. Abigail talks about Ben being there but Chad assures her that he wasn't. Abigail screams that Ben was trying to strangle her with his tie but Chad swears that he wasn't there. Abigail cries that she doesn't know what's happening to her. Chad sits with Abigail and says he thinks they need to go to the hospital and have Kayla check her out. Abigail asks if he means Marlena because she's losing it. Chad says that's not it but he thinks something is going on. Abigail swears she saw Ben. Chad calls it a hallucination so he thinks they need to go to the hospital to check it out. Chad tells her they are in this together as Abigail agrees to go so they exit the mansion.

Will stops Gabi in the town square and says if she did something that could get her in trouble, she needs to tell him right now. Gabi says she's just not going down without a fight. Will reminds her what revenge got her in the past. Gabi insists that she's going to get revenge but she will do it under law. Gabi mentions suing DiMera for wrongful termination. Will understands how much Gabi Chic means to her but suggests it's a sign that it's time to move on and find something new. Gabi argues that it's Stefan's legacy and he wanted her to be a part of that. Will states that Stefan is dead. Gabi argues that she knows that in her head but not her heart. Gabi complains that her husband was taken from her just like that. Gabi knows he's not here anymore but sometimes it feels like he is and mentions thinking she saw him in the reflection of her store window which Will calls impossible.

Jake asks Ben what he can do for him. Ben says he just needs a few parts to rebuild his girlfriend's motorcycle and he also wanted to ask about the mechanic job posted online. Jake tells him that he can help him with the parts but the job position has already been filled, by him.

Sonny asks Ciara if Victor took a turn for the worse. Ciara tells him that Kayla just took him in to surgery and she's so worried. Sonny hugs her as she asks who would do this to him. Sonny doesn't know but assures that they will find out and make them pay.

Kristen remains alone in the interrogation room, telling herself that if Brady can't fix this, it's over and they'll never be a family with Rachel.

Brady sneaks in to the living room of the Kiriakis Mansion and uses a cloth to pick up the bloody knife from the floor. Brady plans to wipe the fingerprints from the knife when Eli and Lani arrive, questioning what is going on here.

Jake apologizes to Ben for the confusion and says they just haven't taken the ad down yet for the job. Ben tells him the parts he needs for Ciara's motorcycle. Jake notes that it takes a lot of skills and patience to keep a classic like that running. Ben says he's happy to do it for his girlfriend and mentions that it's her father's bike so it means a lot to her. Jake tells him he'll be in touch. Ben repeats that Jake's resemblance to Stefan really is crazy. Ben goes to leave but Jake tells him to wait.

Gabi tells Will that she knows what she saw. Gabi knows Stefan died and she made the monumental mistake of giving Julie his heart. Gabi asks what if Stefano or Dr. Rolf intervened during the surgery like he did with Will, Vivian, and EJ. Will reminds her that Dr. Rolf told her the serum wouldn't work on Stefan. Gabi argues that with everything happening lately like downloading Stefano onto a microchip and turning Hope into a psychotic princess, she's having a hard time believing Rolf. Will asks if she's saying Dr. Rolf might have saved Stefan and is just keeping him hidden somewhere. Gabi argues that Rolf had half of Salem in Nashville and that maybe he made a new serum that would work on Stefan so the heart in Julie could not be Stefan's. Will doesn't think that's plausible. Gabi says everything in Stefano's life was about his legacy including controlling his children. Gabi asks if Will is having a hard time believing that Stefano has a secret plan and notes that if Stefan is out there, Dr. Rolf will never tell her.

Jake suggests that maybe Ben can give him a hand with the job. Ben asks if the owner would be willing to take on someone else. Jake explains that when they hired him, they said they were thinking about hiring another mechanic. Jake says there's no promises but he'll talk to them and see what they say. Jake tells Ben that he would be his boss if he's okay with that. Ben thanks him and says that's really nice of him. Ben then questions why he's willing to stick his neck out for him if he doesn't even know him. Jake asks if there's any reason he shouldn't.

Ciara asks Sonny if Eli and Lani have any leads. Sonny says no but he told them everything he knows so they are heading to the house to get the knife dusted for prints. Ciara hopes that will lead them to whoever did this. Ciara prays for Victor to be okay as she and Sonny hug. Chad and Abigail arrive at the hospital. Chad goes to check with a nurse while Abigail turns around to see Sonny and Ciara hugging but she imagines it as Ben strangling her. Abigail yells for him to to stop and get his hands off her.

Lana and Eli question Brady. Brady says he knows it looks bad but he can explain. Eli questions if he stabbed Victor. Brady tells them that Sonny called him and told him what happened so he raced over and found the knife just now. Eli questions how he got past the cops. Brady says he came in through the back and didn't even see them. Lani says they were waiting before entering the crime scene and notes that Brady shouldn't have touched the knife. Brady apologizes and says he wasn't thinking as he hands the knife to Lani. Eli questions if he still lives here. Brady says he doesn't technically but he goes in and out all the time. Lani asks if Brady had a falling out with Victor. Brady says they have falling outs all the time but he certainly didn't attack him. Brady assures that he did not do this. Eli decides they will have to discuss this at the police station.

Will and Gabi sit together in the town square. Gabi questions Will not believing that Stefan could be alive after everything he's been through and seen. Will confirms that he can't. Gabi asks why not since Stefan was young and fit. Will says from what he understands, it wasn't his body but his brain. Gabi remembers that Stefan was braindead and that Dr. Rolf told her that he could never bring him back. Gabi complains that it's very unfair because Sonny got Will back, Jennifer got Jack back, and Chad even got Abigail after she faked her own death a couple years ago. Gabi asks if she deserves a happy ending too.

Jake asks Ben if he shouldn't speak to the owner. Ben says he would appreciate it if he would but he's just surprised since he doesn't know anything about him. Jake says all he needs to know is that he knows his way around an engine. Ben brings up that his past is complicated and has been a problem with other potential employers so he just wants to be transparent. Jake says he doesn't care about his past since he has more work than he can handle while Ben seems qualified for the job. Jake asks if Ben wants a shot or not.

Abigail yells at Sonny to get away from Ciara as if he is Ben. They question what is going on. Abigail claims she's saving Ciara from Ben. Chad comes back and stops Abigail, telling her that it's not Ben. Abigail insists that he was right there. Sonny asks if everything is okay. Chad says they are going to figure it out and that Abigail just needs to rest as he takes her away.

Eli and Lani bring Brady to the police station. Brady calls this ridiculous and argues that he shouldn't be here because he's innocent. Kristen comes out of the interrogation room and asks what's going on. Lani asks what she's doing there. Kristen says she's waiting on news about her missing baby. Kristen questions why they brought Brady in. Brady tells her that Victor was stabbed and they found him with the knife so they are coming up with wrong conclusions. Kristen insists that Brady would not stab Victor. Eli questions how she knows that.

Ben tells Jake that he wants a job so Jake agrees to ask and says he has a good feeling about him. Ben thanks him as Jake says he'll be in touch and goes back to work so Ben exits.

Will tells Gabi that everybody deserves a happy ending so he wishes she got hers with Stefan. Gabi knows she should be grateful for having Will, Arianna, and Sonny. Will understands that she wanted a family with her husband. Gabi cries that everyone is trying to wipe Stefan away like he never existed and she's just trying to hang on. Will is sorry that she's missing him so much and says if she's convinced that she saw him, maybe there's a logical explanation. Will admits he wasn't Stefan's biggest fan but he knows he loved her and made her feel safe. Will suggests that seeing Stefan is like a coping mechanism for Gabi like a guardian angel. Will tells her that she doesn't have to rely on a ghost as long as he's here. Will then hugs Gabi as she cries.

Chad goes back to Sonny and Ciara to apologize and says Abigail is in with the nurse now. Sonny asks what's going on with her. Chad says he doesn't know and explains that they were at home for the night when Abigail started seeing Ben and freaked out, having hallucinations and flashbacks to when Ben terrorized her. Ciara points out that Ben changed and isn't like that anymore. Sonny asks why Abigail is seeing Ben all of a sudden and if she's having a relapse. Chad doesn't know as he thought everything was fine after her treatment for D.I.D. since there's been no signs of trouble. Ciara asks if it just came out of nowhere. Chad wishes he knew what was causing it but he doesn't. Sonny tells him he's sorry and if there's anything he needs. Chad asks what they are doing here. Ciara and Sonny inform Chad that Victor was stabbed.

Kristen questions Eli and Lani asking how she knows Brady didn't stab his grandfather. Brady tells her not to get involved but she says she already is. Kristen argues that Brady is kind, loving, and gentle. Kristen declares that Brady would never hurt Victor but Brady claims that he did. Brady announces that he is confessing to stabbing his grandfather.

Ben goes to the hospital to join Ciara. She hugs him and says she's so happy he's there. Ben asks about Victor. Ciara tells him that he's in surgery now and cries that she's so scared. Ben tells her it's okay as he hugs her.

Chad sits with Abigail in her hospital room and tells her about Kayla being in surgery with Victor then the doctor in charge should be in soon. Abigail questions what is happening to her. Chad says he doesn't know but they are going to find out. Abigail says she can't go through this again.

Ciara tells Ben about Abigail hallucinating seeing him and screaming at Sonny. Ben notes that it wouldn't be the first time. Ciara guesses she's having a relapse but she hopes she is okay. Ben responds that Abigail isn't the only one seeing things tonight. Ciara asks what he means. Ben tells her to brace herself for this one.

Gabi goes back to the Gabi Chic store window and wishes her guardian angel would come back. Gabi walks away and then Jake walks by the Gabi Chic store.

Eli questions if Brady is admitting to stabbing Victor. Kristen asks him not to do this but Brady claims it's what happened. Brady explains Victor being behind the baby switch and letting he and Kristen believe their baby girl was dead for almost a year. Eli asks him to talk them through it. Brady claims they had a horrible fight and in the heat of the moment, he stabbed him. Kristen says that's not true but Brady insists that it is. Brady wants Kristen to focus on their little girl and that she's there when Rachel is found which she promises to do. Eli and Lani then escort Brady out of the station while Kristen cries.
