Sarah is in the living room of the Kiriakis Mansion with Mickie. Eric joins her and they talk about her being cancer free. Sarah guesses there is no news on Marlena which Eric confirms. Sarah encourages that John will find her and then he can tell her the good news. Eric assures that the worst is over as Mickie is home and nothing will ever take her away from them. Xander walks in and says for once, he and Eric agree on something.

Nicole sits at her and Eric's apartment going back over the test results she had done. Abe arrives. Nicole tells him that Eric's not home as he and Sarah took Mackenzie home from the hospital. Abe asks about Holly. Nicole says she is sound asleep. Abe notes that Nicole is still reading the DNA test results and tells her they are not going to change to say that Mackenzie's birth parents are Brady and Kristen. Nicole tells him that she can't believe it because Xander would do anything to keep Sarah from knowing that her baby died and if he forced Dr. Raynor to switch the babies then he could force a lab tech to fake the test results. Abe says the only thing that could prove her theory is if Dr. Raynor admits it. Nicole responds that she has no idea where she is. Abe reveals that he came by because he does.

Abigail and Anna arrive at a gate outside of town. Anna says this is where Tony's phone has tracked to. Abigail stops and warns that they should be careful. Anna declares that she's not afraid of Steve or Stefano. Abigail says they have to have a plan but a guard comes out and grabs them, warning that they aren't going anywhere near the place.

Chad asks what Tony and Kristen were talking about. Kristen claims they were talking about how catching Marlena's flowers isn't the kind of luck she wants. Chad talks about Stefano restoring the family to it's former glory. Tony calls Stefano dangerous and unpredictable. Kristen slaps Chad and tells him that the Phoenix has him under his spell. Chad grabs Kristen by the throat and warns that was a big mistake as he pulls his gun on her. Chad calls Kristen the one that is dangerous and unpredictable and says the Phoenix can't take that risk. Brady then bursts in with a gun on Chad, asking if he's out of his mind. Tony explains that Stefano reprogrammed him. Kristen adds that Chad lied to get them there and is just a puppet now. Brady points out that Stefano doesn't like it when his kids shoot his other kids. Chad holds Kristen at gunpoint and orders Brady to put his gun down or he will kill Kristen.

Stefano kisses Marlena onto the bed as John then walks in and orders him to get his hands off his wife. Stefano responds that she belongs to him now. John grabs him and they begin to fight.

Anna argues with the guard that they are members of the DiMera family but he tells them they are staying right here.

Kristen warns Brady that Chad will kill her. Brady tells him to take it easy and not hurt her. Brady drops his gun so Chad lets Kristen go to him then grabs Brady's gun. Chad holds both guns now on Tony and Kristen and Brady. Tony tells Chad that Stefano won't want to see this as he wants them all to be a family again. Tony warns Chad that pulling the trigger means he will no longer be Stefano's favorite son.

John and Stefano continue to fight as Marlena watches in terror. They punch each other and then John pulls his gun out but Marlena hits John in the back of the head, knocking him out.

Xander says he made himself scarce while Eric and Sarah got Mackenzie settled in but they've done that so he's sure Nicole is waiting for Eric at home. Eric questions if he's telling him to leave. Xander says that's exactly what he's doing.

Nicole questions Abe knowing where Dr. Raynor is. Abe says he still has contacts from his time as police commissioner and they tracked her to a new address in New York City. Nicole thanks him. Abe warns her to treat her carefully this time. Nicole says Xander was breathing down her neck before. Abe notes that Dr. Raynor has an unblemished record as a doctor. Nicole guesses Xander had something on her. Nicole suggests she can get her to tell the truth because if there's a chance that Brady's baby is still alive, no matter how much she hates Kristen, they both deserve to know.

Chad says that he is the only one in the family that supports their father's plan. Chad warns Kristen about telling Brady where they were. Brady clarifies that she didn't tell him anything. Chad questions how he found where they were then and who else knows.

Stefano ties John up as he regains consciousness. Stefano tells John that Marlena did this on her own free will. John guesses Dr. Rolf did the same job on her then. Stefano assures that Marlena is still her own woman. Marlena calls John her past and Stefano her future, declaring that nothing will ever change that.

Sarah asks Xander if that's really necessary. Xander says he would like Eric to leave and he's sure Eric would like to get back to Nicole. Xander asks when Eric and Nicole will get married and what they are waiting for. Eric responds that he's not discussing Nicole with him and then exits.

Abe warns Nicole that she's walking in to a very dangerous situation if Xander finds out. Nicole insists that she can handle him. Abe offers to go with her but Nicole says he's needed her and has already done so much for her. Abe asks how she would break it to Eric if she's right that the baby he loves was really his brother's child.

Brady informs Chad that he didn't come alone as Stefano's hideout is not a secret anymore. Brady adds that Stefano's grand plans are about to blow up in his face. Chad calls that reason for him to take matters into his own hands. Chad argues that Kristen wanted this to happen and is a traitor to the family. Tony stops him and says that was him so Chad declares he will kill all of them, starting with Kristen. Brady goes to rush Chad as he fires a shot..

Stefano, Marlena, and John hear the gunshot. Stefano worries that something has gone wrong while John calls out for Brady. Stefano decides he has to go find out what happened but not before finishing off John. Marlena tells Stefano that he should go but Stefano says not while John is still breathing. Marlena responds that he won't be for long as she picks up his gun. John questions what he has done to her. Stefano asks if she's sure. Marlena repeats that John is her past and Stefano is her future. Stefano says he won't be gone long and exits the room.

Kristen checks on Brady as he's been shot by Chad.

Sarah looks through Mackenzie's baby book and mentions writing down everything until she got sick. Xander suggests she can start again tonight. Sarah remarks that Xander acted like a jackass with Eric tonight. Xander apologizes but says he didn't want Eric hanging around and ruining their night. Sarah responds that the only one that ruined anything was Xander. Sarah questions why he's pushing Eric to propose to Nicole when it's none of their business. Xander admits it may have been a bit much. Sarah tells him it doesn't matter when they get married and assures that Nicole is the only woman for Eric just like Xander is the only man for her as she then kisses him.

Nicole tells Abe that she's thought about telling Eric a million times that Mackenzie isn't his daughter but then she thought about just dropping it altogether since Brady and Kristen are starting to heal while she and Eric are getting so close again but she can't drop it because she keeps remembering how she felt when Chloe was raising her child. Nicole doesn't think she will have peace of mind until she knows the truth and she's hoping the DNA test is the truth because she doesn't want to tell Eric about any of this. Eric then comes home and questions telling him about what.

The guard tells Anna and Abigail that he has a list of everyone allowed inside. Abigail asks what they can do if they can't go inside. He agrees to ask Mr. DiMera if they can go in but informs them that they are too late for the wedding because it already happened.

John pleads with Marlena not to shoot him. Marlena says she doesn't have a choice and claims she has to purge him from her body and soul.

Xander and Sarah kiss until Mickie wakes up. They agree to keep her in their room tonight. Sarah suggests they start planning their wedding. Xander thought she didn't want to start until they knew if Maggie could be there. Sarah says Maggie refused the plea deal so it will be years before she's released so she will have to go on with her life even if it hurts to do it without her mom. Sarah wants to seize the moment before anything can ruin it. Xander assures that nothing will ruin it as they are finally home free.

Nicole tells Abe that she's sorry for promising not to tell Eric as they don't keep secrets from each other. Eric asks what they are talking about. Nicole claims that Abe came over because her brother Brandon is going through a rough time right now and doesn't want people to find out but she knows Eric won't say anything. Eric says he's sorry to hear. Nicole asks about Mackenzie. Eric says she's great and sleeping peacefully. Abe gets a call and says he'll be right there. Abe informs them that Kate called the police as Anna DiMera may have located Stefano's hideout. Eric asks if that means the police know where Stefano is. Abe says apparently Anna asks Kate to call but she didn't share the information. Abe decides he will go see what he can find out and call when he has any information. Eric thanks him. Abe assures he will not rest until they get Marlena home safe as he then exits.

John tells Marlena that he loves her so much and that she doesn't have to kill him just because Stefano wants her to. John urges her to think about their kids and grandkids. John tells her that Brady loves her so much that he came here with him and now he's afraid that Brady was on the wrong end of that gunshot they heard. John argues that this is not Marlena. John shouts that she's a doctor who saves lives instead of hurting people. John cries that they need Marlena to help them.

Brady tells Kristen it went in and out while Kristen worries that he's bleeding. Stefano enters and says he heard gunfire. Stefano sees that John did not come alone but he's under control. Stefano notes that Chad has taken charge here. Kristen argues that Chad shot the man she loves. Chad argues that Brady barged in making threats against their family. Kristen explains that Chad tried to shoot her but Brady took the bullet or else she'd be dead by now. Chad tells Stefano that Kristen sold them out. Brady denies that. Tony says Stefano wanted them to come together as a family. Stefano decides he will handle La Familia for now. Kristen argues that Stefano marrying Marlena makes Brady part of the family so she would want him to have medical attention. Stefano tells Kristen there is a first aid kit in the parlor that she can use and then take him upstairs. Stefano orders Chad not to let them get away. Brady questions what his plan is for he and John. Stefano says they shall see.

Marlena tells John that Brady is his son, not hers. John argues that he knows what she's going through as he spent years as Stefano's pawn but Marlena saved him because her love was always stronger than Stefano's hatred. Marlena argues that Stefano is the king and she's the queen while John is just her past. John talks about Stefano trying over and over to take her away from him and her family but he never won because their love was too strong for him. John insists they can beat him again. John tells her to just look in his eyes and see how much he loves her then she will go back and remember. John tells her to come back to him while she holds the gun on him.

Nicole tells Eric that hopefully the police will find Marlena and this will all be over. Eric says it would be nice to stop worrying. Eric adds that he's worried about her too and asks if she opened those test results yet. Nicole swears that she's healthy and fine as she kisses him. Eric doesn't know what he'd do if anything happened to her as he hugs her. Eric suggests they go to Julie's Place to get dinner. Nicole says she just found out she has to go to New York. Eric questions how long she's going to be gone. Nicole calls it an emergency business trip but hopefully she'll be back tomorrow and she'll pick up dinner on the way home. Nicole asks Eric to watch Holly while she's gone. Eric says he just doesn't know what's going to happen with Marlena and asks why Brady or Kristen can't go on the trip. Nicole says she has to take care of it herself because this project is her baby.

Kristen cleans Brady's wound while Chad watches them with his gun. Kristen argues that Brady still needs a doctor. Chad tells her to forget about that. Brady asks if Kristen knew they were coming here. Kristen explains that she honestly thought it was a family meeting but Chad dragged them here for this ridiculous wedding. Brady questions if Marlena actually went through with the ceremony. Kristen blames Dr. Rolf's mind control. Brady tells Chad that he needs to make sure that John is okay. Chad responds that he's sure he's not and Stefano will make sure of that.

John asks Marlena to put the gun down. Marlena says she promised Stefano. John argues that she hates Stefano. John talks about Stefano always having to have Marlena under a spell and that everything was a lie. John cries that he never signed any divorce papers so they are still married. Marlena responds that she's married to Stefano as she flashes back to their vows. John reminds her of their vows which triggers a flashback for Marlena and she starts to cry.

Tony asks what Stefano has done to John. Stefano informs him that Marlena is in the process of making short work of him now. Tony argues that he can't force her to do something like that. Stefano responds that she volunteered. Tony says if he was truly sure of her love for him, he wouldn't have to get John out of the way. Tony adds that part of Marlena will always love John but if she goes through this, she'll never be able to live with herself again.

The guard tells Anna and Abigail that they are not being let in. Abigail asks if they can see the guest list. When he turns his back, Anna removes her high heels and uses one to knock him out which shocks Abigail. They then go through the gate.

Xander and Sarah start wedding planning. Sarah mentions going back to work in a few weeks while Xander has a big meeting next weekend. Sarah guesses they are looking at next month then. Xander then suggests tomorrow. Sarah realizes they need to get a marriage license. They decide it sounds good to them and they kiss.

Nicole packs her bag and tells Eric that she has a seat on the last flight out to New York. She thanks him for watching Holly. Eric says they are family and nothing will change that. They say I love you as they hug.

Kristen tries to go after Chad but Brady tells her not to. Chad decides he'll go check how John is doing and finish the job himself so he exits the room and locks the door. Abigail then arrives and tells Chad that she's been looking for him.

Stefano tells Tony that he's not interested in his opinions. Tony responds that he can't go through with this as someone's got to stop this insanity. Stefano pulls his gun on Tony and warns that with one more step, he's a dead man.

Marlena puts the gun down and breaks down crying at John's side. John hugs her and tells her it's okay.

Tony tells Stefano that he heard what he said to Chad but he wouldn't shoot his own son if he's really Stefano. Stefano says he's left him no choice. Anna then appears and yells for Stefano not to hurt him as she raises her high heel and takes out Stefano with it.
