Kayla catches Hope trying to leave the hospital and tells her that she has not been discharged as she's not well enough to leave. Hope responds that she doesn't care because John and Marlena need her help.

Abigail tells Anna that she knows Chad's main priority will be to protect their children. Anna hopes she's right but still doesn't like it. Anna sends a text message to Tony, saying the family business is not more important than their marriage so she wants him to come back now. Anna tells Abigail that their family business isn't including them so she might want to reel Chad back in too. Abigail comments that it's just DiMera business and it's not like Chad's in any real danger..

Gabi tells Kate of her plan to knock Chad out with the champagne bottle. Kate takes the bottle from her and argues that Chad is a victim of Stefano's, just like Marlena.

Kristen asks what this family meeting is all about. Stefano responds that it's not a family meeting, but a wedding, as he's marrying his Queen of the Night and he wants them all to be apart of it. Tony argues that Marlena is already married to John but Stefano says not anymore. Kristen adds that Marlena loves John and will never marry Stefano. Stefano tells her to have faith in the power of his love. Stefano claims after all these years, Marlena finally returns his love. Tony calls it impossible. Stefano tells them that they will all see for themselves and soon his Queen of the Night will be his wife.

Brady encourages John that what he and Marlena have is unbreakable. John says he knows how Stefano operates and the one thing he's always wanted but never gotten is Marlena. John says this is all for Stefano wanting complete dominance over Marlena and he won't be happy until he takes her to bed so he will be damned if he lets that happen.

Marlena puts on her wedding dress and hears John's voice telling her not to do this. Marlena imagines John appearing in the room. She says she knew he'd come and she doesn't know what's happening but it will be fine now that he's here.

Anna tells Abigail that she used to be naive about the family too. Anna argues that everything could go wrong so they have to get their husbands out of that meeting. Abigail then gets a text from Will, asking if she has seen Gabi as she never picked up Arianna. Anna asks her what's wrong. Abigail informs her that Gabi never picked up Arianna and that's not like her so she goes to check if the nanny has seen her.

Gabi questions Kate defending a man who just had a gun on her, ready to pull the trigger. Kate argues that it's not Chad's fault that "Steve" brainwashed him. Gabi argues that Chad is a hired gun who is targeting them to die. Gabi says Kate can reason with him but she'll be long gone.

Brady asks John about going to the police. John says Stefano has moles everywhere so he didn't want to take that chance but it may be time to bring Rafe in on this. Kayla and Hope then show up at the door. John didn't know Hope had been released from the hospital. Hope starts telling John how sorry she is. John says she doesn't have to apologize as he's just glad she's okay as he hugs her. John says now they just need to make sure Marlena will be okay too. Kayla asks if there's any idea where Stefano took her. John shows Kayla the divorce papers that he got. Brady explains that Stefano seems to making his own rules to the game. John feels his end game is taking Marlena to bed.

Marlena imagines John telling her that she's safe and that she belongs by his side. Marlena says she loves him too but then her vision of him disappears. Marlena then thinks back to Stefano's proposal.

Tony argues that Marlena would never marry Stefano under her own free will so clearly he and Dr. Rolf did something to her like they did to Hope. Kristen says that's the only way Marlena would come close to loving him. Stefano is disappointed but not surprised by their lack of support. Stefano remarks that Tony is ruled by his wife while Kristen refused to help him. Stefano states that only Chad has been truly loyal and is aware of what this family needs. Stefano declares that if they can't share in his joy then he can have security take them out. Tony threatens to call the police but Chad pulls a gun on him and warns him not to.

Kayla questions a bogus marriage just to get Marlena in bed and argues that Marlena could already be compromised. Brady says that's what Stefano is counting on. Kayla says she has seen what Steve has become and there's nothing left of the Steve she knew, so he's 100% Stefano DiMera and pure evil. Hope encourages them to have faith since Dr. Rolf was able to remove the microchip from her brain. Kayla worries that Stefano has the resources to vanish so what if they can never find him.

Abigail tells Anna that the nanny hasn't seen Gabi in the last 24 hours and neither have the staff. Abigail notes that they haven't seen Kate as well. Abigail says it's odd because Kate was insisting on having an outfit pressed last night but it's still hanging in the same place. Abigail calls it strange then remembers joking with Chad about hiding women in the house when she came back. Abigail talks about Chad wearing Stefano's Phoenix ring. Anna questions why Chad would want to be connected to a man so evil and corrupt. Abigail decides she's going to go check the tunnels.

Tony questions what Chad is doing and says he can't possibly support Stefano marrying Marlena. Stefano says that Chad understands the importance of La Familia and he's embraced his place in it so they should too. Kristen calls Chad a liar for telling them they had to save Marlena just to get them here. Chad says they both thought Stefano was a threat so he used words they would understand. Stefano stops them and calls it a night of celebration of their family and legacy so he will have his children be apart of it. Chad demands Kristen and Tony turn over their phones so they do. Kristen remarks that he's not acting like the Chad she knows, who wanted nothing to do with Stefano. Kristen questions what Stefano has done to their brother.

Abigail goes to the locked room in the DiMera Tunnels but Gabi, expecting Chad, knocks her out with the champagne bottle while Kate rushes to her side. Kate wakes up Abigail. Gabi tells her it was an accident. Abigail questions what they are doing in here. Kate informs her that Chad locked them up. Gabi says they need to get out before he gets back.

Anna calls Tony, leaving a message asking where he is.

Stefano tells Tony and Kristen that Chad has proven to be more loyal than them. Tony questions how this is possible when Chad despised Stefano's cruelty, corruption, and arrogance. Stefano says Chad was just young but now has a better understanding of the world and their legacy. Kristen tells him to let Chad speak for himself. Chad explains that Stefano showed him that their family was weakened by pretenders and interlopers so it's time to restore La Familia to it's former glory. Tony accuses Stefano of brainwashing Chad. Stefano calls Chad his favorite child and says that is why he will perform the ceremony. Marlena then enters the room in her wedding dress. Stefano tells her that she's never looked more beautiful and that his children are here to witness their marriage. Stefano asks if she's ready. Marlena responds that nothing could make her happier than becoming his wife.

Brady argues that there won't be a wedding as they are going to find Steve and Marlena. Hope points out they could be anywhere. Brady brings up a couple hours ago, Steve being at the notary so he can't be that far. John shows the note Stefano sent with the papers. There's a knock at the door so John goes to answer it but just finds another envelope. John opens it and inside is a wedding invitation to Stefano and Marlena's wedding as Maison Blanche on March 27. Brady thought that place burned down. John points out that the Phoenix always rises from the ashes.

Tony notes that Marlena doesn't sound like herself and asks if she's okay. Marlena repeats that nothing could make her happier than marrying his father. Marlena tells Kristen that they've had their differences but she hopes she will support her and Stefano. Kristen brings up John being the love of Marlena's life. Marlena responds that she loves Stefano now. Kristen concludes that she's definitely brainwashed. Tony tells Stefano that he can't take advantage of Marlena in this state because she doesn't love him. Stefano insists that she does. Stefano wants Tony to be his best man while Kristen will be Marlena's maid of honor. Kristen suggests they just leave. Stefano has Chad give them the rings and flowers. Kristen calls it so wrong. Chad then begins the ceremony.

Brady decides they must be heading to New Orleans to get to Maison Blanche but Hope starts to remember something about Maison Blanche.

Gabi, Kate, and Abigail come out from the tunnels. Anna questions what Gabi did to Abigail. Gabi calls it an accident. Kate states that they were locked in the tunnels. Gabi explains that she thought Abigail was Chad coming back to kill them. Abigail argues that killing them would be a little extreme but Kate confirms it's true because Stefano told him to. Kate shows Abigail the letter from Stefano to Chad. Kate explains that Stefano brainwashed Chad and the trigger word to put him into motion is "La Familia". Gabi says Chad is doing whatever Stefano orders him to. Abigail argues that Chad won't fall for that again and calls it impossible. Kate assures that Chad is completely under the control of his father. Abigail admits Chad has been a little off since she got back from South Africa and now he's at the meeting. Anna knew it wasn't just a meeting. Abigail decides she needs to find Chad before Stefano does.

Tony tries to interrupt the wedding so Chad reaches for his gun but Kristen stops him. Chad then resumes the ceremony and Stefano begins his vows to Marlena. Stefano declares that together, they will rule as DiMeras for all eternity. Marlena notes that she didn't prepare any vows so Stefano tells her to just speak from the heart.

John questions Hope remembering something and says this could be a vital clue. Kayla points out that Hope has not remembered anything about her time as Princess Gina yet. Brady notes that it clearly struck a chord. Hope then flashes back to Stefano showing her his plans of building a castle for his Queen called Maison Blanche which was important to he and Marlena. Hope recalls Stefano saying he had it recreated just outside of Salem. Hope then tells them that Steve had Maison Blanche rebuilt by crystal lake outside of Salem. John and Brady go to rush out while Hope and Kayla say they are going with them.

Anna finishes a call with the DiMera receptionist, who says they have not seen Chad, Tony, or Kristen. Abigail realizes that Chad lied to her. Abigail wonders what he's really up to. Kate guesses that Chad took Tony and Kristen to Stefano. Kate hopes Tony will have the courage to save Marlena from whatever horrible fate "Steve" has in mind.

Stefano ask Marlena if she's alright. Marlena apologizes and says she doesn't know what to say. Stefano says he should've given her more notice then has Chad continue the traditional vows. Marlena says "I do". Stefano takes the rings from Tony and exchanges them with Marlena. Chad then pronounces them husband and wife as Stefano kisses Marlena.

John stops Hope and Kayla, saying that Hope just got out of the hospital and he's not going to put Kayla in danger. Hope argues that Stefano would've never kidnapped Marlena without her so she wants to help. Brady says he'll back John up but they are wasting time. Kayla asks John to promise not to hurt Steve even though Stefano has taken over his body but somewhere inside is the Steve she knew. John assures that Steve was his best friend so the last thing he wants to do is hurt him. John and Brady then exits.

Stefano pours champagne and toasts to his Queen of the Night. Stefano adds that he's arranged for a lavish feast to celebrate a new chapter in the family's history. Tony questions where he's going. Stefano responds that he's going to begin his honeymoon with his new bride. Kristen tells Marlena that she doesn't have to do this if she doesn't want to. Marlena hesitates but tosses her flowers to Kristen and says that maybe one day she and Brady can find the same happiness that she's found with Stefano. Stefano and Marlena then head upstairs while Tony calls it a nightmare.

Abigail calls Chad and leaves a message, telling him to call her as soon as he can. Abigail doesn't know where Chad is and worries that Steve has already convinced Marlena to leave the country with his kids too so what if they never see them again. Anna tries tracking Tony's phone with an app that she put on his phone. Gabi points out that it would have to be turned on.

Tony asks Chad to get them another bottle of champagne so he exits. Tony tells Kristen that he turned on his find my phone app so Anna might can find them. Chad then comes back and questions what they are whispering about.

Abigail wants to call the police but Anna successfully tracks Tony's phone. Anna rushes out while Abigail follows. Gabi questions Anna just leaving without telling them the location.

Hope argues that she could help John and Brady but Kayla says she should still be in the hospital. Hope thinks she could remember something else or get through to Steve. Kayla argues that no one can get through to Steve so they'll just have to pray that John and Brady get to Marlena in time. Hope says the marriage won't be valid. Kayla says "Steve" is just using it to get Marlena in bed. Hope reminds her that it's not really Steve. Kayla responds that she loves Justin so she doesn't want him seeing her falling apart over Steve.

Chad asks what Tony and Kristen were talking about. Kristen claims they were talking about how catching Marlena's flowers isn't the kind of luck she wants. Chad talks about Stefano restoring the family to it's former glory. Tony calls Stefano dangerous and unpredictable. Kristen slaps Chad and tells him that the Phoenix has him under his spell. Chad grabs Kristen by the throat and warns that was a big mistake as he pulls his gun on her. Chad calls Kristen the one that is dangerous and unpredictable and says the Phoenix can't take that risk. Brady then bursts in with a gun on Chad.

Stefano takes Marlena to the bedroom and tells her that he has waited his whole life for this moment and she's finally his forever. Stefano kisses Marlena onto the bed as John then walks in and sees them.
