Days of Our Lives Update Wednesday 3/18/20

Christian tells Orpheus that he was going to tell David that he's his father but he's worried that David may have a fever.

Ben questions if Clyde knows the son of a bitch who killed his sister because he saw the look on his face when he said Christian Maddox. Clyde reveals that he does know him.

Ciara sits at Hope's bed side after her surgery as she sleeps. Ciara promises they will all be there when she's awake. Ciara hopes Dr. Rolf finally got Princess Gina out of her. Kayla comes in and asks if she's okay. Ciara responds that she will be as soon as she gets her mom back. Ciara asks Kayla if she's going to get her mom back.

Ben questions Clyde knowing Christian Maddox and not saying a word. Ben asks if he sent Christian to kill Jordan but Clyde swears he had nothing to do with Jordan's death. Clyde can't believe that Christian is the one who did it. Ben isn't sure if Clyde is really upset or it's just an act. Clyde assures it's not an act. Ben asks how he knows Christian. Clyde responds that he doesn't really but he knows his dad, Orpheus. Ben recalls Orpheus being the guy that Clyde busted out of prison a few years ago.

Christian tells Orpheus that he can't take David to get checked out when there's cops everywhere.

Lani tells Rafe and Eli that Evan/Christian was spotted outside the Lakeside Motel so they decide to head there.

Jack and Doug sit together at Julie's Place. Jack encourages him to eat but Doug remains worried about Hope. Jack assures that Jennifer and Kayla will call if there's any news. Doug feels he can't sit here and wait so he gets up to leave but Jennifer arrives so Doug asks if he's going to get his daughter back.

Kayla tells Ciara that all she can really say is that the procedure went very well and she watched Dr. Rolf's every move in the operating room. Kayla admits that Rolf is a skilled surgeon. Ciara questions if Hope will ever truly be herself again. Hope then begins to wake up so they rush to her side.

Jennifer informs Doug and Jack that the microchip was removed successfully and Shawn took it to the lab to get analyzed. Jennifer adds that Dr. Rolf is at the station and not going anywhere until they know for sure that Hope is back while now they just wait for her to wake up.

Kayla tries to speak to Hope but she's not responding so Ciara worries that something is wrong but Kayla assures that she's fine. Ciara tells Hope that they are there and that she's so happy she's awake. Ciara asks if it's really her.

Ben can't believe Orpheus is Evan's father. Clyde says he and Xander only teamed up with Orpheus because they had unfinished business in Salem. Ben recalls hearing about Orpheus trying to kill Marlena and Kayla so he guesses they know where Evan gets his murderous tendencies from. Ben says he's reformed from his mental illness but Clyde isn't so he questions Clyde having no clue about Orpheus' son hooking up with his daughter. Clyde admits he wouldn't go that far which Ben questions. Clyde says knowing what he knows now, he's starting to feel like it's all his fault.

Rafe, Eli, and Lani break into the motel in search of David.

Ben questions why Clyde thinks it's his fault. Clyde says Ben will too when he explains. Clyde tells him that it all started about three years ago when Orpheus came to visit him in prison. Clyde thought he was dead. Ben asks Clyde why Orpheus came to see him.

Rafe asks Christian where the hell David is as they begin to search the motel.

Ciara asks if it's really Hope. Hope responds that she is. Ciara tells her that she missed her so much. Kayla says they all missed her and they are so happy it's her. Hope asks why they would have any doubt. Doug, Jennifer, and Jack then enter the room and Doug hugs her. Doug says he's so glad to have her back while Ciara says all of their prayers have been answered. Jack and Jennifer ask Kayla if there's a chance she's faking which Hope questions as she asks what happened to her. Kayla says she might be confused coming out of surgery but they will get into later. Hope says can't stay calm when she has no memory of how she ended up here. Kayla asks what she last remembers.

Ben questions Clyde about Orpheus just visiting him and says he must have wanted something from him. Clyde flashes back to the visit where Orpheus said he needed some money and that he would bust him out after he's back on his feet. Clyde informed Orpheus that he had a key to a safety deposit box that Jordan has in California then Orpheus revealed that his son was also in California.

Christian claims to Rafe, Eli, and Lani that David was never there. Christian thinks back to Orpheus' plan for them to split up and relocate. Rafe shoves Christian and asks where David is. Christian claims he has no idea and that he only said David was in good hands so he'd get off his back. Rafe decides he's taking Christian to the station to answer questions. Christian says he's calling his lawyer on the way as they escort him out of the motel.

Hope says the last thing she remembers is praying inside the hospital chapel for Julie. Doug informs her that Julie is fine after the heart transplant and asks what else she remembers. Hope says Dr. Rolf came up behind her and said he was the answer to her prayers. She asks if Dr. Rolf saved Julie. Kayla wants to focus on what else happened that day. She tells her that Dr. Rolf stabbed her with a syringe and guesses that's why she is here. She asks what Rolf did to her. Kayla suggests everyone leave the room to keep her calm as she continues to question what Dr. Rolf did to her. Jack, Ciara, and Doug exit while Kayla apologizes for having the crowd in here. Hope asks again what Dr. Rolf did to her. Kayla informs her that she turned her in to Princess Gina, just like he did years ago by implanting a microchip in her head. Jennifer adds that Princess Gina is gone and that's why she had surgery. Kayla feels it's clear she will be her old self again soon. Jennifer says they are all here for her. Hope asks how long she was out. Kayla reveals she's been gone for a year and a half.

Ben realizes Clyde is the reason that "Evan" and Jordan met. Clyde says that Evan wasn't supposed to knock her up. Ben wonders if Jordan figured out he was Orpheus' kid. Clyde has no idea because he never heard from him again.

Rafe, Eli, and Lani bring Christian to the interrogation room at the police station. Rafe shows him David's toy train and reveals it was found in the town square. Lani adds that the guy who dropped it was carrying groceries. Rafe demands to know who the guy was. Christian shouts that he doesn't have to answer his questions and points out that Eli and Lani aren't cops. He adds that he's already left a message for his attorney. Rafe says he's left a message with the judge and D.A. to have his bail revoked. Christian calls this harassment and says they will lose a major lawsuit if they don't let him go now. Rafe gets a call from the district attorney and steps out to answer. Rafe tells him that Christian is a murderer and a kidnapper. Lani steps out with Rafe. Rafe thanks the D.A. for trying and hangs up. He informs Lani that he wouldn't revoke Christian's bail and he blames himself for getting the judge to let him go in the first place because he thought he would lead them right to David. Lani points out that he still might. Rafe says he actually believed he cared about his son but he clearly doesn't give a damn. Lani encourages that they will find David. Rafe decides dragging him here just makes things worse so he's going to let him go. Rafe and Lani go back in where Christian is finishing a call with his lawyer. Rafe says he's free to go. Christian assumes he'll have him followed again but says he will lose them again as he exits the room.

Ben calls Ciara, who tells him that Hope seems to be herself again. Ciara says she was about to check in with Rafe about David. Ben informs her that he got some information that could help.

Jack takes Doug back to Julie's Place for coffee since Kayla said Hope needed space. Doug hated seeing Hope unable to remember what happened to her. Jack relates to not being able to access your memories. Doug wishes he could spare her the pain of what she's going through now.

Hope can't believe all the time she has lost. Jennifer relates to being in a coma for a year which Hope asks if Dr. Rolf did too. Kayla says they don't need to discuss all this but Hope wants answers. Kayla tells Jennifer that Hope is going to remember or someone will tell her. Jennifer informs Hope that the day of her wedding, she fell off her balcony at the Bistro. Hope hugs her and is thankful she's okay, asking how it happened. Jennifer admits she was pushed. Hope asks who pushed her and they look away so she realizes it was her. Hope hugs Jennifer and cries asking how she could do that.

Jack encourages Doug that Gina is gone and Hope is back. Doug worries about Hope realizing the damage she did as Gina and how she will begin to handle it.

Hope asks how she could do something so horrible as push Jennifer off a balcony and cost her a year of her life. Jennifer assures it was not Hope, it was Gina who was stopping her from exposing Dr. Rolf. Hope feels she could've killed her. Jennifer insists that no one blames her for anything that Gina did. Hope asks what other terrible things she did.

Eli follows Christian out of the town square.

Rafe gets a call from Ciara, who asks if he's okay. Rafe says he is and asks about Hope. Ciara says they are not totally out of the woods yet but she seems to be herself and things are moving in the right direction. Rafe calls that amazing and says Shawn is at the other end of the police station holding Dr. Rolf. Rafe apologizes for not being there for the surgery as he's been focused on finding David. Ciara asks what the latest is. Rafe says they had a lead but it didn't pan out. Ciara informs him that she might have something for him as she just talked to Ben, who thinks he knows who Christian's accomplice is. Ciara says he wanted her to make sure Rafe knew right away that it was Orpheus. Rafe responds that Orpheus is dead. Ciara informs him that Clyde told Ben that Orpheus is very much alive and that Orpheus is Evan/Christian's father. Ciara says Ben will tell him everything when he can use the prison phones again. As Ciara hangs up, Orpheus arrives at the hospital behind her wearing a hoodie and sunglasses.
