Eli and Lani walk through the town square. Eli asks if she wants to go back to their apartment but Lani says they have to come out and face the real world as they have missed out on so much while they were reconnecting. Eli says the situation with Marlena, Steve, and Hope sounds crazy. Lani adds that David is still missing and she can't believe his nanny was actually his father and Jordan's killer. Lani feels bad for David. Eli knows how much she cared about him. Lani can't imagine what Rafe is going through.

Sonny questions how Christian made bail. He says the judge was nice enough to set it at a reasonable number. Will calls him a murderer who kidnapped a child. Christian says they don't consider it kidnapping when it's his own child. Rafe reminds him that he is David's guardian so he has no legal claim to him. He responds that Rafe has no legal claim or right to keep him here so he's going to hit the road. Rafe stops him and says he's not going anywhere.

Brady asks Nicole where Kristen went and why she would run off like that. Nicole jokes that maybe she ran her out of the building. Nicole says she feels for her but she can never forgive her for what she did to her. Brady talks about Kristen really struggling today with trying to remember their baby so he wonders what would make her run off without telling him.

Eric promises Mackenzie that he will always be by her side and so will her mom. Kristen then enters the room at the hospital so Eric questions what she's doing here.

Xander tells Dr. Raynor to take her money and run or she won't be running anywhere ever again. Sarah then appears behind him and asks what's going on.

Rafe brings Christian in to the interrogation room. He argues that he doesn't need to stay since he's out on bail. Rafe explains that he still needs to process his paper work before he can be released which he questions. Rafe points out that otherwise, he'd have to pick him up again. He tells Rafe to hurry up because he's spent enough time here as Rafe exits the room. Will and Sonny talk about this being ridiculous and asks how the judge made a decision like this. Rafe then reveals that he asked the judge to.

Lani talks about everything going on with Gabi and then David being taken. Eli calls it a lot even for a guy like Rafe. Lani suggests he could use some help. Eli says they aren't on the force anymore so they won't have to follow any protocol so maybe it will be a good thing. Lani adds that they still have so much lost time to make up for. Eli says it was a year they should've been together. Lani says she'll never stop trying to make that up to him. Eli says they will make it up for the rest of their lives but she's right that their friends need them. They decide to head to the police station to see if they can help.

Sonny questions Rafe telling the judge to let Evan/Christian out on bail. Rafe says if he couldn't make bail, he'd be sitting in a cell so he couldn't find David. Rafe explains that it's a setup as once he leaves the station, he will be followed and hopefully lead them to David so he gets his son back.

Brady tells Nicole that the security guard said he saw Kristen leaving the building. Nicole doesn't know what he wants her to do. Brady gets a text from Kristen, saying she couldn't stop thinking about Mackenzie so she went to the hospital to check on her. Nicole can't imagine Eric will be too pleased about that.

Kristen tells Eric that she came to check on the baby. Eric says that's not necessary and they are supposed to keep visitors to a minimum. Kristen knows he still hates her for what she did to he and Nicole. She apologizes and says she's not the same person anymore and she genuinely cares about Mackenzie. She says she feels invested in her recovery which Eric questions. Kristen says being a mother for a short time changed her.

Xander tells Sarah that he was just meeting with Dr. Raynor. Sarah comments that they just look uncomfortable. Xander says he just had questions about Mackenzie. Sarah informs him that the bone marrow transplant worked. Xander hugs her and says he's so happy for her. Sarah asks where he was since she heard he left the hospital in a hurry. Xander says he just had to go home and check in with Victor on a few things. Sarah questions what's going on and why they look so tense.

Brady questions why Kristen would feel the need to check on Mackenzie. Nicole says she's hard to figure out and she's not sure how Eric will react. Brady decides he should go to make sure nothing goes wrong so Nicole decides to go with him.

Eric appreciates Kristen's concern for Mickie's recovery and mentions hearing she was tested to be a possible donor so they are both grateful. Kristen asks how she's doing. Eric informs her that they just got good news that the bone marrow is producing white blood cells faster than they thought so she should make a full recovery. Kristen calls the best news she could ask for.

Xander tells Sarah that he just wanted to make sure Mickie was getting the best care. Sarah says there is still a long road ahead but she believes things will only get better. Sarah tells Dr. Raynor that she's been so amazing and asks if they can set up a time to talk about where to go from here with her treatment. Dr. Raynor says she will text her. Xander notes that Victor wanted to pass along his gratitude too. Sarah gets a call from Maggie and steps away to answer. Xander asks Dr. Raynor if she will leave Salem or are they going to have a problem.

Sonny asks Rafe if there's anything they can do to help. Will says Evan belongs behind bars and David belongs with Rafe. Rafe thanks him and says he just wants David to be safe. Rafe asks how Arianna is. Sonny says they managed to protect her from finding out that David is missing. Will encourages that he'll be back soon. Rafe hopes he is safe, where ever he is.

Eli can't imagine how hard it is for Rafe to do his job while David is missing. A man bumps in to them while rushing through the town square. They yell out to him but he keeps going. Lani notes that he dropped something as they wonder why the man didn't stop. She notes it's a child's toy and they talk about the man clearly not wanting to talk to them.

Rafe enters the interrogation room to tell Christian that he's free to go. Rafe reminds him to show up for his court date. He assures he's not going anywhere. Rafe gives him one last chance to tell him where David is since he's still going to trial for Jordan's murder. Rafe suggests offering supervised visitation if he tells him where David is. Christian tells Rafe to talk to his lawyer and leave him alone as he exits the station. Rafe then makes a call to have him followed.

Xander asks Dr. Raynor for an answer, reminding her that their deal was that they would never see her again. Dr. Raynor says Sarah is a friend and a colleague. Xander warns her to never mention that Mackenzie is not Sarah's daughter. Dr. Raynor says he needs to understand that as a doctor, she took an oath, saved a life and felt responsible. Xander warns her to worry about her own life. She then says he's scared her so they have a deal. Xander tells her that she's doing the right thing. They shake hands as Nicole and Brady arrive at the hospital and see them.

Kristen tells Eric that she's been praying for his little girl every single day. Eric thanks her and says regardless of their past history, he's truly sorry for the pain she suffered after losing her daughter. Kristen wishes she could've done something to save her life but she's thankful that Dr. Raynor saved Mackenzie's. Kristen asks if she could hold Mackenzie for a minute.

Sonny and Will go back home, talking about hoping that David is found and they lock Christian up for good. Sonny wonders how he ever got involved with a guy like that in the first place. Will understands he was lonely and hurt so he doesn't blame him for anything. Will decides he will go check on Arianna and suggests Sonny pour them some wine to get their night started.

Rafe talks on the phone about making sure Evan/Christian doesn't get away. Lani and Eli arrive at the station. Rafe tells them that he's sorry for everything that Gabi put them through. Eli says none of that matters right now. Rafe asks what they are doing here. Lani says they want to help with David in any way they can. Eli asks for the latest. Rafe informs them that Evan has been released on bail and explains the plan to set him up so that he leads them straight to David.

Kristen tells Eric how much it would mean to her since she only got to hold Rachel for a short time and then she was gone. Eric understands but says he can't let her hold her because her immune system is compromised. Kristen says she understands.

Nicole sends Brady to find Kristen and says she'll be there soon. Dr. Raynor walks away then Nicole watches as Xander calls Victor to tell him the situation is handled as Raynor agreed to leave town so their secret is safe and no one will ever know what they did. Nicole then appears as Xander hangs up and says that sounded important.

Kristen looks over Mackenzie as Brady enters the room and asks if everything is okay. Eric tells him it is. Brady says he's very happy to hear the good news. Brady tells Eric he's here if he needs anything. Brady then tells Kristen they should probably go. Kristen says she will be praying for her as she and Brady then exit the room.

Xander tells Nicole that the phone call was Titan business and not hers. Nicole brings up that Xander thought Dr. Raynor was guilty of malpractice but then she saw them shaking hands. Xander says he was grateful to her for helping Mackenzie and saving her life. Nicole doesn't believe him. Sarah then comes back. Nicole asks her about Maggie. Sarah says she's pushing through as best as she can. Sarah remembers she was supposed to get Eric some food. Nicole decides she will go while Sarah goes to be with her baby. Xander suggests he and Sarah go eat at the Bistro. Sarah questions leaving Mickie while Xander thinks she will probably sleep through the night. Sarah is unsure but Xander encourages her to take a few hours to relax and celebrate. Sarah agrees to go. Xander says he just wants to make her happy as they exit the hospital together.

Will comes back to Sonny and tells him about Arianna falling asleep after he read her a story. Sonny says Arianna is almost as happy as he is to have him home. Sonny suggests taking their wine upstairs so Will agrees and they head to their room. Will talks about not knowing if he'd ever be back here with him. Sonny admits he was scared he wouldn't, especially after signing the divorce papers. Will thanks him for his patience and kindness as he didn't think he could love him more than he did but he does. Sonny says he loves him with all his heart as they kiss in to bed.

Nicole brings food to Eric. Eric kisses her and says he's so glad to see her. Eric mentions Kristen being there. Nicole says she was with Brady when he got the text that she was there and didn't think he would be too happy. Eric says he wasn't but acknowledges that Kristen was in a lot of pain. Nicole knows that pain well. Nicole looks over Mickie and says she really is a miracle. Eric calls her his miracle and says he never thought he could love anything as much as he loves her.

Eli and Lani talk with Rafe about who Evan could've left David with. Rafe gets a call and asks if he was led to David, but he is told that they lost him which Rafe can't believe.

Evan/Christian goes to where he put David and asks the man inside how his son is.

Sonny brings Will their wedding rings in bed so they can put them back on and they kiss.

Sarah and Xander go home to the Kiriakis Mansion. Sarah still doesn't feel right about leaving Mickie at the hospital but Xander encourages her that she has good people looking out for her. Xander can't wait to take her out to celebrate as they kiss and she then heads upstairs to shower. Xander heads in to the living room and tells himself that everything will be okay now and Sarah will never find out that her daughter is really Kristen's.

Brady and Kristen return to her room at the Salem Inn. Kristen apologizes for running out without telling him but she knows he would've tried to stop her. Brady asks why she went to the hospital. Kristen says she doesn't know and just had an overwhelming feeling to see if Mackenzie was okay but she doesn't understand why. Kristen says there is a connection in her mind because of the two little girls born on the same night. Brady apologizes if he made it worse but Kristen assures that he didn't. Kristen says Brady helped her remember everything about Rachel, including the heart shaped birth mark on her neck.

Nicole looks over Mackenzie and asks Eric about the birth mark on her neck. Eric asks if she never noticed it before. Nicole thinks back to Brady telling her that Kristen remembered that Rachel had a heart shaped birth mark on her neck.

Rafe calls to put an APB out on Evan aka Christian and says they cannot let him leave Salem. Rafe questions how he got away and guesses he knew they were tailing him. Eli assures it's not his fault. Lani says she'll call Abe to let him know they are joining the search. Rafe notices the toy in Lani's hand and questions where she got it. Lani says they found it in the town square. Rafe recognizes it as David's.

Christian talks about how much he has wanted to see David again as it's then revealed he is with the evil villain Orpheus, who says it's no surprise that Christian was able to lose the cops because he learned from him.
