Christian reveals to Rafe that the judge just threw out his confession. Rafe doesn't believe him but Christian says he can call the D.A. as it's like his confession never happened.

Brady goes to the Basic Black office and tells Kristen that the cops got Dr. Rolf but he won't tell where Stefano took Marlena. Brady then notices that Kristen is crying over their baby's death certificate.

Xander goes to the hospital and asks Nicole how Mackenzie is. Nicole says she's asleep and she just left the room because Dr. Raynor wanted to speak to Eric and Sarah in private. Xander questions what the hell Dr. Raynor wants.

Dr. Raynor tells Sarah and Eric that they and Mackenzie have been through so much the last few months. Sarah knows it could take months to show improvement. Eric asks what she wanted to talk to them about. Dr. Raynor thinks back to Xander threatening her. She then informs them that she has some unexpected news for them about Mackenzie..

Will enters the living room of the Kiriakis Mansion where Victor greets him. Victor says it's the first he's seen him since he moved back in. Will admits he's been avoiding him and asks where Sonny is. Victor says he doesn't know but he saw him leave in a hurry earlier.

Rafe finishes a call while Sonny storms in asking how the hell the judge threw out Evan's confession. Christian says the judge knew it was a coerced confession because he had a gun to his head. Sonny can't believe this and asks if Christian will be let go.

Sarah asks Dr. Raynor what she wanted to tell them. She responds that she has good news; Mackenzie's tests show that her white blood cell count is starting to rise. Sarah is surprised it's so soon. Eric asks what this means. Sarah says it means the bone marrow is working and the transplant was a success. Sarah calls it everything they have been hoping for and hugs Dr. Raynor to thank her for being there for them. Eric thanks her for saving their daughter's life..

Nicole assumes Dr. Raynor is updating Eric and Sarah on Mackenzie's condition since she is the baby's doctor. Xander decides he will find out but Nicole reminds him that she wanted to speak in private. Xander asks what the big secret is. Nicole says there's no secret, he's just not want one of the parents. Nicole asks what's going on with him, why he's so nervous, and if it has something to do with the argument she saw between he and Dr. Raynor earlier. Xander says it wasn't an argument and he was just trying to make sure Mackenzie is getting the best possible care. Nicole insists she heard something about a secret. Xander asks if she asked Dr. Raynor about it. Nicole says she's pretty good at spotting when someone is lying to her and says she's staying here until Xander tells her what's really going on.

Rafe doubts the judge will let Christian walk while Christian calls the DNA evidence circumstantial. Rafe brings up Ben being convicted on circumstantial evidence. Christian says the charges haven't been dropped yet but his lawyer is in court arguing they should be. Sonny argues that he should go to prison for the rest of his life. Christian brings up everything they meant to each other. Sonny goes after Christian but Rafe holds him back. Sonny decides to go wait outside. Christian stops him to tell him that he still cares about him and he always will. Sonny then exits the office.

Victor guesses Will and Sonny are calling off the divorce. Will confirms that and asks if he's disappointed. Victor says he has no animosity towards him and letting him go to prison wasn't personal as he was protecting Maggie. Will guesses it was all for nothing since Maggie ended up remembering on her own. Victor argues that she should've kept it to herself so he could've protected her. Will tells Victor that he was willing to keep quiet for Maggie but that does not mean he forgives Victor what he did. Will says he spent a year in prison separated from his daughter and husband with the crushing guilt that he felt because he thought he killed his husband's mother. Will asks if Victor feels any guilt. Victor responds that he has no regrets. Will suggests he should because while he was in prison, Sonny got with a murderer. Victor questions that being his fault. Will thinks what he and Xander did have consequences for a lot of people in town and the effects will be felt for a long time.

Dr. Raynor tells Sarah and Eric that they should celebrate but it's only the first step in a long road to recovery. Eric says they are just thrilled that the procedure was successful. Dr. Raynor calls Mackenzie the toughest little girl she's ever seen. Eric comments that she takes after her mother. Dr. Raynor decides to leave them alone with Mickie. Sarah thanks her again as the doctor exits the room. Eric asks if this means what he thinks. Sarah calls it the first time in month that she's had faith and really believes their little girl is going to live.

Kristen tells Brady that she requested a copy of Rachel's death certificate and it arrived today. Brady asks why she would want it. Kristen says she's never seen it and she needed to. Kristen cries that it's not supposed to be this way with all this pain not getting better. Kristen talks about Mackenzie fighting for her life at the hospital just like Rachel and she keeps having the same dream about looking for their baby. Kristen says her memory of holding her baby is fading away and she's starting to forget her. Kristen says that's why the death certificate is so important because it reminds her. Brady calls it just a piece of paper but Kristen calls it proof that she was there. Kristen wishes they could go back to that night and says they never got a picture or a foot print. Kristen cries that she doesn't remember her own baby's face. Kristen remarks that it's clear that God never wanted her to be a mother. Brady tells her not to say that as he hugs her.

Xander tells Nicole to stop interrogating him when he hasn't done anything wrong. Nicole brings up Dr. Raynor delivering Brady and Kristen's baby. Xander points out that she died so he questions why anyone would trust Dr. Raynor with their child. Nicole argues that Kristen doesn't blame Dr. Raynor. Xander says he's just trying to make sure that Mackenzie gets the best possible care. Dr. Raynor walks by so Xander asks her for a word. She says she's late for rounds. Xander asks about the news she had for Sarah and Eric about Mackenzie. Dr. Raynor says she can't get into specifics with him and she can only say that it was good news. Nicole says they must be so relieved. Dr. Raynor says they are and quickly walks away. Nicole says this is great. Xander agrees and says he has to go soon as he follows after Dr. Raynor. Nicole comments that something very strange is going on here..

Sarah and Eric watch over Mackenzie. Eric decides he should go update Nicole on the results. He assures Sarah that their little girl is going to be okay and hugs her. Eric then exits the room. Sarah sits with Mickie and talks about the night she was born and says she'll never let her go.

Victor tells Will that he and Sonny are young and in love so they'll be fine while this could ruin Maggie's life. Will understands wanting to protect Maggie but she's dealing with it. Victor argues that she's determined to go to prison for her crime. Will understands the guilt. Victor says it won't bring Adrienne back and isn't what Sonny and Justin want. Will suggests maybe they can convince the judge. Victor feels Maggie has decided to fight for her life. Will says Justin and Sonny are Adrienne's closest family. Victor adds that this isn't just about Adrienne so Will asks what it's about then. Victor claims he just meant that Adrienne wasn't the only person in that car that night. Will gets a call from Sonny, who tells him that he needs to come to the police station and he won't be happy about it.

Eric informs Nicole that Mackenzie's blood cell count is up. Nicole calls it amazing and says she's so happy for him. Eric says they still have a long way to go. Nicole is glad things are finally looking up for him. Nicole asks if there's any news about Marlena. Eric says not yet as Dr. Rolf refuses to give Stefano up. Nicole asks if there's anything she can do for him. Eric wishes there was but they are doing their best to find Marlena and they have hit a wall. Nicole encourages that his luck is turning around so they will find her. Eric hopes so since it's been one thing after another. Eric tells Nicole that she's been amazingly supportive and it means a lot to know he can count on her. Eric is surprised that Xander isn't around here since he's usually hovering. Nicole informs him that he just ran out.

Xander enters the Kiriakis Mansion as Will exits. Victor tells Xander that he almost said something to Will that would've given away the whole thing. Xander asks if he has to worry about him. Victor says he'll be fine as long as they are sure that Dr. Raynor has been taken care of..

Brady tells Kristen that he will help her remember and they will keep those memories fresh. Brady says Marlena used to help him with consciously remembering. Brady sits her down and has her close her eyes so they can remember the night their baby was born together. Kristen cries about seeing her baby. Kristen remembers seeing a birth mark on her baby in the shape of a heart...

Sarah watches over Mackenzie and comments on her heart shaped birth mark. Eric comes back and joins them. Sarah mentions not even noticing the birth mark when she was born and laughs about thinking she wasn't the same baby when Xander brought her back to her. Eric notes that she never told him that. Sarah says it didn't make any sense since she's obviously theirs and she must have been too tired to notice her birth mark.

Victor asks Xander if the situation with the doctor has been taken care of or not. Xander says Dr. Raynor took the money and he made it clear she has to leave town but he just saw her at the hospital. Victor questions her still being in Salem. Xander explains that he couldn't confront her with Nicole right there and then she just took off. Victor worries that Dr. Raynor could ruin everything and if the truth comes out, it's not just Maggie that goes down as they do too. Victor feels Xander isn't appreciating the severity of the situation. Victor orders Xander to go back to the hospital and take care of Dr. Raynor once and for all.

Will goes to the police station where Sonny informs him that Christian's confession was thrown out and now his lawyer is trying to get the case thrown out. Sonny hopes the DNA evidence is enough but Will worries it doesn't prove he killed Jordan. Will realizes they stopped Ben's execution based on Christian's confession and he's expecting to get released any moment. Will asks if this means Ben is not getting out.

Kristen tells Brady that it worked as she remembered holding Rachel in her arms. Kristen thanks him for giving her that memory back. They hug until Nicole walks in. Kristen asks what she's doing here. Nicole reminds her that she works here. Kristen steps out to the restroom. Brady asks Nicole if there's any update on Mackenzie. Nicole informs him that the bone marrow transplant worked. Brady says that's great. Nicole calls it a miracle. Nicole then asks what's up with Kristen. Brady says the memories of their daughter were becoming distant for her so she was afraid of losing them completely. Brady says she only held Rachel for a couple minutes so he was helping her relive those minutes so she could remember. Brady adds that he was really surprised about what they were able to recall about their little girl from that time. Brady mentions that Kristen even remembered a faint heart shaped birth mark on Rachel's neck.

Dr. Raynor goes to leave the hospital but Xander appears on the elevator next to her and questions where she thinks she's going. She says she forgot something in a patient's room but Xander informs her that she's not going anywhere.

Sonny thought this nightmare was finally over. Will tells Sonny that everything will be okay, Ben's still getting out, and they'll be alright too because no matter what happens, "Evan" can't touch them and would be an idiot to try. Sonny can't believe he'd ever fall for a guy like that and apologizes to Will. Will stops him and says they are together now which is all that matters. Rafe comes over to announce the judge has made a decision about Christian.

Nicole tells Brady that it's hard to garner sympathy after everything Kristen did to her but she'd never wish the loss of a child on anyone. Brady notes that Kristen has been gone for awhile so he goes to check on her.

Sarah and Eric talk about Mackenzie looking peaceful while sleeping. Sarah says she's going to see if Xander is in the hall but Eric informs her that Nicole mentioned he took off in a hurry. Sarah notes that Xander has been so devoted to Mickie so she wouldn't expect him to leave. Sarah is sorry since she knows Xander is a sore subject for Eric. Sarah assures him that the decision to keep Mickie's paternity from Eric was all her decision and Xander had nothing to do with it. Sarah says it was her wrong decision and asks Eric not to hold Xander or Nicole responsible for it. Eric informs her that he forgave Nicole which Sarah says she's glad to hear. Sarah repeats that she's so sorry for the way things happened but she's not sorry for how things turned out because he has Nicole and she has Xander while most importantly, they have their daughter..

Dr. Raynor asks what Xander wants from her now. Xander says she took the money so he thought she would leave Salem immediately. She argues that she can't just pick up and move when she has patients and she's still in the middle of Mackenzie's case. Xander says the transplant is finished so another doctor can take over. Dr. Raynor says she needs a few days to a week. Xander warns her that there have been discussions about a more permanent solution so he's only advocating for her safety. Xander adds that Victor is very dangerous so if she doesn't do the right thing, he'll have no choice but to find another way to compel her silence.

Rafe informs Sonny and Will that the judge is not dropping the charges against Christian but it's more complicated than that. Christian then comes over and announces he just made bail.

Sarah calls Xander and leaves a message, asking where he is and to call her back when he gets the message. Sarah tells Eric that it's so weird. Eric suggests he could be in a Titan meeting. Sarah decides she's going to track him down to tell him the good news while Eric stays with Mackenzie. Eric says he missed the first six months of her life but promises he won't miss another minute.

Brady comes back and tells Nicole that Kristen is not in the ladies room so he wonders where she went.

Eric promises Mackenzie that he will always be by her side and so will her mom. Kristen then enters the room at the hospital.

Xander tells Dr. Raynor to take her money and run or she won't be running anywhere ever again. Sarah then appears behind him.
