At the DiMera Mansion, Abigail complains about how she looks and says she will need a lot of makeup. Chad tells her she looks beautiful and surprises her with a necklace for Valentine's Day as they kiss.

Julie calls Gabi to tell her that her brand new pacemaker is in and working and the doctors say she can go home so she is set to marry Gabi and Eli. Julie wishes Doug could be there but there's a situation with Hope and she really needs her dad right now. Gabi says she heard about that and hopes that Doug can get through to Hope. Gabi tells her that she will see her later and hangs up. Gabi then looks at her phone and gets an alert about Julie's new pacemaker being active.

Eli and JJ walk through the town square as Eli talks about the great weather for a Valentine's Day wedding. Eli tells JJ that he knows he's had something on his mind all day and questions what it is.

Lani is at JJ's apartment and calls Kristen, leaving a message that Gabi and Eli's wedding is tonight and she knows what she has to do but she would feel a lot better if she could talk it over with her.

Kristen sees she missed Lani's call so she starts to call back but Brady shows up at her door and invites her to be his plus one to Gabi and Eli's wedding.

Ciara and Ben are in the DiMera Gatehouse where Ciara reads news articles about the prison being on lockdown as the man hunt for Ben continues. Ben notes that it's getting dark so he thinks should get a move on. Ciara points out that he won't get very far in the shape he's in. Ben tells her that he's already thought this through so they have to face reality and say goodbye. Ciara reminds him that she will never say goodbye to him. Ben won't let her live her life on the run. Ciara argues that if he leaves her, she won't have a life. Ben says if he takes her with him, he'll end up hating himself so he's calling the shots. Ben says maybe one day they will be together again but for right now, she has to stay here.

Abigail tells Chad that she and the kids have something special for him too. Chad thought Gabi was keeping her too busy to remember. Abigail gives Chad a card from the kids. Chad gets a call from Harold. Chad tells Abigail that someone must have left a light on in the gatehouse so he'll go check it out. Abigail asks if he's out of his mind.

In her room, Gabi pulls out a photo of Stefan and says she will always love him and she will never forget him. Gabi adds that she knows he wouldn't want her to spend the rest of her life alone and he'd want her to be happy. Gabi states that Eli makes her happy but there will always be a special place in her heart for Stefan as she still misses him. Gabi talks about marrying Stefan for revenge and wanting to take everything from him but he fell in love with her anyway. Gabi says one of the happiest nights of her life turned in to a nightmare the day he died. Gabi talks about making Lani get on her knees to beg for Stefan's heart, thinking it would make her feel better but it didn't. Gabi cries that she lost Stefan while Lani had Eli and Julie had his heart keeping her alive but she couldn't stand it so she came up with this plan to feel sane again. Gabi goes over making Lani break up with Eli or she would make Julie's new pacemaker not work. Gabi talks about Julie being so grateful to her and completely changing towards her. Gabi worries about them finding out but says she can't get rid of the app because it's the only leverage she has over Lani, otherwise she would go to the cops, Eli would hate her, she'd go to prison, and her baby wouldn't have a mother so she can't take that chance.

JJ tells Eli that he's just thinking about Haley as he had their engagement ring in his pocket when she died and he never had the chance to propose. Eli realizes he's going on about being excited to get married. JJ tells him he gets to do that. Eli understands if it's too much for him to stand up at his wedding. JJ assures that he'll do anything he needs. Eli asks if that includes seeing Kristen because Gabi insisted on inviting her.

Kristen questions Brady wanting her to go to the wedding as his date. Brady reminds her that she was invited. Kristen says Gabi is just sucking up to her for her DiMera stock. Brady asks if Kristen wants to go with him. Kristen says she would love to but she got close with Lani at the convent so she feels it would be disloyal to go to the wedding and saw the man Lani loved getting married to another woman. Brady is confused because Lani left Eli at the altar and questions if she's saying Lani still loves Eli.

Lani declares that she doesn't know if this is the right thing, but she has to do it, as she takes a bag and exits JJ's apartment.

Abigail doesn't understand why Chad has to be the one to check the gatehouse. Chad asks if he's supposed to call his security chief on his wedding day just because somebody may have left a light on. Abigail argues that he has an entire security force. Chad tells her that she knows Harold worries. Abigail decides she'll see him at the wedding and she'll go check on Julie to see if she's up for the wedding. They joke that Harold could officiate the wedding and then Gabi would never speak to them again. Abigail then exits the mansion.

JJ explains to Eli that Kristen had just found out her baby died, pushed Haley who fell down a flight of stairs, and he accepts now that it was a horrible accident. Eli points out that doesn't mean he has to socialize with Kristen. JJ agrees to keep his distance. JJ asks if there is anything else he needs to do as best man. JJ offers to pick Julie up. Eli says he told Julie that he would do it. JJ offers to tell her that Eli needed more time to get himself together. JJ says it's what a best man does and the hospital knows him. Eli agrees so JJ heads to the hospital.

Rafe goes to Gabi's room and offers to walk her to the town square since he's giving her away. Rafe notices her photo of Stefan and guesses she's thinking of him today. Gabi admits she thought she would spend the rest of her life with him.

Ben tells Ciara that with the manhunt, every cop in three states is looking for him and she is his main known associate so that means they are looking for her too. Ben declares that she will have to deal with it. Ben goes to leave as Chad shows up at the Gatehouse and questions what the hell he's doing here. Chad comes in and questions if Ciara is helping him. Ben tells him that he forced Ciara to let him in when she didn't want to. Ciara questions what Chad is doing. Chad says he's calling the cops and if she's lucky, he will keep her out of this. Ciara argues that if he turns Ben in, they will execute him and he didn't kill Jordan so he's innocent. Chad brings up what Ben did to Abigail and points out that he killed three people. Ciara argues that he's different now. Chad asks why he escaped from prison then. Chad declares he's sending Ben back where he belongs.

Abigail goes to check on Julie at the hospital. Julie tells her that she's wonderful as she's going to see her grandson get married and live happily ever after. Julie assures that she's up for doing the ceremony and feels it's her chance to make amends as she was so wrong about Gabi. Abigail points out that she will never be a fan of Gabi. Julie reminds her of how she believed in Abigail when no one else did and now she believes in Gabi. Abigail calls that her right. Julie hopes Abigail can find it in her heart to forgive Gabi because tonight she is going to become a member of the Horton family whether Abigail likes it or not.

Rafe asks Gabi if she's absolutely sure this is what she wants. Gabi assures that she loves Eli and wants him to be her husband. Rafe says he's happy for her. Gabi knows she doesn't have the best track record but insists this marriage will work. Gabi says Eli is an amazing man and she's the luckiest woman in the world. Rafe says he doesn't know about that.

Abe joins Eli in the town square and says he's happy for him as he has every right to live his life the way he wants. Abe still can't believe what Lani did or that she disappeared from his life the way she has. Eli asks if he's seen her since she left Salem. Abe says it's just been a couple phone calls and guesses she's going through with being a nun which he will never understand. Lani appears around the corner wearing a big hat and a trenchcoat as Abe tells Eli that the Lani that broke Eli's heart that day is not the Lani that he knows and loves.

Kristen tells Brady that she meant that Lani loved Eli. Brady feels she doesn't have to worry about hurting her then. Kristen feels it's still a sensitive subject for Lani. Brady tells her that he understands and he came for another reason because he had something to give her but he doesn't know if it was a good idea because he noticed she's not wearing her charm bracelet. Brady says it's okay if it's too painful for her to think about losing their daughter. Kristen tells him that she would never get rid of anything he gave her. Kristen invites him in and shows him that she still has the charm bracelet. Brady says that's good because he has an addition to it. Brady tells her that they need to put the painful memories behind them and move forward so he gives her a new charm for Valentine's Day.

Lani remains around the corner as Abe tells Eli that he's reached out to Lani but she seems to have retreated behind the walls of the convent. Eli knows how that feels. Abe says he misses her so much. Eli invites Abe to stay for the wedding since he's been like a father to him since he came to Salem. Abe says that means the world to him. Eli says there is something he should know, as his mom and Abe's ex Valerie then returns to Salem for the wedding.

Gabi questions if Rafe is keeping something from her since he disagreed about her being the luckiest woman in the world. Rafe clarifies that luck had nothing to do with her finding happiness. Rafe tells Gabi that she has grown up because she used to think she had to trick people in to getting what she wants but now Eli loves her for her because she's changed and grown up. Rafe calls Eli the luckiest man in the world. Rafe asks if she's ready. Gabi responds that there's one more thing she has to do as she removes her necklace and puts it in the drawer with Stefan's photo.

Ciara tells Chad that she knows he hates Ben but he did not kill Jordan. Ben understands it's not just about Jordan as Chad is right that he put Abigail through Hell, killed three people, tried to kill Will, and that's never going away. Ciara argues that he was out of his mind when he did those things and it was Clyde in his head doing those things. Ciara says Ben is now the man he would've been if he didn't have Clyde as a father and she loves him. Chad tells Ciara that her father would be losing his mind if he heard her say that. Ciara responds that people stand by the ones they love. Ciara brings up Abigail doing horrible things when she was not in her right mind but Chad still loves her. Ciara begs Chad to listen to her and show compassion for them.

Valerie and Abe say it's nice to see each other. Eli mentions that he was just inviting Abe to the wedding if it's okay to leave them alone together which they say it is. Valerie hugs Eli as he then goes to check on the photographer arriving for the wedding.

Chad puts his phone away so Ciara thanks him. Chad warns that he wants Ben out by tomorrow. Ben says he will be. Chad tells Ciara to be careful because of how much trouble she could be in for harboring a fugitive. Ciara argues that if it were Abigail, Chad would be doing the same thing. Ciara tells him how much they appreciate this. Chad can't believe he's doing this and says she's lucky it's Valentine's Day. Chad tells her to be safe as he then exits the gatehouse.

Brady adds the charm to Kristen's bracelet as she talks about when he gave her the bracelet on Mother's Day. Kristen says she thinks about their daughter Rachel Isabella every day. Brady says she's a bond between them that will never break and suggests they build on that by thinking about the future instead of living in the past. Brady says he's learned about taking things one day at a time and today is Valentine's Day so he thinks she should let him take her to a wedding.

Eli sits outside and thinks back to when Lani broke up with him in that same spot. Lani appears around the corner behind him. Eli gets up and walks away. Lani then comes around the corner.

Chad joins Abigail in the town square for the wedding. Abigail asks about the gatehouse. Chad tells her that everything's fine and he will fill her in after the wedding.

Ben tells Ciara that he heard Chad say the police are coming for him and that Ciara could be in a hell of a lot of trouble if they find out she's helping him so he's taking off before daybreak tomorrow. Ciara reminds Ben that today is Valentine's Day.

Julie and JJ join Eli in the town square. Eli is glad Julie is there and thanks JJ for picking her up. Eli states that it's almost time and there's no sign of Kristen. JJ jokes that he won't complain.

Kristen gets dressed to go to the wedding with Brady and then they start kissing.

Rafe walks Gabi down the aisle for her wedding to Eli. Julie begins the ceremony. Julie asks if anyone has cause for Eli and Gabi not to be joined together and jokes that they would have to deal with her if so. Nobody interrupts so Julie continues the ceremony. Gabi and Eli say I do to one another. Eli turns to JJ for the rings but he can't find them.

Brady and Kristen continue kissing in her room. Brady points out that she didn't really want to go to the wedding anyways. Kristen responds that there's no place she'd rather be as he removes her dress and they continue kissing.

Ben tells Ciara that all he can think about is that Chad is giving them one more day before he's calling the police. Ciara suggests they make the most of it then. Ben argues that she can't keep putting her life and future on the line for him. Ciara tells him to knock it off because she loves him and they have this one night together so she doesn't want to argue about tomorrow. Ciara wants to make love to him right now. Ben tells Ciara that he loves her more than he ever thought he could love someone as they kiss.

JJ finds the rings in his pocket and hands them to Eli. Julie continues the ceremony as Gabi and Eli exchange the rings. Julie starts to finish but Lani interrupts in her nun outfit, telling her not to say another word, shocking everyone in attendance.
