Days of Our Lives Update Wednesday 2/12/20

Nicole and Eric lay in bed together. Nicole says part of her still doesn't believe she deserves to be in his arms again. Eric assures that is in the past and he loves her as they kiss.

Xander and Sarah lay in bed together. Xander says he never thought he'd get to live this dream of having her next to him. Xander adds that he doubted she would ever return his feelings but he's very glad the wait is over. Sarah says this is the first time since Mackenzie got sick that she's felt happy as they kiss.

Kristen looks at the new portrait of Stefano in her room and comments that Steve might have a better chance of seducing Marlena than Stefano does but it's definitely a long shot. Brady shows up at her door. Kristen says she wasn't expecting him back so soon and asks if they are still on for their breakfast date in the morning. Brady says they are but he had some Basic Black contacts to run by her. Kristen asks if it can wait. Brady says it could but he admits he really wanted to see her. Brady asks if it's a bad time. Kristen then invites him in. Brady sees the portrait of Stefano with Steve's face and questions what the hell that is.

Kayla's phone rings with a call from Roman but "Steve" asks her not to answer it because he has something more to say to her. Steve" tells Kayla that he wants her to know how much he appreciates her patching him up like this but he's afraid he has one more favor to ask of her. He tells Kayla that he needs her to hide him.

Justin visits Victor in the hospital and says he's glad to see he's awake. Victor responds that he can't sleep in this hell hole. Justin mentions hearing from Maggie that he will be released tomorrow. Victor can't wait to blow this joint. Justin informs Victor that he just heard that Ben Weston escaped from prison and asks if Victor was involved.

Ciara brings Ben home to the DiMera Gatehouse. Ben is not sure this is a good idea. Ciara knows they haven't lived here in over a year so she figures the police wouldn't think to check here. Ben tells her that he only accepted her ride because the place was swarming with cops but he's got it from here so she needs to leave and not come back.

Victor questions why he would break Ben out of prison. Justin suggests he felt like he owed Ciara. Victor reminds him that he spent a great deal of time trying to keep Ben away from Ciara. Justin says that's why she was so sure that he and Xander framed Ben for Jordan's murder until somehow, they convinced her that they didn't even though she heard them admit to sending an innocent man to prison. Justin questions what Victor said to Ciara to convince her that Ben wasn't the innocent man he had locked up.

Ciara tells Ben that she's in this so she's not going anywhere. Ben can't believe Clyde involved her when he warned him not to which is why she needs to leave and not come back. Ben warns her of the danger of helping a fugitive. Ciara doesn't care because she loves him. Ben insists that this isn't happening and she needs to leave. Ciara responds that she doesn't have a life without him in it so she tells him to shut up and change his clothes.

Kayla questions hiding "Steve" when Stefano's men tried to kill him so he needs to contact the police. He says he will when the time is right but he can't take that chance right now as he needs to take Stefano down himself. Kayla argues that John and Marlena can help him so she wants to call Roman but "Steve" says he can't let her do that.

Kristen tells Brady that Chad and Abigail found the portrait stashed in the DiMera Gatehouse and brought it to her because she's one of the only people to have seen Stefano face to face and they got it in their heads that he looks like Steve Johnson now. Brady asks if that's possible. Kristen says she told them it was crazy. Brady brings up Kristen coming back to town as Nicole and being pretty convincing. Kristen says she was desperate and it was so wrong because she hurt so many people. Kristen adds that she will always be grateful that he forgave her. Brady says Kristen showed him her heart when she carried and loved their daughter for nine months. Kristen asks if he's talked to Eric, hoping they would be bone marrow matches for Mackenzie.

Victor tells Justin there is no conspiracy and he's being accused of things he didn't do. Justin says he's just looking for answers and he prays that Ciara is not involved. Victor says Ciara reminds him of her father, impulsive, hard headed and willing to do the wrong thing for the right reason. Victor hopes Ben is long gone so Ciara won't have to deal with him anymore as that would be the best possible ending. Justin points out that Ciara wouldn't agree. Victor feels that Ciara would get over it, relating it to how Justin loved Adrienne but was able to move on with Kayla. Justin notes that he will always love Adrienne but Kayla showed him what it was to live again and now they are very happy together. Victor asks if they're happy even with Steve Johnson back in the picture.

"Steve" warns Kayla that involving John and Roman will only get them killed as they barely made it out of Prague with their lives as he's sure Stefano's goons have orders to kill. "Steve" says that Roman and John are with Marlena in a safehouse. Kayla argues that he needs their help but "Steve" says not this time. Kayla doesn't understand. "Steve" tells her that all she needs to know is that he needs to take Stefano down himself but until he's ready to make his move, he needs a place to stay where no one will think to look which is why he needs her to hide him.

Xander hopes their prayers for a bone marrow donor will be answered. Sarah calls him her hero for being by their side since day one. Sarah gets a text that the results are in. Xander says he'll ask Maggie to look after Mackenzie so they can go to the hospital while Sarah decides to call Eric. Sarah informs Eric that the test results are in so Eric tells her that he will meet her at the hospital. Eric tells Nicole and hopes this is what they have been praying for. Nicole decides she will get a babysitter for Holly so she can go with him because she wants to be there for him.

Brady tells Kristen that he hasn't heard anything yet but he's sure Sarah put a rush on the tests. Kristen says after all she put Eric and Nicole through, she hopes she's the match to save Mackenzie's life to prove she has changed. Brady assures that she has changed and admits he came here because he couldn't stay away.

Ciara tells Ben that she's sorry her nursing skills aren't as good as when he took care of her after her motorcycle accident. Ben argues that she was terrified of being stuck with a serial killer. Ciara suggests they can hide out in a cabin but Ben stops her and insists that if they are found together, she will go to prison and he's not letting that happen. Ciara tells him there is no way in hell that she's leaving him.

Justin assures Victor that Steve is not a threat to his relationship with Kayla. Victor brings up their history. Justin points out that Steve ended thing with her brutally for some supposed other woman. Justin says it's unforgivable and Kayla didn't deserve to be treated that way because she's a wonderful person. Victor acknowledges that Justin really loves her. Justin states that he and Kayla have been blessed with the kind of love he never thought he would find again.

Kayla doesn't like the idea of "Steve" going up against Stefano alone because it's too dangerous. He tells her that it's not her call as there is so much at stake and it's all up to him. He says that John and Marlena have each other while Roman is Kayla's brother while he's free so who cares if something happens to him. Kayla brings up his children and his brother Jack. "Steve" says that Jack still hasn't forgiven him for not attending Adrienne's funeral. Kayla calls that unforgivable but notes that he's the only family Jack has left so there is one person in the world who would care if he died. "Steve" asks what about her and if she would care if something happened to him.

Kristen tells Brady that when their daughter died, she wanted to die herself if not for the nuns taking her in and comforting her. Brady wanted to be the one to comfort her so they could move on together. Kristen thought he just felt obligated and saw her as a burden. Brady tells her that's so far from the truth which Kristen realizes now. Brady then kisses her.

Ben tells Ciara that he loves her too much to put her life at risk as he knows life on the run as a fugitive and he could never do that to her. Ciara repeats that her life is nothing without him so she doesn't care what they do or where they go, as long as she's with him.

Victor is glad Justin found love again as he really felt for him when he lost Adrienne. Justin acknowledges that she was never one of Victor's favorite people. Victor says she made Justin happy and that's what is important. Victor wishes he could've told her that before it was too late. Justin assures that she knew. Victor thinks Adrienne would be grateful that he is now with Kayla. Justin jokes that Victor does have a heart. Victor tells him to go be with Kayla. Justin says he'll see him at home and exits.

Kayla tells "Steve" that she does care because he's the father of her children and she doesn't want to see him end up dead. He hopes it won't come to that. Kayla encourages him to come up with a better, less risky plan. He tells her to trust him as he has to catch Stefano completely off guard and stay out of sight until he's ready to make his move. "Steve" calls Kayla his only hope and asks if she will help him. Justin knocks on the door, asking if Kayla is inside.

Sarah and Xander meet Eric and Nicole at the hospital. Sarah mentions not expecting to see Nicole. Eric says he'll explain later as they get the test results. Sarah opens the results and reads that Xander, Maggie, and Nicole are not a match. Nicole knew it was a long shot and says she's sorry. Xander asks what about Brady and Kristen.

"Steve" hides while Kayla lets Justin in to her office. Justin questions her door being locked. Kayla claims she's working on a report and kept getting interrupted. Justin says he was just checking on Victor. Kayla confirms he's being released tomorrow. Justin suggests they go back home together. Kayla insists she has to work on this report and it may take all night. Justin questions if she can't do it from her laptop at home. Kayla claims that she needs to concentrate and he would be a distraction so she's sorry. She thanks him for understanding. Justin asks if everything is alright. Kayla says it is and she might not get home until the morning. Justin tells her that he loves her and kisses her as he then exits the office. "Steve" comes out and thanks Kayla for coming through for him.

Sarah goes through the test results and discovers that Brady and Kristen are not a match either. Xander says this doesn't mean they stop trying. Eric agrees that they have to keep fighting. Xander hugs Sarah and goes to update Victor. Eric mentions that he knows Brady was really hoping he had a chance to help so he knows he'll be disappointed. Sarah asks if Nicole will be seeing Brady tonight and suggests she break the news to him. Nicole then reveals that she and Brady are not together. Sarah questions when they broke up so Nicole explains that they were never together and they were just trying to keep Kristen away from him but when two people love each other, lies are never the answer. Sarah asks if she's saying Brady and Kristen are back together. Nicole says she doesn't know but sharing grief over losing their little girl has definitely made them close again.

Brady and Kristen continue kissing as Brady says taking things slow will be a challenge for him until Brady's phone rings with a call from Eric. Eric informs him that he and Kristen are not matches. Brady says he'll tell Kristen and he's so sorry. Eric says he is too. Brady encourages that they will keep searching and find a match. Eric thanks them for being tested as they hang up. Brady informs Kristen that they were not matches.

Xander informs Victor that Brady and Kristen were not matches. Victor was sure that one of Mackenzie's biological parents would be a match. Xander says he has to get Tate tested as her half-sibling, he is the best chance she has. Victor brings up Brady getting suspicious about that. Xander admits if he tries agian, it might set off alarms. Victor says they can't have that because nobody can figure out that Brady and Kristen are Mackenzie's parents. Xander agrees but notes that he promised Sarah that he wouldn't let her child die and he intends to keep that promise.

Sarah asks if Nicole and Brady not being together and Nicole and Eric coming in together means what she thinks. Eric confirms that they are back together. Nicole says that Eric somehow found it in his heart to forgive her. Sarah hugs them and says she's so happy for them. Sarah informs them that she has news of her own and announces that she and Xander are in love. Sarah knows they don't like him and he's done horrible things but that's the old Xander and the Xander that she loves has been incredibly supportive and caring. Sarah goes to find Xander so they can go home.

Victor finishes a call with Theresa and informs Xander that Theresa has agreed to have herself and Tate tested because she'd do anything for Maggie. Victor notes that Xander looks like he has something else to tell him that he's not going to like. Xander informs him that Sarah finally admitted she loves him. Xander says that Victor can rain on his parade but this is his dream come true. Victor warns that if Sarah finds out he switched the babies, then she'll never speak to him again. Xander responds that he can't have her find out as Sarah walks in to the room and asks find out what?

Kayla tells "Steve" that she didn't like lying to Justin. He argues that it wasn't a big lie so he's sure their relationship will survive. Kayla suggests that Justin could help him and assures he can be trusted but "Steve" says absolutely not because it would be dangerous for him. Kayla doesn't have a clue where to hide him. He says he needs to get out of the hospital so he asks her to find him some scrubs because Stefano's spies could be anywhere. "Steve" tells her that she really does need to trust him this one time so Kayla goes to find him some scrubs. Stefano then removes his eye patch and deletes Roman's voicemail from Kayla's phone then declares that now she will get him out of here.

Ciara doesn't want to hear another word about Ben taking off without her and tells him to just admit that he needs her. Ben tells her that he loves her and he's too tired and hungry to argue. Ciara admits it's kind of weird to be back in the gatehouse. Ben says they were so happy until they weren't. Ciara assures they will be happy again as she kisses him.

Nicole and Eric go home. Nicole tells him that she's sorry he didn't get better news tonight but before tonight, she thought she lost him forever so miracles do happen and it will happen for Mackenzie too as they hug.

Victor tells Sarah that they weren't talking about anything important. Sarah questions why they look so guilty then and asks Xander what she can't find out about. Xander says he didn't want to say anything as he was hoping to keep it secret but he's arranged to have a playhouse built for Mackenzie in the garden. Sarah points out that she's a baby. Xander insists that she will beat this disease and will grow in to a little girl who needs a playhouse so he wants to make that happen for her. Sarah thanks him and hugs him.

Kristen prays with Brady for God to help them find a donor so Mackenzie can stay alive. Brady calls her amazing. Kristen says she's counting on the power of prayer. Kristen says she wants to be a person that their daughter would love. Brady says he will grieve every day but he's happy that their daughter's love brought them here. Kristen says that's why she does not want to mess this up because being with him is all she ever wanted and that's why they need to take it slowly. Brady agrees to leave and kisses her as he then exits. Kristen looks to the portrait of Stefano and says she doesn't know if he will be reunited with Marlena but she thinks she has a real chance of getting back together with Brady.

Kayla returns to her office with scrubs for "Steve" to put on. Kayla offers to help him put them on so he doesn't pull out his stitches which he agrees to.

Ciara asks Ben if they can just be them for one night and not worry about anything else because she hasn't been this close and alone with him in forever as they kiss.
