Days of Our Lives Update Wednesday 2/5/20

Eli, Gabi, and JJ go to Julie's Place where Julie suggests they have their wedding reception here since they got engaged here. Eli thinks Gabi has it covered. Julie promises to focus on her part of the ceremony and tells them how touched she is that they want her to officiate the wedding. Julie adds that the most wonderful part of their wedding plans is that JJ will be Eli's best man as it does her heart well to see the family getting along so well. JJ thinks back to Lani telling him that Gabi has the power to blow up Julie's heart. Julie talks about it being important for the family to put aside differences to celebrate life and love together. She asks if JJ agrees then sees that he was distracted and asks if something's wrong.

Lani is at JJ's apartment and calls Theo, leaving a message that she assumes no news is good news but she hopes he's making progress on disabling Gabi's app. Lani wants to make sure he gets that Gabi can kill Julie with this app and asks him to call back as soon as he can. Lani then hangs up as there's a knock at the door and it's Kristen.

Brady stands in the town square and thinks back to kissing Kristen. Maggie approaches and comments that he looks happy. Maggie says she's glad she ran in to him as she heard he got tested to be a bone marrow donor and she can't thank him enough. Maggie says she's so worried about Mickie that she can hardly sleep. Brady wishes there was more he could do as he wouldn't wish losing a baby like he and Kristen did on anyone, especially not his brother.

At the Brady Pub, Nicole asks Eric if he's sure he can really forgive her. Eric assures that he loves her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. Nicole is not sure she can forgive herself. Eric decides all that matters is that she told him the truth about his daughter so there's no more looking back and they are all about the future. Nicole says Mackenzie has to be his priority. Eric says she is and so is Nicole as they kiss.

Xander and Sarah kiss in bed. Xander stops to ask if she's sure this is what she wants. Sarah assures that it is as she loves him and not Eric. Sarah says she will keep saying it until he believes it as they continue kissing. Xander calls her perfect and beautiful and says he's dreamed of this moment for so long. Sarah feels guilty for being this happy while Mickie is sick but says this nightmare has taught her to not take anything for granted. They continue kissing until Mickie wakes up crying so Sarah rushes out of bed to go check on her.

Brady informs Maggie that he didn't need to be tested as he was still on the national registry from when Chloe had leukemia. Brady knows it's a long shot for him to be a match, but the more people get tested, the better the odds. Maggie mentions hearing that Kristen got tested as well and calls it incredibly kind of her. Brady agrees so Maggie asks if she's sensing something between them.

Lani lets Kristen in and asks why she's here. Kristen says she wanted to check on her and see if there's any progress. Lani says not since JJ tried to disable the app from Gabi's phone. Lani worried that JJ would screw it up and Gabi would figure out then blow up Julie's heart but Kristen was there to get Gabi out of there. Kristen talks about Gabi was not excited to see her since she interrupted her engagement celebration. Kristen mentions seeing the ring that Eli put on Gabi's finger. Lani declares that this weddin cannot happen which means they have to find a way to neutralize that app and Gabi. Kristen promises they will break the app and Gabi's heart into a million pieces, they just need a plan.

JJ tells Julie that nothing is wrong. Julie knows he's had difficult times lately and they are here for him. JJ assures he has nothing to share and mentions that he is going to his meetings. JJ comments on loving weddings and says he's looking forward to Gabi getting exactly what she deserves. Gabi talks about having to plan the seating chart for the wedding. Julie brings up having a rather unpleasant surprise at her cardiologist appointment. Eli asks if something is wrong with her heart. Julie says nothing is wrong but it's the pacemaker.

Sarah brings Mickie into her room with Xander and says she thinks she just had a nightmare. Sarah wishes Xander could've been in Boston because he has a way of calming them down as they kiss. Sarah is sorry it's not the romantic evening he was probably hoping for. Xander responds that it's everything he ever wanted.

Nicole asks Eric if he wants to go upstairs at the Pub but Eric doesn't think they should do that.

Julie says apparently her pacemaker battery needs replacing. Eli thought doctors said it would be ten years. Julie guesses she's the exception.

Kristen has confidence in Theo but tells Lani they need a plan B. Lani says she doesn't feel so alone with Kristen and JJ. She thanks Kristen for all her help. Kristen calls Lani her dearest and only friend so she wants to pay it forward. Kristen informs Lani that she and Brady might be getting back together. Lani is shocked as she thought he was seeing Nicole. Kristen explains that Nicole lied and talked Brady into going along with it to hurt her but Brady came to his senses and told her the truth because he realized he still has feelings for her. Kristen adds that Brady even kissed her. Lani asks what this means. Kristen doesn't want to get her hopes up too high but says things are really looking up.

Brady tells Maggie that he's been doing nothing but pushing Kristen away since she came back to town and even made her believe that he moved on with Nicole but then they started talking about their daughter, Rachel Isabella, and went to her grave. Maggie knows that must have been devastating. Brady thinks talking about everything that night helped them move forward a bit. Maggie asks how to move forward. Brady asks if she's okay. Maggie cries that she's really not.

Nicole questions Eric not wanting to go upstairs with her. Eric clarifies that he wants to go home with her to their apartment. Nicole gets excited and kisses him as they then exit the Pub together.

Brady asks Maggie to talk to him. Maggie says she gets so upset when thinking about the night he lost his child while Sarah and Eric had their baby since she remembers so little because she was passed out drunk at home. Brady tells her that she's made amends and been sober since. Maggie is just disappointed in herself since she knew Sarah was in labor and needed her but she was so upset about losing her other daughter. Brady understands Summer showing up was shocking and hard for her. Maggie feels it was no excuse since she has no memory of the night after Summer left. Brady encourages her to take it easy on herself. Maggie cries that she failed her daughter when she needed her the most as she got in bed and passed out. Brady asks what if she got behind the wheel and tried to drive herself to the hospital, assuring that getting in bed was the best thing she could've done for Sarah.

Sarah and Xander lay in bed with Mickie. Xander promises that Mickie is going to make it as he's called everyone he can think of to see if they are a match and mentions that Nicole, Brady, and Kristen all agreed to be tested. Sarah mentions that she's a little uneasy about Kristen and Brady being tested which Xander questions.

Kristen repeats to Lani that she doesn't want to get ahead of herself as she wants to get it right. Kristen encourages that they will get Lani and Eli back together again. Lani states that it better happen damn quick because Gabi and Eli are getting married on Valentine's Day. Lani still can't believe Eli loves Gabi enough to go through with marrying her. Kristen assures that he won't.

Gabi tells Julie that she's sorry about her pacemaker and offers to postpone the wedding but Julie insists sticking to Valentine's Day. Julie says this will be a simple procedure and she'll be back on her feet in no time. Gabi asks how they replace the battery. Julie reveals that she will actually be getting a whole new pacemaker. Julie feels like that upset Gabi but she claims she's just worried. Julie promises that she'll be just fine.

Eric and Nicole go home to their apartment. Eric says the place never felt like home until she moved in. She responds that it never felt like home when he moved out. Eric calls her his anchor and says where ever she is will always be his home, as long as they are together like they are now.

Xander questions why Sarah would feel weird about asking Brady and Kristen to get tested. Sarah explains that they lost their baby the night Mickie was born and every time she sees them, she gets a flash of guilt because her daughter survived and theirs didn't. Sarah feels they've been through so much and sacrificed a lot. Xander says it's just getting blood drawn and notes that Kristen was eager to do it as she said she would do anything to spare Sarah having to go through what they did. Sarah recalls when Mickie was born and didn't cry at first while Kristen delivered her baby and thought she was fine until she was gone hours later. Xander says there is no need to relive that night. Sarah responds that she can't help it because it could've easily been the other way around..

Maggie tells Brady that she has to get back to Victor at the hospital. She mentions that Victor has been asking about him. Brady says he went to see him when he had his surgery but it's never enough with Victor. Maggie doesn't understand Victor firing him when he just lost his child and put Xander in his place but she knows they love each other. Maggie declares that if Brady can have a breakthrough with Kristen then she's holding out hope for he and Victor. Brady says maybe. Maggie hugs him and then walks away.

Kristen tells Lani that she works with Gabi almost every day so maybe there's a way she can get her phone. Lani says that won't do any good since Gabi is smart so she's sure she has the app on many devices, worrying that she could just kill Julie. Kristen feels she can't do nothing and asks what she can do to help. Lani suggests praying for her. Kristen toasts to doing whatever it takes to bringing down Gabi. Lani tells Kristen that she's so happy for her and Brady. Kristen says soon they will both be this happy as she then exits.

Julie states that one year ago, she watched Eli's wedding to Lani from a hospital bed and she's glad she wasn't there in person when Lani shattered Eli's heart for the whole world to see so she's going to be front and center to see Eli give his heart to the woman he loves, who is also her life saver. JJ decides he has to go. Julie argues that they haven't even started yet while Gabi asks what's wrong.

Sarah decides to go put Mickie down to sleep but notes that it might take awhile because if she cries, she won't leave her side. Xander assures that he's not going anywhere.

Nicole asks Eric how Mackenzie is. Eric says she is fine but there's no word of a match yet. Eric says he's grateful for everyone who stepped up to get tested like her and Brady. Nicole suggests thanking Xander because he came roaring in to demand Brady get tested. Nicole says she volunteered but notes that Xander really put it to Brady and was so intense that it was a little strange. Eric calls it not strange to him since he does care about Sarah and Mickie. Eric notes that Xander did raise his daughter for her first six months. Nicole points out that Eric and Brady aren't even blood related but Xander was so laser-focused on Brady and made a point that he wanted Tate to get tested which Brady originally opposed. Eric says he and Theresa are first cousins so that makes Mackenzie and Tate second cousins which he knows is a long shot. Nicole says even if Tate was a match, that's a lot on a little boy. Nicole says Xander wanted to cast the widest possible net so who knows how his mind works. Eric stops her and asks why they are talking about Xander. Nicole says that's a good question as they kiss and then head to the bedroom.

Sarah returns to Xander after putting Mickie to sleep. Xander finds one of Mickie's toys in the bed which Sarah notes Eric bought her at the airport. Xander asks how she thinks Eric will react to them being together. Sarah mentions that she told Eric that she wants Xander as part of her life and he knows Mickie needs all the love and support. Sarah says Xander has been there for them since day one. Xander says he always will be. Sarah tells him that she loves him so much as they kiss.

Eric tells Nicole that he's wasted too much time fighting what he feels for her. Nicole feels he has every right to hate her. Eric reminds her that's in the past as he's realized what he's always known, he loves her, he never stopped and never will. Nicole says she loves him too as they kiss and begin to undress.

Brady runs in to Kristen in the town square. Kristen says she's sorry she ran in to him because she doesn't want to push him away.

JJ claims he just remembered he has to go to work so he will catch them later and exits. Gabi suddenly decides she has to go too. Julie and Eli point out they haven't started the seating chart yet or tasted the cake so Eli questions what's going on.

Nicole and Eric continue kissing as they remove their clothes and move in to the bed.

Sarah and Xander lay in bed together. Sarah says it's the first time in a long time that she hasn't felt like her world is crashing down. Xander promises they will find a match for Mickie. Sarah says she's holding him to that. Xander responds that he doesn't make promises he can't keep.

Brady assures Kristen that she won't push him away. Kristen tells him things will be different this time as she thinks they should start low key. Brady suggests a bagel date at the office in the morning which Kristen agrees to as Brady then walks away.

JJ returns to his apartment where Lani asks how wedding planning went. JJ responds that there might not be a wedding. Lani asks if Eli and Gabi broke up. JJ says not yet but he has huge news; Julie has to have her pacemaker replaced so this could be the perfect chance for them to stop this. Lani can't believe it and calls this better than perfect. Lani exclaims that they don't have to do anything as if they take out the pacemaker, Gabi has nothing to work with. JJ says he wouldn't be so sure because Gabi knows about the procedure so she's probably plotting her next move.

Gabi claims she has to call the DJ. Eli says he will take care of it. Julie and Eli go to get the cake samples. Gabi makes a call and says Julie is getting another pacemaker so she needs to make sure she has complete control over this one as well.
