At the prison, Ciara informs Will that she just saw Justin at the hospital and asks about the divorce papers. Ciara tells him that he can't sign them. Will responds that it's too late because he already did. Ciara says he can't file them then. Will says he has to because he and Sonny are never going to get past the fact that he killed his mother. Ciara tells Will that he didn't which he questions. Ciara says she came to tell Will that he's innocent, he did not kill Adrienne.

Last Mother's Day...

Sonny went to Will in the waiting room and hugged him, thanking God that he had him as they cried. Will told Sonny that he needed to tell him something right now. Will informed Sonny that he was at the accident because he caused it. Will declared that it was his fault that Sonny's mother is dead.

Jack was at Jennifer's side at the hospital when JJ came in. Jack mentioned Abigail was getting food. JJ told Jack that he needed to talk to him about Adrienne.

Justin was with Kayla at Adrienne's side. Justin cried that they were supposed to spend the rest of their lives together and asked what he was supposed to do without her.

After having switched Sarah's baby with Brady and Kristen's, Xander brought the baby to Sarah in her hospital room as if it was her own. Sarah said the baby was here in the world because of Xander and thanked him for delivering her. Sarah then commented that she didn't look like she remembered, almost like she was a different baby or something.

Haley entered Kristen's room to inform her that the doctor needed to talk to her. Kristen questioned where her baby was and asked what she wasn't telling her. Haley left to go get the doctor. Kristen got up and followed her out of the room. Kristen stopped Haley and said she wasn't going anywhere until she told her where her baby is. Haley responded that she was just in the ICU and there were complications. Kristen demanded an answer. Haley said she's sorry but she's afraid her baby died. Haley added that the doctors did all they could but her baby is gone. Kristen asked if she knows how long she wanted this child. Haley said she would go find Kayla but Kristen grabbed her, arguing that she was supposed to keep her baby safe. Kristen grabbing Haley shook her and caused Haley's fatal fall down the flight of stairs. Abigail ran to Kristen's side and questioned what she had done.

Sonny questioned Will being the one driving the other car which he confirmed. Sonny argued that was not possible because Will is a good driver and would never do something like that while Sarah said the car was black and Will's is gray. Will argued that she couldn't have been too focused and it was dark. Will said he didn't realize he had drifted into oncoming traffic. Sonny asked how he didn't notice. Will explained that he was distracted by his phone as he was texting. Sonny could not believe his mom was dead because Will ws texting.

Sarah told Xander that her baby just seemed different somehow. Xander blamed it on her just being through so much tonight.

Abigail rushed down the stairs to check on Haley and couldn't find a pulse, questioning what Kristen did to her. Abigail told Kristen to call for help but Kristen walked away in shock while Abigail screamed for help.

Rafe entered Sarah's hospital room and congratulated Sarah on the baby. Rafe mentioned just hearing that Brady and Kristen had their baby too. Rafe said he just wanted to ask Sarah some questions about the accident which she agreed to. Sarah tells him that she was on the phone with Xander on the way to the hospital when out of nowhere, a car veered in to their lane. Rafe asked about the car. Sarah said it was dark and the headlights were in her eyes but she thinks it was a black car. Sarah suggested asking Adrienne if she had a better look. Xander then informed Sarah that he didn't have a chance to tell her..

Justin talked to Kayla about when he proposed to Adrienne on New Year's Eve. Justin said he had to go check on Sonny and call their other kids. Kayla hugged him as he then left the room.

JJ informed Jack of Adrienne's death. Jack couldn't believe his little sister was gone and asked how he would tell Jennifer when she wakes up. Jack decided he needed to see Adrienne while JJ said he would find Abigail and left the room.

Kristen went back to her hospital room where Brady joined her after getting off the phone with John. Brady asked Kristen what was wrong. Kristen told him that Haley wasn't coming back.

JJ found Abigail sitting at the hospital and told her that he had some really bad news. Abigail says she knew because she was there and saw the whole thing so she's so sorry. JJ stopped and questioned what she was talking about. Abigail thought he knew about Haley. JJ demanded an answer. Abigail informed him that Haley was gone which shocked him.

Jack went to see Adrienne's body. Kayla told him she's so sorry. Jack called it impossible and asked about calling Steve. Kayla said she had left him a message. Kayla then got paged to the nurses station and left the room.

Will told Sonny that what he did was so stupid. Sonny questioned what was so important that he couldn't wait until he got home. Will explained that he kept forgetting to send his mom a text for Mother's Day and he wanted to do it before it was too late. Sonny screamed that his mom is dead now because Will was texting his mom since he was too busy to do it earlier. Sonny questioned why Will was so much busier than everyone else and asked who the hell he thought he was. Justin interrupted and questioned what was going on.

Sarah was shocked to hear that Adrienne was dead. Rafe decided he could do the questioning later and left the room. Sarah blamed herself since Adrienne was only on the road because of her. Xander argued that she couldn't know what was going to happen so the only person to blame is the other car. Xander assured that it was not Sarah's fault. Sarah hoped that Rafe finds who did it so they can be held responsible for what they did. Xander then told her that he knew who was driving.

JJ told Abigail that he just saw Haley and they had plans so she must be mistaken. Abigail told him that she was there and saw it as she heard an argument. Abigail explained that she saw Kristen at the top of the stairs and thinks she may have pushed Haley down the stairs but she doesn't know why. Abigail assured they would get all the answers. JJ then rushed off.

Brady asked Kristen if the baby was okay. JJ stormed into the room, calling Kristen a crazy bitch and questioning what she had done.

Justin asked what Sonny and Will were fighting about. Sonny claimed it was nothing but Will said he had a right to know and he would find out. Will hoped Justin knows how much he loved Adrienne. Justin said she loved him like a son and so does he. Will said he wouldn't feel that way after he hears what he has to say.

Sarah questioned how Xander could know who was driving and why he didn't tell Rafe. Xander wanted to discuss it with her in private first. Sarah asked if it was someone she knew. Xander told her that it was her cousin Will. Sarah called that not possible. Xander said he heard him telling JJ. Sarah couldn't believe that Will killed Sonny's mother and called it such a tragedy.

Brady questioned what JJ was doing while JJ asked what Kristen did to Haley. Brady argued that Kristen just gave birth so she couldn't do anything. JJ informed him that Abigail just told him that Kristen pushed Haley down a flight of stairs and she's dead. Brady didn't understand. JJ told Kristen that she would pay for what she did and stormed out of the room.

Kayla told Abigail about Adrienne's death and said Jack was with her now if she wanted to go to her. JJ came over and said he wanted to see Haley to say goodbye. Kayla agreed to take him to her. Abigail told JJ that she just heard about Adrienne. JJ asked her not to tell Jack about Haley because he doesn't want Jack to worry about him. Abigail agreed and they hugged.

Justin questioned Will causing the crash. Will said he didn't see what happened because he was texting but he heard a horn blaring and swerved to the side so he thinks he left his lane and then saw another car had crashed. Will said he then saw Adrienne and Sarah in the car. Will said that Adrienne woke up and told him that another car drove them off the road which is when he knew what he had done. Will told Justin that he was so sorry. Justin shouted that his wife was dead because of him. Sonny suggested Will go now. Will wished it were him instead as he then left the room while Justin hugged Sonny.

Kristen explained to Brady that Haley came in without their baby then she followed her out to the stairs where Haley told her something that upset her and then she fell. Brady asked what she told her. Kristen informed Brady that Haley told her their baby was dead which shocked him. Kristen said something happened but she didn't know what and their baby had died.

Xander told Sarah that he didn't know Adrienne well but he knew she loved her sons so he thinks she would want Sarah to enjoy her new baby. Xander asked about naming the baby. Sarah told him that she was thinking Mackenzie, or Mickie for short, after her adopted father Mickey Horton. Xander called it absolutely perfect while Sarah couldn't wait to tell Maggie.

Brady couldn't understand what happened to their baby and questioned the complications. Brady said it didn't make any sense and decided he would go find out what's going on. Brady told her that he would let her know what he finds out and rushed out of the room while Kristen cried that her baby can't be dead.

Kayla brought JJ in to see Haley's body and told him she was so sorry as she left the room to him. JJ cried that it can't end this way. JJ said she changed everything in his life and made him believe in love again.

Brady returned to Kristen with the baby he thought was theirs so that they could say goodbye and she broke down crying. Rafe entered the room but Brady asked him to come back later. Rafe said he was sorry and would give them time so he left as Brady and Kristen cried over the baby together.

Xander laid with Sarah and the baby, while looking uncertain about what he had done.

JJ cried over Haley's body with the ring he planned to propose with.

Jack, Abigail, and Kayla said their final goodbyes to Adrienne.

Will explained the car crash to Rafe as Sonny and Justin looked on as the flashback comes to an end.

Back in the current present-day at the prison, Ciara informed Will that Maggie was the one who drove Sarah and Adrienne off the road. Ciara declared that Will now knew the whole truth about what happened the night Adrienne died so everyone else needs to know it too.
