In the hospital, Victor argues that Xander should've made Ciara promise to keep their secret. Xander argues that Victor shouldn't have said anything in the first place. Victor says he had no choice as he was about to lose her. Xander says now he might lose everything. Xander brings up the consequences for a lot of people if Ciara speaks. Xander prays that Ciara keeps quiet because if she doesn't, all hell will break loose. Victor says he did everything he could to protect Maggie and now it might all blow up in his face.

Last Mother's Day...

Last year on Mother's Day, Xander delivered Sarah's baby on the side of the road. Sarah talked about how beautiful she was and how she was worried when she wasn't crying. Sarah apologized for saying she didn't want Xander there because thank God he was there. Xander credits her for telling him what to do. Sarah worries about Adrienne. Xander says she should be alright.

Sonny asked how Will knew to come to the hospital and if JJ called him too. Will informed him that he was there when Adrienne had her accident. Sonny asked if he saw what happened. Will said not exactly.

Kristen worried about her baby while Haley tried to encourage her as Brady watched on. Haley and another nurse tried to help Kristen with her birth. Kristen then successfully gave birth to her baby.

Xander brought Sarah and her baby to the hospital. JJ apologized for being unable to take them in the ambulance. Haley came over and commented on there being a lot of babies this Mother's Day. Haley said she needed to take Sarah's baby for a checkup and then she would bring her back. Xander walked off with Sarah while JJ asked Haley if there was any news on Adrienne. Haley said she didn't have any but she was in bad shape. JJ said they were praying for a miracle.

Sonny questioned Will being there but not seeing the accident. Will revealed that he's the one who called 911 but he didn't see it and he doesn't know how to say this. Justin then entered the room to announce that Adrienne had died. Sonny broke down crying as Justin hugged him and Will looked on in shock.

Kristen told Brady that she was sorry he wasn't there when Tate was born. Brady said they didn't have to go there. Kristen talked about when she was a social worker and then everything changed when her first child died so she was so desperate that she stole Tate. Kristen declared that this was everything she ever wanted. Brady encouraged that she would be a wonderful mother while Kristen said their baby would be lucky to have a dad like him. Kristen said she had never been happier than in this moment.

Xander got Sarah in a hospital bed and asked if she was in any pain from the accident. Sarah said she was a little but the doctors said she and the baby would be fine so they can be happy. Sarah commented that Maggie would be so excited then asked where she is since she said she would follow her to the hospital.

Victor sat at Maggie's side in bed at home. Victor said thank God she wasn't hurt and that everything turned out alright.

Sonny talked about how happy and grateful Adrienne was on Mother's Day. Sonny doesn't understand why this happened. Justin mentioned that Kayla said Adrienne passed out and never regained consciousness so she was not in pain. Kayla entered to ask if they wanted to say goodbye. Justin hugged Sonny as he cried and they left the room together as Will watched on.

Sarah asked why Xander was looking at her like that as Xander thought back to finding Maggie passed out in her car. Xander told Sarah that Victor sent him a text that Maggie wasn't feeling well so he decided she should stay home. Sarah questioned that and if something else was going on or if Summer did something. Xander said he didn't know and encouraged that Maggie just needed to sleep and would come see her in the morning. Xander asked if Sarah saw the other car before the accident. Sarah says it was dark and only remembers a black car. Sarah wondered why they hadn't heard anything about Adrienne. Xander decided he would go find out if she promised to get some rest. Xander kissed her on the forehead and left the room. Xander went to the front desk and told Kayla that Sarah was wondering if Adrienne was alright. Kayla informed him that Adrienne's injuries were too massive and she didn't make it. Kayla added that she would be by to see Sarah and the baby as she walked away. Xander called Victor to tell him that Adrienne was dead and he thinks Maggie is the one who killed her.

JJ saw Will at the hospital and asked if he was okay. Will realized JJ didn't know and informed him that Adrienne died and that it's his fault. Victor arrived at the hospital and told Xander that they have to make sure that Maggie never finds out what really happened. Victor and Xander then overheard Will telling JJ that it was him who ran Adrienne off the road and killed her.

Justin and Sonny entered the morgue to say goodbye to Adrienne. Sonny broke down crying asking how this could happen and why she was on the road. Justin explained that Sarah was in labor so she had to take her to the hospital as her last good deed. Sonny argued that Mother's Day was supposed to be perfect for her. Justin hugged Sonny as they broke down crying.

JJ questioned Will saying it was his fault. Will informed him that he didn't just stop by to call 911, he was involved as he was trying to text his mom a Happy Mother's Day message and took his eyes off the road for a second then he saw lights, swerved, and he must have been in the wrong lane because he saw that Adrienne had crashed. JJ pointed out that Sarah said the car was black while Will's car is grey. Will argued that it had to have been him because there were no other cars on the road so he asked who else it could've been. Victor whispered to Xander that it wasn't Maggie, it was Will. Xander explained that Will just didn't see Maggie's car because it went into a ditch so he thinks he killed Adrienne. Victor told Xander that Will was going to keep thinking that because it's best for Maggie if she never knows what happened, so no one will. Xander was unsure but Victor insisted it would kill Maggie. Xander asked about Will because that would be involuntary manslaughter which would mean prison. Victor begged Xander to help him and informed him that it was Summer who sent Maggie over the edge this time, while last time it was him until Xander helped bring her back so he asked him to do it again which Xander agreed to do.

Brady took a picture of Kristen with their baby as Haley came back into the room. Haley took a picture of Kristen and Brady together with the baby. Haley said she had to take Kristen's vitals so Brady stepped out. Haley said it looked like Kristen was doing great and told her to let her know if she felt any cramps. Kristen thanked her for all of her help. Haley said she had to take her baby to the nursery for check ups so she left the room.

Xander told Victor that if the situation at Maggie was handled for now, he would go see Sarah and her baby. Victor decided he would go with him since at least the baby was born healthy. Victor said it's a shame what happened to Adrienne but if Maggie hurt her own grandchild, she'd never be able to live with that.

Justin talked to Sonny about the first time he saw Adrienne as he flashed back to that moment. Justin talked about how strong Adrienne was and said now they need to be.

Victor and Xander went to go see Sarah's baby and found a nurse with her. Xander asked what was going on as he's the father. She told him that the baby seemed to be under some neurological distress. The monitors started beeping so Xander questioned what that was.

JJ went to a waiting room with Will. Will apologized, thinking JJ must hate him right now. JJ said he's in no position to judge and knows what he's going through. Will asked how Sarah and the baby were. JJ said they were fine which Will was relieved to hear. JJ informed Will that they had to tell the police what he told him. Will agreed to do so but said he had to talk to Sonny first.

Sonny asked Justin if he should call his brothers but Justin said they need to hear it from him.

The nurse continued to work on Sarah's baby but then told Xander that she was sorry but after the trauma from the accident, she couldn't do anything..

JJ asked if Will would be okay. Will said he's the last person JJ should be worrying about right now. JJ told him to hang in there and left.

Xander thought the baby was healthy. The nurse said no one could've known and she's sorry. She then left the room to give Xander a moment alone with the baby. Victor, in disbelief, declared that Maggie had killed her own granddaughter. Xander asked how they would tell her. Victor responded that they would not.

Kristen excitedly told Brady that she's a mother and they have a baby girl. Brady told Kristen that he loved her and then left to go call John to let him know.

Xander questioned what Victor meant by not telling Maggie and asked if they would blame Will for this too. Victor looked over at where Kristen and Brady's baby was laying..

Sonny hoped he told Adrienne that he loved her enough and cried about how she was always there for him. Sonny broke down in tears as he said goodbye to Adrienne and Justin did the same.

Haley told JJ that it was a horrible night and now she had to go check the vitals of a woman who just heard the worst news possible. JJ hoped tomorrow would be a better day. Haley said it could be worse as she walked away. JJ pulled out a ring he planned to propose with.

Kayla gave Adrienne's wedding ring to Justin and told him that she was so sorry.

Sonny went to Will in the waiting room and hugged him, thanking God that he had him as they cried. Will told Sonny that he needed to tell him something right now. Will informed Sonny that he was at the accident because he caused it. Will declared that it was his fault that Sonny's mother is dead.

Victor went back home to Maggie's side as she slept and said that when she wakes up tomorrow, she'll have a new granddaughter and hopefully no memory of what happened tonight.

After having switched Sarah's baby with Brady and Kristen's, Xander brought the baby to Sarah in her hospital room as if it was her own.

Brady called John and told him that he had great news.

Haley entered Kristen's room to inform her that the doctor needed to talk to her. Kristen questioned where her baby was and asked what she wasn't telling her. Haley left to go get the doctor. Kristen got up and followed her out of the room. Kristen stopped Haley and said she wasn't going anywhere until she told her where her baby is. Haley responded that she was just in the ICU and there were complications. Kristen demanded an answer. Haley said she's sorry but she's afraid her baby died. Haley added that the doctors did all they could but her baby is gone. Kristen asked if she knows how long she wanted this child. Haley said she would go find Kayla but Kristen grabbed her, arguing that she was supposed to keep her baby safe. Kristen grabbing Haley shook her and caused Haley's fatal fall down the flight of stairs.
