Marlena and John are at the Brady Pub talking about being unable to believe that Jack is the new mayor of Salem. Will and Sonny walk in and join them. Marlena hopes Will has good news from Kayla. Sonny responds that they are not giving up but the first round of radiation did not shrink the tumor. Sonny adds that they also found out some surprising results about what may have caused the tumor. Will reveals he did this to himself.

Kate tells Victor that whatever he needs, he can count on her as they made a great team. Maggie walks in and questions what's going on.

Sarah joins Rex at the hospital. Rex asks where she's been as he's been looking for her to tell her about Will's biopsy. Sarah says she's here now. Rex points out that she didn't answer the question so Sarah admits that she was with Eric.

Eric questions Brady saying Nicole is free of Xander. Brady explains that he arm wrestled him financially into giving Nicole a divorce so it won't be long before that marriage is history. Eric asks how the hell he managed to do that.

Xander opens a bottle of champagne in Nicole's room and questions if she was celebrating their divorce. Nicole responds that she is celebrating - the fact that her plan went off without a hitch. Xander points out it's their plan as she couldn't have done any of this without him, revealing that she was his partner! Xander adds that without his brilliance and determination to get what they deserved, none of this would've happened. Nicole sarcastically praises him as Xander toasts to them.

Sonny tells Will that's not true but Will says it kind of is as he explains to Marlena and John that the serum he took to get his memory back left a trace amount in the tumor. Marlena asks if he's thinking the serum caused the tumor. Sonny calls it a possibility while Marlena assures that doesn't mean it was Will's fault. Will responds that Marlena is right, it's her fault.

Victor tells Maggie that he and Kate were just discussing Titan. Maggie says if it were about Titan then Kate should talk to the CEO, Brady. Kate responds that Brady is the problem. Maggie guesses she's trying to undermine Brady to take her job. Kate informs her that Brady undermined himself by hiring Xander Cook.

Xander and Nicole talk about the champagne and their hotel room. Nicole says she'll be on to bigger and better things because what's the point of coming back from the dead if you're not going to have it all. Nicole declares that this is just the beginning. Xander says he's sad because he hoped handing the recording over would be enough for Brady but nothing ever is so he also had to agree to the divorce. Xander claims they had wonderful times and he was at his happiest as Mr. Nicole Walker. Nicole says Xander did what he had to do for the job at Titan. Xander mocks Brady being qualified for the job and says he'd be a much better CEO. Xander remarks that it will be humiliating to have to answer to Brady. Nicole encourages that all good things come to those who wait and she's living proof of that.

Eric thanks Brady. Brady says Nicole has been through enough without being married to Xander. Brady adds that he'd do anything for Nicole. Eric says the same but he can't because she keeps pushing him away. Eric thinks it might be over for good.

Maggie argues that Brady hates Xander as much as anyone so he would never hire him. Kate assures that he did so she was just telling Victor that she would keep an eye on Xander for him. Kate knows Maggie has been through a lot lately so she should be the least of her worries. Maggie tells her to leave her house.

Will argues that Marlena is a doctor so she should've known what would happen and warned him. Will shouts that she didn't try hard enough and she should've talked him out of it but now he forgot that Holly was dead this morning. Will says that the serum was supposed to give him his memory back but now it's taking it away and it could kill him. John reminds Will that he begged Marlena to give him the serum. Sonny suggests they go and can do this another time since Will has been stresssed. Marlena admits that she shouldn't have suggested this as it's not a good time. Sonny assures that he didn't mean to attack her. Will snaps out of it and asks what they are talking about and what he did.

Rex doesn't get why Sarah wouldn't just tell him that she was with Eric like she didn't want him to know. Sarah didn't want to have to account every minute of her life to him and wants to drop it. She says she just ran into Eric at the Pub and couldn't just ignore him so it made her late. Rex asks if they got along. Sarah says they were fine. Rex knows he had a hard time getting past her and Xander which Sarah doesn't want to talk about. Rex agrees that it's a sensitive subject for all of them. Sarah calls it ancient history which Eric understands but she wishes Xander did. Sarah informs Rex that Xander is back in town which shocks Rex. He questions why she wouldn't say this before. Sarah didn't want to just bring it up. Rex can't believe Xander has the nerve to show his face in town again and asks how she found out. Sarah reveals he made another pass at her.

Xander tells Nicole that he's not a patient man as he wants what he wants. Nicole tells him to get a hold of himself and calls him a pain in the ass without a friend in the world. Xander then kisses Nicole. Nicole tells him not to touch her and says he repulses her so she can't wait to divorce him. Xander jokes that he is bigger and better things. Nicole calls him delusional and tells him to keep himself in line or she'll screw things up for him at Titan. Nicole adds that she doesn't feel loyal to him. Xander reminds her of all he's done for her. Nicole promises that he'll be out of Titan if he doesn't keep himself in line. Xander says it's her loss because he would rock her world. Xander jokes that he's made some women very happy like Sarah Horton.

Rex can't believe Xander would do that. Sarah assures nothing happened and it's over so there is no point in confronting him. Rex declares that he's going to punch him in the face. Sarah stops him and reveals that Eric already did that.

Brady tells Eric that he's sorry about he and Nicole as he really wanted to make amends with both of them. Eric says they are good as it's clear that Brady is the only one Nicole will talk to or listen to. Brady blames her grief. Eric worries that it could get worse before it gets better as Nicole has to face the funeral tomorrow. Eric wants to be there but he doesn't want to make it worse. Brady asks what it will do to him if he doesn't go since he knows how much Eric cared about Holly. Eric asks Brady to go back to the Salem Inn to try talking to Nicole one more time.

Nicole mocks Xander bragging about his sexual conquests. Xander says she is getting on his nerves. Nicole responds that he's been on hers since the first day she saw him. Nicole laughs at Sarah as his sexual conquest while Xander laughs at Daniel and Eric for her. Nicole responds that Eric is history and laughs about acting sad. Nicole declares that she doesn't actually give a damn about Eric as she laughs.

Will questions what he did. Sonny explains that he just blamed Marlena for the tumor. Will says he wouldn't do that and doesn't think that. Will then realizes he did and says that was so mean and unfair. Will apologizes. Marlena assures that it's okay and they will get to the bottom of what's going on. Will relates to when he forgot about Holly in the morning. Sonny thinks they should go back to the hospital which Marlena agrees with. Will tells Marlena that he's sorry, he loves her and he needs her. Marlena assures they will sort it out together and decides they will go with them to the hospital. Sonny encourages they will get through it together. Will admits he's scared as they exit the Pub.

Brady agrees to talk to Nicole again about Eric but he doesn't think it's the right time since she's really raw. Eric asks if he thinks he should go to the funeral which Brady does. Brady states that Nicole is upset now but he thinks deep down she knows how much he cared for Holly. Brady thinks someday it will be important to her that he was there. Eric says it's not about him but he prays Nicole can get through tomorrow, saying goodbye to her daughter.

Xander questions Nicole laughing at a child's funeral. Nicole responds that it's not like she's really dead. Nicole complains about how exhausting all her weeping was so this is her comic relief. Nicole states that acting miserable can make her feel miserable so she was so happy to rip into Eric. Nicole agrees with Xander that Eric is a wimp with no backbone. Nicole questions Eric not standing by his decision to give Holly to Chloe and says she would respect him more instead of crying for forgiveness. Nicole declares as far as she's concerned, Sarah can have Eric.

Rex finishes a call with Sonny and tells Sarah that he's bringing Will back in after another memory lapse and an apparent personality change. Rex says he has to call Kayla while Sarah says she will notify a medic. Rex remembers that he promised Kate he would keep her posted on Will so Sarah says she'll take care of it and walks away. Rex then calls Kayla.

Kate tells Maggie that this is Victor's home and he asked her to be here. Maggie tells her to leave and tells Victor that they can meet at the office to conduct business because Kate is not welcome in her home. Kate points out that it's Victor's home too. Maggie repeats for her to leave now. Kate thinks they need to get past this. Maggie says she is done with her. Kate reminds her that her son is marrying Maggie's daughter. Maggie calls that unfortunate and the worst mistake that Sarah has ever made. Maggie doesn't know what has happened to her self respect as she tolerates Rex's horrible behavior. Kate guesses she's still upset about Holly so she will go. Maggie tells her to stay gone. Kate tells Victor that she will be in touch as she exits. Maggie insists to Victor that this can't happen again as Kate is up to something. Maggie tells Victor not to act naive and treat her like she's stupid. Victor knows Kate is after Brady's job while Maggie feels Kate is after Victor.

Sonny, John, and Marlena bring Will to the hospital where Kate joins them and they get Will in a hospital bed in a room with Rex and Sarah. Sonny explains how Will got furious with Marlena and then didn't remember what happened. Will assures that he knows Marlena is not to blame and it's all on him. Marlena tells him not to worry about this. Rex tells Will that Kayla agreed that they need another radiation treatment and they are hopeful that if they shrink the tumor, the side effects will clear up. Marlena suggests a chemical in the tumor could release the key to all of this. John notes that the FDA won't release the drug which Rex says he will keep onto them about. Kate brings up that Dr. Rolf was Rex's mentor and asks if there is any chance he worked on the serum with him. Rex says not that he knows of since Rolf was very secretive. Rex brings up Kayla seeing the parallel in the biopsy while he didn't see it in the report. Rex agrees to go back to his notes from when he worked with Dr. Rolf since he'll know what to look for now. Sarah suggests letting Will rest so everyone but Sonny exits the room. Will tells Sonny that he's tired so he'll see him in the morning but Sonny declares he's not going anywhere since as long as Will is here, so is he.

Victor tells Maggie that he knows she's upset and that he acts like a jerk a lot but he doesn't think Kate is interested in him. Maggie asks why Kate is there every time she turns around. Victor feels it doesn't matter. Maggie argues that she came to tell Victor that her granddaughter had died and he refused to come home with her, choosing to have a drink with Kate instead. Victor is sorry about that. Maggie wants him to promise her that he will stay away from Kate. Victor responds that he can't because Brady hired Xander so Titan could go up in flames while Kate is the only one he can trust so he has to talk to her. Maggie urges him to talk to Brady and tell him to fire Xander. Victor explains that he won't because if Brady didn't hire Xander then Xander was going to turn Nicole in for Deimos' murder though he can't figure out why Brady thinks Nicole would need him. Victor remarks that Nicole could beat Xander in a bare knuckle fight to the death.

Nicole tells Xander that he can go ahead and open the other bottle of champagne so she can look haggard tomorrow, joking about coming back from the dead. Xander remarks that he's a much better fit for Sarah than Eric. Nicole questions going back there again. Xander felt a real connection and chemistry with Sarah so he believes if Eric hadn't walked in on them the next morning then there would've been another round. Nicole doesn't want him to elaborate but she was surprised Eric moved on so quickly after losing the love of his life. Nicole calls Eric a phony which means she gets to move on too. Xander guesses she won't try couples therapy. Nicole realizes that Xander wants her to get Eric out of the picture so he can have Sarah all to himself. Nicole reminds him that Sarah is engaged to Rex. Xander says that Eric is the real competition as when he walked in on them in bed, Eric wanted to take his head off while Sarah looked like she was into him. Xander declares that Sarah may be engaged to Rex but she wants Eric.

Sarah goes home with Rex and talks about not knowing how Nicole, Chloe, and Maggie will get through the funeral. Sarah doesn't think Victor will be any help to Maggie at all. Rex encourages that Sarah will be there for her. Rex says she can look after Maggie while he looks after her and they will all get through it. Sarah and Rex then kiss until Eric walks in.

Maggie cries over a picture of Holly. She then looks in the trash can and finds the smashed statue that Claire broke. Maggie grabs her phone and calls Kate, accusing her of smashing the figurine and leaving it where she would find the pieces. Kate questions why she would do that. Maggie cries that she did it to hurt her like she does everything else. Kate argues that she's not making sense and is losing control. Kate says she doesn't have time for this as Will is back in the hospital. Maggie asks what happened to Will. Kate responds that he had a setback and Maggie isn't the only one who has problems as she hangs up. Maggie then goes over to the alcohol again.

Nicole tells Xander that he can go now as tomorrow is going to be endless grief on parade. Nicole suggests Maggie can provide them with some excitement as she saw her flirting with a vodka bottle so maybe she'll make a drunken spectacle of herself. Nicole remarks that it'd be nice to have something to look forward to.

Maggie opens a bottle but Brady walks in and asks if she's alright. Maggie shows him the figurine statue and declares that everything is broken as he hugs her.

Will asks Sonny what is happening to him as he's forgetting things and yelled at Marlena like he's not himself anymore. Sonny encourages that it's the tumor. Will asks what if they can't fix it and it's just how it is going to be. Sonny assures that they will get through this but right now he should sleep. Will thanks him for staying as Sonny says there is no where else he'd rather be and lays with him.

John hopes Rex can find something in his old files. Marlena admits she's not holding out much hope and asks why there would be anything about the serum in those notes. Marlena declares that they need Dr. Rolf's diary because that's where the formula is. John says that's easier said than done. Marlena can't imagine why it would just disappear. John responds that he knows he can find the diary.

Rex thanks Eric for punching Xander and looking after Sarah, hoping now Xander will leave her alone. Eric says he was bothering Nicole too but thanks to Brady, she's getting a divorce so she won't ever have to deal with Xander ever again.

Nicole tells Xander the fun is over so he agrees to leave. Xander reminds her that they are partners for the long haul. Xander suggests a goodbye kiss since they are married for a little bit longer but Nicole gives him a handshake instead. Xander then exits as Kate walks up and wonders what the hell is going on. Nicole exclaims to herself that she likes it when everything works out as she planned.
