Bonnie Lockhart waits in the interrogation room at the police station and thinks back to her one phone call where she asked someone for a big favor. She worries about getting sent back to prison if they don't get here. A cop comes in to tell her she has a visitor but it's Maggie who says she is here to give Bonnie a piece of her mind.

Adrienne finds Sonny asleep on the couch in the living room of the Kiriakis Mansion and wakes him up. She thought he'd be at the hospital with Will. Sonny says he was but Paul was going to be in surgery for hours so he didn't want to be in the way. Sonny gets a text from Will that Paul is out of surgery. Sonny texts back to keep him posted.

Chloe and Lucas arrive at the hospital and ask Will about Paul. Will says he's finally out of surgery but he's asleep and they are only letting family see him right now. Lucas encourages that Paul is strong and has a lot of people that love him, especially Will.

Brady and Belle are in Paul's hospital room. Brady mentions there being no internal bleeding so Paul is lucky. Belle comments that Paul risked his life to save Sami with zero regard for his own safety. They agree there is no doubt that he is John's son. Belle remarks that yesterday was supposed to be one of the happiest days of John's life but now today is one of the worst.

John sits at Marlena's bed side and tells her about Paul being out of surgery and they think he's going to make it. John says that's what he wants Marlena to do right now. Eric enters the room and offers John food but he's not hungry and says he only needs for Marlena to live and open her eyes. John doesn't understand how any of this could have happened.

Belle feels like she should go check on Marlena but she knows she would want them to stay with Paul so that John knows he's not alone. Belle asks how Eve is. Brady says she's better after being shaken up. Brady decides he will go check on her and exits while Belle remains at Paul's side.

John apologizes to Eric for snapping at him. Eric says he has nothing to apologize for. Eric asks if Valerie had any update this morning. John tells him there hasn't been any change. Eric says all that matters right now is that Marlena is still breathing. John responds that the machine is breathing for her. Eric points out that she's still alive so they need to focus on that and to let her know that they are there and they love her. John tells Marlena that they are here and waiting for her to open her eyes.

Adrienne points out that she saw Sonny text "I love you" to Will so she asks if something has changed from Will keeping him at arms length. Sonny informs her that they talked about how amazing things were and about their problems. Sonny declares that Will really loves him and wants to be with him. Adrienne tells him she's so happy for him and calls it the best news. Sonny still can't believe it's happening as it's everything he's been waiting for and a second chance to get it right. Sonny says it's just the timing because Paul is such a good guy and he could've died Sami's life. Sonny adds that Paul loves Will so much but Will is going to have to break his heart. Adrienne says her heart breaks for them and compares it to having to tell Lucas that she loved Justin. Sonny says she made the right decision while Adrienne says so did Will. Adrienne comments on Susan. Sonny promises she'll be gone soon. Adrienne has that hope for Bonnie as well since she will sleep easier when she's behind bars and not hurting their family ever again.

Bonnie tells Maggie that Adrienne already raked over the coals so she can have her turn after she almost stole Victor from her. Maggie responds that she was never a threat to her marriage and they laughed at her and got rid of her so now she's going back to prison where she belongs. Bonnie asks why she's here. Maggie tells her it's the hell she put Lucas through.

Chloe gets a call from Julie and steps away to answer. Will tells Lucas that they look nice together and asks if it's serious. Lucas says it's nice and calls Chloe the calm in the middle of every storm. Lucas asks if Will slept at all last night. Will admits it was hard to in the hospital as he's been in between Paul's room and Marlena's room. Lucas calls this the most outrageous thing Sami has done. Will blames it all on Kristen and says she would've killed Sami if not for Paul. Lucas notes that Paul has a hell of a heart so it's no wonder Will loves him. Lucas comments on being his dad even if he doesn't remember. Will then brings up memories from their past, revealing to Lucas that he remembers everything. Lucas excitedly hugs him.

Bonnie tells Maggie that all she did to Lucas was what Anjelica told her to so she was a victim too. Bonnie argues that she would've done everything in her power to make amends if she wasn't on the run because she will never understand how Adrienne could dump Lucas. Maggie warns her not to pretend to care about Lucas when she nearly destroyed him. Bonnie complains that she didn't want to as he was just collateral damage and she's so sorry for what she did. Bonnie swears she's not that woman anymore but Maggie doesn't believe her. Bonnie asks her to convince Lucas to come see her so she can tell him just how sorry she is for everything.

Lucas questions Will waiting to tell him that he got his memory back. Will explains that it just happened at Marlena's wedding as all of a sudden these memories started flooding back. Will says that includes how much he loves him. Lucas hugs him and tells him how much he loves him. Lucas asks if he's told Sami yet. Will says not yet as he's told Eric, Brady, and Sonny. Lucas questions telling Sonny and if that means he remembers loving him which Will confirms including still being in love with him. Lucas gets that is why he's hesitant about Paul. Will explains that he and Sonny want to be together and to be a family with Arianna but he doesn't know how to break it to Paul now that he's in the hospital after saving his mom's life. Will notes that Brady thinks he's a monster and maybe he's right.

John tells Eric that he hasn't stopped praying since Marlena got shot but he's beginning to wonder if God is even listening to him. Eric encourages him to never doubt that. John agrees that this is the time they need their faith the most. John feels he may listen to Eric a little bit more so Eric begins to pray.

Sonny brings up how Bonnie was after Victor on the day of he and Paul's wedding so he should've known something was wrong. Adrienne advises that he needs to go to the hospital to be with Will. Sonny says he would love to but Will wants to do this on his own and he gets that. Sonny assures that Will is going to find the right words to let Paul down gently.

Will tells Lucas that he loves Paul but he's in love with Sonny. Will brings up that Paul saved Sami's life so he wonders if he owes him or has an obligation to stay with him. Lucas doesn't think that would work. Lucas compares it to his situation with Adrienne when she was in love with Justin. Lucas wouldn't want her to be with him if her heart wasn't in it. Lucas advises him to be honest. Lucas knows it will be difficult in the beginning.

Belle goes over paperwork while in Paul's hospital room. She goes back to Paul's side and tells him that John is really proud of him. Belle comments that he has such a good heart and so much courage. Belle adds that if anyone should be in this bed it should be Sami since it's all her fault. Belle blames Sami for Marlena clinging to life. Belle goes back over her paper work and comes across a paper that worries her.

Will agrees with Lucas that he should be honest with Paul. Lucas advises him to follow his heart and it will never let him down even if it is the hardest thing. Lucas says if he would've followed his heart, maybe he would've realized when Bonnie replaced Adrienne.

Bonnie tries to leave the interrogation room but a cop is guarding the door. She claims she's not trying to escape and asks if she's sure there is no one here to see her. She says it looks like she's out of luck and shuts the door. Bonnie complains about the person she called not coming through for her.

Maggie goes to the hospital and asks Chloe and Lucas how Marlena and Paul are. Chloe tells her that she just spoke to Brady and he said Marlena is suffering from septic shock so she's on a ventilator. Maggie hopes Paul's outlook is brighter. Lucas thinks Will went to check on him but he made it through surgery which Maggie is glad to hear. Lucas decides he should go check on Marlena but Maggie stops him and informs him that she just came from seeing Bonnie at the police department which they question. Maggie wanted Bonnie to own what she did to Lucas and to understand that her actions led him to drink again. Lucas responds that he can take responsibility for his own behavior so it's his own fault. Maggie informs him that Bonnie says she regrets hurting him and she wants to apologize in person so she agreed to relay the message but she suggests Lucas keep his distance. Lucas decides maybe it will do them both good but Maggie points out that Bonnie doesn't have a conscience. Chloe offers to go with him but Lucas says he'll be fine and he'll handle it quick so he exits the hospital.

Belle stares at the paper and says this can't be. Will enters the room and asks if he can sit with Paul. Belle appreciates that as she needs to go see Marlena so she exits.

Brady enters Marlena's room as John talks about all the times they cheated death and now they are down to a machine keeping Marlena alive. Eric encourages him to believe that their prayers will be answered. Brady and Eric try to convince John to go clean up and shower but John refuses to leave Marlena. Eric assures that he will be right there with her so John agrees to go and exits with Brady. Eric sits at Marlena's side and cries that she has to come back to them. Belle enters the room and asks if there have been any changes. Eric says no but Brady convinced John to get cleaned up. Belle can't believe Marlena was awake and talking yesterday. Belle asks Eric to check when the specialist will be coming so Eric exits to go make call to find out. Belle sits at Marlena's side and says there are so many things she wishes they would've talked about so she hopes there is still time.

Adrienne offers to make Sonny breakfast. Sonny thanks her but just wants to wait. She tells him she loves him and she's so happy for he and Will. Adrienne decides she will go to work since there is a lot of news going around. Adrienne brings up that Bonnie actually asked her to help her escape and thought she should be grateful like she had anything to do with Adrienne and Justin reconciling. Sonny blames Bonnie for Lucas drinking again and Adrienne being in prison for months. Adrienne says it's all about karma now and she hopes it bites Bonnie.

Bonnie continues waiting in the interrogation room until Lucas shows up. She questions what he's doing here. Lucas says that Maggie told him she wanted to see him. Bonnie didn't think he'd actually come. Lucas tells her to say what she has to say. Lucas tells her that he's sober now and stronger than he's ever been thanks to his family and friends. Bonnie asks if there's any chance he will forgive her. Lucas responds that forgiving those who wronged him is part of his recovery so he forgives her. Bonnie is so glad to hear him say that because she really needs his help.

Will sits at Paul's side and calls him a crazy brave man who is kind, generous, and loving. Will hopes Paul knows how much he means to him. Paul then wakes up and asks where he is. Will informs him that he's in the hospital after having surgery and asks how he feels. Paul remembers falling out of a window. Paul asks if Sami is okay. Will tells him that she is alive thanks to him. Will starts to hold his hand but pulls away. Paul comments that it was no big deal but Will says he risked his life to save his mom so it is a big deal. Paul calls Sami the mother of the man he loves. Will says there will be so many people happy to hear that he is awake so he's going to tell them but Paul asks him not to go because it helps to have him here. Paul says he's just trying to remember all that happened because it's all kind of hazy. Will asks what he does remember. Paul responds that he loves him and that Will had something very important to tell him so he asks what it is.

Lucas questions Bonnie wanting his help. Bonnie says she's not nearly as guilty of some things as people think she is and she cannot go back to prison so she hoped maybe he could help her. Lucas questions if that's why she apologized, to rope him into helping her. Lucas asks why the hell she would ever think he would help her stay out of prison. Bonnie responds claiming to be the mother of his child.

Adrienne tells Sonny that's enough about Bonnie and to focus on happy things like he, Will, and Arianna being a family again. Sonny wishes he could do that without breaking Paul's heart since the last thing he wants is for Paul to get hurt.

Will tells Paul that he just got out of surgery so what he had to say can wait. Paul insists that he's fine and wants to hear whatever it is. Will says it's good news and reveals he got his memory back. Paul calls that amazing and asks how and when it happened. Will informs him it was at the wedding during his speech as he had one memory and then more and they all came rushing back. Paul realizes that's why he left. Will admits it was a lot to process and he wanted to tell him but then Marlena got shot and then he had to be a hero so there wasn't a great time to break the news. Paul comments that people don't usually break good news. Will calls it a figure of speech. Paul asks about him remembering loving Sonny which he confirms. Will adds that he remembers his life with Sonny and how much he loved him. Paul asks what that means for them.

Belle cries at Marlena's side that it wasn't supposed to be like this. Eric returns to the room and informs her that the specialist was delayed so it's a good thing Valerie got the ventilator on Marlena when she did since it bought time and lets the doctors do everything possible to keep her alive. Belle reveals the problem is they can't let them do that as she shows Eric the paper she found.
