Tripp comes home from work to the loft and invites Ciara to the lake. Ciara says it sounds great but she wants to wait a little while. Ben then comes out from the shower, leaving Tripp shocked and questioning what the hell this is.

Marlena invites Claire to join her for coffee in the town square which she accepts. Marlena asks how everything is going for her. Claire says it's really good and she's psyched for their wedding. Marlena is pleased that she is singing for them which Claire calls a dream come true. Marlena admits to being excited and nervous. Claire thinks it's the most romantic thing that she's getting married again. Marlena feels so lucky to be marrying the man she loves for a second time.

John and Steve go to the Brady Pub, talking about wedding preparations. They talk about how they both first got married in the 80s. John asks how it went when he asked about what he overheard Kayla telling Jennifer. Steve tells him that she had an explanation but he's not sure he believes it.

Stefan shows up at Kayla's office. Kayla asks what he wants from her. Stefan tells her he does want something and this time he's not leaving without it.

At the Kiriakis Mansion, Abigail finishes a call with Jennifer as Chad enters the living room. Chad checks the market on his tablet. Abigail brings up that she felt like he was going to kiss her earlier before Gabi interrupted them and asks if she's wrong.

Rafe brings Hope into the interrogation room like he has to show her something and then kisses her. Rafe tells her how great it was to spend the night with her last night. Rafe wishes he could spend the whole day with her. Hope brings up them having a day off in two weeks and no plans. Rafe tells her she does now as they kiss.

Chad tells Abigail that she wasn't wrong but he just needs a little bit more time. Abigail agrees not to push as Gabi listens from outside the room.

Stefan wants Abigail's blood work. Kayla says if Abigail wants him to know the test results, she'll share them with him. Stefan warns that this isn't a request and he wants the test results now. Stefan argues that he has every right as the father of Abigail's child. Stefan reminds Kayla that he can make Steve blind at any time since he controls the Bionic Eye. Kayla questions why he wants the results when it's just a bunch of numbers. Stefan claims he's not trying to hurt anyone but trying to make sure his child is healthy. Kayla informs him that Abigail's pregnancy is progressing normally and asks if they are done. Stefan wants an ultrasound photo. Kayla asks why he needs anything else. Stefan wants to know if it's a boy or girl or if something goes wrong. Kayla tells him that Chad and Abigail will deal with it. Stefan remarks that Chad can't deal with the pregnancy now as he walked out on his wife and child. Stefan thought he would at least stick around for his son. Stefan tells her not to think of this as a betrayal of Abigail but as protecting Steve. Stefan states that her life will be a lot easier if she does exactly what he tells her to do.

Steve explains to John that he asked Kayla and she said Jennifer confided in her so she couldn't tell him what it was about. John thinks it sounds reasonable but Steve doesn't think it's the truth. Steve feels it didn't sound like it was about Jennifer or Abigail but about her. Steve repeats that what Kayla said was "if Steve ever found out, I'm afraid of what would happen." Steve admits he's worried as he thinks something is really wrong but his wife won't tell him what it is.

Marlena tells Claire that John told her about their conversation and it sounded like things aren't really fine at the loft. Claire wants to focus on her wedding. Marlena says she can also focus on her. Claire admits it's about Ciara being totally hung up on Ben Weston but she won't admit it. Marlena asks if she's sure about that. Claire argues that Ciara is pushing Tripp away because she would rather hang out with a serial killer. Claire says she's worried about Ciara and about Tripp because Ciara treats him like trash but he still follows her around and he doesn't even look at her anymore. Claire knows she should back off and start dating again but she can't get over Tripp especially when she sees him so often. Claire decides she should be glad that Ben keeps showing up because if he kills them all then she won't have to worry. Marlena tells her not to joke like that. Claire says she's not joking as everyone is scared of him except Ciara, who refuses to accept that Ben started the fire in the cabin. Marlena responds that she doesn't believe that.

Ben greets Tripp and apologizes to Ciara for using the rest of her shampoo. Tripp mocks Ben making himself at home. Ciara explains that Ben had been staying at a homeless shelter but they are overcrowded and kicked him out this morning so she let him clean up here. Tripp suggests he get dressed and get the hell out then.

Abigail doesn't want to pressure Chad but just wants them to keep talking. Abigail tells him to do whatever he needs to do. Abigail adds that he can let her know if he wants to see Thomas. Chad suggests tomorrow. Gabi continues listening from outside the door. Abigail mentions needing to check Thomas's preschool calendar. Gabi walks in interrupting again then apologizes for not realizing Abigail was still there. Gabi informs Chad that Arianna wants him to jump on the trampoline with her. Chad acknowledges that he promised to do that so he exits. Gabi tells Abigail that she's sorry for not realizing they were in here or she wouldn't have interrupted. Abigail is glad things are going well for her and Arianna. Gabi asks if they are okay. Abigail says she's just hormonal and emotional but she knows Gabi is a good friend. Gabi swears she wants them to work things out and she will do her best to make sure Chad moves back home with her. Abigail says she will take all the help she can get and tells Gabi to take care as she exits.

Stefan tells Kayla to just give him Abigail's complete medical records but Kayla refuses as that is a huge ethical breach. Stefan brings up her breaking the rules to protect someone she cares about. Kayla wants to protect Abigail from him. Stefan claims he's just trying to make sure his child gets the best possible care. Kayla assures it's a completely normal pregnancy. Stefan worries about Abigail's mental health and the medications that she is on. Kayla assures that they are all safe. Stefan remarks that if anything with her medication changes, the choice will have to be made to keep Abigail sane or keep his child safe. Stefan is sure the worst thing for Kayla would be if "Gabby" comes back, which she assures won't happen. Stefan claims it's all about his child getting the best medical care. Kayla gives in and gives him Abigail's complete file. Stefan says he's satisfied for now but he'll be back as he exits.

John suggests Kayla could be trying to protect Steve. John brings up the last time he lied to Marlena was when he was trying to protect him and he didn't want to get her involved so he lied to keep her out of danger. Steve asks if he thinks Kayla could be in danger and decides that's more reason he needs to find out what's going on. Steve says he will ask Kayla one more time and if that doesn't work, he'll do whatever he has to in order to get the truth.

Marlena talks to Claire about believing people can change which Ben is trying so hard to do. Marlena thinks they have to give Ben credit for that. Claire says if Ben is such a great guy then maybe Ciara should just be with him. Marlena says that's not what she was saying but Claire says it would be perfect because then Tripp could be with her. Claire hugs her and thanks her as she rushes off.

Ben apologizes to Tripp for overstepping and decides he will leave. Ciara stops him and says he could grab something to eat before he goes. Tripp offers him a box of cereal off the counter. Ciara asks why he's being so harsh. Tripp complains about a serial killer being in his living room. Ciara tells him to stop calling Ben that and he doesn't get the only say. Ben goes to get dressed. Ciara tells Tripp that if she wants to have Ben over, it's her choice. Tripp argues that Ben can get his own place and job but Ciara says it's not that easy. Ciara argues that Ben is trying to make up for what he's done but he can't when people like Tripp and Hope won't give him a second chance. Ciara guesses Hope got Ben kicked out of the homeless shelter. Tripp says it sounds like the right idea. Ciara knows what Ben has done but that doesn't mean he's not a worthwhile person and he would never hurt her. Ciara brings up Ben saving her life and now they know the fire wasn't his fault from Marlena while everyone else is determined to see the worst in him. Tripp questions why she's determined to see the best in him. Ben comes back in and says they can quit fighting now as he's leaving. Ciara asks where he's going to go. Ben tells her not to worry but Ciara exclaims that he can stay here.

Rafe and Hope continue kissing until Hope says they shouldn't be doing this at work but they continue anyways until Abe walks in. Abe guesses this means they are back together which Hope confirms. Hope promises it's the last time they do that at work. Abe agrees to look the other way as he's happy for them both. Hope apologizes and asks what they can do for him. Abe brings up closing the Ben Weston case. Hope says it looked like they would never find enough evidence. Abe worries about the public anxiety. Hope says she made it clear to Ben that she would reopen the case if he didn't leave town for good so there is nothing to worry about. Abe is not so sure about that as he's been keeping tabs on Ben. Rafe asks what he's saying. Abe reveals he was in town at a homeless shelter last night so he could still be there today. Abe tells them to stay in touch as he exits. Hope worries that Ben has gone back on their deal.

Tripp questions Ciara asking Ben to move in with them. Ciara says it's not forever and only until he finds a place. Ben tells her she doesn't have to. Tripp tells him to shut up. Ciara tells Tripp not to talk to Ben like that. Tripp says he is not okay with Ben staying here and he knows Claire won't be either. Claire then walks in and asks what's going on. Tripp asks Claire how she would feel if Ben moved in with them.

Chad returns to Gabi in the living room and says the guy that he had watching Ben Weston just checked in to tell him he left the homeless shelter so he's leaving town for good because no one else will take him in. Gabi calls it one last thing to worry about. Chad mentions Arianna taking a nap and he might be taking one too. Gabi thanks him for spending time with Arianna. Gabi apologizes for pulling him away from Abigail. Chad says it's okay as she was leaving. Gabi thinks they upset her more than she already was. Chad asks why. Gabi claims that Abigail told her she thought Chad was more interested in spending time with Arianna than Thomas. Chad questions her saying that and says it doesn't make sense. Gabi says she shouldn't have told him but Chad says it's not her fault and he's glad she did.

Stefan is sitting outside going through Abigail's medical records when he comes across the ultrasound photo. Abigail then walks up and asks what he's looking at.

Steve goes to Kayla's office and brings her lunch. Steve asks if she's alright. Kayla claims she's just worried about a patient. Steve asks how things went with Stefan. Kayla asks what he means. Steve guesses he wasn't really there to make a donation to the neo natal ICU. Kayla says he was. Steve asks if he wasn't hassling her about Abigail's pregnancy. Kayla claims that he wasn't at all. Steve adds that if he was, he'd help her in any way he can. Kayla knows he would do anything for her. Steve asks if Kayla would tell him if she's in trouble.

Stefan tells Abigail that it's DiMera business and nothing she would be interested in. Abigail questions why he closed the folder so fast. Stefan claims it's a prototype they are working on and he doesn't need her sharing it with the CEO of Titan. Abigail tells him that he doesn't need to worry about that as Chad hasn't come home yet. Stefan says he was just trying to feel his baby move and had no idea Chad would walk in. Abigail assures that Chad will come around in time. Stefan asks if she really believes that.

Chad doesn't understand since Abigail knows how much he misses Thomas. Gabi guesses it's just her hormones talking. Chad doesn't know how he will get past all of this.

Rafe finishes a call and informs Hope that Ben left the homeless shelter this morning. Hope guesses he left town as Rafe points out he had nowhere else to go.

Tripp explains to Claire that Ciara invited Ben to stay without asking her roommates if they had any problem leaving with a serial killer. Ciara argues that he's not being fair. Tripp suggests putting it to a vote and questions why Claire would want Ben here. Ciara asks Claire not to punish Ben for something he didn't do and she points out that even Marlena is convinced he didn't set the fire. Ciara adds that Claire owes Ben for hitting him with a frying pan and he didn't press charges which has to count for something. Tripp calls it self defense and decides he's done with this. Tripp declares there is no way that Claire will go along with this.

John joins Marlena in the town square. Marlena mentions Claire taking off rather suddenly. John suggests she needs to practice her song for their wedding as he kisses her. Abe approaches and informs them that he cleared the town square for their ceremony. They thank him and Marlena says they are so excited for this. Abe mentions Belle coming back for this. John confirms that Belle and Shawn are coming all the way from Hong Kong. Abe calls it wonderful that all the Blacks and Bradys will be together again. Marlena clarifies except for Sami. Abe asks why she's not coming. Marlena says she wishes they knew.

Kayla asks Steve why he would think she's in trouble. Steve doesn't think he gave her the whole story with what she was talking to Jennifer about. Kayla repeats that she can't betray Jennifer's confidence and she's not in trouble. Kayla appreciates his concern but says he doesn't need to worry about her. Kayla thanks him for bringing lunch but she has a staff meeting so she'll see him tonight and she exits. Steve calls her a lousy liar and then notices that Kayla left her phone behind on her desk so he picks it up. Steve looks through Kayla's phone, feeling there has to be something. He finds something and asks what the hell is this about. Kayla then comes back in and questions what he's doing.

Abigail assures Stefan that Chad will come around and that everyone who loves her is rooting for them, even Gabi is helping them get back together. Stefan questions why she would do that. Abigail calls her a great friend. Stefan is surprised she doesn't hold a grudge or want revenge. Abigail responds that he must not know Gabi very well then. Stefan questions how Gabi can really help. Abigail explains that she is reconnecting with her daughter at the Kiriakis Mansion right now. Stefan asks about Chad and then realizes he didn't have anywhere else to go so he asks if he and Gabi are living together but Abigail says it's not like that.

Gabi tells Chad that he can't give up as she knows he can get past this. Chad hopes she's right. Gabi encourages that it will just take some time and if they need to spend time apart then Abigail needs to respect that. Chad tells her how grateful he is. Gabi thinks that Abigail just doesn't realize that she's putting a lot of pressure on him and upsetting him. Gabi thinks they should definitely stay in neutral corners, assuring Chad that he's doing the right thing. Chad thanks her for saying that.

Tripp says he, Claire, and Ciara all pay equal rent so they all have equal say on who moves in. Ciara shouts that it's temporary. Tripp says Ciara votes yes and he votes no so Claire will break the tie. Tripp asks what she's waiting for and urges her to kick the crazy killer to the curb. Claire then reveals that her vote is yes for Ben to stay wih them which makes Ciara and Ben happy.
