Claire is on the phone with Tripp, saying she owes him. He hopes she gets good news at the hospital. Claire says she will see him later and hangs up. Ciara then shows up at the loft, startling Claire. Ciara says it's still her place so she's moving back in.

Tripp is working at the town square when Steve approaches and says he needs to talk to him. Tripp says he's working so it's not a good time and he'll call him later. Steve tells him it's about Kate DiMera which gets his attention. Steve asks him to take a break. Steve asks what Tripp was really talking about when he brought up Kate's name the other day.

Kate visits Theo in the hospital, saying she would give anything for Theo to come back to them and forgive her. Kayla walks in and asks what she needs to be forgiven for.

Eric hugs Sami as she cries and tells her that he feels awful. Eric wishes she would've called him so they could've talked to Will together. Sami thought she could handle things. Eric says she always thinks that but it always turns out like this. Eric tells her how he trashed his place too when Nicole left him. Sami feels Will thinks she's the worst mother in the world. Sami questions what she was thinking by reenacting his murder.

Will goes to leave but stops and kisses Paul. Outside the door, Sonny arrives and knocks on the door. Will suggests they ignore it until they hear it's Sonny. Will answers the door and asks Sonny what's up. Sonny questions what Will is doing here. Will asks if Paul wants to tell him or if he should.

Eric tells Sami that everyone is worried about her. Sami complains that Eric is nice and kind to everyone but her. Eric thinks that wouldn't be a help to her. Sami cries that she really screwed up this time. Sami tells Eric that Will said he didn't want his memory back if it meant dealing with her. Sami insists that she did what she had to do and that it was working. Eric encourages that Marlena knows what she's talking about. Sami has had enough of his tough love. Eric tries to tell her to shut up and listen but Sami tells him to get the hell out.

Kate tells Kayla that she didn't hear her come in. Kayla questions what she needs forgiveness for from Theo. Kate tells her it's none of her business but she felt she owed it to Stefano to stay involved in Theo's life and she feels she failed them both. Kayla brings up that Abe didn't want Theo involved with DiMera. Kate notes that Abe didn't approve of their business methods. Kayla feels that is because they are dangerous. Kate says she and Chad have changed things so DiMera will always be a legitimate business for Thomas and Theo. Kate asks if there has been any improvement. Kayla says they have called in a specialist. Kate says to get the best and tells her to keep her updated. Kayla stops her and says she wants to talk to her about Tripp.

Tripp tells Steve that they already went over this. Steve needs to know what's going on. Tripp says nothing and that Kate was just asking too many questions. Steve informs him that he talked to Kayla and she said they never talked about Kate or the anonymous donation. Steve asks Tripp what he's not telling him about Kate.

Kayla asks Kate if she talked to Tripp about his donation because Steve says he hasn't been acting like himself and he can't figure out why. Kate insists that she didn't talk to Tripp about it. Kate asks if she's accusing her of something.

Tripp tells Steve that he didn't lie to him. Steve says he knew that Kayla didn't talk to him about Kate but didn't correct him. Tripp didn't think it was a big deal. Steve warns him that he needs to tell him what's going on. Tripp feels talking to him won't change anything. Tripp tells him that it's been taken care of. Steve assures that he's on his side. Steve says he may think he's taken care of things but Kate is bad news and has him in her sights. Steve asks him once more what this is about. Tripp admits it's about Theo.

Ciara tells Claire that Hope took the keys to her motorcycle so she took a spare. Ciara tells Claire that she's no longer gullible and doesn't just accept things. Claire questions why she would want to move back in when she wants nothing to do with her. Ciara says she's not living with her mom and her name is still on the lease so she's not running away again. Ciara is tired of Claire trying to take things that belong to her. Claire argues that Theo didn't belong to her and he chose her because he loves her. Ciara argues that she made sure Theo couldn't make an informed decision by hiding her letter. Ciara doesn't believe anything Claire says. Claire tells her that she can have her room while she stays in Theo's. Claire then exits to go see Theo.

Eric mocks Sami always playing that scene. Sami tells him that she hates him. Eric knows the truth hurts but she knows his feelings better than anyone. Eric knows Sami is torn up inside thinking she's going to lose Will again. Sami likes to imagine everything working out like she planned. Sami thought Will would remember and she would have him back. Sami thought she could handle the consequences if things went wrong. Eric encourages that Will is still the same person who has forgiven her time and again. Eric believes part of Will knows that Sami did what she did out of love. Sami doesn't know but says it's nice to think so.

Sonny would like to hear from Will what he's doing here. Paul tells Sonny that Will wanted to know more about his life. Sonny questions him coming to Paul instead of his family. Will argues that his family only want to tell him about the good things while Paul had the guts to tell him he could sometimes be a son of a bitch. Will goes over outing Paul and sleeping with him while married to Sonny. Will finds that more interesting. Paul remarks that he can still be a son of a bitch. Sonny questions Paul thinking Will needed to know all that right now. Will says not to blame Paul. Will questions why Sonny failed to tell him any of this. Will says Sonny made it seem like they had a perfect marriage when clearly they don't. Will asks why he lied to him.

Tripp explains to Steve that Theo came to see him at work and asked him not to tell anyone that he was working on something illegal with Kate. Tripp says he overheard them but Kate explained what she meant and Theo asked him not to say anything then Theo got shot. Tripp says he was going to turn Theo's phone in to the police but then Kate came for it. Tripp goes over how Kate insisted on turning in the phone and revealed she knew what he did to Kayla. Tripp talks about how Kate warned him about his donation could look like a payoff for what he did to Kayla and that Kayla could lose her job and license so he couldn't let that happen. Tripp tells Steve that he gave Kate the phone so she erased all her messages to Theo. Steve realizes Kate sent Theo into the warehouse and is the reason he got shot which Tripp confirms.

Kayla asks why Kate would think she's accusing her of something. Kate feels interrogation often leads to accusation. Kayla guesses she feels guilty about not being there for Theo. Kate brings up finding out about Tripp being the anonymous donor. Claire arrives so Kate says now she can go knowing Theo is in good hands. Kate then exits. Kayla tells Claire that Kate just used her as an excuse to get out of here. Kayla adds that she has called in a specialist to see Theo tomorrow but has to go catch up on things so she's glad Claire is there. Kayla exits while Claire sits with Theo to tell him that Ciara is back.

Ciara sits at home and imagines Theo reading her letter then choosing her over Claire. Ciara looks over at a framed photo of Claire and Theo. Ciara says this is how it could've been if it wasn't for her. Ciara drops the photo and smashes it.

Sonny tells Will that he didn't lie to him but didn't want to overwhelm him since he had enough on his plate. Will mocks his concern and suggests he didn't want him to know their marriage was on the rocks. Will says according to Paul it was pretty much all his fault. Sonny says they have a lot to talk about but he needs to talk to Paul alone right now. Will tells Sonny that he and Paul were in the middle of something.

Eric asks Sami to run any plans by him first. Sami mentions last night so Eric questions what she did. Sami feels it's better that he doesn't know. Eric tells her he's here for her if she feels guilty about something she did.

Tripp tells Steve that he's so sorry. Steve understands he was blackmailed so he has nothing to be sorry for. Steve will make sure Kate is though. Tripp worries that she will go after Kayla if he tries anything. Steve declares it may look like Kate has the upper hand but she's not getting away with it.

Claire talks to Theo, saying she knows she said Tripp got her more than he did but she didn't mean it. Ciara walks in and listens as Claire apologizes for being mad at Theo and that they were fighting.

Sami thanks Eric but tells him it's nothing for him to worry about. Eric asks how last night compares to breaking a serial killer out to strangle her son. Sami calls it a 3 or 4, saying she won't end up in jail but jokes that she did have the law on her side. Sami assures that no one is getting hurt and wants to bring it back to Will. Sami says it's hard not to push because she has to leave to go back to her kids soon. Sami doesn't want to leave without Will hearing her out and forgiving her.

Paul thinks they said all that needed to be said. Will says they have different perceptions as he thought they just scratched the surface. Paul asks Will to go. Will remarks that he likes Paul. Sonny says they'll be in touch as Will exits. Paul is glad Sonny is here and that he wanted to talk. Sonny knows Will coming back hasn't been easy on him. Paul apologizes for not being more understanding. Sonny is sorry for leaving him hanging. Paul says all that is important is that he's here now. Sonny tells Paul there is something he needs to tell him. Sonny declares he's so sorry but he can't allow Paul to keep hoping. Sonny then tells Paul that they are done.

Ciara asks Claire if there's any change and if Theo is getting better. Theo tells her that Tripp is covering her shift at work so this is her only time alone with him. Claire asks Ciara to come back later. Ciara argues that she just got here while Claire has had a lot of time with him since he was shot. Claire decides she won't argue with her because it's not good for Theo. Claire tells Theo she will be back. Claire asks Ciara to try not to be such a bitch while she's here because she believes Theo knows they are here. Claire then exits. Ciara sits with Theo and tells him she got here as soon as she could. Ciara wishes she could've been with him that night so he wouldn't have been doing what he was doing and maybe he wouldn't have ended up here.

Eric tells Sami it may not work out that way as she can't make Will remember or forgive her so she may have to leave before he does. Sami asks if leaving would make it easier for him. Eric calls it something to think about. Sami wishes everyone could go along with her plan. Eric calls Will a very forgiving person but also very stubborn like her. They joke with each other. Sami doesn't know what she would do without him. Eric tells her to just keep being herself. Sami apologizes and says Nicole didn't deserve him and was an idiot for walking away. Eric doesn't want to talk about that. Sami encourages that he will find an amazing woman. Eric tells her to focus on her own problems. Sami says she loves him. Eric jokes for her to clean up the mess in her room. Eric says he will keep her posted on Will as he exits.

Paul assures Sonny that he didn't ask Will to come as he showed up on his own. Paul adds that he didn't talk about their past to try and screw things up for them. Sonny believes him. Paul asks if this is because of his lie in Memphis. Sonny feels it's just not fair to ask Paul to sit and wait around while he sorts this out. Paul doesn't mind waiting but Sonny tells him he can't wait because this is never going to happen. Sonny declares whether Will remembers him or not, he loves him and he wants to be married to him.

Claire joins Tripp in the town square. Tripp thought she was going to the hospital to see Theo. Claire says Ciara pitched a fit about wanting to be alone with him so she left. Claire complains about Ciara barking orders and trying to push her around. Claire asks if Tripp is okay.

Kayla runs in to Kate again at the hospital and feels like they didn't finish their talk. Kate says they did finish. Steve arrives and calls it a coincidence to find Kate here outside of Theo's room. Kate questions what he means by that. Steve says he was just thinking about Theo and her. Steve says it must tear her up inside to see Theo in a coma. Kate thanks him for his concern and storms off. Kayla questions Steve sounding hostile. Steve responds that he really wanted to tear her head off.

Sonny tells Paul that he didn't want to hurt him and he hopes they can eventually be friends. Paul doesn't want to be his friend, he wants to be his husband because he loves him. Sonny responds that he already has a husband. Sonny tells him he's so sorry but he wants to be with Will. Paul asks what if Will doesn't want to be with him.

Kayla asks Steve what happened. Steve informs her that Tripp finally told him what's going on. Steve says they need to go somewhere private so Kayla guesses it's serious.

Claire asks Tripp what's wrong but he says it's nothing. Claire can see that's not true. Claire says she's been leaning on him a lot so she suggests he lean on her for a change. Tripp says he can't tell her and needs to get back to work. Claire stops him and says she needs to tell him that Ciara is moving in with them.

Ciara tells Theo that she's so sorry this happened to him but the blame belongs on Claire. Ciara argues that Theo wouldn't be here if Claire gave her letter to him sooner. Ciara says they would be together and he would be safe as she kisses him on the forehead. Ciara promises to make Claire pay for what she did to him.

Sonny tells Paul that Will still doesn't know who he is so maybe he doesn't want to be with him right now but he's going to wait. Paul points out that he could remember everything and still not want to start over with him. Paul says Will had a life in Memphis so he may want different things. Sonny declares that's for he and Will to work out so he can't have Paul waiting around thinking there's a chance. Sonny repeats that he's so sorry. Sonny tells Paul that he knows how much he loves him but it's over between them because it has to be. Sonny then exits, leaving Paul disappointed.

Will sits at Marlena's looking at the article he had written on Paul. Eric then arrives and introduces himself as his uncle. Will responds that if he's anything like Sami, he doesn't think they will be getting along.

Sami gets a phone call that shocks her. She asks what they are saying and if he's alive.
