Marlena meets Brady at the Pub. Marlena notes he sounded urgent. Brady informs her that he needs to talk to her as a patient so what he says is kept confident. Brady reveals that he has been aiding a wanted criminal.

Jade wakes up on the couch at home and takes more of her meds then lays back down. Joey comes out from the back so Jade claims to be getting worse. Jade asks him to stay with her until she feels better. Joey hesitates so Jade tells him he can go if he wants. Kayla arrives so Jade assumes she came to check on her but Kayla informs her that she came to talk to Joey.

Steve and Tripp go to the hospital for the DNA test. Steve talks about not liking needles so Tripp jokes about maybe not being related. Steve says they will find out soon enough. Tripp calls it so weird. Steve knows it's out of the blue. Tripp talks about spending years trying to find his parents then he just shows up. Steve says he would've been looking for years too if he knew about him and if he is his son then he's glad he found him. Tripp asks about his mom and if she will feel the same way.

Abigail wakes up on the couch at home because Thomas is crying. Chad comes in and assures her that Thomas is fine. Chad worries about her almost dying because of him. Abigail insists that it was because of Deimos while it's because of Chad that she's alive. Chad brings up Gabi not being out of the woods yet. Abigail tells him that she has to be alright.

Dario goes to check on Gabi at the hospital and asks the nurse for an update. She responds that Gabi is not out of the woods yet.

Marlena guesses that Brady is helping Nicole which he confirms. Brady admits to Marlena that he is in love with Nicole so he has to do anything to help her. Marlena brings up that Nicole has defied a court order and kidnapped a child. Brady argues that it's her own child. Marlena says if Nicole stays on the run, Brady will have to lead that life too. Brady declares he wants his future to be with Nicole. Marlena hopes this isn't going where she thinks it is.

Abigail tells Chad that she thinks they should go see Gabi. Chad doesn't think it's a good idea. Abigail brings up that Gabi is their friend. Abigail says what they discussed before doesn't matter because everything is different since Deimos came after them. Abigail thinks it's important for them to stand together and she wants Gabi to know that they are both in her corner. Chad calls her the most amazing woman he's ever known. Abigail feels that Gabi needs them and it's the right thing to do.

Jade thinks whatever Kayla has to say to Joey that she can say to her. Kayla responds that it's not her call so Jade decides to head upstairs. Joey feels Kayla was kind of hard on Jade and asks what the big deal is. Joey asks if it's about Steve and Ava's son. Kayla tells Joey that they may have found his brother.

Steve talks to Tripp about his mom being determined to find him as well but being told that he was dead. Tripp calls it a lot to take in and asks for more about his mom. Steve knows it's hard and he has a lot of questions but he needs to know that he is for sure his son before he tells him anymore about Ava. Tripp says it won't be long now. The nurse comes over and reveals that the analysis of the test has been delayed. Tripp asks what they do now. Steve tells him to come with him as he has someone that he wants him to meet just in case.

Brady assures Marlena that he remembers the things Nicole has done. Marlena acknowledges her bad decisions and worries about him. Brady thinks Nicole is doing the right thing and repeats that he loves her. Marlena asks if he feels that he wants to make the life for Nicole that Daniel wanted to make.

Dario sits with Gabi as Eduardo enters. Dario tells him there is no change and worries about her. Eduardo notes that she isn't improving despite being stable. Eduardo worries about her breathing not improving. Dario compares the situation to one of his friends. Dario wants to tear Deimos apart. Eduardo brings up that they don't have proof that he's behind this. Dario argues that everyone knows it was him. Dario complains about Deimos walking around free and says if the cops aren't going to do anything then he will. Eduardo warns him that they can't do anything without proof as Deimos is counting on him to retaliate. Eduardo says they can't keep mindlessly escalating the war as they have to win it permanently. Dario agrees not to do anything but worries about Gabi. Eduardo assures him that they will respond.

Kayla tells Joey that they aren't sure yet but it's a strong possibility that Tripp is Steve's son so they went to get the DNA test. Joey asks if he knows Ava is dead. Kayla explains that Steve decided not to tell him everything until they're sure. Kayla isn't sure Tripp should know everything which Joey takes it to mean the fact that he killed Ava. Steve arrives at the door with Tripp. Joey acknowledges that he must be Tripp and Tripp responds that he must be his brother.

Brady talks to Marlena about being in Nicole's life before she met Daniel and always being there for her. Brady says it just took him a long time to see. Marlena argues that it's not going to work because Nicole is going to be caught and will lose her baby then go to jail. Brady responds that he plans to do everything he can to prevent that from happening. Marlena questions him thinking he has it all figured out and asks why he called her. Marlena then answers that he knows as well as she do that this is a dead end going nowhere. Marlena asks Brady about Tate.

Dario exits Gabi's room as Chad and Abigail arrive at the hospital. Abigail asks Dario how Gabi is. Dario responds that she's unconscious and blames Chad for dragging her in to every mess he creates. Abigail tells him not to do this. Dario argues that he wasn't able to process what happened last night. Chad questions Dario blaming him and is sorry that he's angry. Dario accuses Chad of being the reason Deimos came after Gabi and Abigail. Abigail wants to focus on Gabi. Dario argues that Gabi isn't getting any better and the doctors can't figure out her breathing as he storms off. Abigail asks Chad if he's okay. Chad says he is. Abigail decides she should go check on Dario so she goes after him. Chad turns around and looks through the window where Eduardo remains with Gabi.

Marlena tells Brady that this is so sad and she aches for Nicole but he has to think about Tate and give this up. Brady responds that he can't do it because he loves Nicole. Brady brings up Marlena and John always telling him that love causes sacrifices. Marlena questions Tate being the sacrifice. Marlena asks if Nicole loves him and if he's making the sacrifice for no reason if she doesn't. Brady declares that's a chance he's going to have to take.

Eduardo comes out of Gabi's room and tells Chad that he wants to thank him for saving Gabi's life so they shake hands. Chad tells him about Dario blaming him. Eduardo understands that Dario needs to be angry right now rather than face the possibilities as they are very worried. Chad hoped there would be good news but Eduardo says they will just have to wait. Chad brings up that this was Deimos but he can't prove it. Eduardo says they are in the same position regarding Deimos and he will move on him eventually. Eduardo states that he doesn't just want revenge but to break Deimos and see him powerless. Chad decides he will get the proof. Eduardo is glad they are on the same page. Eduardo brings up Gabi not breathing well and possibly having to be put on a machine which could mean she will never regain the strength to breathe on her own again. Eduardo goes to talk to Gabi's doctor while Chad heads inside to see Gabi.

Abigail catches up to Dario in the waiting room. Dario apologizes for going off on Chad in front of her. Abigail understands how he feels but insists that Chad saved Gabi's life so Dario's anger should be directed at Deimos. Dario responds that he will make sure Deimos pays for what he did but brings up what Chad did to her and Gabi. Abigail tells him to blame her for letting Chad and Gabi think she was dead. Dario complains that Chad made sure Gabi knew how lost and alone he was. Dario talks about Chad not wanting to let Gabi go even when Abigail came back. Dario argues that Chad doesn't deserve either one of them. Dario remarks that Chad has a wife who is beautiful, sweet, and smart who deserves someone who loves her like he does.

Kayla gets the call that the lab won't have the DNA results for awhile as they are backed up. Tripp is annoyed and asks Kayla about knowing his mother. Steve points out that they have to get that DNA test first. Jade comes in and introduces herself as Joey's roommate. They tell each other they have a cool name. Joey tells Jade that this is kind of a family thing. Jade takes it as she's in the way and says she just came to get her tablet. Jade gets her tablet while sneaking one of her pill bottles with her and heads back upstairs. Tripp comments on Jade being good looking. Kayla asks Tripp about his adoptive parents but Tripp says there isn't much to say as his mom died when he was really young and he doesn't know where the dad is. Tripp explains that he's been on his own for five or six years then decides he's not real good at talking about himself. Tripp asks Joey about the rent here. Joey admits he doesn't know as his parents pay for it. Tripp jokes that maybe he can get in on that.

Chad sits with Gabi and talks about Abigail saying she thinks they have a connection. Chad agrees that they always have and they just got each other since high school. Chad talks about Gabi knowing what he was doing with the antidote and that he wasn't just choosing Abigail. Chad tells her that he needs her to pull through this as she has way too much to live for. Chad declares that he can't and won't lose her. Chad kisses Gabi on the forehead.

Abigail questions Dario being in love with her and thought he was seeing someone then realizes there wasn't anyone else. Dario admits he's not proud of lying but that he's been attracted to her ever since she came back to town. Abigail tells him that he's been such a good friend but she's married and loves Chad. Dario argues that Chad doesn't deserve her which Abigail doesn't want to hear. Dario states that Abigail loves Chad but he only loves her with half a heart which is not fair. Dario repeats that Chad doesn't deserve her and she doesn't deserve to be stuck with him as he walks out of the room.

Steve relates to Tripp having a bad father but now with his family, he never believed he could be this happy. Steve tells Tripp it gets better. Tripp decides he'll have to wait and see. Kayla now gets a call that the test results are in.

At the Kiriakis Mansion, Victor asks Brady if he's going somewhere. Brady informs him that he wanted to say goodbye as he claims he's going on an extended vacation with Tate. Victor guesses he'll be with Nicole. Brady admits that they are going to live together. Victor calls him so sweet and so stupid. Brady jokes about him belittling him. Victor warns him that it won't end well but Brady insists that it will work and he has to do everything he can to make sure Nicole keeps Daniel's child. Victor asks when he will stop trying to save lost causes and start saving himself.

Dario and Eduardo return to Gabi's room. Dario asks why she isn't any better. Eduardo states the doctors have done all they can so it's up to her.

Abigail rejoins Chad outside of Gabi's room. Chad hugs her and asks if she got through to Dario. Abigail hopes so and asks about Gabi. Chad tells her about her breathing not improving. Chad admits it's hard to see Gabi this way. Eduardo comes out and calls for Gabi's doctor to come right away. Chad asks him if everything is okay.

Kayla announces that the test results are positive so Tripp is Steve's son. Steve tells him that he's really happy about this and hopes he is too as they hug. They then hear a crash and rush upstairs to find that Jade has fallen.

Brady knows how Victor feels about Nicole. Victor says he does want Brady to be happy. Brady thinks they will be. Brady asks him to say goodbye to Maggie for him. Victor lets him know if he needs anything at all. Brady says he knows and hugs him. Brady stops to tell Victor that he does love him as he exits the mansion with Tate.

Gabi wakes up and asks Dario if Chad is there as she thought she heard his voice. Dario tells her that it's just him and tells her to forget about Chad because he's with Abigail and his family while she is with hers where she belongs.

Eduardo doesn't know what changed but excitedly tells Chad that something brought Gabi back and her breathing is a lot better. Chad and Abigail are relieved as Chad goes back to the window while Abigail seems concerned.
