Roman goes to see Eric and jokes about Marlena wearing him down when he couldn't. Roman tells Eric that he's very happy but gets that he's worried about coming home. Eric calls it just a trial to see how it goes. Roman assures that it will go great because he helps people turn their lives around. Eric remarks that it's his own life he screwed up. Roman brings up Eric seeming determined to live here all by himself and asks what changed his mind. Jennifer then arrives.

Claire comes home and sees Theo so she thinks back to Ciara telling her how she feels. Claire sits on Theo's lap and kisses him. Claire then tells Theo that she wants him to make love to her right now.

Chloe meets Eduardo in the town square and asks if he found her baby. Eduardo says he hasn't but is sure they will hear something soon. Chloe worries that Nicole could be anywhere by now if Deimos is helping her. Eduardo insists that Deimos will not come out on top in this as he has his guys watching him. Eduardo promises to do everything he can to find Holly and bring her home to Chloe. Chloe thinks he's only doing this because he hates Deimos but Eduardo says he's doing it for Chloe and Holly since what Nicole did wasn't right. Chloe thanks him and hugs him as Kate walks by and sees them.

Nicole and Brady put on disguises and have fake IDs as they prepare to cross the border. Nicole wants to get as far away from Salem as possible away from Chloe and Deimos so she and Holly can be safe. Brady promises that she will be fine. Brady tells her they don't want to miss the bus. Nicole checks Holly and feels she is burning up so she worries about her being sick. Nicole says they have to get her to a hospital. Brady worries about the risk but Nicole says it doesn't matter. Brady decides he knows someone who can help them.

Theo questions Claire wanting to make love right now. He didn't expect it to happen so soon and calls it a big step. Claire argues that people their age in relationships are doing it all the time. Claire says that they love each other so she asks why wait. Ciara then comes in and asks what they would wait for.

Jennifer hopes she isn't interrupting. Eric jokes that they were just talking about Marlena and Roman convincing him to take the job in the town square. Jennifer thinks it's great and encourages that Eric will do great. Jennifer gives Eric papers to sign so he can get started as soon as possible. Eric mentions that he has to find a place to live first. Roman informs him that he already has a place lined up and refers him to a realtor. Eric steps out to make the call. Roman thanks Jennifer for what she's doing for Eric.

Kate interrupts Chloe and Eduardo. Chloe says it's not what it looks like as he is just helping her find her child. Kate argues about Chloe calling Holly her child and brings up her past with Lucas and Philip. Kate warns that if Eduardo is getting involved with Chloe, he will live to regret it.

Claire claims they were just wondering if they should wait for Ciara to have dinner. Ciara tells them that she is staying with her mom tonight which makes Claire happy. Ciara tells her to have a good dinner. Claire excitedly tells Theo that this is perfect since they will have the whole place to themselves as she kisses him.

Jennifer tells Roman that he doesn't have to thank her. Roman says Marlena told him how hard she worked to get Eric this chance. Jennifer feels the town square center needs him. Roman is grateful that she found a way to get Eric back in to life as he did not like the idea of Eric staying here by himself. Eric comes back in and says he's all set for the apartment. Roman hugs him and says he's glad to have him back. Roman tells Jennifer it was good to see her. Roman tells Eric to tell Marlena about the apartment as he exits. Jennifer asks Eric if he's ready to sign. Eric states that there is first something they need to get straight.

Eduardo asks for a moment alone with Kate so they step away. Eduardo asks what is going on and why she feels the need to kick Chloe when she's down. Kate argues that Chloe is always down and it's always her fault. Eduardo argues that Holly is legally Chloe's. Kate points out that it's only because Deimos bribed the judge. Kate states that all Nicole did was take her baby back. Eduardo argues that Chloe carried the baby and gave birth to her. Eduardo asks why it matters to her. Kate responds that it happened to her. Eduardo is sorry to hear and asks her to explain. Kate tells her that a sick woman stole an embryo that belonged to her and had it implanted in her body. Kate says that woman was just as delusional as Chloe. Kate argues that she knows Holly should not be with Chloe and she hopes Eduardo knows that too. Eduardo hopes Kate will forgive him but he feels compelled to see this from Chloe's point of view. Kate brings up the string of men in Chloe's past and how they all paid a price to be her white knight. Kate believes Chloe has enlisted Eduardo because she has alienated every other man who knows her. Eduardo comments that some people end up doing that.

Brady and Nicole bring Holly to see Dr. Lee. He questions what they are doing here and why they came to him. Brady felt he would understand the situation. Dr. Lee worries that he could be risking his medical license and must report that he has seen them. Nicole argues that she brought her baby because she is sick. Dr. Lee brings up the court case. Brady argues with him. Dr. Lee says this is not the right thing. Brady asks him to just take care of the baby. Dr. Lee responds that he has no choice in the matter and exits.

Theo doesn't know and brings up what happened to Joey and Jade. Claire argues that they will use protection so that won't happen. Claire tells Theo to go get what he needs and meet her back here. Claire promises it will be worth it as she kisses him and declares tonight will be the perfect night. Theo then exits. Ciara comes back in and asks about Theo leaving. Claire says he just had some stuff to do. Ciara wanted to talk to her alone and make sure she is okay after what she told her how she feels about Theo. Claire says she's completely fine and is really glad she told her. Claire thinks it's important for them to be open and honest with each other. Claire states that they now know here they both stand. Ciara is glad they are still friends and they hug. Ciara then exits.

Kate brings up Eduardo saying he would do anything it took to get her back but now she just compared her to Chloe who she despises. Eduardo argues that he doesn't compare her to anyone but he gave Chloe his word that he would do the right thing. Kate responds that helping Chloe steal the baby back isn't the right thing. Eduardo asks if Kate is jealous and if that's why she's so upset about him trying to help Chloe. Kate remarks that maybe he's not as smart as she thought and walks away. Chloe returns to Eduardo and says she would understand if he wants to back out of this. Eduardo reassures that he will help her find her baby and might have come across an unexpected benefit.

Jennifer asks Eric if something is wrong with the contract. Eric says he just wants to be clear what he's signing. Eric says he can't stop his parents from getting their hopes up. Jennifer knows he will have a way out. Eric acknowledges that she gets it. Eric asks if Maggie knows he's coming back. Jennifer admits she didn't tell her because she wanted to make sure it was going to happen first. Eric asks about Nicole. Jennifer looks down. Eric blames himself for Nicole being on the run instead of at home with Daniel.

Brady stops Dr. Lee from making a call and orders him to take care of Holly because that's what doctors do. Brady argues with him about Chloe having the baby without Nicole being told about it. Dr. Lee tells Nicole to think about what she's doing. She begs him not to turn them in. Brady says that Chloe played Dr. Lee for a fool and Nicole is paying for it so they are here to settle the debt. Dr. Lee agrees to go to the exam room with them.

Outside, Theo bumps in to Ciara and drops his bag. Ciara tries to pick it up but Theo quickly does so himself. Ciara questions him seeming jumpy but Theo says he's fine. Theo asks her about going to see Hope and says he's glad they will get some time. Ciara hopes things start going back to normal. Theo says he won't keep her and to tell Hope he said hi as he quickly walks off. Julie approaches Ciara and asks if she's okay. Ciara says no so they sit together. Julie guesses it's about the boy she cares about so much which Ciara confirms. Ciara admits that it's Theo. Julie brings up Theo dating Claire. Ciara says she told Claire how she feels. Ciara adds that it's just weird when she sees Theo now because he's her best friend but she can't tell him how she feels. Julie points out that she has told her and Claire so it's time she tells Theo. Julie is sure she will feel better. Ciara worries that it could backfire and she loses her best friend.

Eric finishes signing the papers and the newspaper photo of Jennifer that he had falls out of his book. Eric worries about her seeing it and it seeming creepy but she says she saw it the other day and it's okay. Eric talks about her picture helping him through days in prison by seeing a friendly face. Eric states that there was not a day that he didn't think about her. Jennifer gets that they need to talk about where they stand.

Dr. Lee gives medication for Holly and says there isn't much more he can do but that they should stay until Holly's fever goes down. He says he will check back in later and exits. Brady checks on Nicole. She talks about freaking out at the slightest sign of sickness. Nicole declares that she will take care of her baby until the day she dies.

Dr. Lee goes back to his office and calls Eduardo. Eduardo thanks him for getting back with him and asks if he has news. He tells him that he has good news and he needs them to get to his clinic as soon as possible. Eduardo hangs up and tells Chloe that they have to go.

Kate goes to the Pub and orders a vodka martini straight up but is surprised to see Roman at the bar. Roman asks her what's going on.

Julie tells Ciara that she won't lose Theo if he is her best friend and that he will be grateful to know how she feels. Ciara worries about saying it wrong and screwing up. Julie suggests writing a letter then. Ciara decides that's a great idea so she can finally move on. Ciara agrees to do that and rushes off.

Claire paces at home until Theo returns. Claire tells him that she wants everything tonight to be perfect. Claire asks if he's okay. Theo says he's fine. She asks if he's sure since she doesn't want to push him. Theo assures that this is what he wants as long as she is ready. Theo asks if she's ready. Claire responds by kissing him.

Ciara sits in the town square writing her letter to Theo about how she feels, saying she doesn't want things to be weird between them but thought it was important to be honest. Ciara wries about blowing it before and no matter what she hopes they can remain friends. Ciara thinks back to past times with Theo. Ciara then puts the letter in an envelope and decides that if Theo is running errands, she can go back and drop it off at home.

Jennifer doesn't know what is going on and talks about not thinking there was any hope for her and Eric. Eric talks about not getting in touch as he never thought there was any future. Eric doesn't know what his future looks like now. Jennifer gets that he's not ready for a relationship and she has no idea what's ahead either. Eric feels she's so ready for happiness. Jennifer thinks he is too and they can help each other. Eric doesn't think he deserves to be happy. Jennifer encourages him to have life and hope.

Nicole tells Brady that Holly's fever is down and she has fallen asleep. Brady thinks they should get going. Nicole brings up Dr. Lee saying he would be back to check if they were okay. Brady points out that is just what he said.

Claire and Theo kiss and start to undress as they move on to the couch. Ciara walks in with her letter but then sees the condom box and looks over to see Claire and Theo kissing on the couch.

Kate tells Roman about Eduardo eating out of Chloe's hand and how it drives her crazy. Kate adds that she gave Eduardo the history of Chloe and told him that he was wrong to be helping her. Kate feels Eduardo was being gullible, stupid, and wrong. Roman agrees but says that Kate seems to like him. Roman thinks she has some damage control if she's not ready to say goodbye. Roman walks away as Kate wonders why men have to be so sensitive.

Jennifer tells Eric that the first time they came together was crazy emotional pain and they both bonded because of it. Jennifer talks about moving past that pain. Jennifer calls him an amazing man and encourages him to believe in himself as they end up kissing.

Eduardo and Chloe go to the exam room with Dr. Lee but Brady, Nicole, and Holly are gone. Eduardo tells Chloe to trust that they will find Holly soon as he makes a call.

Brady and Nicole go to the docks with Holly. Nicole tells Brady that he was right that they couldn't stay there. Brady says Holly looks good and they will get her a doctor in Canada. Nicole worries for Brady and says he has to go back in case she gets caught. Nicole tells him to think about Tate but Brady refuses to leave her until he knows they are safe. Brady tells her that they are in this together as they walk off.
