Days of Our Lives Update Thursday 7/19/07

Brady house:

Sami is so taken aback at the sight of Santo and how much he looks like EJ that she has to excuse herself to get some water. While she is gone, Roman and Hope talk of how this could explain why Stefano sought out Sami to produce the stem cells. They wonder whether Stefano is aiming to recreate the past. Roman is expecting Anna to join him here but wonders why she is running late. Roman decides he can’t wait any longer and asks Hope to let Anna know that he waited as long as he could when she finally does arrive. Roman agrees to keep Hope informed on whatever John and Marlena find and leaves. Sami returns and talks of how it feels more like fate than a simple resemblance. Hope feels that EJ knew the plan all along when he raped Sami. Sami laments that the babies make her and EJ bonded for life but Hope points out that she is also bonded to Lucas as her husband. Sami worries that Lucas will freak out when he sees the photo but Hope solves that by putting the photo away back in the envelope. Sami asks Hope if she can put EJ away where Lucas can’t see him either.

Sami’s apartment:

Lucas opens the door to find EJ standing there. Lucas sarcastically asks EJ why it took him two hours since their release from the safe house to stop by.

John’s plane:

John pours champagne as he and Marlena discuss the idea of finding Tony after 20 years. John serves the champagne to Marlena and kisses her. Anna rushes onto the plane surprising John and Marlena with the announcement that she is coming with them.

Pub:

Stefano, with Dr. Rolf in tow, complains that he had to come down to the pub for questioning. Stefano complains that Bo is not allowing him to see his son in the hospital. Bo corrects Stefano by explaining that the man in the hospital is not Tony but is Andre. Stefano doesn’t believe Bo because he claims Andre died several years ago. Bo shows Stefano the DNA report and proclaims it to be proof that Tony had his life stolen by Stefano.

Plane:

Anna helps herself to some champagne but John stops her to insist that she doesn’t get to go along. John uses the excuse of it being too dangerous but Anna balks that John is letting Marlena go on such a dangerous journey. Marlena quickly objects. John tries again by claiming that Anna shouldn’t come along because they don’t know what shape they’ll find Tony in. Anna feels that’s all the more reason for her to come along and adds that she’d be the only one who can tell if the one they find is the real Tony. Marlena agrees that Anna has a point so John allows Anna to come with them. Anna drags John away to carry her overnight bag onto the plane.

Brady house:

Hope asks if Sami and Lucas have talked about what happened with EJ but Sami complains that instead of hearing her say ‘moving on,’ Lucas only hears ‘forgive’ which he strongly is against. Hope understands where Lucas is coming from. Sami complains that Lucas always accuses her of having a soft spot for EJ whenever she shows compassion. Hope asks Sami outright if she has feelings for EJ. Sami acts like the thought is absurd but Hope points out that those feelings can’t simply be wished away and sometimes fighting them makes them stronger.

Sami’s apartment:

EJ asks to talk so Lucas reluctantly lets him inside. EJ notices that the apartment is decorated for a romantic evening and Lucas declares that every day with Sami is special. EJ tells Lucas that he envies him but Lucas isn’t impressed because EJ’s desire of Sami is so well known. EJ starts to apologize but Lucas interrupts to demand that EJ state his business and get out before Sami comes home. EJ asks that the three of them sit down before the babies are born and talk things over. Lucas insists that EJ has no rights but EJ reminds him that he has biological rights. EJ asks Lucas to respect that but Lucas declares that the only way to get his respect is to give up his parental rights and stay away from his family.

Brady house:

Hope tries to justify Sami’s feelings to make her feel better about admitting them but Sami still denies having any feelings for EJ. Sami brings up how she tried to kill EJ to back up her point which surprises Hope since she hadn’t heard this story yet. Sami declares that she couldn’t kill EJ in the end because she didn’t want him dead.

Plane:

Anna interrupts John and Marlena kissing to ask for a private place to change so she can change into something more appealing for Tony. After making a joke to show how much he doesn’t like having Anna here, he tells her to go find someplace in the back. Anna starts to ask for help with her luggage again but thinks better of it.

Pub:

Stefano refuses to believe that Tony was Andre. Stefano asks Dr. Rolf to take him home but Bo refuses to let Stefano leave. Bo tells Stefano that John and Marlena are headed to the island to look for Tony and might even find Tony’s body instead. Stefano scoffs at the idea that he’d have his own son killed but Bo is sure Stefano wouldn’t hesitate to do so since Tony wasn’t like him. Bo trivializes the multigenerational feud but Stefano insists it’s worth it to honor his father Santo. Bo asks when the feud is going to end but Shawn Sr. walks in to declare that it doesn’t end.

Brady house:

Sami admits that she couldn’t kill EJ because she liked him and thought he liked her. Sami explains that EJ was the one who still loved her despite her past. Hope reminds Sami that EJ raped her and betrayed her but Sami justifies EJ’s actions by using the excuse that he was brainwashed by Stefano. Hope is shocked that Sami is making excuses for EJ. Sami thinks that EJ has changed and deserves a second chance. Hope thinks the kindness is all an act. Sami insists they both want EJ to be a better person for their babies.

Sami’s apartment:

EJ refuses to turn his back on the babies. EJ claims they all want to provide a safe loving home for these babies but Lucas accuses EJ of using the kids to worm his way into Sami’s life. EJ believes that the babies will teach him how to love but Lucas points out that the babies won’t love him when they find out how they came to be.

Plane:

Anna rejoins Marlena and John now having changed into a sexy red dress. Marlena jokes that they are going to a deserted island, not a cocktail party. Anna acknowledges that she overdressed but wants to remind Tony of the way he remembers her. Marlena points out that no one looks the same they did 20 years ago and adds that the real Tony hasn’t even met John yet. John jokingly acts self-conscious worrying about whether Tony will like his outfit. John reminds Anna that she’s only here to help identify Tony and the rest can wait. Marlena wonders if Tony knows how the vendetta began and whether he’ll know how to end it. John declares that they have begun their descent onto the island.

Pub:

Shawn Sr. isn’t happy to see Stefano in the pub. Bo explains that he’s drilling Stefano for answers because he knows the feud started with Santo and Colleen. Shawn Sr. doesn’t want to talk about it but Bo tries to get him to talk. Stefano prompts Shawn Sr. to reveal how he killed Colleen. Bo refuses to believe that Shawn Sr. could have killed anyone but Stefano insists it’s the truth. Bo presses Stefano then to tell more but Stefano decides that he’d rather leave now. Bo is angry that Stefano would declare such a thing and then leave but Stefano insists that Bo be left to confront the fact that his father is not the man Bo thought him to be. Bo refers to this as mind games but Stefano insists that it’s about righting a wrong. Bo demands to know what wrong was committed so they can seek a solution but Stefano declares that starting tonight he is going to end the vendetta by eliminating all Bradys. Roman arrives and Stefano tries to leave again but Bo insists that he stay. Roman shares his concern about Anna being missing with Bo and Bo fills him in on how Anna went with John and Marlena. Roman objects to the idea of Anna having to kiss Tony. Bo questions why Roman is so against Anna being romantic with Tony.

Island:

John happens upon an open-ended hut type shelter but finds it empty. Marlena soon joins him and explains that Anna is slowly coming along after getting her heel stuck in the sand. John cautions Marlena against getting too brokenhearted if they find out the person living here is not Tony but Marlena is confident Tony could survive anything. As they are talking Tony, accompanied by two island girls, returns to his hut and is relieved to see signs of life from home. Tony grabs Marlena in a hug and she starts to cry. Tony introduces John and Marlena to Lily and Lola, explaining that they got lost and have been here for the past six years. Marlena thanks the ladies for taking care of Tony. Marlena introduces John to Tony as her husband. Tony is confused that Marlena is no longer with Roman like she was when he left and Marlena explains that she and Roman are still good friends and he is now the deputy police commissioner. Marlena starts to inform Tony that John is his brother but Tony interrupts to compliment John on marrying Marlena. Tony asks how they were able to find him and jokes that he’s got plenty of time to hear the whole long story.

Brady house:

Hope notes how Sami finally referred to EJ as the true babies’ father. Hope cautions Sami about doing the right thing. Sami has Hope agree not to share what they’ve just been talking about and gives Hope her own copy of the letters. Sami promises to be careful and leaves.

Sami’s apartment:

EJ claims that loving EJ once they know the truth is up the babies to decide when they are old enough. Lucas vows to love the kids because they belong to Sami and promises not to stand in EJ’s way if he really intends to be a good father. EJ is surprised but Lucas warns that he’ll make sure EJ never sees Sami or the twins again if he does anything to harm them.

Pub:

Stefano, while Bo is out of earshot talking to Roman, orders Dr. Rolf to call up all their associates so everyone will be ready for a full attack on the Bradys. Dr. Rolf questions whether Stefano should be exerting so much energy with his fragile health. Stefano acknowledges that he knew about Andre by calling him a good soldier for the past 20 years. Stefano is determined to make Bo and the Bradys pay for putting Andre near death.

Island:

Marlena has filled in Tony on the past 20 years. Tony isn’t surprised to hear of how many crimes Andre committed in his name. Tony admits that Stefano joined Andre in bringing him to the island even promising that Andre would fix the name he sullied. Tony asks about Sami and Marlena tells him about Sami being pregnant with twins having been forced upon by EJ. John vows that the Bradys will put an end to the vendetta. John and Marlena bring up the quest to find out the truth via the letters. Tony remembers hearing bits of the story through the years. Tony suddenly remembers that Stefano wears a key on him at all times but he doesn’t remember what the key opens.

Pub:

Stefano pulls the key out of his pocket declaring it the only way to end the vendetta peacefully. Stefano declares that no one will be around to know what secrets it holds. Bo walks back in and Stefano tries to leave again. Bo demands that Stefano tell him how to end the vendetta once and for all before he leaves but Stefano declares that he is going to see Santo’s death wish through to fruition even if it’s the last thing he does. Bo allows Stefano to leave.

Sami’s apartment:

EJ vows never to hurt Sami or the twins and expresses his gratitude to Lucas. Sami returns and is surprised to find EJ and Lucas not fighting with each other. EJ feels Sami will be pleased with what they have to tell her.

Island:

Marlena suggests she could distract Stefano somehow in order to get the key from him but John doesn’t want Marlena to take such a risk. Marlena is sure that they can get the key once they return to Salem since they’ll now have Tony’s help. Tony refuses to ever go back to Salem.

Brady house:

Bo has returned home and informs Hope that Stefano has decided that he doesn’t want to end the vendetta even though he could. Bo worries where Stefano plans to strike next.

Sami’s apartment:

EJ declares that he and Lucas have agreed to be civil for the sake of the babies. Sami is shocked and confirms this with Lucas. Sami is extremely pleased and EJ leaves them alone. Sami notices the romantic setup and is touched that Lucas would settle things with EJ and plan a romantic evening for her. Dr. Rolf leaves a vase of flowers outside Sami’s door and slips a beeping device inside before walking away.
