Lockhart house:

Bonnie and Connor come back inside after burying the bones. Bonnie worries that they haven’t buried the bones deep enough so as not to be found but Connor tells her to be quiet. Connor heads downstairs to put the tools back in the basement. Bonnie pretends to look casual when Mimi walks in the door. Mimi notices Bonnie’s mud stained coat and jokingly asks her if she took up mud wrestling. Bonnie blames her dirty coat on water in the basement but quickly assures Mimi that she and Connor took care of it. Connor returns and Mimi can tell that they are up to something.

Pub:

Abby refuses to change to full time schooling. Chelsea can’t understand why since Abby doesn’t need to keep her job for the money. Abby insists on remaining loyal to Max as her employer but Chelsea negates that by claiming Max would fill her spot right away especially since he’s more into Mimi now. Abby claims not to care about that anymore. Chelsea uses the possibility of teaming up to get all the hot college guys to entice Abby to join her but Abby questions whether Chelsea is giving up on Shane.

Nick apologizes to Billie for leaving his belt at her house that led to Chelsea believing Billie has some mystery lover. Billie insists that Chelsea never find out about their lovemaking. Nick wants to believe they should keep it a secret because it would hurt Chelsea but Billie explains that it would more likely gross Chelsea out. Nick complains that he’s not a kid and Billie explains that she would have wanted Nick’s first time to be with someone his own age. Nick insists that his first time was perfect and tells Billie not to feel bad about it because he doesn’t.

Sami’s apartment:

Roman visits Sami and Lucas to let them know about EJ turning himself in. Lucas and Sami want to know if EJ confessed about shooting John or said anything about why he came back now. Roman tells Sami about EJ mentioning coming back to see friends who would clear his name and how he mentioned Sami’s name specifically.

Police station:

The police allow Kate to visit with EJ alone while EJ is handcuffed to a chair. EJ asks Kate how she’s been and she slaps him.

Pub:

Billie insists that they would have never slept together if she hadn’t been drinking. Billie mentions how she’s now back to going to her AA meetings to keep something like that night from happening again. Nick worries that Billie shares what happened with her group but Billie assures him that she hasn’t told anyone, especially Chelsea. Nick agrees that this should be kept from Chelsea. Billie tells Nick that he has been a good influence on Chelsea because of how she now plans to pay her own way through college rather than her usual begging for money from her parents. Nick points out that it’s actually Shane’s influence that Chelsea is trying to impress. Billie can tell that Nick doesn’t like Shane and Nick admits that he wishes Shane would go away.

Chelsea insists that she and Shane are through and claims that she’s over him. Chelsea repeats her desire to jump in the dating pool together but Abby insists she’s already in the pool because she’s enrolled at Salem U. Chelsea complains that Abby is only registered part time and accuses her of not wanting to grow up. Abby jokingly throws a French fry at Chelsea and Chelsea laughs as she throws one back at Abby. Abby smiles as she holds up the ketchup bottle so Chelsea grab the mustard bottle. Abby tells Chelsea to put the mustard bottle down in exchange for her thinking about going full time. Chelsea obliges but tells Abby to think fast. Abby questions whether Chelsea would stop being her friend if she decides against Chelsea’s idea. Chelsea smiles as she assures Abby that would never happen. Chelsea grabs the ketchup bottle out of Abby’s hand so Abby holds up another French fry threatening to throw it at Chelsea.

Lockhart house:

Bonnie insists that they really were cleaning up water in the basement. Mimi questions where the water came from and though both Connor and Bonnie answer simultaneously, they give different answers. They try to cover it up by claiming that both water sources leaked at the same time. Mimi accuses Connor of helping Bonnie lie so Connor offers to take Mimi down to the basement to smell the odor left from the water. Mimi still doesn’t believe Connor and advises him to get better at lying. Mimi heads to her room. Bonnie yells at Connor for messing up the lie by offering the tour. Connor is sure Mimi is on to them but Bonnie tells him to leave handling Mimi up to her. Mimi comes bursting back in the living room angrily showing off a police sketch she was just faxed from Abe that she feels looks exactly like Connor.

Bonnie tries to joke around about the sketch to diffuse the situation but Connor yells at her to shut up. Connor blurts out that Bonnie made him steal the bones. Mimi calls Bonnie a freak but Bonnie tries to deny it. Mimi wants further answers from Connor but Connor tries to bail. Mimi grabs his arm to keep him there and demands to know what Bonnie wanted with a bag of bones. Connor remains silent so Mimi leaves in frustration intent on finding out for herself. Connor complains to Bonnie that they should have told Mimi but Bonnie is sure that Mimi isn’t out there actually digging so they should just relax. After grabbing some sandwiches, Connor wishes he had stayed on the “juvi” ranch. Bonnie insists that Connor is going to stay right here. Mimi returns, her own clothes now muddy, and holds up the bag of bones. Mimi demands that Bonnie and Connor each convince her why she shouldn’t call the cops on them.

Pub:

Billie calls Nick on his obvious crush on Chelsea. Nick tries to deny it at first but Billie assures him she approves. Nick complains that Chelsea would rather have Shane than him. Billie suggests that Nick make a move since Shane is only doing his flirting online. Nick feels that it doesn’t matter because he’s not Chelsea’s type. Billie assures Nick that he is. Billie asks Nick if Chelsea knows how he feels and Nick complains that Chelsea uses his feelings for her to get him to do things for her. Billie isn’t surprised to hear of Chelsea acting this way. Nick asks if there’s a 12-step program for people hopelessly in love. Billie tells Nick not to give up on Chelsea because she likes him more than she’s even willingly to admit to herself. Billie hugs Nick goodbye and leaves.

Nick heads back inside and rejoins Chelsea and Abby. Nick explains that he was gone so long because he ran into a friend from work. Chelsea teases him about the friend being a hot babe. Abby makes a quick exit. Nick tries to change the subject but Chelsea won’t let him get away with it. Nick jokes that he was outside talking to someone old enough to be Chelsea’s mom but Chelsea sees it as Nick trying to “dis” Billie as being too old to be hot. Nick agrees that Billie is hot but then tries to cover it up by asking Chelsea about her studies. Chelsea allows this change of subject and answers Nick’s questions about going into the field of law. Chelsea brings up her request for Nick to find her a job at the hospital but Nick is hesitant to help. Chelsea asks if Nick is afraid she’ll embarrass him at work or isn’t the type of girl his boss would hire. Nick blurts out that Chelsea is the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen but before he can cover it up, Chelsea thanks him and is shocked at how that’s the nicest thing anyone’s said to her in a long time.

Police station:

Kate stands over EJ and tells him he’s lucky she didn’t have a gun. EJ kisses Kate’s hand as she wraps her hand around his necktie and pulls it tight around his neck. EJ pretends not to know why Kate would be so upset with him. Kate explains that her bank accounts were frozen because EJ chose to flee the country. Kate lets go of EJ’s tie. EJ claims he had no choice and Kate is angry that EJ doesn’t feel like he should have been arrested given the state John may have to spend the rest of his life in. EJ shows no remorse for his actions and Kate is surprised that EJ isn’t bothering to even deny shooting John. EJ claims the police department is only setting him up. Kate demands to know whether EJ really shot John or not. EJ claims to have been already on his way to Mexico when John was shot and implores Kate’s knowledge in his character to know he could never shoot a man in cold blood.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami insists that EJ is not her friend. Lucas asks if EJ has a lawyer yet but Roman explains that EJ may not need a lawyer because they can no longer build a case against him thanks to Lexie’s lie. Lucas is confident that Lexie and Tek will come back and then Tek can testify about seeing EJ shoot John. Roman doesn’t think that’ll work because the judge will dismiss the case once learning that Tek pressured Lexie into lying on his behalf. Sami is sure that Tek and Lexie aren’t coming back because EJ killed them.

Sami starts to worry that she’s next on EJ’s list and Lucas and Roman try to calm Sami down. Sami insists she has a right to be scared and isn’t simply emotional. Lucas makes Sami tell Roman that she’s pregnant. Roman doesn’t understand why a new baby wouldn’t be good news and Sami starts to mention EJ’s involvement. Lucas interrupts to vow to not let EJ anywhere near Sami and yells at Roman for using Sami to set EJ up and then dropping the ball. Roman insists that no one is going to hurt Sami or the baby but Lucas declares that that isn’t Roman’s job anymore for if anyone tries to hurt Sami, they’ll have to get through him first.

Police station:

Kate asks if EJ really expects her to believe he is innocent simply because he says he is. EJ gets Kate to admit that she really doubts him because he is a Dimera. EJ insists he isn’t Stefano and that he has reliable witnesses all over to swear that he wasn’t in the boathouse. Kate asks how much EJ had to pay these witnesses but EJ insists that he isn’t guilty and that he’s got lawyers working on getting Mythic back up and running. Kate is surprised that EJ still expects her to keep working with him but EJ brazenly adds that he expects Kate to keep sleeping with him and kisses her hand. Kate pulls her hand away and explains that John was a good friend to her. EJ is sure that Kate waited years to have the good life with someone like him and insists that she commit in order to keep on having such a life.

Pub:

Nick doubts Chelsea’s sincerity since she usually is only nice when she wants something. Chelsea complains that Nick won’t recommend her for a job and walks out. Nick follows her out begging her to listen to him. Chelsea claims to not want to hear excuses but Nick interrupts her to make her listen to the truth.

Lockhart house:

Mimi demands to hear the truth from Connor first. Bonnie starts to talk but Mimi yells at her to not even try to make up an excuse. Connor tries to console Mimi and begs her to leave things alone. Mimi fears that Connor and Bonnie are going to jail and threatens to call the cops on them. Bonnie doesn’t think Mimi would call the cops on her own family and Mimi dials the phone. Connor grabs the phone from Mimi’s hand and agrees to tell the truth. Bonnie tries to get him to be quiet but Connor doesn’t want to listen to Bonnie anymore. Despite Bonnie’s objection, Connor finally tells Mimi that the skeleton is that of their father.

Mimi starts to cry as she stares at the bag of bones and tries to fathom that the bones are her father’s remains. Mimi starts to feel weak and Connor and Bonnie help her to a chair. Mimi asks about the Christmas card they claimed to be from Dad and Bonnie claims it was only to placate her from asking so many questions. Mimi backs away from them and demands to know what they did to her father. Bonnie is now crying.

Pub:

Nick chickens out again and claims the truth is that he’s respected at work and doesn’t want Chelsea there teasing him. Chelsea understands and Nick is surprised that she isn’t mad at him. Chelsea apologizes.

Police station:

Kate asks EJ why he fled to Mexico and EJ blames the police department. EJ mentions Sami setting him up and Kate offers to share her own theory of what happened the night Sami saved Lucas.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami tries to calm Lucas down and assure Roman that Lucas didn’t mean to yell at him. Roman feels that Lucas is right but fears that they won’t be able to hold EJ in custody. Lucas wants Roman to tell EJ that he must face him before getting to Sami. Roman assures Sami that they’ll keep her and the baby safe and asks when he can start telling everyone about the new baby. Sami asks Roman that he honor their wishes of not telling anyone else right now and he agrees. Roman leaves. Sami is glad that Roman is happy about the baby but Lucas is still angry that the police dropped the ball on EJ. Sami stands up for the police’s efforts. Billie stops by and asks Sami if Roman stopped by because something was wrong. Lucas steps away to take a call from Victor. Sami tells Billie about EJ coming back and turning himself in. Billie sympathizes with Sami when she hears that EJ might get released. Sami declares plans to go see EJ but Billie tries to talk her out of it. Sami insists on seeing EJ now while he’s still safely behind bars.

Pub:

Chelsea insists that she’s really trying to change and Nick notices her efforts. Nick decides that he will try and get Chelsea a job at the hospital even though he’s afraid he’ll embarrass himself.

Police station:

EJ pretends to be glad for Sami when Kate talks of all the accolades she’s been getting for the rescue. Kate tells EJ about Sami lifting the heavy beam off of Lucas all by herself. EJ goes along with the story but Kate asks for EJ’s reaction to her theory of Sami having help that night. EJ pretends to not know of what Kate is referring to so Kate outright accuses EJ of being the one to help Sami. EJ denies it but Kate stands over him again and accuses him of needing Sami’s help to get past the roadblock. EJ uses his teeth to undo the strap around Kate’s jacket. EJ kisses Kate’s hand and accuses her of trying to seduce him. EJ gloats to Kate about how Sami is about to become Kate’s daughter in law.

Sami’s apartment:

Billie is adamant against Sami seeing EJ but Sami is insistent though she swears she’d help the police again if asked. Billie points out that Lucas would never allow it so Sami asks Billie to claim that Sami is going out with her instead. Billie is hesitant to agree so she makes Sami swear on a phone book that she’ll be extra careful. Billie pretends to have been looking in the phone book when Lucas returns with news that Victor wants to see him first thing in the morning and may not be home until dinner. Sami assures Lucas that she’ll be fine. Billie leaves them to get to bed. Sami claims that she’ll spend tomorrow trying out cooking recipes. Lucas is still hesitant to leave Sami alone but Sami assures him that she’ll be at home and safely waiting for him.

Pub:

Nick jokes about how he’d embarrass himself by going wild. Chelsea hopes she’d be there working by then to see it and promises to make Nick proud. Nick insists he’s already proud of her and Chelsea is shocked to hear such nice things said about her. Chelsea fights back the tears and Nick makes her admit that she really likes him.

Lockhart house:

Mimi demands to know what happened to her dad and Bonnie refuses to answer. Mimi takes that to mean that Bonnie murdered the man and becomes even angrier when Bonnie doesn’t deny it. Connor asks Mimi to pretend she never saw anything but Mimi refuses. Mimi begs Connor to tell her the truth.

Connor claims that he doesn’t know what happened to their dad, he only got involved when Bonnie asked for his help in hiding the bones. Mimi criticizes Connor for not having enough strength to break the cycle and be different than Bonnie. Connor storms out. Mimi tells Bonnie that she’s planning to take the bones to the police station, identify them as her father’s remains, and tell the police what Bonnie and Connor did. Bonnie acts shocked that Mimi would send her to jail. Mimi gives Bonnie the deadline of morning to tell her the truth before she goes to the police and then takes the bag of bones to lock up in her room.

Pub:

Chelsea admits that she’s always liked Nick but was so used to teasing him. Nick explains that he was only being a friend by sticking by her. Chelsea tells Nick that he inspires her and that she’s sorry for mistreating him. Chelsea has Nick promise to be her friend no matter what and kisses him on the cheek before walking away.

Sami’s apartment:

Lucas is worried about Victor being on the warpath and plans to speak his true feelings about Claire belonging with Belle and Shawn. Sami agrees that Claire at least belongs with Belle. Sami claims to be exhausted but Lucas convinces her to stay up a little longer and they kiss.

Police station:

Kate is now convinced that EJ helped Sami rescue Lucas. EJ denies it and offers to have his attorneys draw up dissolution papers since he can’t run Mythic on his own. EJ gives Kate the deadline of tomorrow morning to decide whether she wants to remain partners with him and calls for the officers to come take him away. The officer takes off the handcuffs that had EJ bound to the chair. EJ walks over to Kate, tells her he is going to miss her, and kisses her goodbye. The officer leads EJ away.
