New day at Forrester Creations, Brooke is buzzing about trying to meet all her deadlines with Megan filling her in on the various activities. Employee Micah knocks on the door and ushers in two models with his new cruise line. He proceeds to sell his fantasy of – alone on a yacht but with a handsome yet brooding captain. You’re in your newest Forrester original. It’s a dark and stormy night; the boat is rocking. It’s frightening, yet romance is in the air. Brooke gets lost in her remembrance with Nick – “it’s you, Nick. You’re the man I’m supposed to be with, not Rdige, but you, etc.”

Meanwhile at Marone Industries, Andrea also is interrupting Nick’s same flashback. She tells him he has a visitor and he assumes it’s Captain Seager and is not too pleasantly surprised when Dante walks in. Nicks grumbles he has nothing to say to him. Dante thinks that is fine; it will give him all the time just to listen to what he has to say.

Over at Taylor’s new office, Margaret is telling her the other associate just left last week and they tried not to change much, just some new paint, carpeting Taylor thinks it looks great. They hug as Margaret tells her she’s glad she is back. Hector, in uniform, knocks on the door carrying a potted plant though he does not have an appointment. Taylor thanks him and says this is exactly what she needs; now all she needs is some patients. He tells her she seems to be the type of person that deep down likes to help others. She says yeah, they both seem to have that in common – saving people’s lives, only hers isn’t quite the same as his. He jokes that he bets she has talked more than one person off the ledge. She admits it means a lot to her to make a difference. He is so caught up in her presence, he finally remembers to give her the plant. Ridge walks in behind and wants to know what’s going on? Nonplussed, Hector says he just stopped by to wish Taylor good luck. Ridge offers it seems everyone knew about her return except him. When she offers to explain, he says it’s okay, at least he could keep in touch through the children. It was thoughtful of her to let them know in case of emergency. She says she just made the decision. Mr. Smarty pops off again that yet another decision she made without consulting the family. Hector asks him to go easy on Taylor, this could be a good thing for her. Ridge deadpans that doesn’t he have a fire to put out somewhere? Taylor dismisses him by thanking him for coming and for the plant; she’ll see him later.

Ridge asks her what’s going on and she’s all excited about the office, like she never left. It’ll be good for her, good for the family, good for all of them. He seems a little less than impressed. He tells her but she did leave; left her work and her family for years. She couldn’t just walk back in and expect to pick back up where she left off. She says she knows that. He continues that she had said she wanted to work on their marriage; their problems at home; spend more time with the girls. She scoffs that the girls aren’t even home; they are in school during the day and Thomas has moved out. At the mention of Thomas, Ridge says that is why he was looking for her He tells him they talked and in the typical Forrester fashion, they are going to settle their differences on the runway. He fills her in and if he wins, which he will, Thomas has agreed to end this ridiculous marriage and quit Spectra. Taylor asks what will happen if he doesn’t win? Ridge insists twice that he will. Still she hammers, what if not? What did Ridge agree to. He answers that they will accept Gaby into the family. But, he tells her again he’s going to win. She’s not happy; she can’t believe he put his son’s entire future on the line with a runway showdown. Ridge still maintains it’s a sure thing. Trust him. She replies no, no it’s not. What kind of message is he sending Thomas? She can’t believe he did this.

Nick glances at Dante and says okay, he wants to say something to him? He’ll treat him like an egg (turns hourglass upside down); Go! Dante plunges right in. “Pretty amazing woman, isn’t she?” Nick asks which one? Dimples says Brooke, giving up the man she loves for her daughter. That shows character, and he has some too. It couldn’t have been easy for him the other night. Dante could tell, but Nick kept it together for Bridget’s sake. Yeah, he had to respect that. But, he also wonders how long he can put his true feelings aside. How long will it be before Bridget finds out he can’t stay away from Brooke? Nick tells him, “for your information, Dr. Phil, I’m marrying Bridget tonight on my boat.” A captain friend of his was dropping by and they were going to get this over with. Dante smiles and says, “Getting it over with? How romantic!” Nick points out this is his third road-trip so he’s not gonna act like some weak-kneed schoolboy. Dante quips that no, he’s going to save that for Bridget’s mother. Nick shoots him a look.

The phone rings and Brooke tells Megan she will have those figures for her in a moment. She lovingly glances at a photo of Nick and Bridget on her desk; picks it up and begins to put it in her desk drawer when Bridget enters. She asks her mom if she is busy. Brooke tells her she is swamped. Micah’s new cruise line needs approval; Eric wanted a budget for the holiday rollout and she was meeting with Hong Kong people at 2:00. Bridget tells her she’ll get out of her hair, but Brooke jumps up and ushers her in and says she always has time for her. She offers her to sit down and does she want some water? Bridget declines and says she really only came by to tell her she thought it was really nice, the four of them going to dinner the other night. She said she thought Brooke and Dante had had a very good time. Brooke admits she did. Bridget continues she was worried at first because she thought Nick might be angry or jealous. Brooke tells her she knows things have been strained between them lately, but she doesn’t want her to feel uncomfortable or shy. She wants her to be able to tell her anything. She wants to be best friends; closer than they’ve ever been. Bridget says she too. So Brooke urges her to continue with what she was going to say. Like a schoolgirl, Bridget shyly gushes how they had gone back to the boat and how intensely passionate Nick had been, touching her and loving her. He’d barely said a word but it was like he wanted her to know she was his. He took her and it was like they had become one again. It was like nothing she had experienced before. She was completely lost in him. He had taken her to places she had never dreamed she could go. Brooke thinks that is wonderful and is so happy for her. Bridget says afterwards that he’d said he was never going back again. Brooke found that interesting. Bridget said she’d even asked him about it and he said he meant he was never going back to his life of searching. He’d found what he’d always been looking for. He’d said out of darkness, he’d found the truth.

Taylor and Ridge continue to spar; she doesn’t like the fact that it’s a competition between him and her son determining his future. What kind of message is that? She announces that is not the way to teach him responsibility. Ridge tells her something had to be done; he was considering not going to college. Did she know that? She’s aghast. Ridge says yeah he’s really digging his heels in with this Gaby thing. She wonders how they think he’ll have a future if they don’t go to school. Ridge counters oh he’ll have a great future, thanks to Sally. She wants to extend his contract due to his first successful showing. “So you tell me, you’re an eighteen year old; you’re married to a hot, little number. You’re arguing with your parents. What would you do?” She still doesn’t like it and he asks if she really thinks he doesn’t have the talent to compete with someone with no training and no experience. She tells him she is not talking about whether he will win or not. He assures her Sally thinks he might as she had leveled the playing field by suggesting a teen line for both of them. She thinks that would help Thomas and give him the advantage. She states so he wins and they win their son back. Ridge replies yes, he gets an annulment and moves back home. Taylor continues and if Thomas wins, they welcome Gaby into the family. That is something she will never do.

Dante asks does Nick believe he can be committed to Bridget considering the way he feels about Brooke. Nicks swirls and walks over very close to him and tells him, “let me explain something to you, Picasso”. He explains that he loves Bridget and the baby she is carrying. And he emphasizes the baby deserves to come into this world with a loving mother and father. They have his FULL commitment, both of them. “And nothing you say is going to change that. So, get out of my business. And as far as Brooke goes, that little charade you pulled the other night is over. That circus left town.” Dante finds this amusing and muses if he is so committed to Bridget, then it doesn’t matter who Brooke dates; does it? Nick comes even closer, almost nose to nose and glares at him and tells him to stay away from Brooke. Dante just grins.

Megan interrupts and tells Brooke some figures are needed now. Bridget apologizes for going on and on when Brooke has work to do. Brooke tells her work can wait. And Bridget explains she was just so relieved; that she and Nick had put all this junk behind them. And she thinks they are going to end up stronger than they were before. Brooke tells her she is so happy for her. Bridget further gushes that she thinks this baby she is carrying, is such a special thing, it’s brought them even more closer. She thinks it’s cleared up a lot for them. Brooke goes along and tells her how wonderful it is and it’s just started. No one deserves it more than her. Bridget hugs her.

Later, sitting on the couch, with tears in her eyes, and then down her cheeks, Brooke remembers times she is telling Nick it’s him, it’s always been him. Nick is singing Going Back Again to her, caressing her face; giving her an engagement ring; singing and playing the guitar to her; comforting her over Hope; cuddling with Hope in the middle of Brooke’s bed; dancing with her; kissing her; wanting her on his boat. Suddenly he is shaken back to the real world as Bridget enters and says, “Ahoy, Captain. Shall I be swabbin’ the floor or winding the sail?” He offers that it’s actually swabbing the deck and hoisting the sails. She flirts that where would he be without his sassy wench? He corrects her, the pirates said ‘saucy wench’. She plops down on the couch beside him, kisses him and says whatever, she’s just floating from last night. He says last night was pretty amazing. She replies it was, she even told her mother. He’s surprised at that. Bridget says she really appreciated it; Brooke had been wanting them to get closer; like best friends. It was nice to confide in her. “I’ve got my best friend; I’ve got the man I love and I’ve got my baby---my life is so complete. Our life is so complete.” Nick tells her she’s wrong, it is not complete. He tells her that he did something he hasn’t told her about. He’s called a captain friend of his and he’s coming to the boat tonight; just the two of them and he’s going to marry them. She asks because of the baby? He replies if he’s going to be the best father in the world, they gotta be married. She asks if he is asking her to marry him. He agrees it’s not like the first time. She giggles, then sighs but she wants it to be just as wonderful as the first time. She slips off her ring and hands it to him.

He glances at her sheepishly, gets down almost on one knee on floor and one on couch and says, “Bridget Forrester, I love you. Will you marry me?” She beams as she kisses him, then puts her arms around his neck that yes, she will. "Oh, it feels so wonderful. All this drama is behind us and we are never – never--- going back again". He echoes never again.
