Episode #12122 ~ Victor pushes Billy's buttons. Summer turns to Sharon for guidance. Nikki makes note of the chemistry between Victoria and Ashland.

Sharon: Hey, you want a refill?

Summer: Uh, no, I'm okay. Thanks.

Sharon: Hey, nick mentioned to me that you've been dealing with some problems, and I don't want to pry or anything, but if you want to talk to someone about that, I'd be willing to listen.

Summer: That's the last thing that I'd want right now.

Sharon: Oh, okay. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to overstep.

Summer: No, I'M... look, I'm sorry. It's not you, it... okay, I can't talk about the situation right now because I'm afraid if I start, I won't be able to start crying.

Tara: Great job, harrison.

Kyle: Tara, you had me scared there for a moment when I got to the house and you and harrison weren't there. So relieved.

Tara: Where did you think we were?

Kyle: I don't know. I imagined ashland already made a move to get custody or you got scared and left town.

Tara: Oh, we wouldn't have just disappeared on you. I just didn't see the point in hiding out anymore, now that ashland knows where we're staying.

Kyle: Still. I wish you'd told me you were coming to the park. I would've come with you.

Tara: Kyle. I just -- I've already asked so much from you. You have a life. I didn't want to keep imposing.

Kyle: Oh, you and harrison are not an imposition. You're my priority right now.

Ashland: I must say, I'm very impressed at how efficiently you and adam have handled this transition. As a board member, i wholeheartedly approve.

Victor: That's nice to hear. Ashland, I guess that's why you sold the company to us. You expected no less.

Ashland: True. I guess I should have also expected the hit piece by chanccomm attempting to discredit you and newman media without us even getting out of the gate.

Victor: Well, that's typical billy boy abbott.

Ashland: [ Laughs ] I was rather amused by the carefully worded insinuation that you took advantage of my heart attack to secure the deal. It was a nice little jab. Not that it didn't happen that way, but... I imagine you're planning a commensurate retaliation.

Victor: In due time. Mm-hmm. You know the driving force behind this article, of course, was billy boy. But lily had to sign off on it. But...they're fully aware of what they're up against.

Adam: Hey, buddy! So good to see your face, connor.

Connor: Where's mom? I want to talk to her, too.

Adam: I'm sorry. She's busy right now. She's having some treatments. But she wanted me to tell you that she loves you very much. You're making us very proud with all those good grades and that big goal you scored on the soccer field.

Connor: I wish you could've seen it. Everybody cheered.

Adam: I wish I could've been there too, buddy.

Connor: I miss you both so much. Tell mom I love her.

Adam: I will. And we love you, too. And don't worry, everything is gonna be fine.

Connor: Okay. Bye, dad.

Adam: Goodbye, son.

[ Knock on door ]

Nick: I didn't want to interrupt. I couldn't help but overhear.

Adam: I, uh, couldn't tell him about chelsea. I know you understand...needing to do what's best for your kid.

Nick: Yeah, be just too much for him.

Adam: Just grateful he's doing so well. Thank god I've been able to shield him from everything that's happened with chelsea. And I don't think I'm giving him false hope. She is going to recover. She is.

Nick: What's the plan when she does recover, adam? Are you imagining some reconciliation? I mean, do you think there's a chance both of you will be able to forgive what you two did to each other?

Adam: [ Sighs ]

Lily: Sharon, hi. Can I get two coffees to go, please?

Sharon: Sure, coming up.

Lily: Oh, also, I have a new address, so you can have your amazing supply of coffee delivered there now.

Sharon: You moved out of the grand phoenix?

Lily: Yeah, I just felt like it was time. But it's 340 east chestnut, apartment 504.

Sharon: Okay. Well, I hope you enjoy your new place.

Lily: Thank you.

Victoria: Did I hear right?

Lily: Victoria, hi. I didn't know that you were back in town.

Victoria: Yeah, I'm just coming from the airport. I thought I'd stop by and get a cup of coffee on my way to the office. So you moved out of the hotel?

Lily: Yes, today, actually.

Sharon: Here you go.

Lily: Thank you.

Victoria: Did you move in to your new place by yourself or are you and billy moving in together? Your mission:

Lily: Billy and I found this great apartment, and it was perfect, so we didn't want to lose it so we kind of just jumped on it.& It happened very fast, but we planned to tell you as soon as you got back in town.

Victoria: Well, I'm back, and now you have.

Lily: Well, we would love to discuss it further with you, you know, make sure the transition is smooth for johnny and katie and make sure we're on the same page.

Victoria: Of course. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some work that I have to take care of at the office.

Lily: [ Sighs ]

Ashland: Well, I guess that about covers all the questions i have.

Victor: If you don't mind, ashland, a personal question, how are you holding up? I know how difficult divorces can be and how messy they can end up financially.

Ashland: Well, fortunately, that's not gonna be a problem for me, seeing as I have an ironclad prenup in place.

Victor: Oh, yeah.

Ashland: Tara will be walking away with as little of my money as possible.

Victor: Yeah, a wife's infidelity is reason enough for a divorce. And reason enough to cut her off financially.

Ashland: Yeah, you better believe it is.

Victor: But I'm certain you will want to do what's best for your son.

Ashland: You know, I haven't quite decided how to proceed on that front. I suspect that you're suggesting that I step back and take a more measured approach. But let me be clear that I have never been one to keep my personal feelings out of any decision I make. It's just not in my dna.

Victor: [ Chuckles ]

Tara: Harrison was going a little stir crazy cooped up in the house, even with that big backyard.

Kyle: Yeah, sounds just like me. I never wanted to be inside, no matter the season.

Tara: Just gives me so much joy to watch him running around, happy, full of life, carefree, without a worry in the world.

Kyle: [ Sighs ] I remember the feeling. I was always riding a bike or off with my friends playing ball, going nonstop.

Tara: Harrison is just like that, too. Except for the bicycle part, of course. Not yet at least.

Kyle: I can't wait to teach him how to ride one.

Tara: [ Chuckles ]

Kyle: Teaching my son how to ride a bike.

[ Chuckles ] Imagine that.

Seeing blood when you brush or floss can be a sign of early gum damage.

Adam: Well, I have to be honest, I haven't given much thought to what's gonna happen when chelsea gets out of the hospital. I don't know if there's any coming back after what happened. And all I can focus on right now is connor.

Nick: Yeah, I can see why you're so determined to protect your son. I never once doubted your love for him, and I sure hope chelsea can get through this. And I know you're doing everything in your power to make sure she gets the help and treatment she needs.

Adam: Well, actually, dad has been a big help in that department. He's the one that found the doctor to help her with the treatment, and he's the one that lobbied the D.A. To accept an insanity plea.

Nick: Makes sense. I know how badly dad would like you to be able to focus on your new business venture. Dad is very invested in this, and not just financially.

Adam: You think that's why he did it?

Nick: Why else would he?

Adam: Maybe he just wanted to help the mother of his grandson. Have you considered that possibility?

Nick: After everything chelsea did -- setting you up like that, forcing you to go on the run? I highly doubt helping chelsea's at the top of dad's to-do list.

Adam: Well, I guess we'll never know how his mind works.

Nick: And I guess that means you're not gonna tell me what dad's real agenda is.

Adam: You are just determined to think the worst of me and him, aren't you?

Nick: Maybe I'm wrong, adam. You know, maybe dad really is keeping you out of the loop on this one.

Adam: Then why are you insinuating he's up to something? Are you trying to get me to have doubts about him?

Nick: Nah, it's really more your style, right? Although not lately. Does seem like you've seen the error of your ways.

Adam: Then why are you so fixated on dad helping chelsea?

Nick: You know, I just... I find it odd, but I think it's even odder that you don't seem to have any questions about it.

Adam: It's the best possible outcome for her. And he's had my back ever since I was falsely accused of poisoning rey.

Nick: Alright. I don't want to argue about it.

Adam: Neither do I.

Nick: Cool.

Adam: So why don't we stop wasting time talking about him and why don't you tell me why you stopped by?

Nick: Well, I talked to devon. We -- we have decided to accept your offer of newman media sponsoring and promoting new hope.

Adam: Wow. I, uh -- I didn't know which way you were gonna go on this.

Nick: Well, there's also dad's very questionable behavior at times, but I think the benefit to new hope outweighs any of the risk. So we're in. Let's hope it works out.

Victor: Well, now, I'll be damned. You sneaking out of the building after that ridiculous article against newman media, is that it? Huh?

Billy: Well, you know me, i don't run away from things. Although I'm betting ashland wishes he did. I'm sure he's second-guessing -- again -- going into business with you and adam.

Victor: [ Laughs ] You know, he read your damn article. He thought it was amusing.

Billy: Mm.

Victor: But mostly he thought it was hypocritical.

Billy: Hypocritical, really?

Victor: Yeah, because he remembers you wanting him not to sell to adam and me because you told him that we would use cyaxares as a personal vendetta. It's funny, you know.

Billy: Hmm?

Victor: You claim to hate adam and me, yet we are the centerpiece of your media drive. It's almost flattering.

Billy: I can see how hard you're trying to act like that article didn't bother you, victor. I appreciate the effort. See, that's the thing, I know you too well, and I know you're planning something right now, some kind of retribution. To that, all I can say is you do you, and we'll be ready.

Victor: Yeah. Fasten your seatbelt, billy boy.

Billy: [ Chuckles ]

Kyle: I hope you don't think I'm getting ahead of myself.

Tara: No! Of course not. I was hoping you'd want to be all in and share these types of moments with harrison. I couldn't be happier that you want to be a positive presence in his life.

Kyle: Yeah, but you're facing potentially nasty battle with ashland. I doubt he'll be happy about my involvement.

Tara: No, I'm sure he won'T.

Kyle: You've got to be focused on what your next steps are.

Tara: I've talked to my lawyer about the positive paternity test, and they very much think that it will help my case. And they even suggested that we try for a much more aggressive approach.

Kyle: What do they mean by that?

Tara: They're suggesting that I try for sole custody.

Sharon: Sorry I had to step away.

Summer: Oh, yeah, that's okay.

Sharon: So, I want to hear about what's going on with you.

Summer: I don't know, I can't really give any more details that my dad did. It's all gonna come out eventually. I just don't feel right saying anything more at the moment.

Sharon: No, I understand. I just want to tell you the same thing I said to nick. Love is messy, and marriage is even messier. We try to weave our lives with someone else, and somehow, we never plan for the fact that those strands, they can come loose or become frayed or even snap all together.

Summer: Well, that's encouraging.

Sharon: Well, no, but it is, because it's perfectly normal. And the best part of it is you can come back from seemingly insurmountable problems. Take it from me. It's not always easy, but that can be done. You do not have to accept some amount of unhappiness in order to be together. You know what? Everybody's gonna give you advice and their opinion, but the only two people in this relationship are you and kyle.

Summer: But what if it's not just the two of us? - Oh. - What's going on?

Tara: Sole custody doesn't mean I want you out of harrison's life. I want you in our son's life.

Kyle: Okay. What about ashland?

Tara: I'm torn. I mean, I want him in harrison's life, too, but, I mean, I'm just worried that he's gonna try and damage the relationship between me and my son. He could vilify me or tell him about my affair with you.

Kyle: Not even ashland would drag a 3-year-old into something like that, would he?

Tara: [ Sighs ] Don't doubt that ashland is that vindictive. I wish I didn't have to consider these things, but based on my experience with the man, I don't have a choice.

Kyle: [ Sighs ] Harrison loves his father very much. It's important he doesn't suddenly lose that connection. It could break his little heart.

Tara: I would understand if you were rooting for me to boot ash out of harrison's life -- I mean, given the way he's treated you.

Kyle: I have to put harrison's needs first.

Tara: [ Chuckles ] You have only been with him for a few days, and yet you're so concerned about his wellbeing. I'm impressed.

Kyle: I would like to think any parent would do the same. Although, according to you, locke thinks differently.

Tara: Oh. I mean, I hope there's a way that I can preserve their relationship and protect myself.

Kyle: I think in the end, ashland will do what's best for harrison.

Tara: You are quite the optimist.

Kyle: I just like to think that this little boy brings out the best in everyone.

Tara: He obviously does in you. What about summer? Have you guys talked about how this will work?

Kyle: No, we started to. It's a lot to take in.

Tara: Yeah. Doesn't have to mean any big changes. I'm sure that's summer's worry, that you won't be around much, but if harrison and I live close by, you'll have easy access to your son.

Kyle: I still can't get used to that phrase. My son. I know none of us ever thought we would get to this point, but we have. You asked me if I was all in. That's good, because that's what I want, too. And summer absolutely understands that.

Sharon: It's not just the two of you? You mean, is kyle...

Summer: No. No, kyle's not cheating. Nobody's cheating on anybody. It's just...a really complicated situation that is moving incredibly fast.

Sharon: Okay, I've been there. You're feeling overwhelmed, like everything is moving at a pace that's out of your control.

Summer: Yeah. Yeah, that's exactly it.

Sharon: [ Sighs ] Okay, here's the good news -- it's not out of your control. I mean, you can't control what other people do. No, that is out of your hands. But you can choose how you're gonna respond to what others do. Take it from me -- let go of whatever fear you're holding on to. And think about what's best for you and what you really need, and then act from there.

Summer: Yeah. Yeah, okay, thank you, sharon. Really, thank you so much. That advice means a lot to me.

Victor: Thank you, son.

Adam: You're just in time for the good news.

Victor: Oh, yeah?

Adam: New hope has accepted our proposal.

Victor: Well, I'll be damned. Makes me happy to see the two of you work together and trust each other.

Nick: Let's not go overboard.

Victor: You mean that's going too far.

Nick: I think we need to be realistic about the expectations.

Victor: Uh-huh. Well, now, I think my expectations are exactly where they belong. You know? The two of you working together, side by side, something I've been wanting to see for a long time. It's a dream of mine, you know.

Adam: You hear that, nicholas? Our father actually dreams.

Victor: [ Laughs ]

Nick: I thought he only had nightmares.

Adam: Well, I guess that only means one thing, then.

Nick: What will happen if dad's dreams do come true and we do start getting along?

Adam: I'm not sure. Can pop really be okay with things being calm and predictable? Boring, even?

Victor: You really think so? Have things ever been boring around victor newman? Huh? There will be conflicts to solve, battles to fight, fires to put out. There's one difference now.

Nick: You think so?

Victor: The two of you, instead of being the cause of those battles and conflicts, you're now by my side and you will help me win those battles, put out those fires.

Billy: Victor acted all nonchalant, like he could care less about the piece we put out about him taking advantage of locke and his heart attack in order to get control of cyaxares -- or shall I say newman media? 'Cause of course he's gonna name it after himself. He's that creative.

Lily: Did he really think that he could con us into letting our guard down?

Billy: Apparently, yes.

Lily: Like we would just expect him now to not retaliate?

Billy: That's exactly what i said to him. We know he's coming after us. I told him we'll be ready.

Lily: So how'd he respond?

Billy: He did what victor does -- he smiled his smug smile and he walked away.

Lily: Right, okay. Well, whatever happens, we'll handle it. We have a more immediate issue on hand right now, and it is non-business related.

Billy: Okay.;

Lily: Um, victoria learned that we moved in together.

Victoria: Yes, I did hear the news from lily.

Victoria: Well, I stopped by crimson lights, and I just happened to hear lily discussing her change of address with -- with sharon.

Lily: Yeah, I wanted to discuss it with you further, but it was too bad you had to run off.

Victoria: Oh, I'm sorry about that. I did have an urgent business matter that I needed to attend to, and I really wanted to get home and see the kids. So, lily told me that you had to act fast so that you didn't lose this place.

Billy: Yeah, we did. It's been great. Listen, I was gonna talk to you about this once you got back into town. And I know we need to speak about the kids. This is a new living arrangement. It has to be handled the correct way, so...

Victoria: Oh, no worries. Lily told me the same thing.

Billy: Oh, great.

Victoria: I'm not upset.

[ Sighs ] I'm actually kind of happy for you.

Billy: Uh, thank you. We appreciate that.

Victoria: Now, you're gonna want to find a good location for this plant. It's gonna need a lot of sunlight I think.

Lily: I'm sure we'll be able to take care of it.

Victoria: You know, the kids seem genuinely fond of you. I can tell that they feel comfortable spending time with you. I think they'll enjoy visiting here.

Billy: They will. We just have to get some actual furniture in their room, and once we do, we'll have a little slumber party.

Victoria: That sounds great.

Lily: Billy, why don't you give victoria a tour and show her where the kids' rooms are.

Billy: Yeah, sure, and let me take that from you.

Victoria: Oh, no, I don't& think so. If this plant has any chance of survival, I think we should let lily handle it. As I recall, you don't have anything close to a green thumb.

Billy: Really, I killed a few fern plants in my days, and i don't get a second chance at that?

Lily: It's okay. I got this.

[ Knock on door ]

Victor: Well, my goodness, baby, come in! What a surprise.

Nikki: Well, I just wanted to stop by and get a look at your new offices.

Victor: Well, but coming by unannounced almost ruined the surprises I have in store for you later. Happy birthday.

Nikki: Thank you. Surprises, huh? You mean to tell me after all these years and more magnificent gifts than I can count, you are still spoiling me?

Victor: You'll find out later on when we celebrate.

Nikki: I will spend the rest of the day looking forward to it.

Victor: By the way, you'll be happy that nicholas has agreed to let newman media promote and sponsor his charity new hope.

Nikki: Oh, really?

Victor: Yeah. And what is most surprising and makes me very happy is to see adam and nicholas actually get along, you know, working together. That's remarkable to see the change in their relationship. So, how do you like my new headquarters?

Nikki: Well, I think that the name newman media seems like a not-so-subtle dig at victoria now that she has asserted herself at newman enterprises.

Victor: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What you're forgetting is that I'm the one who created newman media when I ran newman enterprises, okay? Victoria decided to sell off that division, so she has no right to that name.

Nikki: Alright, I don't have time to argue with you about it. I have to go meet victoria. Um, by the way...

Victor: Yes?

Nikki: I have noticed that you have shown little interest in newman enterprises these days.

Victor: Sweetheart, is that a surprise to you? Why would I show interest in newman enterprises when victoria's made it perfectly clear she does not need my advice?

Nikki: Exactly.

Tara: Thank you.

Kyle: Mm-hmm.

[ Grunts ] Hey, little man. Looks like you worked up a sweat chasing that ball out there.

Tara: Bet you were having fun.

Kyle: Yeah. Maybe some ice cream would cool you off. What do you think about that? Yeah, you'd like that? What do you think, mom?

Tara: I think that sounds great. I wonder what flavor harrison wants.

Kyle: Ooh, I bet they have some delicious spinach ice cream over there. That's your favorite, right?

Harrison: No.

Kyle: No? What about vanilla?

Tara: He loves chocolate.

Kyle: Well, chocolate it is, then. That's my favorite. I'll be right back.

Tara: No, you stay. I'll go. I want to check out the flavors anyway.

Kyle: You sure?

Tara: Yeah. I will be right back, little man.

Kyle: I've got a lot to learn about you.

[ Chuckles ] Now that we've covered ice cream...what's next? Hmm. You're a little young to have a favorite baseball team. I know... shoes. What's your favorite -- your right or your left?

[ Laughs ] Yeah, that was a silly question. Um, what about toys? Do you like race cars or dump trucks you can fill sand with?

Harrison: Uh...race cars.

Kyle: Race cars, great choice. Race cars are cool because they make fun noises, like vroom! Vroom!

Harrison: Daddy!

Kyle: Daddy? Daddy! Daddy!

Harrison: Daddy!

Kyle: Daddy!

[ Laughs ] Look at this guy.

Kyle: You gonna kick it? So, I'm new to this whole daddy thing, alright? So I'm counting on you to tell me when I'm doing a good job and when I'm messing up, okay?

[ Laughs ]

Tara: Kyle, harrison, come get your cones!

Kyle: Hey, wait for me!

[ Laughs ]

Billy: Well, I think that went pretty well. And I think it is clear -- and now you can see -- that victoria has no more feelings for me whatsoever.

Lily: Do not try and pretend like she never said she wanted you back, when she told you that to your face.

Billy: Hey, I'm just saying.

Lily: But, you know, maybe she realized that you're really not all that and move on.

Billy: Ooh! That hurts. And I truly hope that someone around here disagrees with that rather harsh assessment.

Lily: Mm-hmm. I mean, honestly, you're lucky i even put up with you.

Billy: Yeah, that's true. You are out of my league, which sucks for you because now your name is one the lease so you're contractually obligated to be with me now.

Lily: I know. I'm such a lucky girl.

Billy: Mm-hmm.

Lily: Speaking of which, you think victoria's getting lucky these days?

Billy: Um...

Lily: You know, I'm saying 'cause she was so cool with us moving in together, maybe she's moved on to someone else.

Billy: Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I have seen her a few times with ashland locke. If she is with another guy, i hope she's not with that guy.

Victoria: Happy birthday, mom.

Nikki: Oh, thank you. And let me say, I am so glad that you're back. Your father and I missed you.

Victoria: Oh, I missed you too. And the kids can't wait to see you. They have some very special presents waiting for you. But you will never guess what they are most excited about.

Nikki: Um...tell me.

Victoria: The cake and the ice cream. They were kind of hoping that you might stop by before breakfast.

Nikki: [ Laughs ] Well, it sounds like I better get over there as soon as possible.

Victoria: And I have us booked for the works at the grand phoenix spa so we can do a little mother-daughter bonding time.

Nikki: Oh, darling, that's wonderful. I guess I'm gonna have to rearrange my schedule to accommodate all of these invitations. But right now I need to discuss something with you.

Victoria: Oh, no. Your tone makes me feel like this may be bad news. Oh, come on, wait a minute, mom. Is this about lily and billy moving in together?

Nikki: Oh, you've heard.

Victoria: I just came from there. I delivered a plant and my best wishes.

Nikki: Are you kidding me? You actually went over to their new place to visit and brought a house-warming gift?

Victoria: I know exactly what you're thinking right now. You are questioning my motives.

Nikki: Oh, well, you are my daughter.

Victoria: You just can't accept the fact that I am not threatened or intimidated by billy's new romance. I'm happy for him. Really, mom, I am. Ashland, hi. Are you okay?

Ashland: Ladies. Yeah, just going through some messy times with divorce, which is to be expected. However, that's the last thing i want to talk about. Looks like I'm in the middle of a celebration, and I'm probably not the best of company.

Victoria: I'm really sorry. I wish there were something i could do. You'd never want leftover onion residue

Ashland: I appreciate the offer to help, but there's really nothing anybody can do at this point.

Victoria: I'm so sorry.

Ashland: But if you'll have dinner with me later, I promise to be in better spirits. Plus, I could use the company. Of course, the offer's extended to you, as well.

Nikki: Oh, well, thank you, ashland. That's very gracious of you, but I have plans with my husband tonight.

Victoria: Well, I, on the other hand, would love to have dinner.

Ashland: Great. It'll be the highlight of my day. Talk later.

Nikki: You want to tell me what the hell that was about?

Victoria: Well, we've become friends.

Nikki: Friends?

Victoria: Yeah, that's all.

Sharon: Well, this is a surprise, you working with your father and adam together.

Nick: It's a great deal for new hope.

Sharon: Well, I know that you wouldn't have agreed if you hadn't seen a genuine change in adam.

Nick: Well, that's my dilemma. You know, this new dynamic between us, it may not be permanent.

Sharon: Well, I know that it's hard for you to trust him, given your history.

Nick: Yeah, I can't forget about the past, you know? But then I think about all the things he's done recently -- things that I never thought he was capable of doing. He risked everything to get faith to the hospital, he came back to that destroyed farmhouse to rescue me, and on top of all that, he's faith's organ donor. I mean, he saved our daughter's life. Maybe you were the one person who had a real insight into this guy.

Sharon: Well, having forgiveness, especially from someone like you, is just what adam needs to let go of all the anger and the darkness that has, at times, really disrupted his life.

Nick: You really think that I'll make a difference?

Sharon: You giving adam this chance, now you're the one who's saving his life.

Nick: [ Sighs ]

Victor: Good, you're back. Take a look at your e-mail, okay? Let me know what you think.

Adam: What's going on?

Victor: I hired an executive from chanccomm to help us refine our attack on billy boy abbott.

Adam: [ Sighs ] I thought we were putting that on hold for the time being.

Victor: Never soon enough. Tell me what you think.

Adam: [ Clears throat ] Honestly, I think we should put a pin in this.

Victor: What's the problem?

Adam: Look, I'm not saying no to the idea. We just have other priorities right now. We can circle back to this when the time is right.

Victor: Well, I disagree.

Adam: I guess that's bound to happen. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree sometimes.

Victor: Alright. We let it go for now.

Kyle: Harrison seems pretty wiped out.

Tara: Oh, don't fall for that. He's definitely going to catch a second wind.

Kyle: Really? His eyes were drooping and he got kind of quiet.

Tara: Yep, that's how it goes. And then you're lulled into a false sense of tranquility, and then bam, he's back at it again ready for action and in need of attention.

Kyle: I love that.

Tara: Hmm, love what?

Kyle: Hearing all these little details about my son.

Tara: You're really happy about this, aren't you?

Kyle: Well, I had a wonderful time today. Hearing harrison's laugh makes my heart skip a beat. When he calls me daddy, I hadn't realized how much it would mean to me until he said it. I feel like my heart's about to burst wide open.

Tara: Well, harrison obviously feels a connection to you. And it does my heart good to see you guys bonding.
