Episode #12117 ~ Victoria and Ashland find common ground. Lily and Billy take a big step in their relationship.
Provided By Suzanne
Lily: So, have you talked to abby about tomorrow?
Devon: I have. We're all set up. Are you and moses working on the invite?
Lily: Yep, we're almost finished. We're really pulling this off, aren't we?
Devon: Yeah, we're pulling it off.
Lily: [ Chuckles ]
Devon: We are. I think that neil would have loved this tribute.
Lily: I agree. I think it's gonna bring people into his world in a way they would never expect.
Ashland: Ms. Spectra, was it? I have no time for games.
Sally: This is no game. I have a proposal for you.
Ashland: Well, then I advise you to contact my office and ask to speak with one of my associates.
Sally: This business is of a more personal nature.
Ashland: But we don't even know each other.
Sally: What if I told you i could help find out where tara and your son are staying?
Kyle: Look, I'm so glad you're back. I know I agreed to give you space, but I haven't been able to stop thinking about you since you left. You okay? I mean, things were pretty intense earlier with the dna test and the potential consequences it'll have for us.
Summer: Yeah, I got to admit, it was a pretty big dose of reality, but, um, it helped put some things into focus for me.
Kyle: What kind of things exactly?
Summer: I want to put our wedding plans on hold.
Nick: Hey, your mom told me you were here. How's it feel to be out and about?
Faith: I'm so happy, even if all I'm doing is catching up on schoolwork I missed.
Sharon: Well, that's taxing enough, since you're still recovering. The minute you feel tired, we're gonna get out of here.
Nick: I agree with your mom.
Faith: It's fine by me. But moses said he might stop by again later, if that's okay.
Sharon: I think that's fine, as long as your homework's done.
Faith: I'm getting back to it right now. Thanks for the drink. I'm gonna go sit on the patio.
Sharon: It's so nice to see her doing so well.
Nick: It is. I wish all my kids were in the same place as her. It's like whack-a-mole. I mean, we get one problem solved, and then something pops up with one of the other ones.
Sharon: What do you mean? What's going on?
Nick: It's just, uh, a thing with summer.
Sharon: A work thing or a life thing?
Nick: It's a kyle thing. It's always a kyle thing.
Sharon: Well, I don't want to pry, but if you want to talk about it, you know I'm always here and I'm willing to listen and help, if I can.
Kyle: I was worried you were gonna slam the brakes regarding our wedding, so, please, just give me a chance to talk you out of it.
Summer: Okay, go ahead.
Kyle: Yes, there will continue to be things with tara, harrison, and ashland that I'm going to need to deal with. But that doesn't mean we can't focus on our wedding and our future together at the same time. Those things are not mutually exclusive.
Summer: Kyle, I think that you are compartmentalizing things to make it easier for you to cope with the situation, but I can't do that, so I think it's just best if we hit pause on our arrangements.
Kyle: I'm getting the feeling I had when I woke up in a hotel room to a goodbye note saying that you couldn't marry me. So is this seriously about you wanting to wait until things are less complicated? Or are you having second thoughts about marrying me?
Ashland: Tell me how you know so much about what's happening in my life.
Sally: Well, you haven't exactly been sneaking around quietly. Rumor has it you made quite the scene at the grand phoenix the other day.
Ashland: Fair enough. Say I agree to your offer, what do you want in exchange for your assistance? Because nobody offers their help for free.
Sally: I have a certain stone in my shoe that I haven't been able to get rid of, and I would like to kick it on down the road far away from me and this town.
Ashland: And how do you think that I can help you with that?
Sally: By offering this person a career move so amazing and tempting that they would be an idiot not to go for it.
Ashland: I'm assuming there's some personal gain in it for you if this person were to be removed?
Sally: Exactly. Glad to see we're on the same wavelength.
Ashland: If you manage to bring me useful information regarding the whereabouts of my son, I might be tempted to reciprocate. You'd never want leftover onion residue

Ashland: Thank you.
Victoria: Hello, ashland.
Ashland: You have made my day a little better.
Victoria: [ Chuckles ] Well, given everything that you're dealing with, I'm guessing that's a low bar, but I'm happy to oblige. It's nice to see you.
Ashland: Well, it's rare that someone uses the word "nice" and my name in the same sentence, but thank you for being polite. Are you meeting someone?
Victoria: No, I'm just swinging by to get something to go.
Ashland: Oh. Well, I have a better idea. Why don't you join me instead?
Nick: It's no secret I've had my reservations about kyle, you know, for a long time. They reared their head up again after they got re-engaged, which was shortly after, you know, when summer bailed on their elopement.
Sharon: So you're worried they're still not ready to get married.
Nick: I'm trying my best to be supportive. And honestly, things had been going very well for them.
Sharon: "Had been"? Did kyle do something wrong?
Nick: No, it's nothing like that.
Sharon: Okay, so summer has just realized she's still not ready.
Nick: The bottom line is, they've got a lot of baggage, and every time they think they're through it, they're just not.
Sharon: But we're talking about kyle's baggage that's weighing them down?
Nick: And there's a lot of emotional turmoil. So, you know, I talked to summer about it, and before you ask, I kept my cool, didn't fly off the handle. I offered up my perspective without telling her what to do, and I trusted that she would realize the best way to deal with this.
Sharon: Good, well done.
Nick: Summer's worked very hard to come into her own, and i would like to see her enjoy her life without all this drama.
Sharon: Yeah, I wish that were true for all of us, but every romance has its share of turmoil. Love is hard, and marriage is harder. Look at us. Look at everything we've been through -- together and with other people.
Nick: Yeah. It's just -- it's harder when it's your kid, you know? I can't stand it.
Sharon: No, I totally get it. Maybe you could look at us as a positive example in that way, too. I mean, despite our tumultuous history.
Nick: [ Chuckles ] Extremely.
Sharon: But we're doing alright.
Nick: Yeah, we are.
Sharon: Okay, well, as somebody who has witnessed your personal evolution up close, i think that you're the perfect person to guide summer through whatever this is. And I think that, with your support, summer will be be alright too.
Summer: Hey, hey, I promise you, I am not running away. Okay? I have every intention of walking down that aisle with you, but I just need -- I need to take care of myself, too. With everything going on, it's just a lot to handle, emotionally.
Kyle: I know it is.
Summer: And I realized something after I had a long talk with my dad.
Kyle: Great.
Summer: No, no, kyle. It is not what you think, okay? He has been really understanding, and he thinks that you're doing a great thing, stepping up for your son, but he made a good point, okay? We don't know what's gonna happen in these next few months. You know, we don't know what this custody situation is gonna look like or what your role in harrison's life will look like after the initial battle.
Kyle: You're right. There are a lot that's up in the air.
Summer: I mean, when I plan our wedding, I want to be able to give it my full, undivided attention, which means waiting for tara's custody situation to be resolved, and that way, you won't have to worry about harrison's well-being or future. Is that okay with you?
[ Door opens ]
Jack: I'm glad I found you two together. Where's tara right now?
Kyle: She's, uh -- she's upstairs with harrison.
Jack: Good. I had a little encounter with ashland earlier, and I think you should know about it.
Kyle: What happened?
Jack: Well, he tried to warn me about tara -- said you and i don't know who we're dealing with.
Kyle: Sounds like he's trying to throw us off-balance. It's probably another one of locke's mind games. I mean, I don't think there's anything for us to worry about. Tara's been completely transparent with me, and whatever claims locke makes about tara won't hold up in court.
[ Cellphone rings ]
Summer: Sorry, it's a work call I've been waiting for. I'll let you two talk. We'll talk later, okay? Hi, this is summer newman.
Jack: Look, I am not making any judgments about tara, but there are a few reasons for concern. Objectively speaking, she married a much older, very wealthy man, then had an affair with a young man, and then chose to keep the child's paternity a secret. I mean, however much she loved locke, however good a mother she was, this does raise a few questions.
Kyle: Well, then you have to question my behavior, too. She didn't have the affair alone.
Jack: Well, I have no doubt you're gonna get caught in the crossfire, but you're not the one waging war against ashland locke. Look, creating a negative impression of tara is going to be his central focus. And you don't know what will come up. You've said yourself you only knew her for a short time, and that was years ago.
Kyle: Yes, I understand that, but --
Jack: I just want you to know, I don't want you getting hit by any secrets as this whole thing unfolds. And I, for one, am curious what ashland meant by his comments about tara.
Kyle: So what do you want to do?
Jack: I think we need to go straight to the source.
Kyle: [ Sighs ] Aw, c'mon flowers.
Lily: Tomorrow is going to be so special.
Devon: I know. And I love how everyone who loved neil will be able to be involved in the day in their own way. Hey! Did you finish your to-do list for the tribute?
Moses: Yeah. Of course I have.
Devon: My man.
Moses: Sorry I won't be able to hang out with you guys, but i have to go.
Devon: Where are you going?
Moses: I have some errands to run, and I told faith I would study with her at crimson lights. I assume that won't be a problem.
Devon: Uh, no, no, it's not a problem. Just be home for dinner.
Moses: Yeah, I'll be here, and I'll see you tomorrow.
Lily: Yeah, see you tomorrow.
Moses: Alright, bye.
Lily: Bye.
Devon: Be good.
Moses: Yes, sir.
Devon: [ Chuckles ]
Lily: [ Laughs ]
Devon: What? What?
Lily: Oh, boy. I had my time when the twins were teens as well. I'm just happy that you're getting to experience it too.
Devon: Gosh. I'm learning something every day. But I can't complain, he's a great kid.
Lily: Yeah, he really is. So, now that we have everything figured out for tomorrow...
Devon: Yep.
Lily: ...I have a little news of my own.
Devon: What's your news?
Lily: Well, when I leave here, I'll be going to my new apartment.
Devon: You're finally moving out of the hotel? Good, good. Where is it?
Lily: It's on chestnut, and it's very roomy. Lots of light. And I'm moving in there with billy. So if you have an opinion you would like to share, go ahead, but nothing you say will change my mind.
Devon: [ Grunts ] Okay.
Kyle: Tara, have a seat.
Tara: Sure. You wanted to speak to me about something?
Jack: Yes, uh, I'll cut right to the chase. We were just talking earlier about your upcoming custody battle.
Tara: That's pretty much all I can think about now.
Jack: Then I'm sure you've thought about all the ways this could possibly play out. Um... kyle and I were saying that if you want to protect yourself, you're probably gonna have to go on the offense against ashland.
Tara: I know. Ashland is a good father, when he's around, but that is rare. He's a part-time dad at best.
Jack: Okay, and you can use that, and forgive me if this is too personal -- does ashland perhaps have significant dirt on you that he could use against you?
Tara: Why would you ask that?
Kyle: It's not an assumption. We just want to know what we might be dealing with.
Jack: I had a run-in with ashland, and he gave me some pretty ominous warnings about you.
Tara: Of course ashland is going to insinuate terrible things about me, and he's gonna try and get everyone else involved. It's a classic ashland move -- cast doubt on the opponent and undermine them in any way possible. But I have nothing to hide.
Jack: I'm sorry to ask this. Are you sure?
Tara: [ Sighs ] I know why you would pose the question, but when it comes to my son, I do not and will not take chances, so, no, I'm not gonna risk holding anything back from you or kyle. I've done nothing to be ashamed of.
Kyle: Not even our affair?
Tara: I can't regret it happened because it resulted in the best thing that ever happened to me -- my son.
Kyle: I can't argue that.
Ashland: You know, I usually excel at reading people, but i can't tell what you're thinking.
Victoria: [ Laughs ] Well, um, maybe that's because I'm not sure either. Why am I giving you the time of day when you chose my brother and my father over me?
Ashland: Well, maybe you can help me see the error of my ways.
Victoria: Well, I assume that you're too stubborn and successful to admit mistakes.
Ashland: Well, I have my faults, but they are few and far between.
Victoria: Mm. Well, then maybe I'll ask you something that I think you might answer. What do you consider one of your greatest achievements?
Ashland: Well, that's easy. Being a good father to my son. And I'm not talking about what i can provide financially. Yes, I'm happy to be able to provide that for him, but the single most important thing that I have given him can't be bought, and that's time together. Despite my packed schedule, I've always managed to carve out time for harrison.
Victoria: I know what you mean. I feel the same way about my kids. It's so important.
Ashland: I mean, you might be surprised to hear this, but i actually love all those little moments that we spend together. You know, playing catch, reading a bedtime story.
[ Chuckles ] Harrison has been fixated on this -- this book with a funny elephant. You know, I read it to him every night. He laughs like crazy. He can't get enough of it. It's crazy.
Victoria: Oh. Well, when johnny was his age, it was "bumpy the camel." I used to have to read it to him every night.
Ashland: And how long does that phase last?
Victoria: Gosh, a year. You think that kids are gonna grow tired of things, but phases can last a long time, I'm sorry to say.
Ashland: Mm, glad to hear it. I'm actually looking forward to reading that book with the elephant again to my son.
[ Doorbell rings ] Ok everyone, our mission is to provide complete,
Kyle: What do you want?
Sally: I'm not here for you. I am here for jack.
Jack: Hello, sally.
Sally: I tried calling, but you weren't picking up.
Jack: Yes, I was having a meeting with my co-ceo.
Sally: Not a problem. I have been trying to hunt you down because lauren needs to talk about the new jabot fragrance promos for fenmore'S.
Jack: I haven't forgotten about that, and it's hardly an emergency. I have a meeting shortly out of the office. After that, I'll giver her a call.
Kyle: Great! Since that's settled, don't let us keep you.
Sally: Jack, do you mind if we speak privately for a moment?
Jack: I'm afraid not. There's nothing personal left for us to discuss. If we have any business to comport, we will do that in my office. Thank you.
Sally: Okay. Understood. I will see you all later then.
Jack: [ Sighs ]
Summer: Hey! Hey, I texted dad and found out he was here, but he didn't tell me you were here. So good to see you out and about.
Faith: Feels great, even though this is the only place i can come with my mom. Not that I'm complaining.
Summer: Well, you look amazing. You look very healthy and so beautiful.
Faith: Okay, let's not get crazy.
Summer: Hey, I'm being serious, so take the compliment. What's up?
Faith: Studying. Catching up to where I was before I ended up in the hospital again, and I still have to get back to rehab and therapy. Just trying to stay on track in general.
Summer: Well, you will. I'm so impressed by you. I know that we've had a lot of talks about all the huge mistakes that I made in high school, but I continued to make huge errors in judgment for a couple years after that. And you have gotten your life together so much quicker than i did. I'm really proud of you.
Faith: Thank you. Better not keep dad waiting. Are you two having one of those dad talks?
Summer: More like a follow-up to one that we already had. Although I have to admit, dad's been pretty good with the advice lately.
Faith: Guess we lucked out with him.
Summer: Mm, yeah, or maybe he lucked out with us. I don't know. Hey, guys.
Sharon: Hey, summer. Nice to see you. Um, I've got to step back into the office for a while and do some inventory.
Nick: [ Sighs ] Sit. Spill it. What happened?
Summer: Well, I, uh, told kyle that we should put the wedding on hold for now.
Nick: Really?
Summer: Mm-hmm.
Nick: When I talked to you earlier, you didn't want to do that. What changed?
Summer: I don't know, I guess I just realized that it's a lot to deal with, you know, with everything going on, so, yeah, postponing the wedding is the best thing to do. It absolutely is. Yeah.
Nick: Okay. Are you trying to convince me or yourself?
Ashland: Your ex is lurking across the room and probably waiting for an opportunity to speak with you alone.
Victoria: [ Scoffs ] Most likely.
[ Cellphone vibrates ]
Ashland: Well, looks like billy's gonna get his wish. I have to be on my way. I hope we can continue this conversation at a later date.
Victoria: Yeah, I would like that.
Billy: Hey.
Victoria: Hi. Um, I -- I know you called. I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you.
Billy: It's okay, that can wait. What's going on with ashland locke?
Victoria: Well, we were about to have a bite to eat.
Billy: Is that right? It's not the first time I've seen you two together.
Victoria: Well, I can't help it if our paths keep crossing.
Billy: Is that all it is? Is there a reason why you might be evasive with me?
Victoria: Yeah, because it's none of your business, billy.
Billy: Okay. I mean, I'm worried about you because you do know what's going on with him, right? I assumed he was here to see victor and adam, but he's not, he's here to find his wife because he's about to embark on a very bitter divorce battle.
Victoria: And what's your point?
Billy: The point is I don't want to see you get caught in ashland locke's mess. And then the fallout lands on you and it eventually affects our kids.
Victoria: You better not be telling me who I can speak with or implying anything about my parenting. I'm warning you, billy, you better choose your next words very carefully. Nope
"The young and the restless"
will continue.
Summer: You know, no, I stand by my decision. Although it doesn't really make things any easier. You know, I know that kyle loves me and he wants to marry me as soon as possible, but what you said is right. Once kyle claims paternity, then everything's gonna change.
Nick: Yeah, I mean, there's a kid involved. There's no getting past that.
Summer: Yeah, I mean, i just -- I realize that I have to adapt because harrison is no longer this abstract idea. It's not just a photo on a phone. He's here. He's adorable. But I've already seen what a huge impact he has on kyle, and where that goes or what role harrison and tara will have in tara's life, I don't really know, but, you know, I know that I love kyle and I want to spend the rest of my life with him, so I have to do things the right way.
Nick: Sounds like a good plan.
Summer: Although I just have to make sure that kyle really understands where I'm coming from. I'm not sure I got that across earlier, since we were interrupted, but I just know that we have to really communicate better than ever if we're gonna find our way through all of this.
Nick: [ Sighs ] Yeah, you got to keep those lines open.
Summer: Yeah. Kyle and I are gonna be fine. We're gonna be totally fine.
[ Breathes shakily ]
Nick: Well, I...
[ Sighs ] I just want what's best for you, supergirl. I'm so proud of you.
Tara: I'm glad harrison and i weren't standing there when sally stormed in. Jack told me she can't be trusted.
Kyle: That's an understatement.
Tara: He said she found out about the affair and used it against you and summer.
Kyle: Mm, she's a real piece of work. We've been able to handle her so far, but I would be just fine if I never had to deal with her again.
Tara: What reason did she give for stopping by?
Kyle: Some kind of business thing. She does that a lot, uses it as an excuse to see my father. He dated briefly, but he broke it off.
Tara: Why? What happened between them?
Kyle: Well, he found sally less charming once he finally saw the real her. Anyway, whatever her true motive was for being her, she didn't stay long and thank god, she didn't you or harrison. That is a headache we do not need.
Tara: Agreed. I promise to stay on high alert. No leaving the property or taking any unnecessary risks that might lead ashland to your family's property.
Kyle: Look, I'm sorry your situation is what it is.
Tara: There are far worse things than staying in this fabulous home with that wonderful treehouse in the backyard that harrison is enjoying.
Kyle: You really think he's liking it here?
Tara: He is in the kitchen with mrs. Martinez right now, doesn't have a care in the world.
Kyle: [ Chuckles ] I'm happy he's happy.
Tara: We were about to grab some lemonade and take it back out to the yard and play. Little silly fun is just what i need right now. Would you like to join us?
Kyle: Sure. I can find some time.
Devon: So you and billy are moving in together. I guess congratulations.
Lily: That's it?
Devon: Yeah, what do you want me to say? Want me to give you a hard time about it?
Lily: Well, I wasn't sure how you'd feel.
Devon: Well, you don't need my blessing. You have it if you want.
Lily: Okay, well, I'll take it. I didn't know that you had come around about our relationship.
Devon: Oh, I was never against your relationship. I was just concerned about how he'd treat you. You know? You guys have been together for a while now, and obviously both serious about each other, and I'm a believer that you guys are in it for the long haul.
Lily: Yeah, we are. Otherwise, I wouldn't be moving in with him.
Devon: I know you wouldn'T. I'm very excited for you.
Lily: Thank you.
Devon: And I always have a spare room here if you need it.
Lily: [ Scoffs ] Shut up.
[ Both laugh ]
Billy: Look, I'm trying to dictate anything. And you know how much I respect you as a parent.
Victoria: Thank you. I appreciate that.
Billy: Vick, I don't want to argue, I'm just trying to understand what's going on.
Victoria: If there's anything that you need to know, I will be sure to fill you in.
Billy: Hold on a second. Can we just finish this conversation?
Victoria: I'm sorry, I can'T. If you need someone to keep you company, I'm sure your brother will oblige.
Jack: Victoria.
Victoria: Jack.
Jack: Uh, that was a little tense.
Billy: Well, I'm not exactly happy about my ex hanging out with ashland locke.
Harrison: How long has that been going on?
Billy: As far as I know, since he got back into town. But I fully intend to find out more information about it.
Jack: What exactly does that mean?
Billy: Well, you tell me. Are the rumors true? Is he going through a divorce?
Jack: I've heard some rumblings.
Billy: Right, so I don't want victoria being caught in the middle of some high-profile courtroom drama that the media is gonna be all over.
Jack: And when you say "media," does that include you?
Billy: Come on, jack, it's too big of a story not to cover.
Jack: Well, let me give you another route. Maybe you could just leave it alone.
Billy: Are you serious? First of all, I run a media company, so there's that. Second of all, I don't trust locke. I don't know what his intentions are, and I don't want victoria being caught in the middle of it.
Jack: You could be jumping to conclusions. You could be risking his wrath for nothing.
Billy: Well, you know me, right? I don't turn away from a fight, especially one that would be as lively as this one.
Jack: Okay, I'm just gonna stop talking. There's no convincing you, is there?
Billy: Got to do what I got to do, jack.
Jack: [ Sighs ] Today, stronger immunity and better nutrition
Sharon: Summer left already?
Nick: Yeah, she had to leave.
[ Sighs ]
Sharon: Oh, hey, moses.
Moses: Hi.
Sharon: Faith is waiting for you out on the balcony, but i just wanted to say first, I'm really looking forward to celebrating neil's memory tomorrow with your family.
Moses: Thank you.
Nick: Goes for both of us, but, you know, when we got the save-the-date, there wasn't, like, a time or location on it.
Moses: Oh, that's because it's more of an experience rather than a ceremony, and that's all I'm allowed to say for right now.
Nick: Alright, well, I'm intrigued.
Sharon: Yeah, we're both excited.
Moses: Yeah, and devon's supposed to be calling you later because he needs your help with part of the plan.
Sharon: Oh, of course. Whatever he needs.
Moses: Thank you.
Faith: What's going on here? You like my parents more than me?
Moses: I'm not gonna answer that question.
Nick: We've been holding him up, but we will let you get back to work.
Moses: Bye, guys.
Nick: You know what? I think neil would be very happy that our kids were friends.
Sharon: I think so, too.
Billy: Hey, sorry I'm a little delayed getting here.
Lily: That's okay.
Billy: Wow. This is starting to look great.
Lily: [ Chuckles ] I know, it's starting to come together, right?
Billy: Yeah, looks like two people that have taste will eventually live here.
Lily: Yep, we're gonna turn it into a home.
Billy: Ah, well, it's a heck of a start.
Lily: I have champagne chilling in the fridge to go with our food.
Billy: That sounds wonderful. Sorry, we might have to heat up the food. I'm sorry I'm late.
Lily: No, yeah, it's fine. What was going on? You seemed very frazzled when you came in.
Billy: We'll talk about it after. I don't want to ruin the moment.
Lily: No, no, no. Let's talk about it now, and then we can celebrate after. So tell me what or who has gotten under your skin.
Billy: [ Sighs ]
Kyle: Does harrison always fall asleep that fast?
Tara: You wore him out playing tag.
Kyle: I think he tagged me "it" way more than you did. I'm not sure what to make of that.
Tara: It's a good sign. It means that he's feeling comfortable chasing you around.
Kyle: I'm glad he's adjusting so well to this new arrangement.
Tara: It's because he feels so welcome here. I mean, between you and jack and mrs. Martinez, it's good to know we have people on our side.
Kyle: Mm-hmm. We're gonna do everything we can for both you and harrison, no matter what ashland does next.
Sally: Told you I'd come through.
Ashland: Well, I haven't heard any proof of that yet.
Sally: I saw a toy that I'm guessing belongs to harrison. A stuffed fox made out of corduroy. That sound familiar?
Ashland: That's my son's favorite toy.
Sally: Well, I know where he is.
Ashland: Where?
Sally: Before I give you the rest of the information, I need to hear how you intend to keep up your end of our bargain. How do you plan to help me with my problem? We do it every night. Your dry skin story changes
Lily: Well, first of all, i agree with you that locke's divorce is a legitimate story and we have every right to cover it.
Billy: So you think I should ignore jack's warning?
Lily: I mean, my opinion, yeah, but then as far as victoria and locke go, I agree with victoria. Unless they're in a serious relationship, it's really none of your business.
Billy: You understand how hugely problematic this could be.
Lily: Yes, could be. But it isn't right now, okay? So just trust her judgment that she'll let you know on a need-to-know basis. That's it. Speaking of which, have you told her that we're moving in together?
Billy: Well, I called her, left her a message saying that we need to talk, but then that conversation got sidelined when we ran into each other, but i will tell her as soon as possible, and we will figure out the right time to share it with the kids.
Lily: Okay, sounds good.
Billy: I hope you're not worried about telling the kids. Johnny and katie are gonna be fine with it. They love you. Everyone loves you. And your relationship has only gotten better over the last few months.
Lily: Yeah, no, I love having them in my life.
Billy: Good. And I can't imagine victoria's gonna be all that shocked. She knows how I feel about you and that we're planning a future together, and I assume that this will be a very civilized conversation.
Lily: Yeah, I don't disagree, I just wonder how she'll really feel about it.
Faith: Thank you.
Sharon: Mm-hmm.
Moses: This looks good.
Nick: They seem very serious about their schoolwork.
Sharon: Oh, they are. They are super students. This is very important to them. Faith even signed up for an extra-credit science project. Moses suggested it.
Nick: I applaud that. I know that might sound ironic, coming from, you know, I think i can comfortably say not the most focused student in our high school.
Sharon: It's okay. Your secret's safe with me.
[ Chuckles ] Do you, uh, feel any better after you spoke to summer?
Nick: You know, she listened to what I had to say. I think she's making mature decisions about her situation with kyle.
Sharon: Okay, sounds like the first step on the road to figuring out whatever this is she's going through.
Nick: Yeah, well, they've got a long way to go. This thing is far from over.
Ashland: I'm gonna require more information before I can assist you. Now, who are you so anxious to lure away from genoa city?
Sally: Summer newman, kyle's fiancéE. She's smart, ambitious, and she's successfully running jcv. She has what I want, and for me to get it, I need her gone.
Ashland: Well, I admire your drive. I suspect there's something, uh, of a more personal motive, as well, huh? Perhaps something vindictive?
Sally: Possibly.
Ashland: That's fine by me. If getting her out of town will pull her away from kyle and that's painful for the guy, all the better.
Sally: So our goals are aligned?
Ashland: Indeed they are. And I may have just the thing to help you achieve yours -- a prominent role at an illustrious fashion house. Lucrative salary, lots of perks, and loads of status. Worth leaving town for. I can make that happen with a phone call. Now, where's my son?
Summer: Kyle? Kyle?
Tara: You just missed him. He just left for the office.
Summer: Um, alright, that's okay. I'll just catch up with him later.
Tara: You and I haven't had a chance to talk since all this craziness began. You've been so understanding about everything, but I know it must be hard for you, being in the middle of all this. And I don't take your support for granted.
Summer: Well, I appreciate you saying that. I know that you're in a tough position, as well.
Tara: Well, I just pray that everything works out the way that I hope it will.
Summer: I have a question for you. If and when you win custody and your divorce proceedings are over, will you go back to new york?
Tara: I don't think I could do that. I mean, I'd probably want a fresh start -- somewhere new. Maybe even here so that harrison could be close to kyle. If you'll excuse me.
